What made you ship it?

so I watched the first couple seasons of RWBY back when they came out because i am an RT fan first and foremost and i just,,, wasn’t feeling it? i couldn’t get over hearing voices i knew coming out of characters so i dropped it for a while. anyways i saw stuff from v7 pop up and i was like “oh they’re going full homo here?” and decided to start it up again. and oh baby lemme tell you,,, rewatching it now that i am gay and was gifted the blessing of gay goggles was an EYE OPENER. it suddenly was so clearly the best slow burn i have ever seen? the plot just WORKED and made sense and they so clearly complimented each other in the best way and ever since then i’ve just been completely invested in seeing it through because i know the payoff will be glorious

What are your favorite things about the ship?

don’t want to just reiterate my word vomit about them that i subject y’all to daily so i will say that i love how they had so many moments where the writing could have made them completely toxic and bad but didn’t? there could have been issues with yang forgiving blake too early in v6 but instead we got a whole growth and apology arc that was executed incredibly well, they could have become TOO codependent but instead we got them growing individually in v8 and maturing on their own before coming back together,,,, it’s just so good dude

also like, complimentary colours and soulmate shit is my jam so i cry eternally what that stuff comes up

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

hmmmm i don’t think so? maybe the timelines that i see them realizing their feelings for each other? like i think yang knew right at the beginning of v4 but denied it because she was so upset with blake at the time and i think blake knew around v5 when she has her conversation with sun about letting her friends protect her. her voice break on yang’s name is just too perfect not to be her choking down a confession,,, idk if this is unpopular tbh i just need people to know how devoted i am to these being their moments

also i love short hair blake and will fight to my last dying breath to defend the way it looked in v7 (IT WAS CUTE)
