My uncle being a better ally than my mom rn lol
He was talking abt in the future if i have a boyfriend, then corrected it to partner, to find someone who liked watching me play ukulele
My mom was weird abt it when she asked if a friend I had over is my girlfriend by saying "So [friends name], is she..."
And honestly im living for it
My mom also dismisses my gender identity whereas my uncle said something along the lines of "If anything changes let me know, I don't want to say something that hurts or offends you. I wanna be square with you."
Even though, we don't live under the same roof and I only see him once a week I talk to him more than I talk to my dad and he feels like more of a parent to me than my mom.
He doesn't have to say the words "I love you" to make me feel loved. It's in the way he's patient, doesn't talk down to me, treats me like an equal, asks about how I've been and seems genuinely interested in my interests.
Whenever I see one of those 'you're trapped in an elevator with x amount of adult men, you feel completely safe who are they' the first person I always say is my uncle.
I'm sobbing while writing this because god damn i need a family therapy session

Examples include:
I should eat something now so i dont remember when its 10pm
I need to use the bathroom before i forget

If i dont do my laundry now im gonna end up in dirty clothes
*checks time, its 8:30pm* shit my laundry

Reasons why we will probably never have a live action Hunchback of Notre Dame (spoiler alert im pissed off)
tw for a lot lot lot of death related things
drowning, murder, fire and uh i mention racism a couple of times (3-5 i think), also hinting at the sexualization of women
im adding why the G word is wrong here its also further in the post however fore warning for a lot more violence towards women is mentioned and talked about
if any of thats not your cup of tea thats why the keep reading it here
Cathedral's gone
They would have to call Esmeralda and her people Romani or Roma (correct me if that's wrong please) and not a slur, not that thats a bad thing, it was discomforting for me as a small white child who didnt know better to listen to that, i cant imagine how it affected Romani people
(It was at this point in the writing of this post that connor was looking for reasons that a live version of this movie shouldnt be made that it came to their attention that disney insider made an article 2 fucking years ago teasing the development of a live action adaptation and there has in fact been an update and connor got pissed off because in the entirety of the article it wasnt stated that its wrong to use the word they used, the movie is still in development apparently, (Side Note: found an article abt why people shouldnt use it here ) there isnt promotional material for this yet and theres not even a cast yet, im pissed abt the movie)
the entirety of the festival of fools, specifically "look at this disgusting display" "YES SIR" and when they tied quasimodo down to throw shit at him
the crypt scene(so, so many skulls)
the entirety of the hellfire song(shut up you horny asshole)
racism
burning at the stake
molten gold poured straight onto frollo (he deserved it)
at least one catholic woman is gonna flip her lid (itd be kinda funny tho)
eyes(or bells) of notre dame scene right at the beginning where frollo almost drowns a baby in a well
gallows, several times
almost burned an entire family including a baby alive
did i mention deep deep rooted racism?
the only good thing i can think of coming out of this movie is another 'look past appearances' thing and its overused as hell
