🪐 Unpublished "Rebel Girl" characters

Jetstream / JJ-505: An Imperial Elite Trooper. Birth name and home world have been long forgotten. Raised an orphan and conscripted as a stormtrooper from a very young age. Partial to using jetpacks and rifle weapons in battle.

Luche Race: An Imperial Special Forces Command Officer. Assigned to Mission Command for the Elite Trooper Program, overseeing the soldier JJ-505. Born and raised on Pantora, suspected to be half-Pantoran/half-human. Personal interests include history and architecture.

Kye "KB" Bodalla: A Rebel leader. Born on a cargo ferry and transient thereafter. Worked as a contractor in a variety of fields until turning a blind eye to the atrocities of the Empire was no longer an option. Now leads a band of Rebel Alliance fighters in the mid and outer rims.

Brotherhood by Mike Chen (but, Lilies, this is about Obi-Wan and Anakin, why would you put it on a JFO list? because there's apparently there's a cameo of Jaro Tapal and Cal Kestis in there that flew over my head when I first read it because I hadn't played JFO yet and I am SO DETERMINED to find it)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to offer an update on my Bad Batch Older Sister fic (link is for all chapters)

Quick summary: Omega finds a Jedi Youngling and CF99 adopt her into the group and Omega gets to be an older sister figure.

After finishing Chapter 6 (which follows the S1 show finale) I wanted to wait and see how S2 would be. We’re 13 eps into S2 as of this post and I have to say, this season frustrates me. I have lots of problems (character design, writing, etc) so I’ve been really conflicted as to how I want to continue this fic.

Honestly I really only liked episodes 3, 7/8, and 11 of S2 (so far—I really hope these last few eps are good). I would’ve put Tribe (e6) and The Outpost (e12) on here as well and I do like those episodes more than most of S2, but they could’ve been better imo.

Because I have problems with the current season, I’ve been toying around with ideas/scenes I liked seeing but adding my own twist/story to it. Honestly this season has been a let down in a few different ways and I definitely expected more. And it’s not like I loved S1 either (I do think it’s superior to S2) so my expectations were pretty low for S2.

What’s frustrating to me is that the premise of Bad Batch isn’t a bad idea. A unique squad of clones on the run from the Empire with an unaltered female Jango clone set just after O66 actually sounds fascinating. It’s the execution. In an ideal world there wouldn’t have been that copyright issue so Dave Felony could’ve used Delta Squad instead of his rip-off CF99. In S1 of Bad Batch it’s clear that CF99 doesn’t really have the same sort of ‘unique personality’ that the other clones have. CF99 are bland stereotypes of their characters (strong silent—Hunter, dumb-brute—Wrecker, social awkward—Tech, forgotten—Echo, grump—Crosshair). I won’t go into all of my problems with Bad Batch (cuz it’d be long af lol) but I’m seriously considering doing a mix of ideas I liked seeing with my own stories.

I guess that’s where I’m at with Older Sister and the more I think on it, the more sure I am of doing my own stories instead of following the episodes like I had been doing.

What else I have planned—these will be multi-chapter fics

I am working on another fic that’s basically my version of Bad Batch. CF99 does not exist in this fic and is replaced with Delta Squad (obviously). This fic is also a reader-insert fic (female child reader) where reader basically takes the place of Omega. Because I have not played Republic Commando, the little knowledge I do know about DS is from google/wiki so I would be doing my own stories as well.

I’m also working on a Jungle book fic that’s basically the jungle book story (human child raised by wolves) but the wolves are Mononoke wolf/direwolf size and there’s skinchanging/warging from Game of Thrones/ASoIaF.

The last big/multi chapter fic I’m working on is an Arcane AU where Reader is the youngest sister to Vi and Powder and grows up as a Firelight w/ Ekko.

*I do have smaller, one-shot stories for clones/set during CW. I also have one-shot ideas I wanna do for PJO and AtLA*

So that’s where I’m at right now writing-wise. I don’t have a particular order or anything I wanna do these in so if anyone wants to see something I’ve listed lemme know.

Also my dad just had shoulder replacement surgery so I’m sorry to those waiting for new content. Thanks for your support🥰

I finished rewatching TCW (for about the 9th time lol) recently and decided I'd try to rank every "storyline" as I went. I mostly did this by arcs, but there were a few arcs that I decided to split up because the episodes either seemed minimally related, or differed vastly in enjoyment level for me. In S1 E6 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, they had that whole back and forth over the tactical droid head... am I the only one that thought of that tactical droid head that led the Ghost Crew to Rex, Gregor, and Wolffe from Star Wars: Rebels? I don't know if it's related, but I thought it was interesting... pity the head got destroyed, but the data's still intact...🤔

Spoilers for Bad Batch S2E6 Tribe!!!!

So I actually liked the latest Bad Batch episode (S2 E6–Tribe) a lot more than I thought I would.

HOWEVER!!!

Something about it was still…lacking…for me at least.

The 3rd ep this season (Solitary Clone) was still the best ep this season for me but I did enjoy Tribe a lot (and is def my 2nd favorite so far).

During the pawadan arc in Clone Wars, I was always the most interested in Gungi out of the group (though I still care about all of them and hope the rest of them are ok). And guys, the fucking music for this episode….it’s so good!!!! Like out of all the problems I have with Bad Batch, I’ve never had a problem with ost/music.

Also the animation is really good too. I almost can’t believe how far the og CW animation has come (especially watching Bad Batch then going to watch S1 of CW, even the youngling arc eps when Gungi is introduced looks different).

I honestly thought Rex was gonna have the Batch go rescue Gungi from the droids (based on the trailer) so I was a bit disappointed Omega just happened to see him while they were on a job for Cid.

Speaking of Omega, I’m not sure I like her reaction to Gungi using the Force and his lightsaber for the first time. I couldn’t tell if she was shocked because Gungi is a Jedi, or if it was because she’s never seen a Jedi. A lot of Omega is left up to interpretation so I felt like this was a missed opportunity to shed some light on her backstory. Had she seen a Jedi before? Did she know who they are? Had she seen the Force being used before? Or a lightsaber? Her reaction just felt like the answer could be yes and no. She was surprised, but not stunned/shocked.

I did like how they portrayed Gungi’s fear of clones because of O66. I felt so bad for him, especially when he was curled up on the Marauder.

It would’ve been the perfect time to find out what O66 was like from Omega’s perspective. Omega was on Kamino at the time. I believe Shaak Ti was sent off world (CW S7) so it would’ve been interesting to see.

Along with O66 from Omega’s perspective, we also could’ve gotten more of Hunter’s thoughts on Kanan and what happened.

Also since we’ve gotten Scorch in S1 in War Mantel, I really wanted Sev to be with the Wookies on Kashyyyk. Such a missed opportunity. Sev is separated from Delta Squad and presumed dead on Kashyyyk.

I also want to know what happened to the other padawans (Katooni, Ganodi, Zatt, Biff and Petro) but Gungi never brings them up.

So I guess that’s it. I was hoping Rex would’ve been involved (honestly I’m a bit surprised Echo never suggested they contact Rex), we’d get O66 from Omega’s perspective, more of Hunter’s thoughts on Kanan, mentioning the other padawans and Sev showing up.

But overall, I liked the ‘clone wars’-feel of this episode and hope the next episode continues the same way. I really hope Gungi shows up again along with the other padawans. I’d love to see them as well.
