I find that the "fixits" of a fandom can tell you a lot about the canon. The things that fics make and remake in various permutations and combinations, seeking satisfaction.

Sometimes, they're obvious. In Merlin, it was magic reveals. Post OFMD S1 is all about reunions.

In The Witcher, I was fascinated to find that it's apologies. Very specifically, how Geralt apologises to Jaskier for leaving him on the mountain.

I mean, anything has to be better than what actually happened in S2.

Ok so I watched the Witcher: Blood Origin trailer - we all know I only watched it for Jaskier let’s not lie - and like, he’s wearing the same clothes from s2? Only he has a different coat (I think? It looks blue in the trailer and the trim is different (edit, no it IS the same coat)

But! His vest and shirt are definitely the same, albeit very dirty and bloody.

Which means this definitely takes place AFTER Season 2. Unless he got an exact replacement outfit

Either it’s between s2 and 3 (I’m guessing this) or it’s after s3 (unlikely)

Anyway my point being: Jaskier is alone again.

After S2 he’s alone again, he’s not with Geralt or Yen, he’s by himself again and I want to know why. Did he leave Kaer Morhen? Was he taken? So many questions but my main point is, IF he had stayed at the keep, he would’ve got new clothes.

But he doesn’t, he’s wearing EXACTLY what we last saw him in. He hasn’t had chance to a change.

Something happened and I don’t think I can’t wait 20 days to find out. Fully only gonna watch it for Jaskier cause I want to know what happened to my baby.

One Dress a Day Challenge

August: Fantasy & Sci-Fi

The Witcher (s2e5, "Turn Your Back") / Gaia Mondadori as Princess Pavetta

This costume appears briefly in a flashback/dream sequence. I wish we could get a closer look at the embroidered panel on the bodice that seems to have a design of white flowers, possibly water lilies? (See detail below.) We can also see that the skirt is of a slightly deeper color than the bodice, and it looks like velvet.

If they're going to give her such a light wig, I wish they'd lighten up her eyebrows a little. They don't have to be as light as the hair, which would make them disappear, but they're far too dark as it is.
