To add to this post.
Our dearest boy becomes surprisingly consistent if you try to describe him as a fae.
mischievous, isn't concerned with social rules (it's not his society)
mostly just wants to be entertained but has strange archaic ideas of honour
likes kids but not grown ups
doesn't lie but is good at tricking people without lying
values dreams, poetry and good stories above survival
has a capacity for loyalty far beyond what would be typical for a human
(disregard the fact that his concept of relationships is similar to that of a cat. will bring you a dead mouse and be incredibly proud of himself)
fierce, weirdly proud, pretty
returns favours with favours of his own (this sounds normal but actually it's extremely rare in teyvat)
It all works very well… with one tiny problem.
He isn't a fae.

It just occurred to me that Rei is actually a pretty flighty person, even if it's hard to tell based on his image.
Outwardly, he looks calm, sane and mature, but in fact he is a cursed chaotic fool man much more frivolous than you might think. And he's always been like that, it's just that in his second year he showed it more vividly.
When choosing an occupation, this genius is guided first by whether he will have fun doing it, whether this case looks interesting and exciting. Whether it's hanging out in an underground club and attracting local punks or dealing with a mafia gang (doesn't it seem to you that his area of influence has somehow expanded?)
Even as a child, he dealt with people because he genuinely liked it.
This is unnoticeable solely because Rei is smart and resourceful enough for his affairs to succeed (and he is also kind enough so that his adventures do not harm others, but on the contrary, benefit). Everyone admits that he only needs to want the issue to be resolved. And the problem will be solved, because this man is literally capable of anything.
His thought process looks something like this:
he sees "something" –> he finds it entertaining –> a plan of action is formed in his head, and POOF!! –> the case is successfully completed.
And his current desire is to try everything new, interesting and exciting that is possible. He literally needs nothing more than a happy and interesting life. And yes, helping people is also sometimes part of his area of interest :)
In short, yes, the sanest person here is Kaoru. Discussions are not accepted.

that live task felt like a teacher leaving the classroom for 2 minutes and coming back to find half the students under the tables, all the whiteboard pens missing and a child sat at the desk pretending to be the teacher. very similar energy.

Stealth doesn’t help the trans community. I'm not saying we have to be an activist, wear a t-shirt announcing our trans status, but we have an obligation to help advance the human rights of the trans community we belong to
These viewpoints, while I can appreciate them, tend not to recognize the full scope of why people are stealth in the first place.
If stealth is not right for you, don't be stealth. However, not recognizing the nuances of stealth doesn't help trans people either. You can be an advocate for trans people without being out because you don't need to be out to help the trans community. Additionally, nobody is obligated to know one's trans status. I'm pretty stealth in my real life because I owe nobody that information about my identity. And I do my best to make trans folks one of my primary interests in my life. These two things coexist in my life, and that's why these viewpoints are generally confusing to me. You don't need to be out - or let anybody know about your transness - in order to advance trans rights. Hell, you don't even need to be trans to do that.
Nobody should ever be obligated to be stealth. The expectation that trans people fade away in society is wholly asinine. However, that doesn't mean that stealth inherently is problematic. Stealth is not inherently adverse to trans rights.

i genuinely think that ocs become much more real (as in they have a more physical presence in your mind, if that makes sense) if you consider things like whether they have things like stretch marks and body hair. seems like something you guys probably know, but it’s happened to me more than once - the moment i gave cass body hair, for example, he became just that much more real (for the cass enjoyers on main, he is a fairly hairy dude! i’m talking whole nine yards + full beard kinda hairy. anyway.)
so in that name, barring any non-humanoids, here’s a rundown for that for my gw2 girlies! under the cut for some talk of malnourishment and a lot of body stuff relating to ren, by virtue of her whole story:
nyra, outside from her scars, also has stretch marks on the expected places. she also doesn’t bother shaving - her legs are half-scarred anyway, shaving would be a waste of time in her mind.
sanne likewise doesn’t bother shaving, but she’s also blonde, so her body hair isn’t that noticeable anyway. i don’t think she has stretch marks much, but she does strike me as someone who has some cellulite.
mirka is also in the no shaving camp, but she’s dark-haired so doesn’t really have a peach fuzz. she’s also white, so it’s gonna show (kinda like how a lot of slav, specifically serbian, women i modeled her after - myself included - will be pale-skinned but dark-haired. that’s the vibes.) she also has stretch marks because she’s 9′3! she’s giant! her body had to lengthen and adapt to being a giant as she grew up!
ren,, oh boy there’s a lot to talk about. first off - she doesn’t have scars from her cosmetic surgeries. i do not know what she looked like pre-surgery. the scars were magically removed when she was healing from them. she does keep her stretch marks, because she did gain a lot of weight; when she came to the chantry, she was quite literally malnourished and entirely too underfed. to this day, she is more soft and has a rounder, softer frame. i imagine she also has cellulite as well. but she is mostly scar free, though.

Literally begging crying and screaming at the Dragon Age fandom, when you are making generic posts about the protagonists PLEASE start using they/them pronouns. It's such a small yet incredibly annoying thing to see people talk about these characters in a general context with a single gendered pronoun. It's language that is excluding and I at least instantly lose any enjoyment from your super funny joke or meta post when I see that.
