I also like how "known cheat" suggests that Dismas is not new meat at the Hamlet. People there know him enough to not want him gambling.
Yes! I like how this fuels the popular theory that he had something to do with Vvulf and the brigands. I also wonder how much he saw and heard of the Ancestor. He may have gone to the Hamlet only to spend his money on booze and gambling... But it would have been hard not to have heard of the Brigand Pounder incident if he were anywhere close to it at the time. Or witness what was going on at the Weald.
I think Dismas was a lot more familiar with the shit going down there than fans assume. Fics usually portray him as a fresh face who has no idea what he's getting into. But wouldn't it make sense for him to seek out redemption at the Hamlet because he knows how bad things are?

Took Elaine, Simon, Mia and Hikaru to the brigand 16-pounder fight and failed to stop the cannon from firing. Elaine, Simon and Mia dodged the cannonball, Hikaru was not so lucky but now I’m thinking... the three dodged the hit because Hikaru’s fat titties stopped the cannonball right in its tracks

Darkest Dungeon Update: I managed to finish the first quest in the Farmstead. Thanks to all the tips I got a good stragety going on. And then, I made a Medium quest in the Cove for the reward and... FORGOT TO PACK TORCHES! Yeah, the majority of this run was rather dark. I made it, but my guys were all afflicted at the end. Finally back to the Weald to beat the Brigand 16 Pounder. I finally got a team there stress free only to completely fail at the beginning. I forgot that the pounder worked differently than the cannon of the Vulff, so I ignored the Pyro... However, I managed to get out of the funk and could permastun or kill the Pyro after a while. With slow damage the pounder then fell... Three heroes were afflicted, only my PD decided to get vigorous. Love her, she really was the VIP of this battle.

I beat the first Brigand Pounder battle last night. It went very well!
My team was, from front to back:
Leper, Man-at-Arms, Jester, Vestal
Hilariously, I think the Vestal and Leper let their status as the primary Matchman stunner and damage dealer (respectively) get to their heads; they both ended up with the Egomania quirk! XD
Anyway, this first one was easy, but I've heard horror stories of entire parties getting wiped once you hit Veteren difficulty quests.
Wish me luck! XD

Let's go through Darkest Dungeon together - 6
Let’s go through Darkest Dungeon together – 6
Last time didn’t go too well. But you know, life has its ups and downs, and thankfully things weren’t a downer this time. I started out at a loss for what to do. A new boss appeared at the Weald – the Brigand Pounder – who seems to be the big boss of the faction of Normal Guys that love to cause trouble as if we’re not surrounded by worse problems. Unfortunately, it was a low tier mission and…

So this actually happened
The Highwayman missed his shot and the Arbalest didn’t manage to kill the Matchman on her own. The Brigand 12-Pounder goes off... and every single one of the 4 strong party of bastards managed to dodge the hit.
Of course the real joke is that these idiots fight a giant cannon by lining up in a neat row right in front of its business end.

I finally beat all the bosses apart form the 16-pounder cannon and I so do NOT want to deal with that thing
It’s my least favourite of the Darkest Dungeon bosses and I always have so much trouble with it. Even with it’s baby form ( 8- Pounder)
Doesn’t help that my usual strat uses an arbalest which I don’t have anymore

Last one I'm sending today otherwise I could go on forever but with Sarmenti having ADHD (which I also have which hehe) is that he will sometimes "forget" words (forget in quotations because the word is on the tip of his tounge and he *Knows* what he's thinking of). One time he forgot a word and replaced it with "rotten grape juice". The heir turned the fuck around and asked if he meant *Wine*.
His only reply
"THATS THE BITCH!"
May I also suggest:
Moving fire stick - torch
Fat gun on wheels - the Brigand Pounder
Metal tailor - the Blacksmith
Blanket person - the Antiquarian
