From my trip back in March, this was filmed on 3/21/22. I haven’t been able to post these guys on YouTube due to copyright issues so y’all are the first to see my full show footage of these guys! If you like it then I’ll def post more of my animatronic escapades
You get to throw birthday parties for all of the Black Eagles, but they have to be themed like kids have (so dinosaurs, pirates, princesses, circus). What do you do for each of them?
Edelgard - Unicorn party. This might seem like a weird choice for her but I'm going to frame it as "I forced her" so she can blame me if anyone asks but then gets to enjoy it in secret. I think she would dress up as/paint her face as a unicorn and enjoy the play pretend.
Hubert - Halloween party. I don't care that his birthday isn't in October, he's getting cobwebs and witches and paper plates with ghost faces drawn on them. And I'm organizing a haunted house for him.
Ferdinand - Princess party. All the guests are confused as to why they're doing the same things they always do with him, like have afternoon tea and dance. But I think Ferdie would want an excuse to wear a beautiful dress while he does all those things.
Dorothea - Karaoke party. Or possibly some other kind of musical/theatre theme. As long as there are shows and music. There will also be games like charades and improv stuff.
Bernie - Crafting party. Meaning she and all the guests sit quietly in a cozy room and work on various types of art/crafts while eating cake.
Linhardt - Slumber party. He can have snacks and play games for as long as he likes and then he gets to sleep whenever he wants.
Caspar - Football party. He gets to play football and eat a cake shaped like a football, there will be little decorations in the shapes of footballs and goals, and the guests come dressed in shirts with numbers on them. Yes I know about sports
Petra - Pirate party. Because I think she would look dashing in a pirate costume, and also because I think she would enjoy making people walk the plank (for funsies).
Now question for you anon and anyone who reads this: Which party would you prefer to be a guest at?
Hey Chuck E, how did you and the Pizza Time Players meet The King and The Beagles?
"Chuck was amazed by the whole thing,The beagles and the king were a performing group that traveled to different restaurants. Chuck sent a offer to them to perform at our place, and they absolutely agreed!"
I had a wonderful opportunity to make some pixel art for this Welcome Home update!! Huge thanks to Clown for having me, I hope these brought at least 1% more joy to your peepers than the site already has 🙏
While their first show, King Leonardo and his Short Subjects credited Treadwell Covington and the Creston/TV Spots staff. 1966’s The Beagles was the only Total TeleVision productions show to credit all of the TTV staff (freelance storyboarders and animation directors sent to gamma included) alongside the supervisors at Gamma Productions (credited as Gamma Studios here)
The Beagles - Here Come the Beagles (Columbia-Harmony, 1967) - Design by the Total Television studio
Woof, do I have a lot to talk about here.
The Beagles was an animated series that aired on CBS in 1966, produced by Total Television. If that name sounds familiar, they're the same studio that produced King Leonardo, Tennessee Tuxedo, and more famously, Underdog. As the show name implies, it's a cheap parody of The Beatles. Interestingly, the show aired around the same time as the final season of the namesake band's own cartoon (you didn't know the Fab Four had a cartoon? They had everything!).
This album is the only proof of the show's existence. One of the co-creators said the show's editing materials were accidentally thrown out by the widow of the show's lead editor, which presumably included the film prints of each episode. I've heard that original negatives and audio tracks of the show were discovered in a warehouse in the late '90s, but I have yet to verify that.
By the way, the namesake Beagles were a duo instead of a quartet, named Stringer and Tubby. Stringer was a Dean Martin-esque guitarist while Tubby was a Jerry Lewis-esque bassist. Funny, since Martin and Lewis' music is nothing like the Beatles.
