#the above point the book makes sounds sorta demoralizing but it’s actually helpful and encouraging to me

I’m thinking about trying to adapt a series of children’s book into like, 4 or 5 season long show, just to practice structuring and stuff
And I keep thinking about it, which usually indicates I want to do it??
Cause quaratine, depression and add literally makes it hard for me to tell if I want to do something or not haha
But it’s, idk besides practice and fun there’s no other point to it. Which is a point onto itself, but
At least with drawings you can show friends or post them. But it’s not really the same with writing or outlining?
besides it being a relatively obscure series, I don’t really have anyone who I think would be into talking about this kind of stuff from a writing perspective
But idk, Art & Fear says no one owes you or your work their time and attention.
So, in that sense, you can only make work for yourself- you can’t depend on the attention of others because the time and investment of others in art is not a right, not even a privilege, but something that happens by chance.
The only time and investment anyone owes you is your own
