and so 15 minutes later, there he was on her fire escape, knocking quietly to let her know he was there.

“hi,” he smiled, after she opened the window for him. she took his hand and guided him into her slightly messy room.

“hi,” she smiled back, “i’m sorry my room is a mess”

“no, no, i don’t mind.” he was standing up now, looking around her room, taking it in. he had been here a couple times since they met some months ago, but he still loved looking at all her little details.

“i’m sorry,” she blurted, “you shouldn’t have come. i need to finish my paper and my room’s all messy and my parents are slee-“

“hey, hey, hey,” her hands were over her face so he gently pulled them away and held them at her sides, “i don’t care about the room, really. and i’ll be quiet, i won’t wake your parents up. and i can help you with your paper. please. let me stay.”

she sighed, giving in. she could never say no to him anyway.

“ok, just… thank you.”

he smiled, looking down at her. she was so pretty. “you’re welcome.”

she yawned for the 5th time in the past 3 minutes. peter looked over at the clock and 2:58am flashed back at him.

“y/n,” he whispered, pulling her arm gently. he was met with another yawn.

“uh huh? yeah, what, sorry,” she responded as she blinked the sleep from her eyes.

“you need to sleep.”

she glanced at what page she was on. page 4. “no, i can finish, i only have like 2 pages left,” she yawned.

“y/n…”

“i’m serious, peter. i can finish it.” she returned her gaze back to her computer screen.

he sighed, knowing all too well how stubborn she was, “at least let me get you some coffee.”

she looked back at him, a dreamy smile grazing her features. “ok.”

and so he kissed her forehead and went back out the the fire escape. and 10 minutes later he returned with 2 coffees and a cookie.

her head was slumped to the side, her mouth hanging open with light snores. he chuckled quietly and shook her shoulder, knowing how mad she would if he let her sleep.

“y/n, come on i have coffee.”

her eyes fluttered open, a blush taking over her cheeks as she met his eyes. “hi.”

god he wanted to kiss her.

“hi,” he smiled, “i got you coffee. and a cookie. i didn’t know what you liked so i just guessed.”

she took the cup and the bag from his hands, peering inside and taking a sip. iced vanilla latte and a chocolate chip cookie. her favorite.

god she wanted to kiss him.

but instead, she glanced at the clock and took another sip of her coffee. “thank you.”

she returned to her paper fairly quickly and finished it in another hour. peter was asleep with his head on her shoulder, his coffee abandoned on her nightstand.

she didn’t have the heart to wake him. and so she put her laptop aside, turned off her lamp, pulled to covers over both of them, and fell asleep with her head on his shoulder instead of the other way around.

★︎ ៸៸ he also loves to lie. he loves lying about things and seeing how long it takes fans to be like “hold on 🤔”. he literally convinced fans he was from the united states, this man is kiwi, literally faked his accent for months before he just forgot and slipped out his real accent.

★︎ ៸៸ kisung is kind of like his battery of sorts. he doesn’t necessarily have a lot of energy on his own, but with kisung he like lights up and all of a sudden has a bunch of energy.

Admittedly, most of Eddie's insanity has little to do with Catholicism, he's just a deranged weirdo (affectionate) but he was suicidal once and went to a church to ask forgiveness before killing himself. That's where he met the symbiote and their relationship has parallels to both marriage and religion.

Listen listen he is the epitome of Catholic trauma. He’s got the angst. The repression. The je ne sais quoi. His whole story is basically very dependant on churches if that makes any sense. Like he tried to kill himself in a church and that’s when he bonded with the symbiote. They stopped a symbiote invasion by fu̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ crying out in agony in a church. EDDIE AND VENOM GOT MARRIED IN CANON IN THE CHURCH WHERE THEY MET. He also has so many breakdowns in churches and we love that for him.

He meets Venom in a church and has a lot of religious moments connected to Venom. They also sort of get married in the church they met at? It's gay. Eddie is catholic and in a committed relationship with an alien and it's gay.

(Cw suicide mention) He's canonically Catholic and has such a funky (read: kinda fucked up) relationship with it. When his life fell apart he went to a church to pray for forgiveness for the sin of committing suicide and to ask God to kill spiderman i think but then before he could actually do anything an alien came down and connected with him (in a gay way) and he was like "are you an angel". Also his sense of morality is totally fucked, its like "if you've done something bad once you deserve to die" and I like to think that's related to the specific brand of Catholicism

Assassin's Creed syndicate as a whole honestly. The basic level design is a betrayal of the tight layout that made the slow stealth feel organic. Accommodating this with a steampunk sci fi Spiderman gauntlet just shatters whatever immersion remains.

Plus the quest givers. I find it hilarious that you play as two presumably left leaning protagonists who work for both queen victoria AND karl marx, who both have pretty interchangeable politics in the game. Amazing.
