So I'm The Villain (Take It All series) - Max Verstappen
Current/Ex!Lewis (also massive age gap)
Summary: Lewis dating a woman in her early 20s was controversial, but he promised her nothing would ruin what they had. What he didn't expect was for the Dutchman who took his title to take his girlfriend.
This is for the girls who love a bit of controversy and definitely love a bit of villain!Max
Part 1 - When I Speak. He Listens.
Part 3 - No Point in Fixing It
Part 4 - Winners Always Win
Part 5 - They’ll Never Shut Up
Tumblr media
Talking to Lewis wasn't as easy as Max had fooled her into believing. Which is not his fault by any means but Lewis assured her that if she just listened to him and ignored it then they would get bored and go away.
Y/n didn't seek Max out for help or his attention. So when they're in Brazil for a race that many dub as Lewis' second-home race. Of course that means y/n wanted to be there to support him.
"Y/n, how are you doing?" Max asks as her catches up with her walking through the paddock making her literally jump and straighten up a little.
"I'm good...how are you?" Y/n smiles softly while Max walks with her, keeping in step with her.
"Good. Did you speak to Lewis?" Max questions making her frown. "No?"
"I did. But he said what he always says." She shrugs with a softly sigh. "I just need to ignore them and they'll get bored."
"They never get bored." Max states almost bitterly earning a look from her. "I know I am his enemy. But I am also here as a friend if you need one."
"Thank you." Y/n smiles feeling like Max might understand her a little more than Lewis right now. "How are you feeling about Brazil?"
"I am a winner. I win." Max shrugs earning a laugh and suddenly dawns on him that he'd never really heard her genuinely laugh. At any point, close up or from a distance. The sound is so unfamiliar but it sends a warm shooting through him.
"It's good to see the confidence." Y/n states before spotting Lewis in the distance he it's fairly obvious he's spotted the two of them. "It was nice catching up. Good luck for the race."
Max nods stopping his steps as he watches her walk towards Lewis, waiting on the one gesture that will tell him his chances. The one gesture that will let him know what his likelihood to take this girl who deserves better. And by better he thinks himself as that on this occasion.
She turns back, looking at him with a lingering glance just before she reaches her boyfriend who doesn't look annoyed. But he could be masking the upset with a smile, pleased to see her.
But that look back at Max. He knows that's his invitation in to perhaps play to be the one she is more deserving of.
After all on the occasions that Lewis has fallen short in the past, Max has performed and came out the victor. This time it's not a matter of sport or points.
Admittedly if this goes wrong, if he ruined a relationship with no benefit to himself or even with no benefit to y/n. He hates to think that this all may end horribly and if he has a say, it won't. But if he's going to pursue a plan to steal another driver's girlfriend, especially Lewis Hamilton's girlfriend. He needs to be careful and always consider what is best for her before himself.
-
Lewis had a consistent weekend so far. P5 on both the race and sprint starting grids.
Y/n sits in the Mercedes garage watching the sprint race. Only 24 laps but Lewis ends up P7 by the end. Not a promising look at tomorrow, but they can use the data for the real points tomorrow and he still got an additional 2 points for the weekend that if the sprint wasn't happening, he'd not have gotten.
Yuki ended up ahead of Lewis. An AlphaTauri that is prone to mistakes and retirements beat the 7 time world champ. Sure it was only in a sprint but the media will rinse this.
Lewis doesn't even acknowledge her, annoyance as he makes his way to media and then to the unit for the debrief.
As predicted, Max won. Having made over an 8 second gap from the rest of the pack. Though it was only so small because Lando had performed well getting P2.
If Brazil is Lewis' happy place. He certainly isn't feeling it.
She wanders off deciding not to comment on the matter, not to try and force her company upon Lewis when he is clearly preferring to focus on the task in hand. Getting a win in Brazil. It's important for not only him but the team who performed well enough to get their only win last year. Sure it wasn't his win, but that doesn't mean it can't be this time.
"We have to stop meeting like this." A voice jokes as she passes the entrance of the Red Bull unit to find Max exiting just in time.
"You won the sprint." Y/n comments making Max hum, not sounding all that approving of her words.
"I did." Max states then looking around. "Where is Lewis?"
"In the debrief. I'm sure he'll be there all night." Y/n murmurs while Max raises an eyebrow. "He wanted things to go well today, but I think being beat by Yuki might have been a blow to the confidence."
Max looks at her sadly before she swallows and smiles at him shrugging the topic off with dismissal.
"You and Lando did so well though."
"The McLaren are closing the gap on us. I'd be surprised if they don't manage a race win." Max admits as they begin to walk together, y/n heading towards the exit of the paddock with Max. "I could give you a ride to the hotel if you think Lewis will be here late and just wants to be on his own."
"Oh, actually that would be great. I just need to grab my stuff." Y/n states then making Max nod before she rushes back to the Mercedes unit. Bumping into George as she heads back out, he's also on his way out. "Hi, George."
"Hey, where you off to in such a rush?" George questions before spotting Max and as usual, there's no hiding his thoughts in his expression.
"I think Lewis wants to be alone and Max offered to give me a ride home." Y/n states making George look at her for a moment, clearly processing if y/n is really doing this. But she's impatient and doesn't need one of George's judgemental looks until it's behind her back. "I'll see you tomorrow George."
George just watches her disappear with Max, who doesn't look back but there's no hiding his smirk of victory and George is uncertain of what do to.
-
Y/n ended up having dinner with Max in the hotel, since he discovered that she hadn't properly eaten today, before they divided and she ran herself a bath. Steeping in the hot water till Lewis appears and he's not the easy to read.
"Can I join?" He asks softly after nearing the tub and leaning over to kiss the top of her head before beginning to take off his clothes.
"You know you can." Y/n nods with a small smile before she finds herself joined by him, his body sitting and relaxing back opposite her. Not that it stays like that for long.
Y/n shifts forward till she's straddling Lewis, her intention to help him destress ahead of the Grand Prix being her priority.
"I'm sorry I ignored you earlier." Lewis murmurs before he kisses her collarbone. "It wasn't fair."
"I understand. It's ok." Y/n assures him before using one hand to cup his face. "You know there's a reason people still root for you here, why they cheer for you around the world. Even on your bad days, you have more support than anyone else on the grid. You don't always need to be so harsh on yourself."
"I need to stop taking it out on you. That's what I need to do." Lewis states making it obvious he has his own intentions for this bath and how he wants to end his day. "I need to take care of you and that's what I'm going to do."
And y/n believes him. Not just about tonight, but she's hoping these words mean beyond that. But only time will tell and maybe Lewis has to hope he's just not too late to save his relationship.

Liveblog - Dofus, livre 1 : Julith [PART 14]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joris's face here goes hard. His lifelong streak of being disappointed in everything begins here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
:(
I genuinely have no comment beyond wanting to hug him. And also the fact that the way he says "LEGENDARY BUT DEAD FATHER (derogatory)" is so fucking iconic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're a lot alike. No matter how she feels about Joris, or her issues, she's not a fail-aunt.... shes the aunt that Stepped Up. She understands. As she understands, they both lost someone to Julith, and that unites them.
I like to think that, while their relationship post-movie is would probably be turbulent at times, — because they're similar, and hate themselves for similar things, but have different ways of processing these things, — that they were close.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He put on a brave face. But Bakara knows him too well.
Tumblr media
I really doubt that Jahash and Kerubim had a close co-working relationship like Julith and Atcham seem to have.
Here's some conjecture/headcanons: I think that Bakara and Jahash's father has passed away at this point, which is why Joris was given to Kerubim. Kerubim was probably summoned to Bonta/went there to help people of his own volition, despite already being retired. Jahash just had no one else to entrust Joris to, — other than the kind, elderly man who always told stories as they walked to the battlefield during the war.
It's kind of sad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder what Jahash asked of him. "Find him a loving family"? "Take care of him"? "Keep him safe"? Or was he completely silent?
No matter what he said, or didn't say, Kerubim has always wanted to be a father. Even if, in his old age, he has long accepted that it simply wasn't his fate.
I bet it felt like the world was making a cruel joke on all of their expenses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kerubim knows what is going to happen to her, going forward.
Do you ever think about the fact that this was the last time Jahash could ever hold her?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was probably just as outwardly serene, yet utterly devastated, when she was a child, and he could do nothing but watch, as their father saved her from drowning.
As he said in the Julith et Jahash comic: It's why he learned how to help people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Bakara, for her part, needed much more... with Jahash's departure, her world collapsed."
Tumblr media
He was so scared he couldn't even move. He could only clutch this child closer.
Tumblr media
I think it's easy for him to compartmentalize what happened to Kerubim, while realizing that Lilotte's life is at stake. It's not the time to be emotional. And, he and Bakara have a shared enemy, who killed people they love dearly.
Tumblr media
Another plea from Bakara as a person who is quite sure she was personally orphaned by Julith, to Joris as someone who was literally orphaned by Julith.
And a not-so-subtle implication of "and you have to be one too, this time," is here too, I suppose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If papycha was in this situation, he would have been brave too. There will be time to be sad, but not now.
When the push really comes to shove, he's pretty good at suppressing his sadness. We've seen this from his meltdown during the argument with Kerubim, and some select moments of Aux Tresors.
Tumblr media
Anyway, do you think Kerubim went back for his stupid hole armour when he could finally form conscious thoughts, and brought it back to Joris's horror, — or do you think that by that time, random other demigods have stolen it, and he had to go on a wild goosechase to retrieve it (so he could keep using it) (while not fixing the FUCKING HOLE IN THE CHEST!!!)?
Tumblr media
His 22 sons and NONE of his daughters. #misogyny
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Someone loved Kerubim as much as Joris does.

Note
can you rank the great houses? 😊
obviously this is just my opinion on them, etc etc also thank you for this ask i love lists alskjdfj
9. House Arryn
Constantly dying off but they had a lesbian and a milf as rulers once so they have that going for them. House Royce is cooler, GIVE ME MORE BRONZE YOHN I'M READY FOR HIM!!!!
8. House Lannister
I’m sorry but They Are Just Fine. When I’m reading their chapters I feel something and then I mostly forget about them after I'm done. I wish we had a real Dance era book mostly for Joanna and Tyland tho.
7. House Tyrell
I think it’s really funny that they are upjumped stewards and the whole Reach has been pissy about it for generations. Mostly exist for other characters to project onto but by god do they reflect back in fun ways. I want to meet Willas so bad but I’m positive if we meet him he’ll die soon after so rip me!!
6. House Targaryen
Interesting villain house that George gets too distracted by too often. Lots of fun historical characters, the cyclical doom is amazing to read but Dany’s chapters drag so bad to me at some points and F&B just pissed me AWF. The best ones are usually tied to her magic (prophecy chapters, fever/vision dream chapters) or her dragons in some way and the dragon bond is also what I tend to find most interesting in her ancestors as well.
5. House Greyjoy
I haven't reread Victarian in years but damn Aeron, Asha, and Theon are all as great as I remember so I'm making the decision to put them this high on memory alone. But this family is just a group of the most delusional people ever, struggling in a culture that doesn't allow room for struggle, and the way Euron acts as this black hole of terror for all of them, until finally, finally, there is Asha, not only knowing and understanding that the way she's lived is wrong but going home and dragging everyone else through the dark and into the light with her. Also, their culture is just really fun and cool.
4. House Baratheon
Started by my number two enemy, Orys Baratheon, but damn do I love basically everyone else in this stupid ass House. The House as a whole really plays with masculinity; what it is, the damage you do when you measure up to your role, the lengths they will go to in order to pretend the fault lies elsewhere, craving the pleasures but refusing to deal with the consequences, and all of that fallout landing on their innocent children, dooming them for the next generation as well. I need more Baratheon women tho jfc.
3. House Tully
I literally love that the Tully’s are in canon known as being huge bitter bitches. The most fucked up idea of what family is in the world but by god do these people try, they all try so hard to live up to those words but the price of duty and honor is always the sacrifice of their children for The Family, and not actual protection of their family, and while Hoster recognizes this far too late, his children become determined to do Every Single Thing Wrong in order to be loyal to both The Family and their family. Unpleasant people, I love them so much.
2. House Stark
Taught me what family is!!!! The whole series for them is an examination of the family unit under pressure and how their attempts to stick to their assigned roles (The Mother, The Father, The Heir, The Dutiful Daughter, etc) just makes them completely break under the stress so they discover what's under that - AND IT'S LOVE BITCH. I HATE the analysis that their stories are about rejecting love or overcoming emotion because it all comes back to that moment with Ned in the dungeons, remembering how he chose Lyanna, Jon, and love over honor, the way he chooses Sansa over honor, THAT is the point, for all of them, trying to keep these impossible oaths of honor and ignore love but in the end, the father they venerate chose love because it is not just okay to yearn for love, it is human and natural and good to love others.
1. House Nymeros Martell
LISTEN. WHO ELSE COULD IT BE.
If the Starks are a family desperately trying to find each other again, than the Martells have long been lost. A House defined in its modern day by the violating loss of one of its daughters in a society that doesn't put much worth in losing daughters. It's the themes of justice and vengeance, waiting on the system that is not meant to help you to bring you peace, on the people who are at the outskirts of society finding the line between the overthrow of power and keeping the cycle going, it's STANDING AS AN ACT OF LOVE. For Doran to his Arianne, for Oberyn to Elia in the face of Tywin, for Elia to her children in the face of the Mountain, for Meria and Nymor and Maron and Loreza and Nymeria and Mors, the point is not just to stand up and fight but to stand up and fight for something, to fight for the people who depend on you because there is no one else to do it. A responsibility, a calling, an honor, a horror.

Okay there is no Way this is gonna fit in the fic wordcount limit (and a lot of it is background understanding to all my other fics too lmao) so who wants to talk about fiddly somewhat mundane toad-centric worldbuilding in regards to Imperial Amphibia -> Caste System Implementation time period??? And even if you don't want to I'm showing it to you anyway.
The 4 tower lords (Cardinal Lords used as an older title when I write) as participants and vassals to the Newtopian military is... pretty new. Especially because toad clans didn't really have a formal military in the first place (and still don't- toad army we see is an arm/branch of the overall Newtopian/specifically Leviathan-ruled Amphibian military). Previously, of course everyone paid fealty (and taxes but we will get to those) to the crown, expected to follow the laws of the united empire under the Leviathan dynasty, but toad clanheads and lords acting in a formal military position in direct vassalage to another army is... definitely new. As far as 'new' goes for a place with an implied-lengthy history as Amphibia does.
Nowadays becoming a Cardinal Lord means becoming an officer- if said lord wasn't already one in the first place. It's a more concrete requirement in the modern era, but before that, hey, remember what I said about taxes? It's relevant just stick with me a bit pls.
So, with the Me-Brand toadbuilding, toads were traditionally nomadic, and likely a more pastoralist society (tarantula cheese...). This did include very few permanent communities toad caravans cycled through, usually as a place of trade/commerce and cultural significance (specifically cairns and mass gravesites) for individual and allied clans. And from there, the majority of toads split into a bunch of much smaller semi-mobile camps that joined and split, in accordance to whatever understanding or trade agreement or alliance or rivalry their clan might have with other clans. These towns are still around despite how vastly different they are, and three of them are in the territory of a Tower- South Tower is the exception to this, since the southern toad population used to be so heavily intermixed with frogs they lived pretty equally spread inside the same township. Which oof, way to show how things change for the worst in a thousand years.
Pre-Andrias, taxes could be paid in both currency and bulk goods or productions- and they could make that work, because of the seemingly-infinite power source music box battery maintaining all their tech and infrastructure. Frequently, this was how toads paid their taxes- a bit harder to do pure currency payments, as well as y'know not rlly paying property taxes due to not privately owning much land.
(It was also, I want to note, supplemented by raiding rival or enemy clans, because they’re still a martial society- they aren’t peaceful nomads before Andrias fucked up everything, they’re violent and there’s inherent problems with gatekeeping someone from community aspects on the basis of whether or not they've killed something/own a weapon. Which we will get to the owning a weapon thing Also in a bit).
Buttttt after the box was stolen, there were a few policy changes. Taxes were required as coppers- ostensibly to bolster restructuring efforts now that the Calamity tech that was the fulcrum for their ENTIRE INFRASTRUCTURE was burglarized. Coppers hich they don’t have much use for and thus don't have much circulating… yeah. But hey, specifically military service can be offered instead of coppers for taxes, at least for toads and some newts. Doesn't hurt that offering an out from taxes via military enlistment keeps toads and some newts from kicking up a very bloody, very messy fuss while the whole 'I invented speciesism and an oppressive caste system because I'm mad at my girlfriend and boyfriend' thing was being pushed through to law. Between breaking the law with all the severe risk of a nasty punishment/heavy fine that entails, or military service with some Perks of Power for an already highly combative culture? Yeah, no-brainer for why we barely see any non-military toads on screen. (This entire thing is a pretty damn slick move when it comes to enforcing ranks and systems. And admittedly less hamfisted than what we see in modern canon because frankly I think Andrias stopped caring about being careful with his enforcement of it once it became more self-sustaining)
The very messy, very bloody messes did happen, btw. After the last rebellion early into Andrias's reign (mostly made up of toads and frogs working together. Man this just makes it even more depressing to see the state of things in modern eras), only toads that were either in training, currently enlisted, or veterans were allowed to own and carry weapons. Which, beyond the practical problems of 'Amphibia is a dangerous place with lots of things that want to kill, eat, and/or poison you', when toad rites of passage and traditions, up to and including standards for being considered and allowed to act as a legal adult, rely on the use, ownership, or exchange of weaponry and blades... hm. Oh dear.
It's even worse for the frogs btw. Unless a frog somehow ended up actively serving a military term (which they are discouraged to), frogs were disallowed weapons at all. Because de-fanging and controlling who is allowed to be armed is kinda one of the first steps to suppressing and controlling groups of people, with one of the OTHER steps being financially suppressing and controlling (see the taxes thing, upward movement being nearly impossible for frogs and toads). Also contributes to casualties for frogs being way higher than they used to, since if they're a law-abiding citizen and get caught by a hungry predator, or bandits on the road, or any number of things they cant just drive off with pitchforks and slingshots, they're kinda screwed! It's messed up! And it's usually disregarded by newts and toads, because frogs are light on their feet, quite springy, they can just run, yeah?
Fun fact tho, this makes the Plantar basement stash SUPER illegal for some spicy revolutionary reasons. Hell yes good for them.

Ziv's GanLink Fic Rec List
I miss the days of actual reclists passed around communities, so I'm making one of my own. All of these are fics I've read, liked, and think you may also like if you like Ganondorf/Link. This is not exhaustive, of course. Please feel free to reblog and add your favourites!
Long Fic (80,000+)
no matter what by wouldyouknowmore Rated: E Words: 81,825
The return of the Calamity has been foretold. And while the peoples of Hyrule are united in their preparations to oppose it, there are some who believe the current king of the Gerudo would best be kept under watchful eyes, if for no other reason than his name. Fearing for his people’s wellbeing if he doesn’t comply, and all too familiar with the legends of his ancient predecessors, Ganon willingly places himself in Hylian protective custody until the threat of the Calamity has passed. He’s resigned to a lonely, unpleasant stay at Hyrule Castle, until he meets the Hylian royal guard assigned to protect him. Sir Link surpasses his every expectation from day one, fiercely loyal and courageous to a fault, uncaring of the suspicions that surround Ganon—not to mention incredibly charming. But as they grow closer, Ganon can’t help but wonder if their fates will tear them apart again before this is all over.
Ziv's Thoughts: This is a fun fic with some really excellent and delightful characterizations of both Ganon and Link. It's dealing with an interesting "What if" premise of the world pre-calamity in BotW, and delivers it well. The weight of what might happen to him is heavy on Ganondorf, but the relationship he builds with Link is just so, so sweet. *Update: The sequel is currently being uploaded:
What Remains by wouldyouknowmore Rated: E Words: WIP
A hundred-year sleep and a complete loss of memory aren’t enough to keep Link from finishing the job he’d left undone. The Calamity is sealed. The worst is over. They’ve even managed to come out of this ordeal without grievous injury, Link and the princess both—even Ganondorf, whose survival should have been impossible. They’re here now, though, and safe. But as Link very quickly comes to understand, safe doesn’t necessarily mean whole. His head’s a jumbled up mess these days, but he’s determined to push through it all the same, to figure out this whole After situation. It’s just, getting swept up in Ganon’s very intense presence isn’t really conducive to him thinking straight…

Sands of Time by tirsynni Rated: T Words: 103,445
Link awakens in the desert with no idea how he got there, to encounter his worst enemy…except it was the King of the Gerudo, not the King of Evil, he faced.
Ziv’s Thoughts: An excellent read. Link wakes up in the desert many years after the events of Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of time, only, he’s in a different time yet again. The story has a very fairy tale-esque feeling to it, which is quite fun to read. There are a lot of references to different Zelda games, and different Links, and it’s pretty cool how they are implemented. Ganondorf here is pretty compelling as a King trying for the best for his people in what feels like an increasingly impossible situation. Link is also just a wonderful little gremlin who only talks when he decides it is needed, and has fun with keeping quiet otherwise a number of times.

Medium Fic (20,000 - 80,000)
Little Souls in Blistered Light by hedgerowhag Rated: E Words: 58,970
The battle between the Calamity and the Princess's knight never took place. The Master Sword remains with Link, waiting to complete their shared duty. Five years pass and Link meets a stranger who is also searching for the Calamity to finally bring this story to an end.
Ziv's Thoughts: This story is just so, so good. I loved the journey they went on together, how Ganon is trying so hard to keep Link at a distance in the beginning, and how that changed entirely in the end. The character and world building in this is just delicious. I love Link here so, so much. And, of course, Ganon as such a sad guilty man. He tries so hard. There's some really beautiful messaging throughout and I loved the way Hedge wove it through so consistently. What is not to love from the GanLink salesman himself? amid sand and stone we stood by Eremji (handsfullofdust) Rated: E Words: 30,086
Ten thousand years ago Hylia and the Warrior of Light raised an army to defeat Ganon. Link means to finish the job once and for all. The beast dies on the grassy plains, leaking ichor into the dirt. It stinks powerfully of death, as though the very end of all things has been distilled down into one being that’s been left to rot in this fallow field.
Ziv's Thoughts: This reads like a fairy tale. It reminds me of how I felt when I read Deathless by Cat Valente for the first time. Kind of like being transported to this other place sideways of here and misty and full of possibility. It’s just a wonderful journey, and the conclusion feels right and kind of ethereal. It fits very well with the general setting of the games, but almost gentler and yet the pain is more visceral at the same time. I love the strength of love in this, it’s just so much, so beautiful.

one hundred years past 🔒 by tciddaemina Rated: E Words: 38,545
He wakes a blank slate, a living body in an empty tomb. Water laps at his skin, glowing ever so faintly, pooled around him on the dais, and as he opens his eyes it slowly begins to drain away, the blue glow fading from the room second by second until it is dim and dark. (Something is wrong.) Link wakes up a century early. It changes everything.
Ziv's Thoughts: I really enjoy this fic, and yes you do need an Ao3 account to read it. It's a fun adventure into what might happen if Link were to awaken in the desert somehow, barely any memory but he recognizes Ganondorf and eventually gets more and more memories back. It deals with a growing corruption, the building toward Ganon falling into evil. Good read. A note, if you're like me and dislike this trope, it is mentioned that Ganon has increased stamina as the Gerudo men were upon a time supposed to father a new generation. But it's a passing mention and not an actual thing in this story.
——————
signs of radiance 🔒 by tciddaemina Rated: E Words: 24,883
There is a feeling of profound calm, as Ganondorf steps into the temple. He should be feeling something like terror, maybe even something like anticipation, a mixed dread and desperate hope that would threaten to make his breath catch, make his hands curl tight at his sides. There's none of it. He takes one deep breath, and then another, slow, even, taking a slow step forward. He's past being hopeful, he's past being desperate, and the doom he's trying to avert is too ruinous a thing to make him fear any price he might have to pay. Weeks, months now, he's been searching for the entrance to this temple, scouring scrolls of rotting papyrus for even the hint of its existence, for the faintest chance it might even be real.
It is real, and he's found it.
Ganondorf makes a deal with a creature that might be a god, and then he does it again, and then again.
Ziv’s thoughts: In this story, Ganon knows that there is a curse upon his kingdom, and he can feel coming seemingly for him and he goes to seek out help. Link is Link, but also a creature, a godling, something more. The story actually doesn’t have much Link in it in terms of the action, this is a Ganondorf-centric story and it’s a good read. Again, tciddaemina’s fics are locked to users so just log in.

Short Fic: (up to 20,000)
a kiss for luck by wouldyouknowmore Rated: M Words: 9,279
Vah Naboris is all that stands between Link and his final showdown with the Calamity, and at long last, he’s found a way into Gerudo Town. It just involves posing as his own great-something-granddaughter, the plucky little heroine intent on finishing what her ancestor, the fallen Hylian Champion, had started. And lucky for him, King Ganondorf believes it. Now he just has to survive his last Divine Beast, and he’s set. … Well. He supposes also has to survive the charming, attractive Gerudo king’s (very welcome) attentions without blowing his own cover, but surely he can manage that, too, right? (So, yeah. He’s fucked.)
Ziv’s Thoughts: Link’s voice in this is just a delight to read, he’s such a disaster but he’s trying his best — Ganon just has no qualms with making him flustered and playing up on an understandable misunderstanding. This one works with the idea of what if Breath of the Wild, but there’s a Ganondorf who is also King of the Gerudo while the calamity is raging? Though, it is much more about the character study/misunderstanding between him and Link.
——————
The Crown Jewel by Nicxan Rated: G Words: 5,028
A Gerudo that makes jewelry for a living is shocked when a Hylian man moves into a Gerudo Village.
Ziv's Thoughts: This is a really cute fic. It is not set in any particular timeline/game. Just an adorable story of a Link who finds his way to Gerudo town and Ganondorf falls for him, but through the eyes of a jewellery merchant in the city. It's a nice perspective.
——————
Let Me Hold You, Like a Hostage by hedgerowhag Rated: E Words: 12,071
It almost seems obligatory that the Princess must be kidnapped. It would be a shame if her decoy was captured instead.
Ziv's Thoughts: If you're looking for a fun, shorter, raunchy fic this one has you covered. It's another pre-calamity fic, and this time Link is taken hostage by the Gerudo under the mistaken impression he is the princess. They hold him to get information and, in the process, he ends up sleeping with Ganon a number of times and is an entire gremlin about it.

Dark Urge Fic Recs Part 1
Hello! Do you find the Dark Urge to be super interesting? Would you like to read some fic about said funky little Bhaalist? Maybe even leave a comment or two? Well you can, given the power of my Dark Urge fic rec list!
My criteria for this list is as follows:
explored a part of the Dark Urge narrative in interesting and fun ways
uses said Dark Urge narrative to flesh out other characters and their responses to it
Thse fics are plot based. There can be sex scenes, but the focus is the plot.
There will be a part two to this list (I want to rec stuff for every combo of Durge/Origin, as well as dig up some Gen) but for now, here is what I got. I also write my own Durge stuff, but this isn't about me, so BEHOLD RECS.
Being the Urge is a fucking nightmare: Focus is on the struggle of being a dark urge character in the first place, any romance is really in the background
Anastasis: by Low_ Spaces
Rating: T
Ship: Gale/Durge
Summary:
They had been warned. Orin kidnaps the Dark Urge.
Rec: I love this AU. It has a fantastic depiction of the relationship between Durge and Orin and I highly recommend it. It's also does great work hinting at what is going on outside of our protagonist's POV.
Strong Ensemble: these fics vary in romantic relationships but they all contain a strong focus on the entire party as a unit. If you’re not sold on the main pairing, I still suggest checking them out for the dynamic relationships between the entire cast and a strong understanding of the importance of platonic friendships.
Cardinal. Sunrise, Morning Star: by @edelgarfield
Rating: M
Ship: Durge/Astarion with background ships
Summary:
It's a whole series and you should read it.
Rec: Absolutely fantastic series that shows how much the cast plays off one another. Each character gets a moment to play off Durge and those moments are beautifully written. While it's second person, this fic doesn't have a blank slate for Durge, instead the second person serving as more of a depiction of the Durge's mental state than anything else. I cannot recommend it enough.
Blood and Music Series by agrazza
Rating: T-M depending on installment
Ship: Astarion/Durge
Summary:
Tavran Gregory the half-elf woke up on the nautiloid with an urge to kill boiling in his veins and his fingers twitching to destroy. He drowns out both with his magic and music, but things aren't always that easy.
Rec: This is a wonderful series with a great look at the ramifications of Durge's entire situation and how that might play out. Durge's resurrection after the Bhaal fight isn't a quick fix here and Agrazza plays out the implications of getting stabbed in the head with thoughtful writing. The entire cast plays off Tavran in delightful ways. Where Agrazza shines in particular are their NPCs who show up in their post game long fic "On Darkness." A great read for those who want scenes that slice nicely into canon.
More relationship focused: these fics tend to look more at a relationship as their focus and how it works. Romance ahoy!
From the Jaws of Death: by Verelia
Rating: M
Ship: Astarion/Durge
Summary:
For all the ways he'd seen her carve bloody paths through their enemies, for all the times he'd watched her stand defiant against creatures that would bring most men to their knees - it most disturbed him to see her now, like this, twisted by guilt and self-loathing. It was the closest Astarion had come to looking in a mirror in two centuries.
Rec: As a general rule, I'm not a huge fan of fics that take Astarion's Cazador fight and add his LI as a target for Cazador. It just rubs me the wrong way. This fic is the exception because it understands this is Astarion's fight and doesn't try to redirect his trauma onto his LI: instead the Durge trauma here comes entirely from the Durge and man is it good. 10/10.
In Rapture, Ruin: by RM777
Rating: M
Ship: Shadowheart/Durge
Summary:
Bhaal’s voice rings throughout the temple, the vile and contemptuous thing. He speaks through that awful servant, and demands Vaszyne's loyalty. Shadowheart isn't worried, (and it feels good, for once, to trust someone enough to not be ready for constant betrayal) she knows the lengths her lover has gone to resist the temptations of her father. She will not give in, no matter what—this, Shadowheart knows for certain. Vaszyne challenges him, denies him the satisfaction of creating another monster to run amok Faerûn, another victim to a god’s ascension. "I would rather die." And so she does. or: Vaszyne seems remarkably calm for having died less than a day ago. Shadowheart is decidedly not.
Rec: You love to see a fic that understands the RAMIFICATIONS. This fic digs so well into the fallout from the Bhaal fight, how it would impact not only their LI who had to watch the whole thing happen, but Durge who just got super disinherited in the bloodiest way. I love the dynamic here between Shadowheart and Durge and it's that good mix of angst and hurt/comfort that feels like an excellent missing scene.
Recovery Series by @anxious-scrambles
Rating: M
Ship: Gale/Durge
Summary:
A fic digging into the aftermath of being Durge.
Rec: Have you ever looked at Gale and said "hm, this man needs a middle aged partner, not a 20 something (though the 20 something is fine too)." Anxious-Scrambles understands that assignment and has pulled it off remarkably well with Dreuer, and delves into not only the aftermath of adjusting from being a violent killer to a domestic lifestyle, but also adds the element of lost Bhaal warlock powers. Dreuer and Gale's relationship plays well to help explore parts of their character and this series really understands that "happily ever after" is work, not the ending.

why do u think sasuke apologized to sakura at the end? it's not like she apologized to him after all that she's done... he shouldn't have
I couldn't agree more anon. He shouldn't have, Sakura didn't deserve an apology from him.
My sense is that he did it because of Naruto. Don't get me wrong. Naruto didn't force him to do it or anything. But after chapter 698, Sasuke came over to Naruto's side and committed to adapt to a new life where he pledged to assist Naruto to reach his objective of uniting the shinobi world, and he wouldn't make Naruto's life unnecessarily difficult.
It's not that black and white, it's a little more nuanced. Naruto always urged Sasuke to treat Sakura and Kakashi better, because Sasuke was so irreverent towards Kakashi and contemptuous towards Sakura.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Sasuke learns about the truth of Uchiha massacre, he sees Kakashi's very evident hypocrisy and gives him a good dressing down in the kage arc. Which I really enjoyed btw. Sasuke just hits the pressure points, that's one of the things I like about him. He says very valid shit that others either dont see or are unwilling to see. Naruto is led by the light side, Sasuke is led by the dark side of their world, which is why they work well together, evidenced by their symbolism, the yin and yang, perfectly balanced and attuned to each other.
Anyway, Sasuke attempts to kill both Kakashi and Sakura in kage arc and it becomes very clear that he doesn't owe Kakashi or Sakura any consideration. Kakashi who conveniently uses Sasuke's clan's Sharingan to further his own interests or objectives and then has the audacity to lecture Sasuke about things, the enormity of which he doesn't even begin to comprehend and Sakura for the more obvious reasons, her egotism, narcissism and self absorption to the exclusion of everything else.
Sasuke doesn't give a fuck about team seven in Shippuden. But he tries to remain tactful as much as he can. In the war arc, where you see team seven gathered again, Kakashi tries to find about Sasuke's intentions and Sasuke meaningfully remains quiet. He doesn't want to be distracted from the battle, he who is so anal (no pun intended) about keeping an eye on the enemy, and he doesn't consider Kakashi or Sakura significant enough to satisfy their queries. And I like him a lot for that. :)
Tumblr media
All he has to say about team seven's teamwork is a succinct and insouciant 'hmph'. Lol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He really cannot give a fuck. And Naruto is trying to be the peacekeeper. So he chides Sasuke, like a mum, to behave. Lol. I find it cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sasuke would grudgingly relent and answer Naruto but he still won't really address Kakashi or Sakura.
Naruto mum - Sasuke, did you say thank you to Obito and Sakura properly?
Tumblr media
Sasuke - ......focus on the enemy Naruto (dobe!).
I mean c'mon, they are in the middle of a war and Naruto is trying to correct Sasuke's manners, lol. In a good humored way, of course, but it's very funny. Naruto was obviously very happy and relieved to see Sasuke was unharmed and brought back to the current dimension safely. Sasuke does tell Naruto point blank that for him, Naruto is the only priority because he has the seal and the rest of the players are pretty irrelevant. Naruto agrees but Naruto can't help his nature, ie, protecting people he cares for and urges Sasuke to understand since there was a time when Sasuke did the same for Naruto.
Tumblr media
So at the end of vote 2, when Sasuke apologizes to Sakura, as compared to how other apologies went, like Obito to Naruto and Kakashi, or Itachi to Sasuke, or even Kushina to Naruto, so eloquent and emotional, Sasuke's apology is trademark tokenism, like seriously it has five words in total in it, lol. Sasuke's apology is not even specific, it's deliberately blithely vague, and immediately after his attention latches back onto Naruto.
Tumblr media
And truth is, neither Sakura nor Kakashi were condemned in the narrative for their ways of thinking. Kakashi, with his well established faulty perception goes on to believe that everything has gone back to the way it was before, and Sakura, having not changed or learnt at all, acts like she deserved the apology so damn much, like it was due for so long and she is only getting it now. As if it really was Sasuke's fault and not hers. Lol. Some nerve.
But the point is, Kishi could not have made Sasuke ask for it, because harking back on it would have meant revisiting/rehashing the issue all over again, which would have given the impression that Sasuke wasn't over his bitterness and resentment, which would go against the climax where Sasuke just got his resolution. Ideally, this condemnation should have come from Naruto. Naruto should have held Sakura and Kakashi accountable for their third grade treatment of Sasuke. Which is one of the reasons why I hate the ending. Well, first of all, I don't think Sasuke should have been written to completely give over his ambition to adopt Naruto's but Kishi had to finally 'resolve' (I use the term with a pinch, nay, a fistful of salt) the problems of the current shinobi world, even if he had to do it forcefully while breaking storytelling rules, so as to move over to the upcoming plotline, Boruto ie, which had to do with aliens and shit as the shinobi world in it is sans shinobi problems, as Naruto has erased them. That and he couldn't have brought about any more discussions on issues that were related to democratic dissent or more nuanced ethical dwellings on the individual vs collective. It's not for SJ. Kishi did his best to imbue the narrative with it anyway, giving Sasuke the revolutionary, the role of anti hero, and painstakingly making his character narratively equal to Naruto's, under the aegis of SJ. But he could not have taken it any further. Sasuke's story itself was the allegory. But well, SJ celebrates Japanese sensibilities and so it would not have been possible. And Kishi had already fought quite a few battles for his manga. Revisiting certain things would have potentially opened a can of worms for him. Kishi got away with a lot to begin with. It was also important for Kishi to portray Sakura, as per her consistently written character as a self absorbed and self important wench who only cares about her own ego and needs and not Sasuke's, but wants Sasuke as her trophy anyway. It was necessary for them to be put together for the sake of Boruto (to sire Sarada), and with a person like Sakura, Sasuke could get away with not being emotionally attached at all, giving her meager and so obviously half hearted scraps and yet, she would rejoice in them. She is shallow like that. Heh. So this apology, and Sakura's reaction to it, is yet another indication that Sakura is so addicted to Sasuke that she would happily ignore and dismiss Sasuke's honest feelings for her as long as she finally gets to marry an unwilling and unloving Sasuke.
Anyway, apart from that, it obviously makes Naruto happy to see Sasuke adjusting to new circumstances and from how it looks, apologizing to Sakura doesn't make much of a difference to Sasuke because Naruto just confessed his love to him. Sasuke doesn't feel alone anymore, look how much lighter and relaxed he looks with Naruto, watching Naruto smiling and laughing, visibly relaxed. The rest of the people, including Sakura, don't matter half as much to him, which is proven by him flicking Sakura's forehead later, a certified Itachi move repurposed for her, signifying deliberate distancing and obfuscation/lies.
He also knows that Naruto tries to avoid conflict as much as he can and when he needs to confront, he tries to deal with things with as much empathy and genuine consideration he can garner. So Sasuke doesn't want to make it any more challenging for Naruto, who is leading the gargantuan task of bringing all the shinobi nations together. Sasuke's job is now to assist him in his objective and make it easier. Sasuke has already clearly been shown to hide information from Naruto so as not to cause him any worry, like he did when he made Sakura promise not to tell Naruto about the curse mark. Sasuke is wholeheartedly devoted to Naruto and he takes his position as Naruto's best friend, work partner, soulmate (implied), shadow hokage etc very seriously. So he would take on things himself and endure them, because he knows if Naruto knew, he will not sit quietly. He would go one step ahead and demand to share Sasuke's burden, he would not allow Sasuke to be alone or hurting, he would make it his life's mission to relieve Sasuke, just the way he did. That's just how they are.
Which is why the ending really hurts. Sigh.

In the early morning hours of October 16th, having been condemned to death by guillotine, Marie Antoinette was led back to her cell in the Conciergerie. She wrote the following letter to her sister in law, Madame Elisabeth, but it would never reach her.
Here is a translation of the letter, images of the original are above.
16th October, 4.30 A.M. It is to you, my sister, that I write for the last time. I have just been condemned, not to a shameful death, for such is only for criminals, but to go and rejoin your brother. Innocent like him, I hope to show the same firmness in my last moments.
I am calm, as one is when one's conscience reproaches one with nothing. I feel profound sorrow in leaving my poor children: you know that I only lived for them and for you, my good and tender sister. You who out of love have sacrificed everything to be with us, in what a position do I leave you! I have learned from the proceedings at my trial that my daughter was separated from you. Alas! poor child; I do not venture to write to her; she would not receive my letter. I do not even know whether this will reach you. Do you receive my blessing for both of them. I hope that one day when they are older they may be able to rejoin you, and to enjoy to the full your tender care. Let them both think of the lesson which I have never ceased to impress upon them, that the principles and the exact performance of their duties are the chief foundation of life; and then mutual affection and confidence in one another will constitute its happiness. Let my daughter feel that at her age she ought always to aid her brother by the advice which her greater experience and her affection may inspire her to give him. And let my son in his turn render to his sister all the care and all the services which affection can inspire. Let them, in short, both feel that, in whatever positions they may be placed, they will never be truly happy but through their union. Let them follow our example. In our own misfortunes how much comfort has our affection for one another afforded us! And, in times of happiness, we have enjoyed that doubly from being able to share it with a friend; and where can one find friends more tender and more united than in one's own family? Let my son never forget the last words of his father, which I repeat emphatically; let him never seek to avenge our deaths. I have to speak to you of one thing which is very painful to my heart, I know how much pain the child must have caused you. Forgive him, my dear sister; think of his age, and how easy it is to make a child say whatever one wishes, especially when he does not understand it. It will come to pass one day, I hope, that he will better feel the value of your kindness and of your tender affection for both of them. It remains to confide to you my last thoughts. I should have wished to write them at the beginning of my trial; but, besides that they did not leave me any means of writing, events have passed so rapidly that I really have not had time. I die in the Catholic Apostolic and Roman religion, that of my fathers, that in which I was brought up, and which I have always professed. Having no spiritual consolation to look for, not even knowing whether there are still in this place any priests of that religion (and indeed the place where I am would expose them to too much danger if they were to enter it but once), I sincerely implore pardon of God for all the faults which I may have committed during my life. I trust that, in His goodness, He will mercifully accept my last prayers, as well as those which I have for a long time addressed to Him, to receive my soul into His mercy. I beg pardon of all whom I know, and especially of you, my sister, for all the vexations which, without intending it, I may have caused you. I pardon all my enemies the evils that they have done me. I bid farewell to my aunts and to all my brothers and sisters. I had friends. The idea of being forever separated from them and from all their troubles is one of the greatest sorrows that I suffer in dying. Let them at least know that to my latest moment I thought of them. Farewell, my good and tender sister. May this letter reach you. Think always of me; I embrace you with all my heart, as I do my poor dear children. My God, how heart-rending it is to leave them forever! Farewell! farewell! I must now occupy myself with my spiritual duties, as I am not free in my actions. Perhaps they will bring me a priest; but I here protest that I will not say a word to him, but that I will treat him as a total stranger.

Why do people hate IS3 compared to IS2?
I've seen a decent amount of people who dislike IS3 and prefer IS2, or even find IS3 to be a regression or a push away from what made IS2 good. This isn't me trying to refute those claims necessarily, just understand them
Here's two of the most common things I seem to see people say, and why I don't really understand them:
IS3 has more RNG run-killing bullshit This complaint probably comes from things like rejections and a few bad emergency ops (territorial tendencies, water and fire union, etc). While those things can be a pain, I personally find IS3 to have far less RNG compared to IS2. Wish Fulfilled nodes offering a choice of collectible rather than just a random one is far better for shaping the kind of synergies you want to get rolling, and the odds of losing out on a good collectible you really want are slim as you can reroll a 1. Fortuitous Opportunities likewise give you a chance to turn otherwise worthless collectibles into something that contributes to your overall strategy. Whereas in IS2 targeting an ending like Mouthpiece or Playwright is a hellish RNG farm to get maybe 10% of runs through the required random encounters to trigger it, in IS3 a solid majority of my runs see the encounter necessary for Last Knight, Ishar'mla, or both. Additional shop options such as rerolling or fighting Cannot also help to let you see more collectible choices throughout the run and give you more agency in shaping your synergies. Overall, I find that IS3's tough run ending stages are more than balanced out by the far greater agency IS3 gives you compared to IS2 in developing your collectible synergies. (and besides, those tough run ender stages aren't so bad when you get a feel for them. Unless you're going for Ishar'mla, rejections are also largely a nonissue so long as you avoid leaks or only burn objective shield. Even on high waves where you start at 70 light, I rarely end up getting a run killed by a rejection. If it's someone important hit, I reroll it, or utilize the emergency dispatch node. There's other nodes as well that can cure rejections. Always grab random reserve ops and never skip recruitments, they'll soak up rejections. Most rejections are barely an issue anyway, it's just the stat halving one that sucks).
IS3 is too hard, minimizing the freedom IS2 had to let you use non-meta characters Frankly I don't really understand this one. IS2 is far more strict with stages that require certain operators. Wandering medics are far more important to IS2 than IS3, as Nervous Impairment is generally a much more strategy-disrupting status effect than Corrosion. Stages like Justice are functionally an instant run ender without investing in a fast-starting DP generating strategy (cough, flagpipe). Drone heavy stages are more common in earlier floors, and IS2 has poison mist stages where IS3 doesn't have any, both serving as squad checks more than skill checks in the majority of circumstances. Difficulty wise, yes, IS3 does generally have harder enemies. But the mere presence of enemies with more stats, more mechanics, or both, does not require you to break out the meta operators. Texas alter is great for stunning drifting sea skimmers, but you know who else is? May, a 4 star. Kroos alter, given out for free. Regular Texas, free from pinboard missions. Aak with his talent. Ambriel, Beeswax, Click, Cliffheart who came free with your fucking xbox, Flametail, Mostima, Skyfire. The list goes on. Can't keep up with a retching broodmother killing your melee units and wasting your block? Have them attack a defensive recovery operator, they charge defensive skills real fast. Take them out with ranged units before you place melee units down, works great for maps like Omen. And as mentioned above, it's way easier to reliably get a good collectible setup without rng farming in IS3 than it is in IS2 due to having more agency in what collectibles you get.
Other Those are the main arguments I remember seeing, but I'm sure to have missed or forgotten others. Also, what perspective are people approaching this from relative to the rest of the game? Are the people complaining about Sanguinarch's Legacy in the same breath as Territorial Tendencies just people who haven't gotten to ep10 yet?
Feel free to correct me, clarify, or dispute anything said here.

What are your favorite romantic tropes in love stories?
Good question. This requires some thought...
I generally like slow-burn and friends-to-lovers, including childhood friends-to-lovers. Dislike-to-friendship-to love is fine, as are characters who like each other but feign dislike because they're too proud or afraid to admit it (e.g. Beatrice and Benedick), but full-blown enemies-to-lovers (i.e. people who are dangerous to each other) I don't care for. What matters is that there be warmth, tenderness, joy, preferably humor, and understanding between them.
That said, I enjoy classic fairy tale Love At First Sight in the right context, as well as grand, sweeping Romantic passion, just as long as it's handled in a way that feels sincere, not shallow or caricatured.
I like couples whose personalities contrast with each other in complimentary ways, but also couples who have qualities in common that most other people around them don't share. For the best couples, both of these things are true.
I also insist (for the most part) on egalitarian pairings with mutual respect, mutual feelings, and mutual power in the relationship. If one partner has more power in terms of status, wealth, or other external factors, then the other has to equal it with the emotional power she wields (or sometimes he, but usually she). Equal character development on both sides is good too, and a good balance between that development and acceptance of each other, flaws and all. While I love Disney's Beauty and the Beast, I do slightly dislike the fact that the character development is so one-sided, with the Beast changing so much more than Belle does, and he changes so much that I have asked myself sometimes if Belle really loves him or if she just loves a role she's taught him to play. And part of what makes Pride and Prejudice so good a love story (at least to me) is the balance it strikes: despite pop culture misremembering it as a "woman changes man" story, Elizabeth and Darcy are both flawed and both change, yet both keep the same core personalities they always had, and both stay imperfect (improved, but imperfect), yet come together anyway.
I like "jaded and innocent" pairings too. Not necessarily "grumpy and ray of sunshine," but someone who's had a hard life that's left them cynical about the world and about their own place in it, paired with a younger and more idealistic person who unexpectedly helps them rediscover their own inner idealism, and who sees the goodness in them that they had lost sight of in themselves. I especially like these parings when the jaded partner is a woman, though the more common pairing of "innocent girl, jaded guy" is fine too.
For that matter, I always like couples that subvert gender stereotypes; I adore strong women and emotional men. One trope that's sometimes especially therapeutic for me is when a woman adores her male love interest, but values other things (her responsibilities, her morals, her loyalty to other women, etc.) just as much, if not slightly more, while to him, personal relationships are everything, particularly the love he shares with her. They have to somehow resolve this difference, which preferably they do without teaching her to prioritize her man above everything. I enjoy this because more often, we see it in reverse: to the woman, love is everything, but to her man, love is just one aspect of life, and other duties matter more to him than she does. I think my desire to invert this trope is part of why I've written a gender-bent version of The Magic Flute. Let the girl be the one who sets out to find romantic love, but then finds a bigger community and calling, and let the boy be the one who temporarily gets pushed aside (until they finally unite as one in the end) for a change!
An element of rock-solid loyalty is also a plus. I don't care much for on-and-off romance arcs. Which isn't to say that I only ship couples who are perfectly functional. Far from it! But I like a sense of "even if we fight, even if we say terrible things to each other, even if you hurt me or we hurt each other, I'm not giving up on you; or even if I do leave, I still care about you and I don't want you to suffer." This is one thing I like about Heathcliff and Cathy from Wuthering Heights, that lets me see a sublime beauty in their love amidst the toxicity: neither one would ever dream of permanently ending their relationship (though tragically, neither fully realizes this about the other until it's too late), and while they sometimes say terrible things to and about each other, they don't do terrible things to each other. I'll die on the hill that in the book, Heathcliff marries Isabella for her inheritance to spite Edgar, not to hurt Cathy, because Cathy knows he doesn't love Isabella and he knows she knows. They care more about each other's wellbeing than pop culture thinks they do.
To me, nothing is sexier than when a couple cares about each other's wellbeing; that's what love should be. I loathe seeing selfish, possessive love glorified just because it's "passionate." Support, generosity, empathy, sacrifices... those are things I like.
I hope this wasn't too much of a novel.

does the divorce feel familiar to anyone else?
The whole misunderstanding in E6 definitely reflects the argument they had at the start of the season over Gabriel/Jim.
"What I need is for him to be nowhere near me, and the precious, peaceful, fragile existence that I have carved out for myself here." "I thought we carved it out for ourselves." "So did I!"
Crowley has long since rejected Heaven and Hell. He wants nothing to do with them. He doesn't want anything jeopardizing his life with Aziraphale, on Earth. He doesn't want to go back to getting mixed up in Heaven and Hell's messes. He wants to spend the minimum amount of effort on anything Heaven/Hell want him to do while making sure no humans or his angel get hurt. He thought Aziraphale wanted the same thing. He sees them as a unit, and Aziraphale as endangering their chances of being able to stay together.
"Very well. If you refuse to help me then of course...you're at liberty to go." "To go? Oh, really? This is how you wanna do it?" "No! I would love you to help me! I'm asking you to help me take care of him.... But if you won't, you won't." "Yeah, I won't. You're on your own with this one."
Aziraphale doesn't see it like that. He sees himself as doing the noble thing by helping his enemy when they are down, and Crowley has always backed him up on everything else. He could always count on him. He doesn't understand why he is suddenly refusing. He sees it as Crowley refusing to help him and not Crowley refusing to help Gabriel.
Of course, Crowley comes back and apologizes for leaving him to do it on his own. Not for wanting to abandon Gabriel/Jim though, I don't think. He was right, in that it came back to bite them in the ass and put them right back in Heaven/Hell's crosshairs, which is exactly what he wanted to avoid.
This is EXACTLY the miscommunication they have again in episode 6.
"He said I could appoint you to be an angel. You could come back to Heaven and- and everything! Like the old times, only even nicer!"
Aziraphale wants to go back to Heaven to fix it, and make it actually good for once, like it was supposed to be. Not only for the humans, but for Crowley too.
"Right. And you told him just where he could stick it, then?" "Not at all..." "Oh, we're better than that. You're better than that, angel! You don't need them. I certainly don't need them! Look, they asked me back to Hell, I said no. I'm not rejoining their team, neither should you! "Well, obviously you said no to Hell - you're the bad guys! But Heaven...well, it's the side of truth. Of light. Of good." "When Heaven ends life here on Earth it will be just as dead as if Hell ended it. Tell me you said no."
"You can't leave this book shop." "Oh Crowley, nothings lasts forever." "No, I don't suppose it does. Good luck."
Crowley views it as Aziraphale running right back to the people who mistreated both of them, who has spent millennia keeping them apart, who has made attempts to kill both of them. He sees it as Aziraphale throwing away the "precious, peaceful, fragile existence" they have carved out for themselves. Abandoning their side to go right back to Heaven. In his eyes, Aziraphale is abandoning their thousands of years of friendship, of what that meant to him, for Heaven. Especially in light of what we saw in the Job flashback, that Crowley was lonely on his own, abandoned by Heaven and never fitting in in Hell. When neither of them wanted him, Aziraphale did, and now he's leaving too, to the one place he won't follow.
"Good luck? Crowley! Crowley, come back! To heaven! Work with me! We can be together! Angels! Doing good! ...I- I need you!"
Aziraphale sees Crowley's rejection, again, as a refusal to help him and not as a refusal to go back to Heaven. He doesn't think of it as rejoining Heaven's side necessarily, but that him and Crowley can bring Heaven over to their side. I think THIS is at least partially what Aziraphale is forgiving him for at the end; not only refusing to help him but trying to convince him not to help at all.
This is not to mention Crowley confessing in the middle of this, and the kiss, muddying the waters even further.
I don't think Crowley will be the one apologizing in S3 though...

Whats everyone in your conts sexualities?
Ooo good question! I’ve got a pretty interesting answer for you. At least I think it’s interesting. So in my fan continuity, Cybertronians tend to be a lot more open with their relationships and sexualities than the nuclear family unit model. Polycules are very common. Physical affection with platonic partners or even friends is pretty common. Having a platonic partner or partners in general is pretty common. Though that doesn’t mean there aren’t Cybetronians who experience romantic or platonic feelings that are minority identities. And what is consider a minority identity and how that’s treated depends a lot on model type and where that Cybetronian lives.
Enemy is only romantically attracted to other cassettes and refuses to call anyone her carrier because she doesn’t have an interest or attraction to carrier bonds. And a lot of Cybertronians don’t understand this about her, but his mix of tapes and Soundwave do and are respectful.
Frenzy doesn’t date at all, satisfied with the relationship they share with Soundwave and their mix and doesn’t feel any inclination to have romantic pursuits beyond their mix. (A mix is a group of cassettes committed to being together, whether there’s romance involved in a mix is up to the cassettes involved.)
Hook and Mixmaster are conjunxes. Mixmaster does a lot of dating others still and Hook prefers not to though he does occasionally, and they’re both happy with that. And wouldn’t want to be conjunxes with anyone else.
There’s a lot of variation in what Cybetronians in my fan continuity prefer for their love life. Most Cybertronians would probably be considered bisexual and polyamorous. I don’t have a list of sexualities for them because the way they discuss their preferences is genuinely really different from humans.

Unicorn Overlord: It’s good
Tumblr media
Well you already know I like to talk about games sometimes and if you have ever read me you already know what gets me writing: When I think a game is really good but also tremendously disappointing in one or two relatively unimportant aspects. So let’s dive into my thoughts on the latest game by Vanillaware: Unicorn Overlord.
First off, nearly every attack animation in this game is a delight both graphically and sonically. The attacks truly feel like they have WEIGHT to them, like someone’s getting fucked up for sure. Of course halfway into the game I started skipping animations quite a lot but the reason I skipped is because fights are a bit hypnotic to look at, and seeing Every Single Fight would make the game last an additional 10 hours or so.
Beyond that, the fact that the game makes you a programmer is just cool, you get to set several conditions to decide if and when attacks will be used in skirmishes. This opens up a tremendous timesink to anyone who cares about optimizing their teams. And hey, if a fight doesn’t seem like it’ll work, just move the characters around a bit, or their skills, or turn the assists off and on again, the rng is seemingly static so you can try any number of combinations before combat, and the battle preview is perfectly accurate so any prediction you see is guaranteed to happen.
Ok but is it too easy?
Surely enough, you’d think any game with that much player freedom is bound to be either too easily beaten by skilled players or too hard for casuals and my surveying seems to indicate: both, but mostly the first one. Upon release date I had to read a plethora of people complaining that the game was Too Easy, even on expert and True Zenoiran difficulties (true zenoiran being the difficulty you unlock upon clearing the game).
Honestly though I think the difficulty should be fine for most players, the problem here is that obviously most of the people buying day one are seasoned srpg veterans who will obviously utilize the system to it’s greatest extents. It’s no wonder that I saw spoilers for The Worst ending (which requires beating the final mission extremely early into the game) before I ever saw spoilers for the midgame or even the actual finale. People playing this day 0 were freaks desperate for a new srpg.
So rather than complaining that the game is too easy, I’d rather say that the issue is that it is Too Rewarding. This is a game where doing stuff gets you stuff, if you make a well thought out unit that steamrolls your enemies it is no surprise that it actually works out and it successfully steamrolls your enemies.
It reminds a bit of the time Breath of the Wild was released. If upon clearing the Great Plateau you go straight to hyrule castle, you will have a fight against Ganon at this maximum possible difficulty. If instead you choose to actually do the game’s content, the divine beasts will let you skip the first few phases of the fight, resulting in an easier fight against Ganon not only because your Link is stronger thanks to the hearts, equipment, energy and techniques acquired through the journey, but also because Ganon simply has less hp. To a lot of people this was an issue, they wanted the fight to be hard, but clearing most of the game actually made it significantly easier.
As far as I’m concerned though I don’t really mind it! Obviously if you prepare for a fight the fight will be easier. This is a complaint that while I do understand, I don’t really share at all.
Tumblr media
In the same breath that I praise it for being too rewarding I will however also admonish it for not having enough content for these types of players. Surely enough a casual like me feels like freaking Einstein for beating a boss while taking no damage but it’s fair to say more content or more interesting content needed to be there to fully satisfy those who love the struggle.
Not to say vanillaware didn’t try. You have the Coliseum where your units face off against actually well thought out teams, leading to an epic fight with a beautiful gigantic woman who will join your army only if you defeat her. And once you do defeat her there’s even more well thought out teams waiting for you in further arena levels.
This however begs the question: if you can make better enemy teams in this mode, why didn’t you do that for the main game too. Not only that but challenging coliseum levels will net you very powerful rewards that will make your army even stronger and the main game even easier. Hell, you can get all the way to Amalia early on and have a lvl40 behemoth among your lvl20 main army.
To make matters worse, Amalia’s fight is easily cheesed by the thieve, one of the very first classes you acquire. The fight will count as a victory as long as you lose less percentual hp than she does, which is way too lenient. For her final form at least they should’ve made it so you can only win by actually getting her hp to 0.
This highlights the issue we talked about earlier that I will spell out once again: the game truly rewards everything you do, however it doesn’t offer any further challenge for the rewards it gives you. To be fair with Vanillaware, they reportedly ran out of money while working on the game so it’s no surprise there’s no real post-game or whatnot.
The point is: you can show you understand team building and get Amalia early but this will make the following chapters extremely easy. Hell the game won’t force you to go to any place even though there’s obviously an intended order but if you skip ahead and go to the harder places, your reward will be having an abysmal time going back to easy low level content if you want to just enjoy the story. And oh boy, let’s talk about to the story, but first
The marketing
Can't recall if official sources actually said “From the creators of 13 Sentinels” or not but I'm still blaming the fans for spreading this one because no it’s not. Why would you ever say this. Different writer, different character designer and different game director. Blud_thinks_he’s_on_the_team.jpg. Yes it’s the same company and they have a similar style in the 2D segments but that’s it. If 13 Sentinels was an actually popular game (lol) do you have any idea how detrimental this would be to unicorn overlord?
These are completely different games. One is basically a visual novel with a gripping story that will have you hooked all the way to the end, which also happens to have some gameplay, while the other is an srpg with captivating gameplay, which also happens to have some story. These are two insanely different games, why even bring it up. Haven’t felt this mad since Zanki Zero said it was by the creators of Danganronpa. Bitch one of them is a cool, dark story taking place at the very end of humanity where some kids are humanity’s last remnants of hope, and the other is danganronpa. Don’t bring that shit up. They’re totally different games. Also before going on to the story:
The Characters
Tumblr media
Auch is the coolest boy ever. He's my little blorbo or whatever tumblr people say these days.
Honestly, it’s a cool cast, for the most part. Some person said on twitter that the game really gets the essence of just throwing Guys at you and they could not be any more correct. “Hey guys I’m Lex and I climb trees”. What more could you possibly want from a character? One of them even has the balls to, in his epilogue, invent democracy in a story where there’s only kingdoms and empires, hell dude you helped a king rise to power. What the hell. You get an old witch that reverted back into being young and instead of looking like a 9 year old she looks like a regular grown woman. For a japanese company to do that it must have taken So Much restraint.  There’s also a half-elf that’s discriminated against by full-elves, epic dungeon meshi reference, amirite. Hell there’s even a catgirl that’s just a human with no cat features, she simply used to be a cat.
Aight you got me, the characters are quite simple for the most part but I assure you they are endearing precisely because of that. My favorites gotta be Melissandre (been a sucker for swordmasters for over a decade now, plus her rapport with Scarlet is really cute), Aramis (his poses are so extra, love him), Auch (not only is everything about him hilarious but his epilogue goes HARD) and of course my most beloved: generic female elven fencer, for no one has ever breasted quite as boobily as she has.
Tumblr media
The Story
Alright so, the story, now we’re heading into spoilers. That’s right, spoilers for King’s Ranking and Dangan Ronpa, and also Unicorn Overlord to a lesser degree.
Tumblr media
You know how in Ousama Ranking we see how despicable it is when the previous generation clings on to life and their so called glory so desperately that they would rather supplant or ruin the lives of their children who insist on being their own person as opposed to merely vessels of their will, an impending global issue happening right now as our planet slowly rots away to it’s demise because 80 year old politicians outright despise the newer generations so much they’d rather burn the world as opposed to letting them have it. Ok. what if we used that theme but like, uninteresting?
Don’t get me wrong, I had fun with the story. At first I was supremely pissed off when there was mind control like 5 minutes into the story but the game eventually reveals there is no mind control and when it does, it kinda doesn’t fix the issue? Surely enough this is better than just a generic mind control scheme, the type of bullshit danganronpa 3 the animation despair side (aired in 2016) would pull off, but it’s still not stellar.
Turns out all these mind controlled people are actually possessed by souls from a bygone kingdom from olden days. The unicorn ring doesn’t dispel mind control, it exorcises the souls possessing the body, so that the original owner can retake control. So that’s pretty ominous and dark for sure but fundamentally doesn’t solve the issue brought up by mind control.
When Super Dangan Ronpa 2 reveals that it’s cast used to be supervillains prior to having their memory wiped all the way back to the time when they were still innocent, for a moment it raises a lot of questions. Going further beyond the issue of forgiveness for those who repent their crimes: Should we forgive those who don’t even remember their crimes? Who commited crimes against their will? A man burns down your house, your family still in it, but he was brainwashed, would you want him jailed? This is a fun thing to think about before it is revealed (in the anime) that they weren’t actually evil, they were simply brainwashed by brainwashing tech. Their acts of evil did not stem from bad choices made at bad times, they were simply forced into doing evil. This reveal of course retroactively ruins a large part of danganronpa and most of what it ever meant to me.
Unicorn Overlord, in trailers, fancied itself a game with Tough Choices, I vividly remember the trailer showing the protagonist next to a defeated enemy and the options Recruit and Spare being shown. So I for one thought that perhaps recruiting a bad guy would make it so I can’t recruit a good guy later on, or some other shortcoming. Like maybe executing someone would result in a drastic change in the narrative. But this isn’t the case.
Gameplay-wise there is no particular downside to recruiting any character in the entire game. Everyone recruitable is a Certified Good Person, who was either possesed or Doing It For A Very Good Reason. Ultimately it’s just the age old question: would you rather spare a poor man’s life and hang out with him, or gain +1 movement?
Tumblr media
Hell, there’s only two recruitable guys I actually wanted to kill. One survives anyway, you face him off again later on and he lives again and is spared without your input. He’s not even possessed but still did something questionable, I wanted him in jail but he just lives on like nothing.
The other guy I would’ve killed is immediately spared without player input. He also wasn’t possessed but still cooperated with the bad guys, in a nation high enough in levels to possibly be able to resist the forces of evil. Tough Choices my ass.
Tumblr media
Even if there’s no changes to the story though, the ethical question would by itself be worthy of note. I forgave this guy who aided evil but did he really have a choice? Was he right in that it would protect the people if he cooperated or is there something inherently insidious about allowing evil to be in power? Unicorn Overlord says: Who cares. He was just possessed bro. Or his ends justify his means. Stop having moral conundrums we’re trying to have fun over here.
Point is that it doesn’t matter if they’re mind controlled or possessed, ultimately it just absolves criminals and takes away any moral question to be had about their forgiveness. No one has to be a bad guy because the zenoiran empire are the bad guys.
I guess a more interesting question would be: What if the zenoirans were good guys? Or at least decent guys. What if they only possessed bad guys, and once in control they just chilled and formed a secret society instead of trying to take over the world. Would their robbery of people’s lives and free will be so inherently wrong that it fundamentally makes them evil even if they’re improving other people’s lives? Is it ok to let people lose their free will as long as they’re shitty people? If there was some kind of evil guy, a king who’s a molester and abused everyone around him, but he turned good once he lost his free will or was possessed by an ancient relatively chill guy, would that make it ok? If you think those are decent moral conundrums know that you’re indirectly praising Persona 5, a game were The Good Guys go inside people’s minds to take away their free will.
Anyway, I shouldn’t be complaining, I’m the type that for a while has been on the side of just wanting simpler villains, any time we get something with even a little bit of nuance to it you get the most annoying people online consistently arguing about it for… I guess 5 years now?
Tumblr media
They did put plenty of effort into this possession stuff, particularly notable in The Worst Ending. If you sequence break in a tremendously unnatural way and clear the final mission before saving Scarlet (the main love interest who is kidnapped at the beginning of the game) you get the worst ending in which you face off against her possesed body (which is implied to have undergone tremendous suffering and agony before finally giving up to the possession). After beating her and the final bad guy, Galerius possesses the protagonist and we see an ending featuring all the good guys in black armor led by Galerius, implying they’ve all been possessed too.
What’s really cute about this ending is that the credits show Galerius and his buddy Baltro first in the credits, that shit is hilarious for something that so few players will actually get, showing the final boss first in the credits like he’s the protagonist.
Tumblr media
Well, aside from that, all the stuff with the sanctuaries that tell the lore of each continent near the end of the game, that’s really cool. Angels aren’t heavenly, they’re a failed experiment that can breed. Furries aren’t a different species, they’re elves that adapted to the environment using magic, whereas elves from the south had no need to evolve like this because their environment is so different. Honestly, that stuff was cool, I liked it. Really cool world building.
Anyway, by the end of the story the game spells out even louder for everyone that judging is bad and forgiveness is good, as it gives you the option to either kill or cleanse Galerius, with the choice to kill Galerius leading into the bad end. So if you’re ever in a situation in which you can kill Hitler remember: Unicorn Overlord wants you to spare him, he’s just a little baby boy who’s probably doing it for very good reasons.
Tumblr media
Jesus christ dude just stop talking and tell me if the game is good or not
It’s a good game. 8/10 at the very least. Elven fencer my beloved I will follow your tits and ass to any game you’re featured in. Also play 13 Sentinels, not because it’s related in any way but because it’s freaking 13 Sentinels, if you haven’t played it then you really should

“I don’t need your help!” -Erin Lindsay x fem!reader
Tumblr media
Pairing : Erin Lindsay x fem!reader
Prompt : “I don’t want your help!”/“Let me help, please.”
Warnings : mentions of a raid? violence, stab wounds, swearing, blood, incorrect medical stuff, (If there is anything I missed please lmk!!)
Summary : After Y/n gets hurt on a raid and she doesn’t want any help, yet her biggest enemy insists on helping her.
A/n :
Enemies to lovers, hurt/comfort?, slight angst & slow-burn ig?
“Y/n are you okay?” Jay shouted seeing you down on the floor after you got knocked down by the guy you and the unit were trying to catch. Luckily he was already in handcuffs and sitting in the back of the patrol car.
“Yep, I’m fine Jay don’t worry. He just knocked me over. I’m fine.” You replied trying to get up from the ground. Jay walked up to where you were laying and he reached out his hand, you quickly grabbed it and pulled yourself up groaning. “You sure you're alright Y/n?” He asked, looking at you with concern showing on his face. “I think so I’m probably just going to have a few bruises and stuff but I’m fine.” Jay just nodded and after you got up he walked down the stairs, since he wanted to talk to Voight about something.
Slowly you started walking towards the entrance to the house. Feeling her eyes on you, you slightly winced. You didn’t want to go to Med since it was just a bad bruise that would fade in a few days. Or so you thought.
Soon Voight gave everyone the green light to go back to the district. Getting into Antonio’s car you sighed slightly. You were exhausted, since you hadn’t slept well these past few days trying to catch the guy who did all of this. “You good partner?” Antonio asked, looking over to you in concern. “Just tired Tonio, I can’t wait to go to bed and sleep.” You laughed lightly. “Me too, this case was really hard but I’m so glad we caught him and it’s over now.” He said, smiling gently at you. You just nodded in agreement. “I need to get changed, since my clothes are all dirty and ripped from this bastard knocking me over.” You groaned getting out of the car since you were finally back at the district.
Soon you were both back in the bullpen and after saying hello to Nadia, you went over to your desk and sat down. You could still feel her eyes on you.
You didn’t understand Erin at all. At first when you joined the unit she was really nice and friendly and then one day it all changed and she started being mean and icy towards you.
You had even asked both Jay and Antonio if you had done something to upset her or make her mad. Even they were confused saying that Erin wasn’t usually like this and that soon she would warm up to you. But that day never came, you soon just started ignoring her and stopped trying to talk to her. Why should you try and put in the effort if all she was going to do was ignore you or be rude towards you?
You headed towards the bathroom to see the bruise and how bad it was since it hurt a lot. The pain was so numbing you could barely walk.
Soon you were standing in front of the bathroom mirror, gently pulling your shirt up you let out a small gasp. It wasn’t a small bruise or cut, it was a pretty big stab wound. You had felt so much adrenaline in the moment, that you didn’t even realise when you had gotten stabbed.
Hearing the bathroom door open you quickly tried to pull down your shirt on time but it was too late. Erin had already seen it. Quickly you headed towards the door walking past her. You just felt her grab your wrist in an iron grip. “And where do you think you are going?” She asked, looking at you with something similar to concern. “As far away from you as possible.” You mumbled under your breath.
“Do you want me to tell Voight or what?” Giving her the death stare you stopped and looked at her.
“What do you want from me, detective? Do you want to tell me I’m wrong as usual? Or act like such a mean person again? I’m so sick and tired of you, all you have done is make my life hell ever since I joined this unit. So I don’t appreciate your empty threats.” You replied looking at her with so much anger. “Y/n….” She tried to say, but you interrupted her by saying “Just leave me alone Lindsay. I don’t want your help!” You nearly shouted at her, you were so mad. How could she treat you so badly and now act like she was your friend?
“Y/n, just let me help…please just this once.” She begged you, still not letting go of your wrist. You tried to push past her, but she was quicker. “Please just let me go. I’ll be alright I just….” You didn’t finish your sentence since the pain became so overwhelming for you.
Without another word from both of you Erin just grabbed your wrist tighter and put her other hand around your waist and started guiding you out of the bathroom and towards the locker room where she knew there was a first aid kit in case of an emergency.
Soon you were sitting on the bench in the locker room, with Erin kneeling on the ground in front of you. Opening the first aid kit she took out all the supplies she needed to patch you up.
“You should really go to Med Y/n.” She said softly looking at you.
“It’s just a small wound Erin. I’ll be fine, it will heal soon.” You replied annoyed.
Erin just sighed in response. “Can you please pull up your t-shirt? So I can see how deep it is and disinfect it.” You slowly pulled up your t-shirt to show her the wound. Hearing her small gasp you knew it was bad.
Erin took out some bandages, disinfectant and some gloves. She slowly started gently cleaning the wound with disinfectant which made you flinch since it stung and was really cold. “I know, I know. It’ll soon be over, I just need to disinfect it and patch it up.” She said softly looking up at you. Your face was twisted in pain since you could feel the pain get worse.
“It hurts.” You whimpered.
“I know Y/n/n, I think we still need to get you to Med since you might need stitches.” She replied looking at you with concern written all over her face.
A while later she finished patching you up and throwing everything into the trash can she stood up. Walking over to her locker she pulled out something from her bag and handed you a granola bar with a bottle of water. “You need some energy Y/n. I still think you should go to Med or at least tell someone about your wound.” You just nodded slightly, looking up at her with glassy eyes. Erin sat down next to you bringing you into a hug, you didn’t resist. You started feeling really tired and sleepy. “Erin, can I ask you something?” You asked in a small voice pulling away from her to look her in the eyes. “Of course Y/n. Is everything alright?” Seeing your sad expression made her heart break into small pieces. She hated seeing you look so sad and miserable.
“Why do you dislike me so much? I mean at first you were really nice and then you just started turning cold and icy towards me. Did I do something to piss you off or what?” Erin was shocked hearing your words. “I just want to know why.” You softly added.
“Y/n I don’t hate you. I’m really sorry for being such a jerk and I know I shouldn't have taken my fear and anger on you. It’s just after Jay broke my heart I started to realise how much I like you and it just scares me. I’ve never felt like this and I just didn’t know what to do.” She said slowly reaching up to wipe the tears from your cheek. You nodded in response. “I really like you too Erin and I’m also sorry for being an asshole.”
“You were never the asshole here. I know saying sorry won’t fix anything but could you please maybe give me a second chance? If you want to, of course.” Erin said, looking at you sadly.
“I forgave you a long time ago.” You replied, smiling gently at her.
“Could we please maybe try to get to know each other better? As friends.”
“I’d like that.” You nodded.
“Can I give you a hug?” Erin asked softly. You nodded, so the brunette pulled you into her arms once again. You started crying ever more, hiding your face into her shoulder. Erin just rubbed your back slowly to help you calm down.
“I don’t want to over step but can I drive you back to your place? I just don’t think it’s a good idea for you to drive with such a wound.” She asked gently.
Soon you both arrived at your apartment and after Erin walked you to your door she turned around to leave. You quickly stopped her, grabbing her hand.
“Erin, I know this is silly and I’m really sorry if this is too soon but could you please maybe stay? I just don’t want to be alone right now….” You trailed off not finishing your sentence. “Of course I can stay.” She smiled at you. After opening the door you let her in first. Taking off your shoes and coat you gently padded towards the kitchen to find some food you both could eat. “Are you hungry?” You asked, turning around to face her. “A little bit, maybe we should order some takeout? If you want to, too.” “Takeout sounds amazing right now since I don’t have the energy to cook anything. What should we order?” You asked.
“Hmmm maybe pizza?” “Sounds great Erin. Do you want to watch a movie or something while we eat?” The brunette just nodded in reply.
After a while you started getting really sleepy since today was an exhausting day. Erin noticed you were falling asleep and she smiled at how cute you were while trying not to fall asleep. “What are you laughing at Lindsay?” You asked in a joking tone. “You. You look so adorable when you are trying to not fall asleep.” She laughed in response. “So you think I’m cute?” You asked, sitting up and looking over at her. “I do. I mean who wouldn’t? You are so adorable Y/n/n.” You smiled widely at the nickname since it has been ages since she last called you that. “Y/n, I also wanted to tell you something.” Erin said her face suddenly turning serious. You nodded at her to continue and she started fiddling with her hands not looking you into your eyes.  “Is everything alright? I promise I won’t get mad or anything.” You said, grabbing her hand. “I like you Y/n. Alot.”
“I like you too Erin.” You smiled at her squeezing her hand in reassurance.
“I like you in a romantic kind of way. I’m really sorry if this makes you uncomfortable but I just wanted to say it and get it off my chest.”
Oh
OH-
“I like you like that too Erin.” Seeing how her face lit up at your words you smiled even wider. “Would you maybe want to go on a date someday?” She asked slowly. “Of course I want to!! I wanted to ask you out for the longest time but I was too much of a coward to do that.” Erin just pulled you into a hug and you could feel her place a small kiss on your hair. “I really like you a lot Erin and thank you for taking such good care of me today.” You gently pulled away and looked at her with eyes full of adoration and love. “Thank you for letting me help Y/n/n. Just please don’t get stabbed anymore alright?”
Soon you both changed into more comfortable clothes and fell asleep on the sofa while the end credits of the movie were playing in the background.
