Pairing Rise!Leo x Alba (oc)
Warning it’s over 10 thousand words long, also rated T for language.
I can’t beieve I finished it.
Have fun, and beware the fluff 👀💕
Alba had agreed to spend the night at the lair. Seeing how insistent Leo had been about it, she really didn’t feel like she had another choice but to comply.
So, after everyone had retired for the night, they snuck inside his room to spend some more time together. Leo lent her his night shirt, which she paired with her own leggings, laying on her back, resting on his pillow. Leo was using her stomach as a cushion of his own, laying perpendicular from her. His left foot stood stationary on the ground, supporting his right leg as it rested crossed over the latter’s knee.
They lounged in silence, he read a comic and she browsed through baby animal pictures, showing him the cutest ones every now and again, cooing about how precious the bear cub was despite the fact its claws could still maim a human rather easily.
“That only adds to the appeal,” she’d said with the biggest grin.
Leo stole quick glances at her, thinking back on how much she’d opened up, how much she’d grown ever since they met eachother.
In the beginning, she had this twisted idea that she needed to act more mature, which drove her to conceal the strongest emotions she went through, as if showing joy and anger were childish and undesirable traits.
Or that’s what he’d believed at first, anyway.
*
When they met, she was 16 while he’d just turned 15. Truth be told, he'd thought her to be a little odd, if not dull.
This girl had literally fallen in front of him, an over 5 feet tall mutant turtle wielding dual katanas.
She was hanging upside down, legs uncomfortably tied up in her climbing rope, a fact that thinking back on it, had probably saved her from smashing her skull against the pavement because as far as he could tell, she had not been wearing a helmet and the rope attached to her harness reached far lower.
“So, this is embarrassing… Mind helping me down?”
Her body was slowly spinning counter-clockwise.
Leo knelt down to her eye level, snickering at how ridiculous this human girl looked, mind rushing through all of the puns that absurd situation offered.
“Hang in there! I’ll help you down.”
The poor teenager bit her lips into a thin line, staring awkwardly at him while her cheeks began turning red.
“Meeting a mutant must have turned your world upside down, huh?”
Still no further reaction.
“Geez, you’re a tough crowd huh? Okay, how about: did falling for such a handsome turtle such as myself—”
“Please— I’m getting nauseous—”
Leo kept throwing in considerably awful puns for a while. She would’ve usually chuckled a little, she’d honestly found some of his puns charming, but gravity was pulling at both her blood and the contents inside her stomach.
“Oh, you don’t want the situation to escalate any further, huh?” he then stood up and began working on the knots, “you see, rock climbing, as in the sport, is called ‘escalada’ in Spanish, pretty clever, huh?”
Feeling the string getting loose, she stretched her arms down, ready to catch herself, believing he’d let her fall.
But the forceful descent never came; instead, he’d held on to her and spun her over so she was sitting straight on her harness before placing her safely on the floor.
“So, do you have a name, señorita?” Leo asked, resting his elbow on her shoulder.
What is it with the ‘ñ’? Why do so many people get it wrong?
“Give me a minute- urk! My last meal is coming back to me…”
He knew he shouldn’t have laughed, but he still did.
*
“Another human! Woohoo!” Mikey was cheerfully celebrating making a new human friend, bouncing around her as she limped next to April.
“I didn’t realize you were collecting us, Mikey,” teased O’Neil.
“I could help you with that, you know?” Donnie had offered to tend to the new girl, muttering in a poor attempt to appear ‘emotionally unavailable’ or whatever he liked to call it.
“That’s okay, I heal fast,” she’d plainly stated.
“We should hang out at school too, Alba!” April suggested cheerfully, “I’ll introduce you to Sunita.”
*
Their new friend accepted mutants’ existence very easily and seeing how other humans had literally foamed at the mouth upon laying their eyes on him and his brothers, Leo didn’t know what to make of her.
Still, she was patient and didn’t shy away from hugs.
In fact, her way of reciprocating such displays consisted mostly of chuckling and resting her head shily on whoever embraced her, which he found endearing, to say the least.
She would also smile a little awkwardly or arch her brows slightly when she found something to be funny, cute, or even curious.
Heck, he’d watched her fall and scrape her knees badly on multiple occasions after the night they met, yet her worst reaction had been a plain oof, she would then laugh it off and keep going.
Thank god for the fact that Donnie always kept an emergency first aid kit in his battle shells. This girl, Alba, came close to spraining her ankle 3 times during the first month after meeting them. And that minor setback never stopped her from climbing back up the walls, she could be visibly limping but she’d paid it no mind.
It was as if she had no self-preservation instincts.
They’d all infiltrated April’s highschool, believing the purple dragons were up to no good after their house arrest was lifted.
Sneaking in plain daylight in between the rest of the unsuspecting teenagers, Leo noticed one student in particular.
It was Alba.
He noticed the way her steps picked up the pace as she walked past a certain group, but stopped abruptly when one of the girls spoke to her.
“Alba, can we talk?”
It wasn’t a question, but a demand.
Something was wrong.
Whoever that girl was, she’d caused Alba to tense up.
Unbeknownst to Leo, her skin crawled at the mere sound of that girl’s voice.
Had it not been for the fact that she looked honestly unnerved, Leo would have been jealous of the way in which this person had managed to pull such a strong reaction from his new friend. It was definitely more than he had been capable of eliciting up until that point.
He decided to follow them, parting from his brothers under the pretense of ‘fanning out’ in search of Kendra, Jeremy and Jase.
The two girls made their way to the front of the building, near the entrance, where being surrounded by so many groups of people, they’d have the odd privacy only heavy crowds permitted.
This also made it more difficult for Leo to follow and listen in to their conversation without blowing his own cover. As good of a cover his basketball gear provided, at least.
All he was capable of making out was their forcibly friendly smiles and parting words.
“And don’t go around telling everyone,” the girl said.
“Of course, Riley.”
*
They were all hanging out in the proyector room, Mikey had suggested they brought Alba down into their lair for the first time and Splinter insisted that if she really wished to be part of the family, she had to “witness the awesomeness of Lou Jitsu,” as he’d worded it.
“Lou Jitsu? He was an actor in action movies, right?”
“He is a movie star, my child… And be more respectful because you are standing before him!”
Alba looked at the tiny rat mutant.
“You’re Lou Jitsu?”
Leo chuckled, surprised to see her eyes widen in admiration.
While his brothers and father went through their films deciding which one to watch, the red-eared slider announced that he and April would get snacks for everyone.
“What? You aren’t going to try and force us to watch your favorite movie?” Donnie was suspicious of his twin.
Leo feigned hurt, then nodded to his genius twin, “of course not my dear brother, I trust your wisdom,” he proclaimed as he grabbed April and rushed into the kitchen.
“Don’t I get a say in this?”
Finally away from prying eyes, Leo started his impromptu interrogation.
“Riley, a girl about this height, pretty, has dark long hair and greenish eyes—”
“What? How do you—?”
“Doesn’t matter, do you know who I’m talking about?”
“Okay, yes, I recognize her— Riley, everyone likes her… What about it?”
“I saw her talking to Alba a few weeks ago. You know, when we went to check on the purple dragons?”
“You spied on Alba? Leo that’s not okay,” crossing her arms, April narrowed her eyes at him.
“That’s neither here nor there, what can you tell me about them?” Leo kept pressing.
After a long pause, she shrugged.
“Honestly, I had no idea they talked to eachother at all, so I can’t help you there.”
“Aw man, Really? Damn it—”
April’s eyes softened slightly, but her stance tensed up, “do you think Riley might’ve been bothering Alba?”
*
It was a rare occasion, Alba had walked into the lair while the brothers trained.
She watched as Donnie sped by her, holding on to an orange cloth she barely recognized as Mikey’s mask, only because she watched the youngest run in search for the purple clad turtle bare-faced.
It was a rather odd sight, it made him look more naked than usual.
Shrugging, she pulled a notebook out and settled next to Splinter in the living room, who had been channel surfing during his sons’ exercise. Writing on the bound pages, she heard the brothers taunting eachother.
A short while later, Leo walked in, holding on to three masks, but missing his own.
Alba couldn’t help but stare, he looked younger and much more innocent without the blue cloth covering his face.
“You’ve still got a long way to go, mis hermanos” he teased, smirking as his brothers sulked after him.
Ignoring his exaggerated attempt at a Spanish accent, she inquired him, “where’s your mask?”
“I hid it before we started, that way they weren’t able to steal it from me! Genius right?” Donnie’s eye twitched at Leo’s use of the word.
“But that’s cheating!” complained Mikey.
“There were no rules against keeping your own masks safely hidden, Orange,” nodded Splinter, agreeing to his son’s strategy.
“Scoff! He just played dirty,” Donnie was not happy.
Cheater or not, there was no denying that Leo had outsmarted his brothers.
“Well played, Leo,” she congratulated him, earning a cocky wink from him before he sat down next to her, leaning against her frame.
“What are you writing anyway?” he asked, but she snapped the book shut before he could make any words out, “well that was a rookie move, now I’m even more curious,” he smirked mischievously before reaching for her notebook.
“No— Leo!”
He wasn’t really trying to grab it, he simply meant to pick lightly on her. The moment she tried to push him off they ended up breaking into a makeshift wrestling match.
They tussled for a while, but at some point Leo had stopped caring about the book and had become more concerned about teasing Alba, who, much to his amusement, squealed whenever she dodged his attempts at pinning her.
At some point, the notebook was discarded since they had both settled for wrestling around the room while the rest of the family praised her patience regarding Leo’s shenanigans.
*
While both April and Alba worked on their respective assignments, Mikey was scribbling in his sketchbook. The low scraping of pens, pencils and crayons against paper, paired with the clicking tunes of Raph, Leo and Donnie’s phones and tablet, made for a soothing atmospheric sound.
Then, the youngest broke the silence, “hey Alba? what’s your favorite color?”
She looked up at him surprised, then down to the deep bluish-green hoodie she wore.
Pinching the shoulders of the fabric, she lifted it nodding in his direction, answering his question silently with a soft smile.
Nodding back, the box turtle agreed with her, “it does look great on you! Makes your hazel eyes pop!”
Before she focused back on her homework, Alba bit her lip and beamed at him, her cheeks tinting into a rosy blush.
It had been a simple exchange, but Leo felt proud at how his little brother had managed to make her emote that much in such a short amount of time.
Plus, he had to agree, that color did look good on her.
“Can you help me with this grammar exercise?”
Leo did not know, but April had been seeking Alba’s help with her Spanish course ever since they met, both girls had figured it would save the two of them a few headaches if they held off on that information for a while, lest Leo throw a tantrum over said arrangement.
Shortly after, Mikey jumped off the ground.
“I’m done! Look! Alba look!”
Holding his sketchbook up to her face, coming dangerously close to smashing it against her nose, he showed her his newest piece.
It was a portrait of his entire family, eclectic as it was.
And he had included Alba, having nailed her hoodie’s color.
She grabbed his booklet and placed it gently on the floor before wrapping her arms tightly around his shoulders, nuzzling her cheek to his squishier one, causing him to let out an assortment of giddy chirping noises.
“You should give more hugs, you’re great at them!” the box turtle giggled as he tightened their embrace.
“Hey no fair! I want hugs too!” Leo whined before he tried squishing in between the both of them, which reminded Alba of a jealous pet as he joined them.
*
Leo wasn’t the most tactful member of his family.
After almost a month of trying to figure out what was up between Alba and Riley through obscure comments he’d made trying to fish out a reaction from her to no avail, his patience ran out and decided to confront her head on one night he’d walked her back home from the lair.
“So, what’s the deal with this Riley girl anyway?”
She stopped on her tracks and stared at him in awe because she could’ve sworn she’d never mentioned anything about her, but it soon turned into an actual grimace, which surprised Leo.
“How do you know about her?”
He noticed he’d most likely been way too bold, taking in her reaction at his sudden question.
"We dated during our sophomore year in highschool,” Alba admitted, resuming her walk.
She’d obviously caught his interest, seeing as how his face seemed to soften a little while he trailed after her until they were side by side again.
Averting his gaze, she continued, “she insisted we kept it a secret, then broke it off right before summer and when I asked her about her change of heart, she told me I was in over my head for misunderstanding our friendship, then she cut me off entirely."
Leo needed time to register everything, but once his mind wrapped around it, his first thought was something similar to how fucking dare she?
That Riley jerk was lucky to have been on the receiving end of Alba's affection.
“Wow, uh—” Leo did not know what to tell her, so he went for the friendliest route, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.”
She sighed, “it’s okay, I guess I never really told you guys much about myself, huh?”
After a long pause, he dared to ask the most intrusive question he could’ve thought of at that moment.
“Is that why you brush everything off so quickly? So that your feelings won’t be rejected again?”
She’d wanted to deny it, but his quick insight to her tale had been far from wrong.
“Can’t we change the subject? Please?”
*
Despite not being as quick and agile as a ninja, even Donnie recognized Alba’s rock climbing skills.
“She’s like a spider monkey or something,” he’d commented matter-of-factly.
“Damn girl! Look at those guns!” Exclaimed April.
They’d all met up in a park that had rather large walls and boulders. Upon locating them, Alba discarded her hoodie, strapped it to her waist and jumped up, climbing using her upper body alone.
Raph, as much as he admired her strength, became concerned.
“Isn’t that dangerous though? Shouldn’t you wear a helmet for that?”
Alba had been feeling a little tense lately, so she took her chance to blow some steam off. Oddly enough, the added risk of not wearing headgear gave her that extra adrenaline pump, which was undoubtedly dangerous.
“It’s okay, I know what I’m doing, no need to worry!”
She’d sounded honestly energized and confident, but that wasn't enough to keep his over-protective nature at bay, so the snapping turtle decided to hang around the edge just in case his friend slipped, keeping a close eye on her grip.
Latching on to the wall, hanging off her fingers nearly upside down, jumping to reach higher than her arms’ reach allowed, Leo could tell she was in her element, but was internally thankful for his older brother’s watchful eyes.
Especially because she slipped and fell over half a dozen times.
“Si sigues así, vas a dedicarte a la escayola y no a la escalada,” Leo mumbled as he helped her up after her eighth fall, believing she hadn’t understood him.
That wasn’t half bad, Alba thought, the ‘ayo’ in escayola sounded awkward, though.
After dusting herself off, she failed to dodge Leo’s grip, attempting to stop her from dashing back towards the wall.

“Alba no—”
*
As he laid back on his bed, Leo kept thinking back on the awkward conversation he pretty much had forced on Alba a few nights ago.
It had finally made sense to him, her efforts at keeping her thoughts and feelings to herself, reacting lightly to most of the things that happened around her.
She wasn’t dull, nor apathetic.
Her first love had played her, ignored her, then told her to forget about it altogether.
She’d become afraid of having her feelings rejected and decided to minimize the possibility of being rejected in such a way ever again.
He wanted to help her, he wanted to help his friend.
*
“And don’t be home too late!”
“I promise I won’t be, love you, mom.”
“I love you too, Babby-baby,” said her mom before hanging up.
Leo had witnessed and heard the entire phone call.
“Your mom calls you Babby-baby?” he asked bewildered.
Alba yelped, not having noticed he had snuck up on her. His lips twisted into the biggest grin she’d ever seen on him.
Oh boy, she thought shrinking in on herself.
“That’s so fucking cute!” he cooed right before picking her up, cradling her like a child and spinning on his heels.
“Leo! Don’t— I’m not a baby!”
*
Leo had taken it upon himself, the face-man, to break Alba out of her fear of rejection.
He proceeded to up his game. His one liners were all over the place, he threw his arm over her shoulders more often, invaded her personal space just because and urged her to give her opinion even on the silliest of subjects.
“What do you prefer? Chunky or smooth peanut butter?”
“I’ve… Never had peanut butter before…”
“… Excuse me?”
To be perfectly honest, watching Alba try to suck a spoonful of peanut butter clean was one of the funniest things he’d ever watched, Leo had half a mind to record her.
He was dead set on doing wwhatever it would take him to pull any reactions from Alba, he wanted her to let loose and gain some confidence and assertiveness back.
Of course, she was aware of what he was attempting, Leo wasn’t necessarily chill about his self-assigned mission.
She still didn’t know how to feel about it all, however.
*
“Well, hello there you little creeper.”
Alba looked up from her place on the floor, arms and legs bound, inside the fancy office, as the lady that she knew ran the yokai hotel deactivated her magic cloak and revealed her hulking arachnid frame.
“Big Mama,” she whispered in near disbelief and actual concern, she’d never actually seen her real form.
“I know about you my dearest girl, about your mother, and about your love for crawling up walls, just like yours truly,” she emphasized the latter by creeping up the ceiling of the room.
The lady had sent Gus on a hunt for the girl, she’d recently found out about the newest addition to the group through her mostly illicit sources and decided to get herself a fresh coercitive advantage.
“Were it not for your alliance with those bothersome turtles, I would’ve considered adding you to my intelligence gathering team,” she sneered, “I could’ve aided those skills of yours, you know? They are handy for reaching even the most inconspicuous of nooks, after all.”
Alba felt goosebumps forming on her skin. She did not like spiders. Period. And Big Mama was doing a pretty damn good job at intimidating her.
“Well? Go ahead, cry for help, lure the turtles to me.”
Alba gestured to Gus, who had long since dropped his threatening act, “he surprised me and made me drop my phone. Plus I don’t have anything else to contact them, so…”
The mob boss looked down at her, trying to figure out whether this teen was messing with her or being truthful about her claim.
“You’re not even going to try and run away? Pitter patter your way out of this hotel?”
“You did tie me down, your webs really are something,” she smiled weakly, trying not to freak out.
This lady ran the battle nexus and if anything, avoiding getting on the woman’s bad side was Alba’s top priority. She’d already been warned that Big Mama could be very awful news. Furthermore, she hadn’t been lying about losing her phone to Gus’ antics and not owning any other device that allowed Donnie to know about her whereabouts.
Sometime after a few awkward exchanges, Big Mama offered to undo her bindings, seeing as how her plan seemed to have failed beyond expectations.
Raising one of her claws to rip through the web, the giant double-doors burst open.
“Get your dangly claws away from her,” spat Leo.
“Turtles! Yes! I knew my plan would—”
Before she could finish her cheer, his brothers engaged the henchmen inside the office space, while their leader beelined towards Alba, meaning to get her out of the forsaken building.
He reassured her, running one of his blades carefully across the sticky strings that bound her arms and legs “I got you.”
Just as he held onto her hand, ready to blink her away to safety, Alba got yanked back and away from him by another one of Big Mama’s webs that had latched on to her ankle, only to drag her across the room and through an already cracked window’s glass, out into the cold night and off the tall building.
Leo felt bile rise to his throat as he dashed across the chaos to jump after his friend, but much to his surprise and most of all, relief, he found her hanging upside down off her leg, a few feet down the broken windowsill’s edge. The gooey web had ironically saved her.
Despite the danger in which she was actually in, Alba smiled up at him, trying to shoo his visible worry away.
“Well, this feels familiar huh?” she joked, but the few cuts and bruises her legs and arms had sustained only urged him to worry further.
“I can get you down safely, but I’m going to need you to trust me,” he told her.
“Just like that time,” she nodded. There wasn’t a hint of hesitation from her.
Leo turned to his brothers, “let’s wrap this up, Raph do your thing and vámonos!”
Even hanging upside down with her life on the line, she held back her urge to chuckle at his pronunciation.
Understanding Leo’s approach, the eldest brother used his proyections to confuse Big Mama’s goons, giving them all the opportunity to escape by jumping off the building.
He cut Alba free right as he jumped off, allowing him to gather her in his arms as they dove down with the rest of the team.
“Portaling feels a little funny at first, just hold on to me okay?” he warned her.
A bright blue flash blinded her momentarily, then all the wind that had been rushing at them stopped abruptly.
They were back in the lair.
Leo insisted on nursing her wounds himself. They were really light, just a few scratches and bruises from when she’d been dragged, but he’d believed he was to blame for the whole ‘hanging off a building and nearly falling to her death’ deal.
All the while, even if the alcohol he’d used to clean her injuries burnt like a bitch, Alba would simply suck in a breath and hold still.
“You got kidnapped by a scary mob boss, then almost fell off a tall-ass building,” Leo mumbled as he carefully placed a bandaid on her knee, “it’s okay for you to feel scared, you know?”
She bit her lip, his fingers tickling her on accident, “but I’m fine now.”
The way he scoffed at her answer made her nip harder on her lip, then look away from his frustrated gaze.
“Thankyou, Leo.”
He smirked, “anytime, Babby—” she hit him with a pillow.
*
“I don’t want your pity.”
He was immediately frozen on the spot.
“What?”
Leo had brought Alba to the arcade, meaning to play a few matches on the different machines. His smack-talking and teasing had been getting way too personal, while she had grown more weary of his antics with every passing day.
She appreciated his desire to help her fight her fear, she really did, but sometimes she felt weighed down by them, as if there was something wrong with her. The fact that she had kept such concerns to herself hadn’t helped in the slightest, either.
Speaking louder, she repeated after herself, “I said I don’t want your pity, okay?”
The red-eared slider was having a hard time registering that whole situation.
“I know what you are doing, but I don’t need to be fixed,” she then spun around on her heels, stomping for the exit of the neon-lit room.
“Whoa! Wait— Alba!” he rushed to stand between her and the doorway, “whoever said anything about fixing?”
“What are you trying to do, then?” her voice cracked, “you started acting out more than usual after I told you about Riley,” she exhaled shakily as a deep scowl settled on her brows.
“I don’t want to ‘fix’ anything, I know you aren’t broken,” he’d never thought she was capable of glaring at anyone, but he stood corrected, “I just want you to like yourself as much as we like you.”
“I… What?”
“Yeah, you don’t need to hold yourself back, we aren’t going to hurt you,” he paused, sighed and smiled.
Genuinely smiled at her.
“Alba… We’d never reject you,” Leo noticed the way her eyes widened and became glossy, “we already think you’re awesome, dummy.”
She bit her lips into a thin line and avoided his gaze..
“Doctor Feelings is much better at these things,” he whined, then exhaled deeply “you can be yourself, we like your ‘you’, you know?”
Her watery eyes closed as she snorted at the awkward sentence, triggering a single tear to rush down her cheek, which immediately lured many more to follow suit.
Being totally unprepared to witness his reserved ‘slash’ aloof friend break down crying in front of him, Leo made haste to hold Alba close, allowing her to hide her face against his plastron as she shook quietly in his arms, loosely wrapping her own around his waist.
He hadn’t meant to make her cry.
After a while, she mumbled, face smushed against his chest “‘m sorry for snapping at you like that.”
His chin rested over the crown of her head, “and I’m sorry for making you feel like you had to be fixed, Babby.”
Alba tightened her embrace, nuzzling further into him as she chuckled at the pet name.
He gasped, “Miguel was right…” then cooed, “you are a great hugger.”
As he pressed his snout to her neck, holding even tighter on to her smaller frame, Leo managed to squeeze a louder giggle out of her.
Donnie and Leo were having a Smash tournament. The game was really close, it really seemed like either could’ve won.
Tumblr media
Ah-choo!
Both brothers jumped as Alba, who had been nestled up between them scrolling through her phone, sneezed out of the blue and startled them.
“You okay over there spider monkey?” Donnie asked, to which she nodded sniffing.
Leo started panicking, “you don’t think it could be rat-flu, right?”
“Dad hasn’t been sick in a while, how exactly did you expect for her to be infected?”
“I don’t know, maybe Splinter hasn’t shown any symptoms and we just didn’t realize!”
“We literally called it ‘rat-flu’ because of his symptoms, Leo!”
As the both of them kept arguing, having forgotten about the videogame, Alba started feeling uncomfortably warm.
“It’s scorching in here,” she muttered while she undid her sweater.
That caught both turtle’s attention however.
“Oh hell no,” Donnie jumped up instantly, “I’m not risking it, you deal with it Leo!” then ran off, leaving his twin to deal with their possibly sick friend.
Leo shamed him, “you coward!”
It had been a false alarm.
*
They were all hanging out in the same rock climbing park in which they’d met Alba. It was late at night and her phone had died, so she asked April for hers to let her parents know that she was with some friends and that she’d be back home a little later than expected.
“Gracias papá, te quiero, adiós,” she then handed the phone back to April, who was frantically looking around to check whether Leo had heard her. Seeing as the coast was clear, she sighed in relief.
“I swear, he’s going to freak out when he finds out you’re-”
Mikey’s frustrated bellows cut April off.
The guys played ninja tag around while she and April sat on top of one of the tallest boulders and acted as referees, mostly to make sure neither Donnie nor Leo cheated. They’d decided to tag-team 3 vs 1, it was the red-eared slider’s turn to avoid his brothers.
“Alba! Hey Alba! Babby look! They can’t catch me, I’m too fast for— Oof!”
Leo missed his step and slipped down one of the many walls, landing on his face.
*
When the brothers and April returned from an exhausting mission, the blue-clad turtle had appeared to be visibly tired. Alba sat on a beanbag, reading one of the comics he’d lent her and Splinter sipped on Milk, while a Lou Jitsu film played on the proyector.
“Albaaa,” he mumbled scurrying over to her, “I’m beat, gimme cuddles.”
She was already anticipating his next move so she parted her legs open right before he knelt and buried his face against her stomach, his arms coming around her middle.
While Splinter asked them about their night, Alba ran her fingernails over Leo’s shell and listened intently, chuckling every time he buried his snout further into her, wearing the goofiest grin.
Before long, everyone retreated to their rooms, safe for April who fell asleep on the beanbag across from Alba and Leo, who had fallen asleep on Alba.
She leaned in to kiss Leo’s cheek goodnight, just like she’d do with her family.
Just then, her body’s shift stirred him awake.
Alba whispered her apologies profusely, realizing how close she’d come to overstep what she believed was a set boundary between them.
He'd never seen her so nervous, and if anything, he chuckled lazily at the sight. Leo smiled satisfied, then kissed her cheek. After a moment to take it all in, she giggled low and kissed his temple before he left for his room, meaning to rest for the night.
Dropping on to his bed, he felt an odd fluttering rising up to his chest, but decided to ignore it and sleep instead.
*
Understanding it as affectionate displays of their close friendship, Alba felt encouraged to exchange those kinds of innocent kisses more often with him. They’d served as greetings, farewell and honestly, they’d often smooch eachother’s cheeks just for the heck of it.
At first, Leo’s brothers, Splinter and April had all been surprised, excited even, until they noticed no other signs that suggested an ongoing romance between him and Alba.
“Nothing really, they’re just fun,” Leo told Donnie when he asked what all those pecks were about.
He didn’t really think too much about it. Her cheeks were soft and her lips tickled him whenever she kissed him, it felt no different from a hug.
When Mikey too started sheepishly stealing and asking Alba for kisses, Leo wasn’t surprised in the slightest. He knew his little brother was as touch-starved as himself. Heck, even Raph and Donnie had received and pressed soft pecks to her bubbly cheeks every now and then.
He also knew that whenever he demanded affection or any form of emotional support from her, he could expect a smooch or two to be added to the mix, along with shell scritches and hugs.
All he asked for was priority, if more than one turtle wanted affection, he had to be her number one.
Nothing weird about that, right?
*
The weekend was just around the corner and Casey had suggested she, April, Sunita and Alba hit the ice rink on Saturday afternoon. It was the hot-headed teen’s specialty after all, she had wanted to share her hobby with them.
“I believe it’s called bonding,” Casey said.
Try as she might, Alba could not manage to avoid falling every now and again. She kissed  the rink, bumped on the walls, on other attendees, and so on. To nobody’s surprise, she accumulated light bruises all over and even managed to cut her chin on the ice from a scary fall that had her slide a few feet face down on the slippery surface.
Thankfully, they had all been light wounds.
Having agreed on joining the turtles the next day, the moment Leo saw the bandaid on her chin, he panicked.
“Who did that to you? I’ll avenge you, I swear,” he sneered cupping her face.
In the past, all of her accidents had led to her arms and legs getting bruised up, never her face, so he’d thought someone else was responsible.
Rolling her eyes, April smirked and answered in her friend’s stead, “we went ice skating and she just slipped, “she told him, “it happens all the time.”
“I’m fine,” Alba insisted, knowing it was completely useless.
Indeed, he was far from convinced, so he proceeded to check on her as he searched for more possible injuries. Being perfectly used to it, Alba simply t-posed and let him go at it until he was satisfied.
Raph smiled fondly at his brother’s concern, he already knew what feeling over-protective over someone you cared about felt like and watching Leo lose his shit over Alba was quite amusing.
“Donnie! Help! I can’t find her pulse!”
“That’s her ear ‘Nardo…” he then muttered, “do those airheads really not notice?”
April smirked, “you can’t deny that it’s fun to watch.”
“Maybe it really isn’t like that—” Raph started, but Mikey cut in, squinting his eyes at his brother.
“You’re joking right? It totally is like that, dude.”
*
He finally did it.
After weeks of failed attempts at making her laugh out loud, he'd found a clip of a goat taking revenge on an asshole that had tried scaring it. Upon showing it to Alba, she snorted, chuckled and then cackled uncontrollably, clutching her belly as it started to feel sore.
He'd never heard her laugh as carefree and cheerfully as that time, the most she’d previously let out had been light giggles and chuckles. That alien sound had him stare wide-eyed at her, smiling like a fool, as if he’d hit the jackpot.
His brain recorded and stored it as a core memory, right in that ‘things Leonardo Hamato likes about Alba’ section.
Before he could even start singing his own praises at having found something to break her however, Leo panicked internally.
Excuse me, but what the fuck was that just now?
He felt an odd warmth rising to his cheeks.
Oh fuck, no—
She was patient, until she lost her nerve and then became a bumbling mess, unable to form words and speaking random syllables instead, which always made him laugh.
Wait—
Whenever he suggested they hang out in that outdoors climbing park she loved so much, Alba would get those ‘happy shakies’ that literally made her vibrate in anticipation.
Let’s not rush into this—
She was a natural at latching on to seemingly flat surfaces and climbing over them, gravity be damned, Donnie didn’t call her spider monkey just because.
She’s my friend—
She’d also opened up so much to them, especially to him.
She’s my best friend—
He liked the way she indulged his touch-starved approaches.
He liked how he was the one friend to get most of her loving displays.
He liked his best friend.
*
Leo was the master of playing it cool, so he did exactly that.
Not wanting to raise any suspicion, he acted the exact same way he’d been doing from the very beginning, keeping silent about his infatuation with Alba, trusting it would eventually wilt and become something they’d all laugh about in the near future.
As expected, it was much easier said than done.
Not only had he started watching her more closely, he’d also started noticing more things he liked about her.
Like how fit she really was, her climbing skills were no joke and the strength and muscle definition that came alongside that fact had him discreetly drooling.
And her habit of biting on her lower lip out of unease, or simply to hold back some of her silly and absolutely gorgeous smiles. Whenever he watched as her canine pulled at her pout, Leo had to make a physical effort not to chirp at the sight.
His crush also meant he stopped not caring about how she would sometimes kiss and embrace others too.
That was rough for him.
He’d already felt jealous when he watched as Donnie agreed to lean down so that she could kiss his cheek as thanks for fixing her phone.
Knowing how much of a cuddle-bug Mikey was, along with the fact that he was his baby brother, Leo couldn’t do much to stop him from hanging out with Alba, though he would still scowl if he wasn’t allowed some space to nuzzle in with her.
He begrudgingly settled for being on the receiving end of most of her affection.
After all, Alba still favored him, even if it was in a platonic sense.
She made him feel special and Leo was planning on indulging himself.
*
She’d twisted her ankle.
He’d meant to have her try his skateboard, just for the heck of it, really.
It wasn’t like he’d been making up excuses to spend more time with her.
Still, he wasn’t expecting for the little fucker to immediately roll to the side the moment Alba stepped on it, causing her to fall sideways as her foot twisted in an undoubtedly painful angle.
They sat in the med-bay, both of her legs rested on his lap as he bandaged her ankle carefully.
“I’m fi—”
“Say ‘I’m fine’ one more time and I’m telling Donnie it was you who poured salt in his coffee last week,” he glared at her, “I fucking dare you.”
Alba chuckled, but it soon turned into a high-pitched squeak the moment Leo accidentally tickled her when he ran his fingers along the back of her leg absentmindedly after being done wrapping the cloth.
Clasping her hands over her mouth, she locked eyes with him and felt a chill running down her spine as a twisted smirk formed in his previously downturned lips.
Oh no—
After he immobilized her, Leo repeated the same motion that had alerted her nerves. Soon enough, the room was filled with her laughter, mixed with pleas for him to be merciful on her.
*
They were all meant to meet together and hang out in the Hidden City, but Alba texted them saying she was feeling a little under the weather and not to wait for her.
Leo was bummed out, but he also wanted to check on her.
“Leo? Where are you going?” Mikey watched as his brother went off on his own.
“Probably going to check on Alba,” shrugged April.
And check on her he did.
When Leo reached her bedroom’s windowsill, he tapped on the glass before letting himself in.
It was empty, Alba was nowhere to be seen, but her laptop was on and he could hear the bathroom sink running, so assuming she’d be back shortly, he decided to sit on her bed and wait.
The door opened and just as expected, she walked in.
“Leo? What are you doing here?”
He immediately noticed that she appeared pale, safe for her nose, cheeks and eyes which looked red and somewhat swollen.
“… Have you been crying?” his voice sounded uncharacteristically low.
The sole though made his stomach twist in a sickening way. It felt wrong.
Instead of vocalizing her answer, Alba bit her lip and nodded slowly as she sniffled lightly.
He didn’t press her any further, deciding to bring her to bed, lay her next to him and wrap his arms and legs around her, protecting her shorter frame as she faced away from him, curled up comfortably.
After Leo turned off the lights, the laptop's dim screen emitted enough light to make up her silhouette. He noticed she was trembling slightly, low whimpers breaking the silence every now and again. Whenever her shoulders shook, he pressed his lips on against the shell of her ear or temple, trying to soothe her silent sobbing.
Tumblr media
His arms wrapped tightly around her waist, but she drove one of his hands down to press slightly over her lower belly, which was noticeably swollen. He then understood what had been bothering her, so he started pressing lightly over her tummy, massaging slowly.
“Does it feel better?”
Hearing her hum a drowsy approval, Leo rested his head over hers, laying his cheek on her temple, shielding her further.
He left only after making sure she’d fallen asleep.
Disentangling himself from her, Leo took a closer look at Alba’s sleeping face. Dry tears stained the corners of her eyes, despite the peaceful expression she wore. He brushed stray strands of hair off her face, causing her to mumble something and stirr a little in her sleep.
“Goodnight, Babby,” he chuckled low before kissing her cheekbone, then covered her in a blanket and snuck out the window.
*
She’d joined Raph, April and Leo at Run of the Mill Pizza.
Squished between the other human and her best friend, Alba looked around, a small smile regarding all the yokai around her.
“What will you teenagers have tonight?”
Fulfilling his role as the face-man, Leo passed on every single order they’d each settled on while Hueso wrote it all down. Once they were done, Alba took a sip of her glass.
“Will that be all, Pepino?”
Holy fuck—
She snorted, choked, then spat water on Raph, who had been sitting across from her. As she coughed cry-laughing, Leo placed his hand behind her shoulder, a mix of worry and amusement battling in his face, while hers became redder and redder from lack of oxygen, as well as the implications the aforementioned nickname held.
“Babby? Alba are you okay?”
Hueso must’ve caught on, because he chuckled, covering his fleshless mouth with the notepad filled with food orders.
“I’ll tell you later,” Alba waved Leo off, still wheezing and becoming forever unable to keep a straight face near Hueso.
After they enjoyed their eccentric dinner and heading back to the lair, she stayed a little behind with the red-eared slider, then apprehensively proceeded to explain to him why she’d reacted the way she had.
“It was because of what he called you… About…” her cheeks felt warm, “‘pepino,’” he seemed to be listening to her, so she continued, “you see, ‘pepino’ in Spanish is—”
But he cut her off “you speak Spanish?” Leo’s surprise was then replaced by offense, “you speak Spanish!?”
She sighed, running her hands through her hair.
“How come you never told us? How come you never told me?”
“I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, I only speak Spanish at home after all,” she excused herself.
He insisted, however, “why? How?”
“My papá was born in Spain, so I grew up learning from him, but that’s not the point, Leo.”
“You mean that all this time we could’ve had a secret language just for the two of us?”
“Oh man…”
“And you tell me now?”
“Leo—”
“Wait— Oh my god did I embarrass myself saying something stupid?”
“No— I mean, sometimes, but—”
“And—” he gasped, “is your name Spanish too? What does it mean?”
“Leo!”
Having run out of patience, Alba grabbed his sash and pulled on it, urging him to lean in closer so that she could whisper in his ear, to which he complied laughing at her near desperation, but she missed the slight blush that rose to his cheeks upon feeling her lips brushing against him.
Had it not been for her words, he’d been enjoying himself greatly.
His eyes blew wide open.
Tumblr media
“Pepino means WHAT!?”
Leo was mortified, to say the least.
Alba had a difficult time making eye contact with him while he basically went through an existential crisis.
*
Leo and Donnie argued while they were all making breakfast together after an improvised sleepover.
It had been something silly, but his insomnia had been pretty bad for the past couple of weeks, so by extension, his mood wasn’t the best either. April sent Alba a knowing look, urging her to head after Leo when he walked out on everyone and locked himself in his room.
She knocked once, then twice and stepped inside, knowing how to open the door despite it being locked, a little trick he had taught her some time ago.
He was face down on his bed, covered in his sheets, cursing under his breath.
"Why did you react that way? That was so stupid," she heard him mutter to himself.
She sat on the edge of his bed, her back to him.
"Take your time, I’ll be here," Alba whispered as she patted his shell lightly.
They both sat in silence, he was embarrassed at his dramatic outburst. Sure, he was the drama queen, but he hadn’t meant to be one that time.
Leo sighed then sat back up, having calmed down. He'd meant to thank Alba for her patience, but before a sound made it past his lips, he felt hers pressing on the corner of his mouth, to which his eyes widened.
She pulled back, smiled at him and stepped out.
After he made sure she was out of earshot, Leo pressed his face down into his pillow and screetched like a banshee, then waited until his blush toned down and the stupid smile that had plastered on his face left before joining his family back in the kitchen.
She’s going to be the death of me.
*
“Your mom is a mutant!?” Mikey yelped.
Alba had been scrolling through her camera roll, and the box turtle just so happened to walk past behind her, noticing what seemed to be a family picture, portraying little Alba, along with both her parents, a human and what her skittish friend had assumed to be some sort of tall deer mutant.
Jumping with a start, she nearly dropped her phone just as the others perked up at Mikey’s statement.
“What did you just say?” Donnie lifted his gaze off his tablet, for a change.
“Well, uh—”
“Are you a half-mutant or something?” the youngest was all up on Alba.
“Mikey!” She chuckled, “I’m just a human, my papá happened to marry a yokai, that’s all.”
“Yokai can marry humans?” April asked, eyeing Leo discreetly, he’d been staring wide-eyed at Alba the moment Mikey mentioned her mom.
“It’s rather common, actually,” Draxum answered walking in the room, shrugging his shoulders, “there are still a few who turn their noses up to the idea, but it’s been happening for centuries.”
“Ain’t that ironic coming from you,” Raph stated with a raised brow.
“Can we see?” Mikey asked bashfully, signaling to the phone.
“Uh… I mean— I’m 4 years old in this picture and it’s not exactly—”
Leo rushed and managed to snag the device away from her hands.
“Oh my god! Tiny Alba! Look at all of your missing teeth!”
The rest circled him as he continued fawning over the image on display between his hands.
The picture was an edit that showed a human man that resembled her very closely and a very tall faun, with an elongated, graceful face and twirly horns, holding on to a very bubbly and toothless Alba.
Before she could take her stolen phone back, Leo took the chance to send himself a cropped version of the picture, so that he could look at tot Alba anytime he’d want.
*
He’d just meant to kiss her cheek.
He really did.
However, something caught Alba’s eye, which caused her to tilt her head in order to look at it properly.
That’s how Leo’s lips ended up pressed against hers.
Pulling away almost instantly, he was ready to apologize, but the way her eyes crinkled up due to the grin she wore told him there was no need for that.
Tumblr media
From the sidelines, Donnie rolled his eyes so far up he probably saw his brain.
“Clueless idiots,” he mumbled.
“Well, I think it’s adorable,” Mikey exclaimed, tilting his chin up, as if he was talking about some fine-aged wine.
April pulled her phone out, “do you want to change your bet, Donnie?”
*
It had been a long time since the last time she spent an entire day in the Hidden City, so Alba asked Leo to join her, feeling a little insecure about the possibility of going on her own.
Of course, he agreed with no delay.
As usual, Leo tried to talk his way either out of trouble or into interesting places, which often brought his flirtatious nature out.
So there they were, getting scolded for unknowingly cutting a line into a cool-looking place to eat. The turtle in question started chatting up the attractive kitsune yokai that had called them out, commenting on his “fluffy tails, sharp ears and striking eyes,” as a means to cool his ire down.
The moment the fox started to return the compliments, and before she could think twice, Alba held on to her friend’s arm and dragged him away, clenching her jaw in sudden turmoil.
Why did I do that?
Now, Leo was very familiarized with what jealousy looked like.
He had not expected her to react like that at all, but the giddy smile on his face suggested he’d liked it and if he ever said otherwise, he’d be lying.
*
They’d finally met her parents.
Her papá, was a burly yet skittish man that had taken to care for their apartment while her mom, a slender faun that stood a foot taller than her husband worked as an accountant for a series of yokai-run businesses on the surface.
Some more lawful than others.
The couple was going to head out for a much needed vacation, so Alba asked for their permission to bring her friends home, to which they agreed in exchange of finally meeting them.
Introductions went smoothly, her dad understood what it meant to be involved with non-humans and her mom knew what it was like to hide one’s identity.
She’d also made Leo promise he’d hold back on his Spanish.
The same day they left, Alba brought all four of the brothers, along with April, to spend the night in her house. When everyone but Leo and herself dozed off in the living room, she shushed him, held his hand and brought him to her room, closing the door after themselves.
He was piss-scared, his mind rushing at the implications of her actions despite having already been to her bedroom many times before.
Alba turned her night lamp on, then crouched to reach for a notebook she kept under her bed. Leo recognized it as the one he’d tried to peek at a little over a year and a half prior.
“Here,” she whispered, holding the worn item to him.
To say he felt confused would be an understatement, “wait— What?”
Alba insisted, “it’s okay, open it.”
“But— But this is—”
“I know what it is, dork,” she beamed at him, “you can open it, I trust you.”
Leo swallowed hard and immediately after the cover lifted, he snapped the book shut, causing her to jump a little.
After placing her journal down on the bed, he turned to Alba and squished her against his plastron, burying his snout in the crook of her neck.
“I really wouldn’t mind, you know?” she whispered, returning his embrace just as eagerly.
He huffed a single chuckle, “shut up, dummy,” then kissed her cheek.
*
Rainy, cold, damp and plain boring. It had been a miserable day on the surface.
Texting Leo beforehand, Alba headed for the lair to hang out with him.
She’d meant to linger with everyone, but the moment she arrived, he dragged her inside his room so that he didn’t have to share her attention with anyone.
By the looks of it, the afternoon promised to be a lazy one, so they both ended up cuddled up on his bed, under a cozy blanket he’d recently had washed.
Thank god for laundry day, he thought.
She’d arrived almost shivering, her fingers, nose and cheeks were red from the cold, so Leo hugged her entire frame, squeezed her digits between his upper plastron and his palms, then pressed his cheek to hers.
“I love cuddling,” he sighed dreamily, causing her to chuckle before moving closer to him.
Pressing a peck to her temple, he noticed the way she was slowly melting in his embrace, eyes closed, with a silly smile plastered on her. Grinning in self-satisfaction, Leo pressed his lips to her forehead, down to her cheekbone.
Then the little imp decided to blow raspberries against her cheek, causing Alba to screech in surprise and pull away from him amidst his laughter.
“You are the worst!” she chuckled, “I was about to fall asleep you dork!” there was no way she could convince him she was ticked off, seeing the way she smiled.
“Lemme make it up to you,” he muttered, grinning like a devil and cradling her up in his arms like a baby.
“I was so comfy, too,” she kissed his cheek, “you’re a jerk.”
Leo was finding it hard not to churr.
Placing a kiss to the corner of her lips, he smiled down at her after parting, right before pressing his lips to hers.
She giggled blissfully, then nuzzled up to him, hiding her cold nose into the crook of his neck. The contrast between her warm breath and freezing nose sent an oddly pleasant chill down his spine.
*
The guys had been out on their usual patrol, April and Alba stayed behind with Splinter and Draxum.
When they made their way back, the turtles stood stunned upon finding the four of them laughing, both human girls brushing and braiding the yokai and the rat’s hair. April was doing Splinter’s, Alba was doing Barry’s.
Mikey smiled wide, running to sit between the two pairs, gushing over their bonding moment.
“What is going on here?” Donnie was completely taken back by the sight.
The former villain held on to a cup of tea, legs crossed and a smug unbothered look plastered on his face while his long hair was spoiled by Alba’s dexterous fingers. When he locked eyes with Leo, Draxum brought the cup up to his lips and took a long, loud and plain condescending sip, raising one if his brows up at him.
The red-eared slider smiled, but on the inside he was fuming.
Tumblr media
If only looks could kill.
*
They were alone in the lair’s kitchen, getting hot chocolate ready for everyone.
“Stop biting your lips,” Leo warned her.
“Huh?”
For the past couple of weeks, fall had already been settling in all over New York City and the cold in the air had caused Alba’s lips to chip, which urged her to nip, pull and bite at her pout, making little but painful wounds appear.
Of course, such bruises hurt and Leo couldn’t either get kisses from nor kiss Alba.
And he missed it.
“You’re messing them up and they’ll take longer to heal, stop picking at them— Alba!”
She had absentmindedly been pulling at an open chip with her canine.
“Sorry, it’s just an impulse,” she chuckled.
Grunting frustrated, Leo pressed his palm over her lips, “come on! How much longer am I going to have to wait until you heal?”
Wait?
Then, it clicked.
“Is that what’s got you so worked up?” muffled as she sounded, he was able to make her words out, “you miss kissing?” she teased.
His reply was a deep scowl paired with a childish pout while a tiny blush hid in his red stripes. Leo wasn’t used to Alba mocking him.
She’d come close to suggesting he asked April or Sunita for kisses as a joke, but the mere thought caused an uneasy feeling to crawl at the back of her mind.
Exhaling a chuckle, Alba pulled his hand off her mouth, then, much to his bewilderment, leaned in to nip gently at his chin.
“You know you can still kiss me, right?”
Feeling his face become uncomfortably warm, he felt as if he’d been losing, so his hands flew to her jawline, keeping her still as he pressed his much healthier lips all over her face, safe for her own mouth, finishing with a nibble at her cheek.
Giggling at the stampede, the unease her previous thought had given her was chased away.
*
“Leo? … Leo..!” Alba beckoned him insistently.
“Huh? What?” he tilted his head over her tummy, locking his eyes with her curious gaze, “need something?”
“What do you mean ‘need something’?” she chuckled surprised, “you’ve been staring at the same page for over 15 minutes now, you dork.”
“Have I?”
Alba placed her phone next to her head on the pillow, then ran her fingers over the red stripes that peaked over his temple.
“What’s got you so enthralled?”
You.
“Just thinking, I guess,” Leo shrugged.
“Mind sharing?” she kept pressing, genuinely interested. It wasn’t like him to doze off into his own thoughts like that.
Closing his comic book shut, he leaned into his shoulder as he stretched his arm, meaning to place the issue on his nightstand without getting off Alba’s belly. He swore she was the most comfortable pillow on earth.
When his arm was close enough to her, she reached to brush his yellow stripes, watching as Leo’s muscles flexed and contracted at the movement.
Having turned on his side, he stayed like that and looked up at her, taking in her features. Over the years and by the time she’d turned 19, any and all the baby fat on her round face left to reveal a dashing young woman. Her height remained the same, which he found simply adorable.
He’d always thought Alba was cute, but she’d become breathtaking.
“You’re beautiful, you know that?”
As she snorted, he sat straight up, his torso facing her while she stayed put.
“You think I’m joking?” Leo challenged as he loomed over her, then rested his forearms over her ribcage, his chin propped up over them, “I have the most gorgeous best friend.”
Silence settled inside the bedroom once more, the both of them looking into eachothers’ eyes.
She beamed at him. Leo stood a few extra inches taller than her, having gone through a growth spurt that had him towering even more over her, appearing larger now that even his entire muscle mass had developed further. Despite his jawline gaining a more square definition, he still kept that mischievous glint to his sharper eyes.
Of course, Leo knew he looked good, but he loved catching Alba gawking discreetly at him.
For the past few months, the air around them whenever they were in private had been changing just slightly.
They’d still share smooches, hugs and everything they’d grown to exchange as teenagers, but as the both of them reached past their late teens and started going into adulthood, their eyes would linger on eachother’s lips even after their quick pecks and their embraces suggested a certain longing that still remained unspoken among the two of them.
Up until that point, neither had dared to make a move, despite the both of them feeling pretty sure about their feelings for one another.
Tracing her fingers over his red stripes once more, Leo closed his eyes as she began pulling his mask down, allowing it to hang off his neck. She cupped his cheeks, brushing her nails over his jawline, then he propped himself up over her, crawling up to press a kiss to her forehead.
Alba melted below him as his lips traveled down her temple, to her cheekbone, brushing all the way, never really breaking contact with her skin.
Lifting her chin up, she chased after his mouth apprehensively with her own, her palms resting on his biceps.
When they kissed, it was unlike what they'd previously done before.
It was slow and tender, with no hint of playfulness poured in it. They stayed connected, brushing their pouts together, parting barely before chasing after eachother a second time, just as slowly and gently.
Then they repeated the same motion a third time.
Then a fourth time.
She lifted herself up just a little, enough to press her lips harder against him. Sighing when she’d felt him reciprocate the upped intensity, Leo placed both of his forearms on either side of her head so that he could loom further over her, his hands brushing her hair behind her ears. Raising to his knees, he dared to sneak his tongue out along her mouth.
Her hands flew up to cup his cheeks, parting her lips for him to intrude as he pleased.
The moment their tongues found eachother, Alba let out a breathy moan that surprised the both of them, just not enough to stop what they’d started. Grunting in response, Leo settled himself in between her legs, which came around behind him as he deepened the kiss.
When they finally parted to breathe in much needed oxygen, Leo was the first to speak after what had felt like an eternity.
“You do understand I wouldn’t want this with anyone else but you, right?” he husked as his snout brushed over her nose, “you’re it for me, dummy.”
Alba pressed her lips tightly together, then chuckled earnestly before pulling down on his mask, “you’re a dork”.
