Normally, Rio didn't make a habit of going into other people's laboratories without permission. Her own was set up exactly as she liked it - habitats and enclosures in one space, active research space in another, and an office space to catalogue her papers and files. Giving tours or showing off the birds to interested school children was one thing, but letting someone have their run of the place without her supervision? Ehhh... That didn't seem like a great idea, for a variety of reasons.
Still, Rio only hoped whoever ran the lab she'd stumbled into would forgive her the intrusion, especially if she mostly kept her hands to herself and didn't break or disturb anything. It had been a long two-day trip down to the beaches with some of her adult colleagues after some nature bloggers had caught sight of a spoon-billed sandpiper milling about out of season. Hours spent combing the coastline and they'd finally found and tagged it, and in absence of any other sightings, it had been decided that Rio would bring it back to her lab for a few days until it could be decided where to send it to help a breeding program.
The poor baby seemed a little malnourished and small, to the point where Rio didn't feel comfortable administering a sedative. That, combined with the long hours she'd been out, however, meant that the bird had slipped out of her grasp and flown off through campus as soon as she'd arrived. Rio had really been looking forward to building a pillow fort in her room, settling down, and binging some seasonal anime, but it was of vital importance that she find the little birdie first.
Which, brought her to the dark lab connected to a garage that had been left with just enough of an open door for a small bird to fly in. "It's okay," Rio cooed, interspersing her words with clicks from pursed lips, her best impression of its contact call. "I'm gonna take care of you, so there's no need to hide." With a small flashlight to guide her, she finally caught sight of the bird, sitting dangerously close to some gears inside a half-disassembled (or, reassembled?) machine.
With a slight squeak, she quickly reached in and gathered it up, an instinctive response with no thought for how one mistake or inopportune activation could have been really dangerous. Only a moment after, as she turned to leave, did the lights come on and the girl tense up. "Sorry," she said with a weak, apologetic laugh, turning around with the bird still in hand. "This little guy got lost, so..." Ah... That was one of the third years standing by the door, wasn't it? With all the tools and machines lying around, it made sense that it would be his lab, but running on little sleep and panicked about her new little birdie buddy, she hadn't realized. "You're... Soda-senpai, right? Sorry, again. I didn't touch anything except what I had to get him out."

I'm not going to respond to or participate in that stupid bad lawn-raking post take because the big name blogger OP is taking the meme out of context and acting irresponsible by reposting it.
But, regarding personal initiatives like "no mow may!" Or "don't rake your lawn" or "plant pollinator gardens" and the backlash of "well why are you making this MY personal responsibility and not taking it up with big orgs."
1. Most of the organizations that develop and promote these initiatives ARE engaged in legislative and corporate levels of action. I really encourage people to dig around on the Xerces society page and interact with the original developers of these promotions before criticizing them based on a telephone game of memes and misinterpretation.
2. Changing your individual actions in a perceivable way creates investment in issues. Someone who participated in no mow may will be more invested in seeing success in pollinator initiatives at a legislative level. People who do these things don't Not Mow once then go "I've done my part! Now I can never think about this again! :)" They *are* now thinking about it and will continue to do so.
3. In order to create societal change, unfortunately, you have to start at the individual and then work up. From person, to community, to society.
4. It's not useless. It can feel like youre a drop of water fighting against a tide of change but....isnt there power in having control over the little bit you can change? Why would you deny yourself the ability to make what you can control, better? At the end of the day if it doesn't work, oh no, Youve made your backyard a healthier habitat. Damn it! Tricked by environmentalists again.
5. It gets people connected to and thinking about their homes as part of a greater ecosystem and seeing how they fit into it. And it helps shift perception of nature as "icky. Outside. Pests. Problem." To something we're a part of and worth encouraging.
Non-profit environmentalist organizations aren't trying to distract you from big issues by promoting these initiatives. Or deflect responsibility onto the individual (although if Exxon is promoting No Mow May I'd roll my eyes too).
Frankly, if you're thinking about all this already you're probably not their target audience. Both "we need to enact change through legislative action and targeting big corporations" and "getting individuals involved in environmental actuals creates investment and small scale change" can be true.

And here, we have the wild Shittyness, in their natural habitat of their Tumblr blog, otherwise known as hellsite blig.
Now we explore the life of such a specimen.
Like the fellow bloggers, or as they may refer to them, mutuals, the specimen does its amount of reblogging. Whether it be a funny bit, anon asks, or them writing a small essay under a post, the specimen seems content in what's they're doing. On occasion, they will reblog one of their mutuals, aka their blorbos, posts. Either adding to the estranged shenanigans or passing their judgement on the matter. Regardless the specimen always seems welcomed by their fellow bloggers.
It's social life consist mainly of the above, or reblogs and tags. It seems to have many friends, and enjoyment of quality time, despite being on a Tumblr blog, which is a very anti-social activity.
Now, the specimen has a typical activity they enjoy doing. Overly analysing what Minecraft block people are doing in their series. Recently, the specimen seems to be focused on a series known as Monarch Version 2, though it's also has and interest in series of hermitcrabs and time travelling evolvers. A fascinating combination of entertainment. And one I enjoy myself.
Now we look into their diet. We have little Intel but we have concluded the specimen is mainly plant based, with it's knowledge and experience of plant munching. And while this may frighten other specimens, it seems to fine joy in it.
Overall the specimen is a brilliant person that brings happiness in many other lives. A funky scrimblo.
A fascinating being that require more investigation.
first off I read this entire thing in the pearlescent moon documentary voice
second off I had to hold back a laugh because I don’t want my sisters asking questions
third off I absolutely loved this thank you very much

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - The recent fashion trend in Malaysia has taken a surprising turn, with trapezoid-shaped clothing becoming the new must-have item. This unique style has caught the attention of fashion enthusiasts and wildlife conservationists alike, as it pays homage to the country’s native animal, the thylacine, which has been extinct for over 80 years.
The trapezoid shape, also known as the obi style, originated from Japanese traditional clothing, which features a sash tied at the waist to accentuate the figure. However, in the Malaysian fashion scene, this style has taken on a new twist, with the trapezoid shape mimicking the body shape of the thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian tiger.
The thylacine, with its unique stripes and pouch-like abdomen, was once a common sight in the forests of Malaysia. However, due to excessive hunting and habitat destruction, this iconic animal was declared extinct in 1936. The rise of the trapezoid fashion trend has reignited interest in this lost species and has become a way to celebrate its legacy.
Fashion designers in Malaysia have taken inspiration from the thylacine’s physical appearance and incorporated it into their designs. The resulting trapezoid-shaped dresses, tops, and skirts feature bold stripes, pouch-like details, and even the animal’s signature tail. The clothing is not only a tribute to the thylacine, but also a symbol of the country’s rich biodiversity and its commitment to the conservation of endangered species.
The trapezoid trend has gained popularity among local celebrities and influencers, who have been spotted donning these unique pieces at events and on social media. The trend has also gained international attention, with fashion magazines and bloggers raving about the “Malaysian trapezoid fashion craze”. It has become a signature style that represents the country's distinct fashion sense and cultural heritage.
But more than just a fashion statement, the trapezoid trend has also sparked conversations about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. The use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials in creating these clothing pieces has become a focal point for designers and consumers alike. The trend has become a vehicle for raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting ethical fashion practices.
As the trapezoid trend continues to gain traction in the fashion world, it serves as a reminder of the thylacine’s legacy, and the impact of human actions on the natural world. By embracing this unique fashion trend, Malaysians are not only making a bold fashion statement, but also showing their commitment to protecting their country’s rich heritage and biodiversity.

The Eco-Friendly Road Trip: How Solar Power is Changing the RV Experience
The quintessential road trip is evolving. Today's RV enthusiasts are embracing the freedom of the open road and committing to a more sustainable lifestyle. The key player in this green revolution? Solar power. RV owners now also integrate solar panels to maintain RV batteries.
Let's dive into how solar energy transforms the RV experience, making it more eco-friendly and contributing significantly to sustainable travel.
Harnessing the Sun: The Core of Eco-Friendly RVing
Solar power, at its essence, is about harnessing the energy of the sun - a clean, inexhaustible, and renewable energy source. This shift from traditional power sources to solar energy in RVs brings several environmental benefits:
Reducing Carbon Footprint: Traditional RV power sources, like gasoline or diesel generators, emit carbon dioxide and other harmful pollutants. Solar power, in contrast, produces energy without any direct emissions, significantly reducing the environmental footprint of your travels.
Decreasing Fossil Fuel Dependence: RV travelers reduce their reliance on fossil fuels by using solar panels. This conserves these non-renewable resources and minimizes the environmental damage associated with their extraction and processing.
Quieter and Cleaner Campsites: Solar-powered RVs contribute to a quieter, more serene camping experience, free from the noise and fumes of generators. This is a plus for humans and wildlife, reducing the disturbance in their natural habitat.
A Sustainable Lifestyle on Wheels
Solar power enables a more sustainable lifestyle for RV enthusiasts:
Energy Independence: Solar power provides energy independence, allowing travelers to explore off-grid locations without worrying about power hookups. This freedom encourages a deeper appreciation and connection with nature.
Long-term Sustainability: Solar panels have a long lifespan, often over 25 years, making them a sustainable investment. They require minimal maintenance, further reducing the environmental impact over their lifetime.
Reducing Waste: Utilizing solar panels to maintain RV batteries health reduces waste. It decreases the need for disposable batteries and lessens the wear on the vehicle’s alternator.
The Ripple Effect: Inspiring a Community
The adoption of solar power in the RV community has a broader impact:
Educational Impact: Solar-powered RVs often become a talking point in campgrounds and RV parks, serving as an educational tool for others interested in sustainable travel.
Influencing Manufacturers: As demand for solar-equipped RVs grows, manufacturers are increasingly designing RVs with solar power in mind. This shift could lead to more sustainable practices in the RV industry as a whole.
Encouraging Conservation: By using solar power, RV travelers often become more aware of their energy consumption, leading to more conservation-minded behaviors, such as reducing water usage and minimizing waste.
A Brighter, Greener Future
Solar power is more than just an energy source for the modern RV traveler. It's a commitment to a greener, more sustainable way of life. As we journey through breathtaking landscapes and pristine natural environments, adding solar panels allows us to minimize our ecological impact and preserve these wonders for future generations.
The eco-friendly road trip is not a distant dream but a reality, thanks to the sun's power. It’s a journey where each mile traveled is a step towards a more sustainable and harmonious relationship with our planet. So, as you plan your next RV adventure, consider the incredible impact of going solar – for the environment, yourself, and travel's future. By venturing away from tourist hotspots, you can connect with locals on a deeper level and experience authentic traditions, cuisines, and festivals.
