The Reason I have to carefully pick and choose the Historical related shows I want to watch, is because I will not hesitate to Rant on Historical, Cultural and Technological inaccuracies.

Like this is why I can't watch Blue Eyed Samurai normally cause the minute I saw Abijah Fowler pull out his guns in the siege at Shogun's Castle and EVERYONE WAS A FUCKING SHARPSHOOTER I STOPPED WATCHING, I TURNED THAT SHIT OFF SO FAST AND WENT INTO MY ROOM AND REEEEEE

First off, The Japanese already had Guns by that time, the Ashigaru exists.

These Foot soldiers served the samurai class and they wielded Tanegashima, a Matchlock-configured Arquebus, alongside regular Archers, using Yumi and Ya.

So Fowler wouldn't be the only ones with Firearms because the Shogun would ALSO HAVE FIREARMS, both Tanegashima and PROBABLY Teppō, a Hand Cannon.

And Secondly, ARGH okay Guns WERE INACCURATE back then, you can't just Fire from a Distance and kill Archers like that, it doesn't matter if it's Matchlock, Wheelock and Flintlock, shooting targets with these guns result in inaccurate shots, this is why no one uses firearms in Hunting during those times right up till the Late 18th Century, shit can't even hit a Deer and the Noise will scare away prey.

Reloading is slow which makes you perfect targets for an Archer to put arrows in you or a Swordsman to cut you down right there.I know this is a Historical Fantasy show but holy shit this is a SPECIFIC PERIOD IN HISTORY AND THEY GOT THIS PART WRONG

#i'm so mad guys I'M SO MAD #BONES WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK HOW COULD YOU CUT THE PANEL OF ANGO AT ODA'S GRAVE???????? #the other two are negligible even though i was dying to see Ango's gentle smile and smol emozai #but i could begrudgingly accept them being gone #but THE GRAVE FLASHBACK??? there's a certain kind of lost-in-translation feel when talking op ships between manga-onlys and anime-onlys that should seriously not be underestimated, I think

#it took me three hundred years to realise ace and sanji actually interact in the anime and that's where the ship comes from #i was so confused !!!!! but now i see #not I see as in I ship it I see as in I see where you're getting it from #it's the same as with nami and vivi and people calling it practically canon I think #they have the same relationship as they have with everyone else in the manga but i think they added to their moments in the anime? #zo. san shippers have more to go off from in the anime as well #no I'm saying this difference shouldn't be underestimated when having a conversation about these things with other fans #you should always check what source material the fan you're talking to is most familiar with before trying to argue #as far as relationships go sometimes it feels like we're following two different stories #isn't that lowkey amazing? i find it amazing #also cause shippers really are gonna need only a single scene to make a whole cult so the animes got an insane power there #this is true for character traits and personalities too now that i think about it! #like how people will say zoro's good with kids but as far as i remember the only kid he interacts with in the manga is tama? #it really IS amazing the gap in the different kinds of understanding is insane
