Jimmy gets kidnapped. This could be a superhero au, a life series "what if", empires canon divergent, whatever your silly heart desires. But Jimmy gets kidnapped. His kidnapper plans to keep him for ransom money or to lure someone else Jimmy knows into an even deadlier trap. And... Jimmy isn't fighting back. He kinda sits in the chair he's tied to and stares at the floor. What gives? He should be screaming for help, struggling against his binds, begging and pleading for his lif-

"No one's going to come for me. Might as well just let me go." Jimmy says. He's... sad. Defeated sounding.

His kidnapper just gets ticked off. "Yeah right. You're staying here until I get what I want."

Jimmy doesn't answer. He keeps staring at the floor.

Hours pass and still, no one. Not even the police. His kidnapper starts to wonder if... maybe Jimmy was right. No one is going to come for him. The kidnapper gives it a few more hours. No one. Not a single soul. Not a phone call or a letter or a text or police or knock on the front door.

His kidnapper brings Jimmy a glass of water and sits next to him, untying his hands but keeping his feet bound. "I'm sorry. You don't deserve this."

Jimmy shrugs. "I kind of expected it. When can I leave?" He asks, taking a sip of his water. At least it's cold.

"...Actually, you can stay. If you wouldn't miss your life out there, of course."

For Damnatio Memoriae I think Gortash should "wake up" from his death with the words "I love you" on his lips, words he never dared say to Durge while alive, only for Durge not to be there with him as they always promised and instead it is Bane.

Who is about to make Gortash's afterlife Hell.

Literally. He's going back to the House of Hope and there will be no one to save him this time because everyone thinks he's in Bane's realm.

Because Bane told Durge he was.

So now he gets to watch watch his failure of a Chosen suffer his worst nightmare and he gets to watch Bhaal's reject kid suffer while watching Bhaal throw tantrums in the background.

just thinkin about haven's reacher verse and how she's super reclusive after the "accident" because of the very visible scarring plus hearing and visual impairment, and she doesn't want to talk to anyone about it bc people inevitably ask how she got them. which means she has to either come up with a lie or divulge the truth of her very short lived military career. and it's such a source of shame for her even though she didn't do anything wrong, she doesn't want anyone thanking her for her "service" bc they assume she got wounded in combat and the reality is just...disappointing.
