Batman has put on a bit of quarantine weight (he could lose it but he's like fuck it I'm cool with having a muffin top) and his villains take notice how would they all react to slightly softer looking batman bonus if one of villains is like supportive like you look adorable all chubby bats..like a cuddly bat plush.

Penguin 

well he’s a lil chubby himself so i doubt he’s going to be in a position to throw any stones in this particular glass house. You could argue that batman looks the same since some men look really fat when its actually muscle. think rugby players, professional weight lifters (not body builders thats all for show) and maybe professional boxers? look at albert king in arkham knight. he’s chubby but he’s a brick wall! either way i dont think penguin will be treating him any different. batman can still punch his lights out and now with a bit of extra weight? he’s going to hit like a runaway train. 

TwoFace

Again, he doesnt spend much time looking at batmans ass while he’s running away from him. he might make some jokes about how batman weights if he landed on him for a take down, maybe joke like catwoman about needing a few more notches in his utility belt. To be honest, this whole quarantine isolation thing has him a bit down in the dumps. he’s probably just happy to see another human being, even if it is batman.  

Ivy

Shes teasing but not mean, like selina. shes loving quarantine life. nobody bothers her and she’s free to be with her plants all day long. she’s basically just chilling in the botanic gardens, since its closed due to not being an essential service. when batman shows up to check on her, she notices something is different but doesnt pin point it right away. but when he jumps down from the rafters and makes her glass herb gardens rattle she burst out laughing. again, shes not being mean, she just genuinely finds this hilarious that even the great batman has put on a few pounds in lock down. yes, she is loving the new look, softer around the edges and better for sitting on if he was under mind control

Scarecrow

i mean this in the nicest way possible but scarecrow literally does not give one tiny fuck. he’s gotten so much work done in lockdown without people bothering him, he’s soo deep in his research that he doesn't even notice batman approach. he does freak the fuck out , flinging vials of his new toxin 10 feet in the air in fright when he turns around and batman is standing there. the vials land far enough away that they aren't in any danger. still Stawman is pissed that batman just had to show up right then and scare the piss out of him. but he hasn't seen another human in like 3 months and since his research is ruined, he asks batman to stay for a few minutes. there's nothing technically illegal afoot in his lab right now, so why not see how crane is holding up? he sits in one of scarecrow old chairs that groans like a dying animal under his weight. scarecrow might raise an eyebrow but he’s not going to stay anything, not right now anyway. 

Riddler

oh thank GOD ! another human being! riddler is glad, actually fuckin glad to see batman. he’s been so BORED since lockdown started he actually contemplated kidnapping some people just so he’d have company. i made a joke once that you cant gag any riddler because they’ll just store it up and ramble more later. this is exactly what happens with batman when riddler spots him , he’s speaking so fast the flash would have trouble understanding him “Come in batman, sit down make yourself comfortable, not in that chair that’s a deathtrap ive been working on. have you put on a little weight? nevermind im sure you can work it off in my newest puzzle its very- wait where are you going?!” speaking of bat plushies , riddler absolutely has a batman plush on his desk that he likes to ramble at. when the real bats leaves he makes a mental note to put some more stuffing into plushie batman.

Harley

Harley hugs batman. i guess its ok, she might as well be part of his bubble for all the time they spend together. she notices right away hes put on a few but shes not one  to complain. makes him soft, its a nice change from jokers bones and refusal to give her even a head pat. Batman is a softie at heart, he cant bring himself to push her away. she’s mostly compliments about him looking soft and chubby and invites to stay with her or wont he please please please take her to the batcave shes so bored and she misses the robins, god help her she even misses the other rogues. she also misses going outside but technically a cave isnt outside so shes not breaking any rules and surely there must be enough room to be socially distant in a place that size.  batman disappears for a few hours, seemingly ignoring her request . he returns with plushies of all the rogues and batfam, and a special bat patterned facemask just for her. this earns him another not so socially distant hug with harley possibly not quite copping a feel of his new love handles and plump butt. 

this was very silly but an enjoyable write, thank you for the prompt nonnie! i must admit, im more like scarecrow than harley. i like being inside, but i worry im getting to use to it and if things return to normal (relatively speaking) i wont want to go back out again. 

i suppose that's a problem for future shep right?

(Part One, Mondstadt Edition)

- okay. okay. so like. lets say that our KJ gang (Joker, Hachi, Queen, Roko, Spade, Ai, Shadow, Rose, Akai, Hosshi) were like. trying to steal a treasure. same shit as always. except something goes wrong and then snap! they’re in Windrise.

- because i think it makes it more fun, everyone gets a Vision.

Joker - Anemo

Hachi - Dendro

Queen - Geo

Roko - Anemo

Spade - Cyro

Ai - Hydro

Shadow - Electro (i know the electro god stopped handing out visions like a year ago in canon but this is a crossover let me have this)

Rose - Pyro

Akai - Hydro (because its funny)

Hosshi doesnt get one because Hosshi is a cat. i know by this logic that Roko shouldn’t have one either but Roko can speak so. wind dog.

- they send Akai out to look around and get a general idea of the area because hes the only one that can fly. when he gets back he tells them about what he saw in the city of Mondstadt.

- KJ cast has the realization that um. some of them should probably change their outfits. Hachi, Rose, Queen, and Ai’s outfits are probably passable as normal in Teyvat, but I doubt that Joker, Shadow, Spade, and Akai’s would be, so they get new outfits. you may be wondering how they get new outfits and personally. i think Joker just carries a sewing kit with him so he just remodels his, Spade, and Shadow’s outfits. Akai changes his with magic.

- its like shortly after they get their outfits situated that Venti and the Traveler show up. Venti sensed their arrival as soon as it happened but he was in the middle of a performance and couldn’t just leave. The Traveler also sensed that something was up because like. they’re a dimensional traveler. I think they’ve learned to sense this kind of thing.

- at least one joke about Venti and Joker sounding similar happens.

- Akai and Venti take one look at each other and just both go “what the heck is that” because they can both sense that there’s something....off about each other

- same thing happens when they meet Zhongli later on except by that point Akai has learned that the general “weird” sense probably means they’re a god so.

- does Akai tell the others these facts?? absolutely not. they get to figure it out on their own.

- only the knights of favonius (+ Diluc, Venti, and Barbara) (you’ll see why Barbara knows later) end up knowing about the KJ gang being from another world. (....at the start at least)

- each member of the KJ gang gets someone to help them learn how to control their vision.

- Venti is training Joker (which is hysterical, considering.). this is mostly fine except Venti keeps sending Joker up in the air without warning. also Joker is like 3 inches shorter than Venti and Venti is definitely not going to let that go. Roko is there too, but Venti is significantly nicer to the dog.

- (the one thing Joker and Venti bond over is not wanting to be anywhere near cats. they have different reasons for it but this is one thing they can agree on)

- there... isnt really another dendro character to help teach Hachi yet so he’s mostly just tagging along with Joker’s training and Venti helps where he can

- Queen is being taught by Noelle. the two of them get along together surprisingly well.

- Spade is being taught by Kaeya. they..... well i wouldnt say they “get along” but they’re civil at least.

- Shadow is being taught by Lisa. im pretty sure we all know how thats going. (Razor shows up to one of the practices and he and Shadow almost get into a fight because of just general misunderstandings)

- Rose is being taught by Amber. .....They keep taking breaks to go and eat.

- Ai and Akai are being taught by Barbara. Ai and Barbara get along perfectly fine. Meanwhile Akai is terrified, why on Earth would the archons give someone who dissolves in water a hydro vision. his flailing and panicking eventually gives him away as having abilities he Should Not Have, which is how Barbara finds out about them being from another dimension.

- due to being more active at night in general the KJ crew tends to stay up late and this is how they accidentally find out about the Darknight Hero. Diluc has to bribe them not to tell. (well. Joker at least has to be bribed.)

- personally i think it’d be fun if, due to some circumstance, Akai had to cover for Diluc as the Darknight Hero. he has the right abilities for it so it wouldn’t be that hard.

- somehow??? they end up getting hired by the adventurers guild???? and everyone is running around doing random tasks for everyone. (or at least trying to)

- Hachi gets a part time job has a chef at Good Hunter.

- KJ gang finds out rather quickly about Venti being Barbatos. they aren’t really all that surprised by it tbh, anything can happen at this point. at least one of them says something like “the twink is a god??” though

- the KJ gang was doing a surprisingly good job at keeping the fact that they were Phantom Thieves on the downlow, right up until Joker hears about some random treasure or something being temporairly held in the Knights of Favonius headquarters and just immediately sends a heist notice without thinking things through.

- Jean: .....we should arrest him

  Kaeya: no no no, i want to see where he goes with this

- Joker does end up getting caught (while the others shake their heads in “i should’ve expected this but im still disappointed). they let him go under the promise that he won’t try to steal within the city again.

- they really should’ve thought that through better.

- key words: within the city.

- Joker hears about Liyue and just goes “loophole!” and that is really the only reason they go to Liyue to be honest. they wanna do some phantom thievery again.

- or well. they’ll try to do some phantom thievery again at least.

(Part 2, Liyue addition, probably coming within like. either the next two hours or the next day idk depends on how long this creativity burst lasts)

Winchesters meet the Phantoms Ch. 24

Danny hissed, pressing his back against the seemingly warm concrete warehouse wall. Straining his hearing, his ears picked up the soft stumble of steps, and hushed whispers. At this moment Danny would rather be babysitting Satan's kid right now.

"Did you see where the freak is?" All he wanted was a bathroom break, how was he supposed to know he was landing near hunters? Another wise left him as his eyes fell to the blood clinging onto blue jeans. Yea he should have just gone straight to the Winchesters, things rarely go well for him. A ring, and bang followed a few feet away from him causing him to jump.

They were going to find him soon, he had to move, but the good question is what the hell it was they shot him with cause it burns like hell.

"Fuck" Danny whispered, wrangling his phone out of his pocket and hitting mute... The damage was done.

"He's over here!" Danny growled, taking a dash towards the exit, hearing gun fire ring behind him. He can do this, he can. First, can't let Sam ring through can he.

"Hey Sam, now's not a good time." Danny rushed, falling through the floor fast, barely missing another bullet. A string of curses followed his disappearance, and he settled a few floors below.

"Were those gunshots? Danny, what the hell?" Sam's worried voice filtered through as Danny picked up hurried footsteps running down the stairs. A sigh of relief left the teen when his eyes landed on the much healed, and less painful leg. "Are you okay? Do you need help? where are you?"

"Sorry, I got spotted by some hunters but I'll handle it." Danny responded, hearing footsteps get closer. "I'll just be a little late, okay?"

"If anything, call us. Okay?' Sam's voice held no room for argument, not that Danny would have argued with him.

'Yea, I'll see you." Danny sighed, and slide his phone away. The Footsteps grew louder, as Danny sided. Quickly he lined up the boxes littered around the floor against the door, mostly for telekinetic practice but also to keep them busy for as long as possible. Releasing a breath, he turned invisible and stepped through the wall. Picking up and flying towards the store he saw. He doesn't care what happened, he needs a bathroom and a snack.

"We'll be back soon." Sam spoke, an apology clear as day on his face with Dean already out at the car. Danny decided to be nice to Dean's moodiness all things considered. He appreciated Sam holding back a minute to check in and make sure Danny would be alright.

"It's fine, you guys go. I'll keep the baby but actually basically an adult, busy." Danny waved off with a small laugh. "I've got this, and if he suddenly starts crawling on the ceiling I'll call you and higher a priest." Danny joked, earning a laugh of Sam.

"Thanks, we owe you." Sam smiled, giving his byes to Danny and then Jack before leaving with a sparing glance backwards.

Danny smiled awkwardly at the kid before him. The kid just sat on the couch, looking just as out of placed as Danny felt. Of course Danny did not like the fact that someone who was basically just born yesterday was taller than him, and already looked his age. It wasn't fair, not like things often are at his height, but it's still saddening.

"So, what'd you like to do?" Danny asked, watching the kid's face contort in confusion. "Like watch TV, or a place to go out an eat, or games?" Danny continued, only watching the confusion grow.

"I like nougat..." He spoke, taking a pause before adding on. "and burgers."

"Okay, what about TV?" Danny questioned, motioning towards the TV settled in the den. He was only met with another confused stare which caused Danny to sigh. For the son of the literal devil this kid was extremely clueless. That's fine though, experience with new ghosts has trained Danny for this. Regardless of how much Danny would much rather be back at school, with Theo. "Cartoons it is." Danny flicked the screen on, watching it steal all of the kid's attention.

The older of the two held back a laugh, maybe it wont be all that bad if all he really has to do is sit here with the kid. Not that it's much fun, if Jack has enough sense, Danny might be able to take him out for ice cream or to an arcade. There's nothing worse than boring babysitters. The Winchesters didn't give him much to go on besides keeping the nephilim alive and out of trouble.

Which really means they shouldn't have chosen Danny because trouble always follows the young college student everywhere. Nonetheless, everyone seems to think he's the best choice for very important jobs. You would assume people would realize that's not the best idea.

"Can people do that?" Jack's voice broke through Danny's thoughts. He turned his attention to the television which happened to have Scooby Doo on. Shaggy had done the cliche Scooby run, stuck in place for a second while in the air. Danny chuckled for a second, regardless of how the kid looked or what powers he has, he really is just a kid.

"Nope, its just cartoon logic. It stuff that only works in shows like this." Danny waved towards the screen for emphasis. "After this episode, I'll show you the Looney Tunes. Now that's a melting pot of Cartoon logic." Danny laughed, turning to the show.

"So, what are we feeling for lunch?" Danny asked, opting to sit on the counter rather than a chair. The kid was seated at one of the counter seats, watching Danny with a confused and intrigued stare. Danny sighed, shaking his head. Sometimes he forgets this kid didn't experience a lot of things. He can't be surprised that the Winchesters didn't bother to try and have the kid experience the world a little. But, hey if he was gonna babysit, it was going to be a good time for the both of them. "Okay, what do you like? Nougat, right?" Danny continued.

"Yea... and burgers." Jack answered, Danny really should just get used to the kid's constant state of confusion. Danny paused, thinking through what they could have for lunch.

"Okay, I've got an idea." Danny declared, grabbing a set of keys of the wall. He started for the door, before looking back and seeing Jack still seated. "You coming?" The college student ask motioning towards the door. Danny raised an eyebrow at the look of surprise the kid gave him.

"I can come?" Jack asked, standing up. "I can't really... go places." He added, looking confused and surprised. Danny inwardly sighed, he gets it he does. Jack was powerful, he had people after him, but Jack was also just a kid. Regardless of age. As much as he trusts the Winchesters' judgement, this was one thing that he can't get behind.

God, Danny sounds older as the day passes.

"Well, I'm not them." Danny shrugged with a grin. "So, you're invited." The grin dropped to a pleased smile and the look of excitement that took on the kid's features.

"Okay, so let me get this straight." Danny all but growled, watching the sad kid. "Dean wants to kill you just because your dad is Lucifer?" Danny can't really say he's surprised, he just figured Dean had grown more as a person than that. Parents' don't dictate who you are or who you will be.

"He doesn't like me." Jack answered, looking down. Danny sighed, taking a seat next to the young nephilim. Before he could speak up, Jack continued. "What if I am evil like he says? I've hurt people." Jack looked up, tears lining his eyes and regret clear as day. Danny swallowed, he's had these conversations with himself one too many times.

"You're not." Danny shook his head, placing a comforting hand on the kid's shoulder."Trust me, I know. Who your parents are, what abilities you have, what prophecies say, or hell what even God says. It doesn't define who you are."

Danny watch the sadness and doubt still swirl in those blues, okay Danny really needed to work on his speeches. It's not like he's been giving them as often as he used too... That was now technically Theo's job.

"Look, I was supposed to be evil. Worse than Satan himself." Danny spoke, watching the interest and surprise weigh into the kid's eyes. Danny nodded at the look of slight disbelief. "I know right? But I was, but I didn't. Which means you don't have to be."

"Sam says that." Jack spoke, looking down.

"But you look up to Dean." Danny concluded, watching Jack nod. "Dean's a little rough around the edges, but trust me. He'll come around."

"I hope he does." Jack responded, he didn't look as lifted as Danny would have liked, but it was better than he looked a few minutes ago.

"How about this, tell me what you can do." Danny asked, trying to less the tension. Jack's confused look made Danny sigh. "You know, like Angels fly, I can turn invisible, and like a ton of other things but thats besides the point." Danny shrugged, he'd rather not go into all the details.

"Like... Cas flies?" Jack asked, Danny smile and nodded. He'll try to help the kid while he's here.

"Hey, are you free?" Theo's voice filtered through the speaker. Danny smiled, glancing over at the half angel sleeping soundly on the couch nearby. Making his way towards the kitchen off to the side, Danny answered.

"Hey babe, yea. Jack just fell asleep." Danny responded, resting back against the kitchen counter. He's mind running through all they've done in a short time.

"How's the kid holding up?" Theo asked, Danny can hear typing in the background. Leave it to Theo to call him while he's busy with schoolwork. Danny couldn't help but smile before answering.

"He's a tough kid, we're getting along pretty well." Danny replied, musing about how well he helped Jack find a few parts of his abilities. He felt a little sad having been reminded of how Jack got into this place. "He's dad's not the greatest and no helping him. His uncles aren't the worse but... The kid deserves better." Danny sighed, running a hand through his hear.

"Hey, at least he has you right now, right?" Theo responded, the typing halting for a moment. "Anyone with you on their side is going to be okay, I would know." Danny smiled, huffing a laugh.

"You're cheesy, you know that right?" Danny asked, smiling at the ground. Sometimes he wished Theo was there, but at least he knew he was safe back on campus.

"But you love meeeee." Theo laughed, typing continuing. Danny barely picked up the sounds of footsteps approaching the entrance of the bunker.

"As much as I love talking to you, looks like I gotta run?" Danny sighed as the steps got closer. He heard Theo shuffle around for a bit before the other student sighed as well.

"I need to see on of my professors, so call me later?" Theo asked, and Danny nodded. "I love you."

"I will." Danny smiled, pushing off the counter to greet who ever was about to come in. "I love you too."

"Dean, I get it." Danny pulled Dean aside after the Winchesters got back. "I get why your worried about Jack being evil-"

"He is!" Dean cut in. "He's done so much da-"

"No, you're going to listen first." Danny cut Dean off, being met with a surprise look. "You can't tell me Jack is evil because his not human, you can't tell me its because of his dad, you can't tell me its because he lost control of his powers and hurt people, and you can not tell me some prophecy bullshit okay?" Danny paused to take a breath, leaving room for Dean to speak up, which he didn't.

"You should know this, considering me. Considering the many friends you've made on the field." Danny sighed. "All I'm saying is, regardless all that, Jack is just a scared kid who looks up to, and just wants to not feel like a monster. Think that over okay, be easier on the kid." Danny finished. He watched Dean inhale before responding.

"I'll try." Dean spoke, glancing over to the room beside them.

"That's all I ask." Danny gave a small smile before shaking his head. "Okay that's over, I'm tired of sounding like Sam."

"Which Sam?" Dean laughed as the two walked back to the others.

"Both."

This is not a story this is my life.

I know this is nothing new to read and everyone is ‘trying’ to spread awareness. I know when I read them I feel like it's still been sugar coated and make it sound like a pity fest, no-one with a mental health illness of any sort want pity, they most likely want to crawl into the dark hole and go back to sleep.

I stuffer from depression and anxiety and I thought I would give you a look into my life of what actually happens in my day to day life and how I feel. I’m not looking for attention or I doubt anyone will even read this (my life is boring) I just want people to know these awareness posts you see on social media and short little twitter ‘awareness’ are mostly been written by people who don’t actually know anything about been depressed or having anxiety its just what they think it is or what everyone says it is. I’m not saying they are wrong but something always feels off to me when I see the posts (this is just my opinion don’t come for me please). I’m not saying they are all bullshit and that they don’t actually know what it feels like living like this the actually might but its just my opinion.

But yeah i’ll just get right to it i guess so most of my days don’t start in the morning most of mine start from 12-3pm. i know this isn’t anything new to anyone who may work nights but i actually should start work at 9am at the latest, luckily i work at home and look after my brother who has autism, i know i should be up and i should be looking after him and most of the time i do make sure i am, as it is my job and i don’t want anything to happen to him but sometimes i just can’t get out of bed and he does know to come and get me if he every needs anything at all or if I’ve over slept he knows to come and was me I’m not all bad at my job i promise i do make sure he is always ok. i mostly sleep in the latest on weekends when my mum is home so i know everything is taken care of. i don’t go to sleep at night, in the night no one i know is ever awake so i know i can’t upset anyone or do anything wrong that’s why i like to try and stay up until 6-7am, at night i feel like i can actually be myself but most of the time i stay awake and worry about things that i might have done that day, that month or something i did 10years ago. i have such a bad memory i mean i forget to eat in the day or even forget what someone has said 2 seconds after its come out of their mouth, I’m an actual mess but you can damn bet that if I'm feeling bit shit i will remember that i pulled a push door back when i was 15 and still think that people remember me doing that and think that I'm basically a twat that can’t read.

i find it easier to be awake at night as the darkness kinda feels more like home than the sun and i know that sounds daft but id prefer if night was classed as the day and we all slept in the day, i think i wouldn’t actually hesitate to go outside as much i think i wouldn’t be so insecure because no-one would see my flaws as much and i think a lot of people would actually feel better… idk just a thought i always have all the time.

so finally when I'm awake at around late dinner time about 2pm maybe 3pm (weekend) i lay in bed and actually think why have i woken up and hope I'm still asleep and dreaming because i can’t think of anything worse than actually been awake in a day i don’t want to be living, i always feel like I'm taking up room in the world and taking air away from someone who needs it more than me and who’ll appreciate it more than i do. 

It's hard because I don’t want to die but living seems more of a death sentence than death itself. I'm not suicidal I'm not a harm to myself but why is death meant to be the worst thing in the world but yet life is more hard and painful than death…

so once I'm actually awake and gone through the whole why am i awake i finally go down stairs to which someone will always say ‘good morning’ i know they say it in a joking away but i can see that they mean it and that i disappoint them and they think I'm just lazy and need to get my sleeping pattern under control which i don’t disagree with i know its fucked but i go to make a hot chocolate like everyday i sit down have a cig and then watch some telly while everyone it walking around me and its like those music videos from early 2000s where everyone is in time-lapse and I'm sat still. i have no feeling or emotion i try and communicate with my family and i know my mum try with me and knows how and what I'm going through but i almost want to seem fine and not put strain on the family she don’t need her time taking up by her depressed daughter who's going through somethings when her son needs the attention and is her shadow she’s got enough going on. after been downstairs maybe forcing a smile and a laugh out for a few hours i go back to bed and go on a game, watch a film or have a nap, i don't go out much as I’ve cut most of my friends out not because i don’t want to be friends with them anymore i really do but i don’t want to be the one they have to watch out for and burden them with problems that 60% of the time are just made up situations in my head. i haven't told them about anything and i know they’ll think I'm the worst person ever and they'll probably think that I’ve replaced them with my boyfriend which i haven’t I’ve been with him just over a year and I’ve only just recently cut people out of my life i just can’t be that friend anymore that they deserve because they are actually amazing and i do love them more than anything and i hope that one day i can be back to the person i once was. i used to be the joker of the group and try and always make them laugh with some joke or one liner or a dirty joke and it’d make me feel like i had a place in the group but even then i was struggling with depression and i just can’t make a joke any more or have a smile on my face or laugh, i want and i will get back to laughing and joking around with them but right now while i write this i can’t bring myself to doing that and i feel its best for them to live and laugh and go out have fun with each other.

the thing thats getting me through every minute of the day is knowing that even during the most aggressive thunder storm after the rain has fallen and the sun starts to appear a rainbow shines out and something beautiful comes from it and i know depression isn’t anything like a rain storm but it helps me with the thought that one day i will see that rainbow again and the sun will come out and i won’t be scared to stay inside in the dark i will walk out the door and look up and see that sun and rainbow shining down on me. what is happening now and how i feel right now won’t last for ever just like the rain it will pass and i will become the person i want to be again. 

Non of this will probably make any sense. I'm not the best at putting my thoughts down into writing but this has helped me and i hope it will help someone else who may feel like this as well everything will get better might not be today might not be tomorrow but one day you will be the person you want to be and when that day comes you will be stronger and you will b able to look up and see like its the first time and not look down at the floor.

Kara and Lena dealing with any of the kids being bullied?

HOO BOY 

well kara “fight me” danvers and lena “come at me bro” luthor dont take kindly to anything or anyone threatening their kiddos, let’s just put that out there now like........they are such mama bears, it is ridiculous.  their kiddos are sometimes a lil embarrassed like god moms we have it under control but also they three hundred percent appreciate it, appreciate the security that comes in knowing their moms are always in their corner

SO finn and maia dont rlly get bullied??  finn does once (literally just once) but he handles it himself, is so disarmingly kind and literally befriends his bully.  to be fair, they’re like seven but still.  and maia??  is literally kind of terrifying like no one’s going to fucking mess with her

what im saying is that its stella that gets bullied and she gets bullied kind of a lot??  its through her entire life tbh, or at least her entire time in school and she hides a lot of it tbh??  like there’s stuff that her moms dont find out abt until later, until its too late for them to do anything abt it bc stella has this habit of just internalizing everything and repressing the shit out of it.  but they do know abt most of it and like..........u know that gif of kara throwing down her purse when lena’s getting arrested?  pls picture that when i tell u what happens bc that’s.......that’s what’s happening

but yeah, she’s small and soft and cries easily, is a little weird and v intense and like??  she doesnt benefit from the innate magnetism her siblings have a la kara.  like she’s v sweet and endearing in her own right, but stella is very much not of this world in a way thats entirely different from her siblings.  where maia and finn grow into gods, essentially, the best analogy for stella would probably be like a fae or smth??  smth obviously not of this world, enough so that it makes some ppl uncomfortable

but its elementary school and kids are kids and they dont have the words to explain why they dont like the littlest danvers, so they do the basic kid bullying like excluding stella from stuff and calling her names and at some point it escalates and she starts coming home with the knees or seat of her pants covered in dirt, ripped up palms from getting shoved or tripped and she has friends, she does, but they’re the kids that are also getting bullied so its not as if any of them are going to stick up for each other, they’re all just trying to get by

when kara and lena find out about it 

which they only do bc kara happens to be at the school to drop off maia’s book report that she left on the kitchen counter and decides to swing by the other kiddos to say hi for a minute and she happens to show up during stella’s recess, when the teachers are mediating an incident between stella and this girl and stella’s full sobbing, can hardly catch her breath and kara’s incredibly angry in that moment, like who did this, whose mom does she need to call

and the teachers spot her and one comes over and explains the situation, and like, to be clear, the teachers are kind of just learning abt this too???  like i got picked on a bit when i was little and those kids were always so good at figuring out the best moment to do whatever it was they wanted to do, always the second the teacher looked away, so theyre doing their best, only found out bc one of the teachers had a sobbing stella ask if she could go back to the classroom for the rest of recess

but basically this girl called stella a weirdo, said some shitty stuff abt stella being adopted, was basically the meanest you can be as a kid without like physically hurting stella, and they’re handling it and like kara kind of gets it, she does, they have protocol, but thats her kiddo crying and she’s like what exactly are you doing to handle it

and the teacher’s like well we’ll have a mediation with the school counselor and they’ll sign a contract but like.....and kara’s v rarely like this, she rlly is, she’s usually v understanding and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, but she’s remembering all the times stella’s seemed like she didnt want to go to school, remembering all the times she’s come home covered in dirt, the way she’s been extra clingy recently and she’s like why does stella have to sign a contract and the teachers sort of......like well its to make sure that everyone behaves nicely towards one another and kara’s tempted to argue this point, but stella’s still sobbing and has just caught sight of her, is already running towards her, so instead she just asks politely that she and lena be included in the mediation and informs the teacher that she’ll be taking stella home early today

stella kind of falls asleep in the car, so kara takes the opportunity to call lena and lena’s like Ready 2 Fight tbh, she’s like okay so when are we meeting this kid’s mother to duel (this is paraphrased ofc) and kara’s like i dunno but do you have a meeting this afternoon?  stella’s really upset

technically lena has several meetings this afternoon, but she’s already cancelled abt half of them by this point in the conversation and she’s sure jess is well on her way to cancelling the rest for her, so she packs up and meets kara at home and stella wakes up on the couch, crawls out from her blanket burrito and sprawls across her moms laps and they let her pick the movie so they end up watching princess and the frog and moana and the aristocats while stella dozes, still redfaced from crying

later, lena and kara press her gently for details bc like they’ll fight anyone for her with zero info but information would probably make it a lil easier, so they get names and dates (as accurate as a seven year old can give) and they spend a lot of that afternoon just cuddling stella, asking v gently that she tell them when things like this happen bc they can’t make things better if they dont know whats happening, reminding her that they love her a whole lot, that everything that other girl said is just what a very small, very mean person says when they’re angry that you wont behave like them

so then theres the mediation and its turned more into a mediation between the parents bc this girl went home and told her parents that stella danvers lied, that she was just joking abt what she said but lena sees the immediate flash of disdain in the woman’s eyes when she walks in, kara sees the barely concealed sneer on the dad’s face and wow, yeah, okay, she sees where their daughter gets it

it boils down to this: stella is v much the victim and everyone knows it, so kara and lena throw their collective weight around a little (and they rarely do this, truly, they want their kiddos to learn to handle their own problems without relying on reputation or money or whatever) and get this girl switched into a different class and may or may not start a blood feud between their families

but just a small one 

as stella gets older, it’s different??  like she doesnt want her moms getting involved when she gets picked on (and lbr, its the same girl bullying her, just with different lackeys and lena grumbles under her breath abt a mini veronica sinclair every time stella comes home bearing a different story) but she does as they asked when she was little, she tells them about most of the stuff, usually keeps the really bad stuff quiet tho.  they do end up finding out abt most stuff, no small thanks to maia hearing abt a lot of shit (tbh she’s like.......the final stop in the rumor mill??  she hears it all and shuts that shit down) and reporting it right back to their moms

though sometimes she........handles it before it gets back to them

like this one time there were these boys that were harassing tiny freshmen stella (she went on a date with one of them and told him to fuck off when he tried to feel her up, so he spreads it around school that stella’s several words that make maia’s hands shake with anger), and like??  its not something to involve their moms in, considering they thought stella was at ari’s house when she went on the date and she’d get in some trouble for lying, so maia just quietly ruins their lives.  she punches one of them once, and they’re huge babies who talk a lot of shit and never expect to get called on it so she tells them with no uncertainty that they’ll be apologizing publicly and that if she catches them within ten yards of stella, she’ll make them wish they were never born

but mostly maia tells their moms bc she may not have ever gone through this shit, but she knows that just beating ppl up isnt the answer???  wont actually change anything.  so kara and lena hear abt most of what stella goes through and they keep up their steady reassurances, that stella’s beautiful, smart, different in the best way, that she doesnt have to be like anyone else, that they love her just the way she is while they also fight the pta president, this girl’s mom, three teachers that think stella just needs to toughen up (they actually get one of them........not fired, per se, but she doesnt return the next year), an unsympathetic counselor and just abt anyone else that looks at stella the wrong way

like u know how the kids rally around lena and sort of......diffuse the impact of whatever shit the public’s pulling???  the family does the same for stella

eventually it gets bad enough that kara and lena sit down with stella and ask if its even worth it for her, if she even wants to stay at the school or if she’d rather switch to a smaller school that’s a bit more......understanding??  and stella thinks abt it for a long time, and she appreciates the offer???  she rlly does, but she’s never seen her moms run from a fight and she’s not abt to run from this one

In Hot Water

So Jack is BARELY past his eighties when he starts his heat, and he's been through five of them, and no one goes through heat until their first century, when they are technically "legal". He's also one of very few Winter Spirits capable of going into estrus, like Boreas and Pamola. But both of those gods are long faded, so no one knows how to effectively treat a Winter spirit's heat. Spring Spirits have a reputation for being promiscuous mostly because of rumors that they "kidnap" spirits in heat and take them to "secret locations for orgies" when in actuality Spring Spirits are INCREDIBLY protective of spirits with these "fertility complications" and bring them to safe houses away from those who would take advantage of their impairment. To spring spirits mating with someone in their heat without prior magical contract consent is major taboo, these spirits are considered under the influence of their estrus and incapable of consent. Though prior consent can be withdrawn at any time. They even have "physical therapists" spirits who you can contract to help you through your heat prior to starting it. The Groundhog is one, and he and Bunny often disagree with each other over this. Aster believes any mating during heat is wrong, due to inability to withdraw consent, prior contract or no. Although Aster is Jack's primary care provider, being the oldest and most capable healer who can figure out how to treat a Winter Spirit, the Groundhog is Jack's nurse/therapist because he can shapeshift into a tiny groundhog and Jack is at first uncomfortable around large spirits that could overpower him. Aster is worried Jack will contract Groundhog when he reaches age of consent, being a guardian of childhood he considers Jack MAJOR jailbait and is extra protective of a CHILD in premature estrus. But Jack and Groundhog (tempting to call him Pete ) are more brotherly. Aster even asks Tooth to look through her old tooth boxes to see if Jack was once human, since Jack has gone into heat almost twenty years too early. Jack admits he doesn't remember anything before waking up at the lake, so either he is older than he remembers and lost the first years, or he really is premature. Possibly a Winter thing? There are no records of the other two winter spirits, Boreas had some but they were kept with the Library of Alexandria (which had a section just for gods) Jack refuses contract consent every year for the next 200 years, Groundhog knows, being his counselor, that it's because Jack has fallen in love with Bunny, who still thinks of Jack as a child. It's also extra weird because Bunny is Jack's doctor, something Aster and Groundhog both bring up. It's not a hard taboo, but it is considered unethical for a healer or counselor who works closely with a patient to be that patient's contract. Because they can influence the patient's decision outside of heat. Bunny talks about it when warning Jack against contracting Pete, which grosses Jack out, and Pete warns Jack when he figures out Jacks feelings. But until Bunny knows how to help Jack he can't request a different healer. So 200 years of Jack deleriously confessing to Bunny in his heat and Bunny going "yes yes, here, have a tranquilizer" because you don't have sex with a drunk person, even drunk off phermones and hormones. Bunny is 100% against this. Well 90% He may have had… some..dreamms… And a *ahem* guilty hand in the shower. And other places But he is a solid high 70% against sleeping with Jack He eventually finds a recipe for a heat suppressent, its basically birth control. It pumps Jack with hormones that makes his body think he's pregnant. Which is fantastic for Jack because Bunny makes it into this really awesome chocolate. Basically Jack takes them when he begins Estrus, and it halts the estrus. So Jack doesn't have to go to the clinic anymore except to get refills. He and Bunny don't see eachother again for 40 years, and when they do its because of Pitch A hell of a reunion Aster stil has no Idea Jack is in love with him, and is very tense about still being VERY attracted to him. And Jack's entire thought process is : I will use this opportunity to seduce you Step one: help the guardians fight Pitch. (Oops, collecting teeth sidetrack, okay well maybe flirt. Oops accidentally started a contest. Oops forgot the fucking coins! Oops woke the dog. Oh hey, i can show Bunny I'm protective. Oops EVERYONE IS NOW ASLEEP?!) Then Sandy is seriously injured and everything turns serious. Not exactly romantic vibes right now. Then the Warren Oh My God Bunny you have the best house ever marry me. Wow eggs, look at your millions of tiny babies. And Sophie, wow Jack gets a glimpse of Paternal Bunny. He's gone. Head over heels. Jack is going to climb this idiot like a tree. No going back, Jack must have this bun for his own. Aster has no idea what's coming. And Aster is trying not to notice how wonderful Jack is with herding eggs or how he studies their paint and talks to them like they're kittens Then he and Bunny take Sophie home together and they stick all these cute eggs around her room And then Jack hears a voice and they follow it, so Bunny is there with him when they confront Pitch and yadda yadda Pitch taunts them with Jack's teeth which would answer ALL their questions but also Pitch now has magical ingredients to control Jack and Bunny is NOT LETTING HIM KEEP THOSE so they chase Pitch through the lair but they get separated and Bunny is back in his Warren without Jack. And he races to the warren to find the others but Easter is ruined and now there's no way to save Jack Except the eggs they left in Sophies room. They rush to protect Sophie, but find Jamie barely clinging to belief. They gather the two up to take to the pole when Pitch attacks. Bunny demands to know where Jack is, and Pitch laughs and say's he's a little broken at the moment. Pitch taunts Bunny that Jack is trapped in a nightmare living his with worst and oldest fear, and guess whose got the starring role! If you were HOPING to have any sort of RELATIONSHIP with the boy, I'm afraid it's fairly well CRUSHED. But Jack knows its a nightmare, because he knows Bunny, and Bunny would never hurt him. So he fights back, reaching for his magic, even though his staff is gone even though the nightmare is so very real and Bunny's spring powers are melting his ice and Bunny is so much STRONGER than him and it hurtshurtshurts its hard to concentrate but he does and he pelts nightmareBunny with a snowball and Bunny looks so dumbfounded that Jack laughs and Bunny is angry and chasing him but now its just like all the times before, now its a GAME and suddenly the nightmare Bunny looks more like the real Bunny and this time when he is caught its because Jack allows it and they tumble down a snowhill. And when they land Bunny is on top but its different, its okay, and Jack smiles and says he's not giving up, he's going to confess and tell him how he really feels. And dream Bunny asks how he really feels and Jack kisses him on the nose and says "thats for the real Bunny to know." Then he wakes up, and the nightmare sand that was smothering him in that terrible dream is gold and the cage is coated in ice. The poor fairies in the cages next to him are shivering but he smiles at them and tells them he'll get them out. He breaks out of his cage and using his new golden nightmare horses flies over to the other cages, unlocking them and helping the fairies down. They all rush to the tooth boxes, desperate to renew memories of the guardians. Jack tells the dreamsand to go to the kids, save as many from Pitch as they can, and it does, bringing dreams to as many children as it can. Soon the streets of Burgess are lined with children, woken from their nightmares by thoughts of the guardians. They see the fight from their windows, from their yards and rooftops. They rush to the city park to help. Jamie's friends rush to save him and his sister from the nightmares, and as they reach him, covering him and Sophie, as soon as the horses hooves touch them they burst into gold. North, feeling renewed tosses his snowglobes and with the yeti and elves streaming out comes Sandy! They fight and they win, the kids, delirious on their victory, start a snowball fight which reminds Aster that Jack is still missing. They chase Pitch into the forest, who runs into Jack at the lake, taking him hostage. Pitch reminds them that there will always be fear, that fear is what keeps niave, trusting, STUPID boys like Jack safe from monsters. Tell me Jack, when you see your once precious Easter Bunny do you feel safe? And Jack backward headbutts him in the face and says "absolutely" And Pitch is furious, he thought for sure the boy would be broken. His nose and mouth are streaming blood, and he crabwalks backwards He sees movement in the shadows and smiles. He can't reach Jack but he can sow doubt in the rabbit. Tell me Jack, if you don't fear him, what are THEY doing here? And the guardians turn to the horses in the shadows. They step forward into the Moon light, and Pitch is agast to see his glorious nightmares are now blue eyed dreamsand unicorns. They rear up and charge after the fleeing Pitch. Jack jokes that they'll "have to deal with THAT eventually." Sandy floats up to him with a squinty eye, then smirks and shakes his head like "what am I going to do with you" Then Bunny is jumphugging Jack, excited and worried and so very happy. He then shoves Jack at arms length and gives him a lookover, "are you hurt? Tell me where you're hurt" And Jack laughs, his heart is so full its acheing and he feels like crying because theyre all safe and says he's not hurt, he's fine, are any of you hurt? North laughs, saying THEY ARE GUARDIANS, this was childsplay. There was not even any real bloodshed. Which Tooth informs is because she forgot her swords at home Now Bunny suddenly gets super awkwards, keeping Jack at a personal bubble distance, which is fine, Jack can wait for the before credits kiss. Bunny suggests they get the anklebiters home before they pass out and noone can find where they live. Jack is wowed, half the town of kids is there. A few are waving from windows and rooftops. After they tuck everyone in, with Bunny and Jack meeting up back in Sophies room Jack finds the last googie neither sibling noticed on Jamies desk next to his drawings of the sleding incident. On it is painted a winter scene with Jamie on his sled, only Jack is flying beside him. Bunny rubs his kneck and admits that he felt that since Jack helped Bunny with Sophie he'd help Jack. It wasn't right, Jack not having believers. Jack starts crying, and Aster is freaking out SHITSHITSHITIFUCKEDUP Then Jack sets the googie back down and grabs Bunny to kiss him HARD And thats how Bunny helped Jamie believe in Jack Frost (Because lowkey roleswitch au If you didn't notice) And North BuRSTS into the room just like he did during the toothhunt, and Abby wakes up AGAIN and comes bolting up the stairs and Bunny taps open a hole Grabs jack and nopes the fuck out of there Bye mate! Jack howls with laughter. North is left with a barking dog and panicking yeti. They open a portal but Abby follows them through and now she's at the pole And chasing the elves, who made her a sweater and adore her and refuse to give her back. She has a doggy door portal.Sophie once went through it. Oops. like narnia but with a dogdoor, the elves sneak the kids through without anyone knowing. the kids basically have free run of the workshop. (The yeti see them but adore them and so don't tell the Guardians) Meanwhile, backing up, Jack and Bunny are safely in the warren. Broken eggs everywhere, Jack is shocked, and turns to Bunny says he's so sorry, its all his fault for being lured by Pitch. Bunny reassures him that they BOTH fell for the trap, and its not like they could let Pitch keep his teeth, speaking of which he pulls them out of his bandolier. He tells Jack Tooth can help him get his memories back. Jack says that would be nice, but it can wait, everything he needs is right here, and everything he wants is in the future. Bunny looks at their joined hands and coughs, pulling back. Apologizing. When Jack asks why, he explains that he knows what type of nightmare Pitch gave him, and he understands if Jack needs space. Jack puts his hands on Asters forearms and says "look at me. Do you know how I was able to break free? Because I knew, I KNEW, you would NEVER hurt me. Then he kisses Bunny's nose, just like in the dream, and says "I love you." And Aster clutches Jack to him and cries.

THE ZOO ARC (Steven Universe Review)

Confused about how I’m reviewing an entire arc of episodes that has been promoted to release at the end of this month? Well, Cartoon Network put the episodes on their website without warning last night. And I watched em. 

But you dont care about that. Lets talk about the episodes. I’ll be as spoiler free as I can but its a pretty intense arc. Just watch it and then come back if you still care. 

The first one starts out by breaking the cardinal rule of the show: STEVEN PUTS STUFF TOGETHER AND ASKS QUESTIONS ON HIS OWN.  Except, not really. His questions come up because his dream powers are causing his mind to connect with that of Blue Diamond. Side note: any other time Steven’s dream powers have acted up, its because Steven is thinking about the person as he falls asleep, or otherwise because he lucid dreams his way there intentionally. This time it is COMPLETELY unprompted as far as I know, and its not really said why. But thats okay. 

Anyways, its really Connie that puts together that she’s seen the thing in Steven’s dream before, and thats the only thing she does this whole arc. While we’re on the subject, Lapis and Peridot show up momentarily in the subsequent episode only to also get left out of the entire rest of it. The three are told that if anything happens while the main crew is gone, they must defend Beach City and the earth, which shows how much the Gems trust them, but since, to our knowledge, nothing really happens, it doesnt mean anything really. I really want to see the three of them interact on some kind of mission sometime soon though. That would be really fun and solidify the three of them not only as Crystal Gems, but as a team themselves. I’d really like that. 

Anyways, Greg and Steven go off in search of answers to what really happened to Pink Diamond, and do so by flying to Korea in Andy’s plane. They have a nice touristy montage through Korea, and then end up at the Palanquin. There, they find Blue Diamond, who is mourning Pink. Greg has a nice moment where he connects with her, where he tells her he knows how she feels and what she’s going through. Its a really good scene. The two characters aren’t ones you’d expect to connect. The parallel is nice, not expected, and really clever. Its emotional, and genuine. Its also interesting to see Greg do something like this, as its definitely what Steven would do in the situation. I somehow always thought that side of Steven really was from Rose. After all, we’ve seen that she loved everything on the Earth. But... the more we’ve learned about who Rose was, it does make much more sense that having this kind of response to Homeworld things definitely comes from Greg, not Rose. 

Anyways, Greg is dadnapped by Blue Diamond and put into her Human Zoo a few lightyears across Space. 

Steven and the OG CG crew follow in the Roving Eye they stole from the Rubies. Speaking of whom, we see them briefly, and its mentioned that they’ll clean up THAT mess on the way back. The second episode in the arc seems mostly wasted on in-jokes like this. Steven messes with the ship’s controls, and as they go farther beyond the speed of light, it becomes harder and harder for the Gem’s to maintain their form, which results in some not that funny shape shifting shenanigans at first, and some soul-crushing loneliness later. Steven has a revealing, yet predictable emotional moment while the Gems arent able to take form, confessing he feels this is all his fault for asking questions. But the problem is solved and the Gems comfort him. This is by far my least favorite of the five, in case you can’t tell. Its got its moments, but not enough for me to really like it. 

The third episode brings the quality back up though. They arrive at the zoo, and realize they’re going to have to sneak past the Homeworld Gems stationed there. Garnet unfuzes, and Steven and the four Gems start faking their way through the security so they can get to where Greg and the other humans are held.

Something I really like about this episode, and the last one in particular is that each of the Gems that does come along on the journey has to deal with their own little struggle. They all have moments that are unique to their characters, and they’re all balanced well. Ruby, Sapphire, Amethyst, and Pearl all grow as characters, at least a little bit. Pearl is the most obvious, as she is forced to revert to being subservient to the other Gems. Sapphire and Ruby have to be apart again, and the stakes are much higher than in Hit the Diamond. Also, while that largely seemed to focus on Ruby and her interactions with the other Rubies, this focuses a tad more on Sapphire, having to pretend to be in charge of the other Gems, and having to struggle with the knowledge that they WILL fail. Without Ruby, its hard for her to change the course of time she sees before her, and we really see the effects of that. She gets a lot more screentime than she usually does, and its really nice. 

At the base, we’re introduced to the main villain of the arc, a Holly Blue Agate in charge of the Zoo. Compared to Peridot, Jasper and even Lapis, she’s relatively mediocre, and I kinda doubt she’ll ever become as important as those Homeworld Gems, but she does her job well. She’s super uptight and perfectionist, and while she clearly enjoys her work on the Zoo (expressing delight at both the new human arrivals) 5,000 years of dealing with the squadron of Amethysts and other Earth Gems that crew the station is clearly wearing on her. Any tiny thing that goes wrong, she blames on them, which is really nice for our heroes, but at the same time only allows them to see how ferocious she would be to them if she found them out. Even Steven never really tries to befriend Holly Blue. She manages to be scary while also hardly raising her voice. She expects things to work the proper way, and whoever is making things NOT work properly will suffer, if she has anything to say about it. 

Without spoiling how that episode really goes from there, the fourth episode in the arc focuses on what things have been like for Greg actually in the Zoo. And this episode is probably my favorite of the bunch, though the last one is really good as well. The humans in captivity are all very blissfully unaware of how life is. They all seem to be happy, but their lives lack true meaning or love of any kind. The people there are all really nice, albeit childlike and a bit weird. They’re somewhat entitled, a bit lazy, and all seem to lack any real individuality. But this isn’t a fault of the writers, its just that they’re all just products of the world they live in. Even Greg is starting to just do what he’s told and exist in this blissful utopia. He only really disobeys it when he discovers that romantic relationships in this world are all predetermined by the automated voices. And Greg doesn’t want a new Romantic relationship. Especially not with any of these people that can’t make decisions on their own. I wont spoil how this one ends either so lets move on to the finale. 

btw, I DO spoil the finale. If you havent’ watched it, just know that its very good and you should watch it. 

The final episode begins Greg and Steven being captured by the Amethysts aboard the Zoo. The have our Amethyst as well, who plays like she’s being held captive before revealing she has befriended them all since the last time we saw her. It turns out that all Earth Gems are about as unruly and immature as our Amethyst is. There’s even a Jasper and a Carnelian from the Beta kindergarten mixed in. The whole gang is delightful, and I wish we got to spend more time with them, but we really only get enough time to see how accepted our Amethyst really is among the rest of the misfits and freaks from Earth. From there, the squad helps hide Steven and Greg from Holly Blue long enough to get them to a large room where we see a bunch of bubbled Rose Quartzes. As they make their way across the giant room, a couple suitably giant gems come in. Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond. Blue is still depressed about Pink, and Yellow is attempting to cheer her up, so they can get rid of the Roses and the Earth, and move on. 

She sings a song, accompanied by Blue and Yellow Pearl. I dont like it that much. Yellow Diamond’s singing voice annoys me, and Deedee is definitely better as regular Pearl. But, its still really good for what it is, and it allows us to see into Yellow Diamond’s head a little. The Pearls are really fun as well. I love how Yellow Pearl is so opposite of ours. She glories in her diamond’s arrogant sass, and feels so honored whenever she’s addressed, no matter how demeaning the task she’s commanded to do. 

That aside, Greg and Steven regroup with the rest of the squad, and they all manage to make it past the Diamonds without incident. They make it back to the docking bay, and almost make it into the Roving eye, but are caught by Holly Blue. We get a quick fight scene, but its mostly just the Gems showing off. The Agate is apparently more bark than bite, and her squad of Amethysts don’t do much to help, as they’re rooting for their friends over their hated boss. Pearl gets the last laugh, telling Holly Blue why it’d be a bad idea for her to reveal to the Diamonds what just happened, and they fly off into the sunset.

Its a great arc. Definitely bigger and more intense than almost any arc before it, but at the same time, some of the episodes, the second especially, seem really slow. Theyre all just kind of building, and then the last episode, while really great, just kinda wraps up all that setup. Its really great, and it leaves room for the rest of season 4 to be even bigger and more amazing. 

I really hope we see the humans and the Earth Gems of the Zoo again. I imagine we’ll have to, since all the Rose Quartzes are bubbled there. All three groups are native to Earth, and I’d love to see them all return there sometime. But... we’ll see. 

This was a great arc, and a step in a wonderful new direction for the show. Can’t wait for more.

Given Takehiko’s recent death, do you think he’s gone for good, or do you think he will return in some manner? Are there any other characters that caught your eye and gave you interesting theories?

Was it because of his love and overprotective nature? Does he have unfinished business? Does it have to do with whatever Becky’s grandmother is? Additionally, why do you think Becky’s mom was unable to come back as well? Lastly, do you think Becky’s dad will eventually pass on for real during the course of the comic? If so, how do you think this will affect Becky?

i wish we could see what their math problems are like. like do they do the standard train word problems or do they use more creative things. like ghost trains. and the answer is it doesnt matter what time the trains meet, theyre ghost trains so cant crash into each other.
