RCCC was this last weekend and I had the chance to work with multiple incredible photographers. I wanted to start by sharing some taken by StarsAndSwords.jpg over on Instagram.
I worked on this Hannah Alexander version of Yennefer for about 3 months and am really happy with how it turned out. The sleeves have about 38 yards of pearl trim I hand tacked in addition to some 200 rhinestones I sewed down. More photos to come!
Being a cosplayer means spending three months scouring the internet for screen-accurate fabrics, going through the episode frame by frame to get the best possible references, spending three-ish years (on and off) making the costume and planning a performance, just to go up on stage for two minutes and 24 seconds to perform a silly song from a silly musical.
To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. It seems that with a bit of patience from the photographer, and with said photographer being a good friend, I can actually end up having some decent pictures (and I got all 180 of them to pick the ones I like most). He also trains with sword, so he showed me how to actually wield my sword to look a tiny bit more convincing.
Here's my book Ciri.
And here's the ruins of Bolczów castle in all the autumn colors. It still looks like Witcher 3 location.
