Teacher’s Pet
Din Djarin x Reader
Modern Au. Teacher Reader. For fic purposes baby Yoda is Damien. When you haven’t written in months but your friend wants something specific so you had to do it to em.
Tumblr media
“This isn’t a bit much?” Abby asked, surveying the scene in front of herself. “You spent your whole day with the kids during school. Aren’t you tired?”
“A little, but why not let the kids have some fun over here. It’s nice, safe.” You went to straighten out the goodie bags and small toy boxes, making sure Damien got a green yo-yo and Alexis got her favorite unicorn stickers. “Besides, Halloween fell on Wednesday this year. I just wanted to help out the parents some by having one place they could come and leave without all the walking around.”
“Those kids are lucky to have you,” Abby decided, grabbing a handful of popcorn that was set on a table and sitting down on a chair. “Can I flirt with the local hot single dads?”
“Nope. You can’t. There’s only one and he hardly ever comes to the little events. He works out of town a lot.”
Abby sighed, wistfully, “What me and that mystery man could have had would have been special.”
“It’s a pity we’ll never get to see it.”
“...Any single moms?”
“You can’t date my kid’s parents. Next year, when they’re in first grade you can do what you want.” You heard a knock at the front door, “Well it’s time to start up this show.”
“Miss LN!” You heard a cheerful student call out, “My mommy and I are here!”
You opened the door, smiling down at the child , “Amado! Let me guess! You’re a...robot!”
He giggled happily, “No silly! I’m a Power Ranger! And you’re Ms. Frizzle!”
“I am? I didn’t even get dressed up today. This is just what I wear at home. Look! Jesse just got here.”
A couple more kids started arriving with their parents. Some parents came in full costume and others looked like they came straight from a stressful day at work. The parents rested, talking amongst themselves, while the children played games in the backyard, coming back in occasionally for food and drinks. Abby was already sat on the arm of a couch talking to Nathan’s mom. Occasionally a parent would chat you up and you’d tell them about how well their children were doing in class.
Doing a head count you noticed two kids hadn’t made it. So you made sure to put away Damien and Avery’s goodie bags in your purse to make sure you’d give them to the kids tomorrow. After an hour or so, the families started to leave. Some kids being held by their parents half asleep and others still hyped up on sugar. It was down to five kids before you heard a knock at the door again.
“Look at you! A little Yoda and Boba Fett.”
Damien surged forward to hug your leg, “Hello.”
“Hey, little man,” you answered fondly, “Who’s our Boba Fett today?”
“It’s my dad!” He pouted when his father started to take off the helmet, “You lost rock, paper, scissors. You have to keep the helmet on all night.”
You heard an amused breathy chuckle, but his father’s hands went down all the same. “I’m sorry for being late Ms. LN,” he offered a hand, “I’m Din Djarin, Damien’s father.”
You smiled shaking his hand, “It’s not any trouble Mr. Djarin. I’m glad the two of you got to make it. There’s still some food and soda if the two of you are hungry.”
“I’m sorry, I promised the little guy I’d spend Halloween with the mask on if I made it back in time.”
“I’m sure we can sneak you a couple of slices of pizza in the kitchen,” you said with a wink.
Damien had already walked off to play with some other kids. His father long forgotten in the front room.
“I am glad to finally meet you,” Din said suddenly, “Dame, speaks very highly of you and now I can see exactly why he’s so obsessed with the Magic School Bus.”
You weren’t sure if he had intended it to sound so nice, but that didn’t stop your blush. “Yeah. If it was his choice that’s all we’d watch during calm down time.”
“It drives Cara crazy,” he laughed.
“Damien is a good kid in class. Sometimes a bit rebellious.”
“Yeah, that’s my fault. I’m away so much I’m a bit of a pushover when it comes to things. Now, things are going to change a bit. Decided a desk job may be the way to go for a while. Raising the little one is top priority and two years hasn’t been enough to wrap my head around parenting.”
“Two years?” You asked curiously.
He nodded, “I adopted him. He was in a really bad spot, then I had to watch him for a week. Which went as good as you could have thought. I had never really interacted with kids beforehand and then this little guy with big brown eyes depended on me. It’s hard not to get attached.”
“Takes a big man to step up. If it’s anything to you, Damien is a pretty great kid. You’ve definitely got a knack for the parenting thing. And if you don’t tell, he’s my favorite.”
“Miss LN,” a student called out, “Come play with us!”
“Yeah!”
“Please!”
“I’m sorry Mr. Djarin, got to get going or they’ll start a riot.” Damien already ran in and started pulling you out of the house. You offered Din a small smile before leaning over to pick up Damien. “Having a nice time?”
He gave you a toothy smile before cuddling into your neck. “Yes, ma’am. Thank you.”
You pressed a kiss to the side of his head before placing the child back on to the ground. “So kids!” You clapped your hands, “What are we going to play.”
Din had watched the small scene unfold. It wouldn’t be a lie to say his heart stirred a bit at the sight of you and his son. Maybe he was just easy when it came to Damien. Honestly, he hasn’t seen many people interact with the child outside of himself and Cara, sometimes their old neighbor if he was really desperate for a baby sitter.
Maybe now that things would be calming down some, he’d see what he could find. It would be nice to try for something.
He eyed you up while you played with the kids. God you were his type, party city wig and all. Something about you just called out to him or maybe he had just seen enough of Ms. Frizzle to confuse the hell out of himself. Either way, he did find you interesting.
It didn’t take long for the last of the kids to start trickling home. Abby had already snuck up to her bedroom. That left you, Din, and Damien on the couch. Damien was eagerly eating his slice of pizza, looking between the two adults. “Papa needs a girlfriend.”
You choked on your drink, more amused than anything. “He does?”
“Mhm, tia Cara said so! She said that’s why he’s so...so...uptight?”
“That’s enough, mijo,” Din said, tugging softly on a strand of Damien’s hair.
Damien laughed, moving to sit on his dad’s lap. The child tried unsuccessfully to whisper, “Ask Ms. LN to be your girlfriend. She’s so so so nice.”
Suddenly Din was glad he had a mask hiding his blush from you. “That’s enough, Dame.”
You laughed at the interaction between the two. “You sure you don’t want anything to eat Boba?”
“What if Ms. LN asks you to be her boyfriend?”
“Damien.” Din shook his head, “I’m fine. Thank you.” Anything to get him and his matchmaker son out of the home quickly. “We have to get going soon. Cara said she wanted to give him a Halloween surprise.”
“Suit yourself, Boba. I’ll have you know this is the best pizza in the galaxy,” you said as a way to distract Damien from his current topic, “Isn’t that right?”
“Yeah!” He said over a mouthful.
Din grabbed a napkin and cleaned off the pizza sauce on the child’s mouth. “I think it’s time the two of us get going. It’s getting late and I don’t want to take up too much of your time.”
“It wasn’t any trouble. I’m glad I finally got to meet you Mr. Djarin.”
“It was a pleasure, Ms. Frizzle.” He stood, his little Yoda snuggled in his arms. “I can’t wait until we meet again. Say good bye Dame.”
The child waved at you sleepily, “Bye bye.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow okay? Don’t give your dad too much trouble,” you said, ruffling his hair softly.
“Promise.”
You lead the pair to the front door. Din walked down the path to his car as you shut the door. You took off the cheap wig, tossing it who knows where. A look at your purse made you notice Damien’s goodie bag at the top of it. Grabbing it, you rushed out the door.
Din was still putting Damien in his car seat. “There you go papas. You want your blanket?”
“Mr. Djarin,” you called out.
He startled, closing the car door quickly. “Sorry. Can I help you?” He asked, turning to look at you.
Your breath caught in your throat, finally catching a glimpse of the man in question. He had messy dark tufts of hair and a scruffy looking mustache. “I...um,” you blushed when he caught you staring, “I forgot to give Damien his candy.”
Din gave you a smile that you could’ve died for. “You’re very kind. He’s lucky to have you.”
“I try my best,” you responded, still a bit captivated by the man.
“I’ll see you soon. Oh and I’m sorry about Damien. Cara has been drilling me to get out there lately and I guess he’s been paying more attention than I gave him credit for.”
“Hey,” you raised your hands, “it’s fine. I’m used to it anyhow, my roommate, Abby, has been pushing me to date anyone she thinks is even remotely single.”
“Abby,” he pointed back to the house, “Wouldn’t happen to be the woman celebrating over there.”
You didn’t bother to look over before laughing, “Most likely yeah. Well, Mr. Djarin I-“
“Din is fine.”
“YN.”
“YN,” he tested the name out, “I like it. I mean not that my opinion mattered. It just sounds pretty...I’m going to shut up now if that’s alright with you.”
You smiled, catching the man’s blush. “I’ll see you around Din.”
Din watched you walk up the path and close the door. “I like it,” he mocked himself, “Get caught in one pretty girl’s eye and you turn into a fool.” He looked to the side, noticing the girl at the curtain still laughing at him, “Hi Abby.”
Abby waved back, turning when she heard her bedroom door open. “Are we fraternizing with the student’s parents?”
“What do you mean?”
“I saw those smiles. He even did that frustrated thing when you say something stupid.”
“Did he?” You asked, a small smile on your face.
She pointed at you, “You’re gonna fuck a student’s dad.”
“I’m not. I’m not. That’s...wrong. I’m his son’s teacher.”
“He’s hot, you’re the hot young teacher. Hell, there’s probably even that spice of an age gap. Give him a spin.”
“You just want me to jump on anyone that looks in my direction.”
“Well, most of the time yeah. But he’s actually worth it.”
You rolled your eyes and scoffed. “I’m taking a shower and going to bed.”
“That’s right, you go get ready to see that daddy,” she called out after you, “Let him know you’re the best piece he’ll see all day.”
“Goodnight, Ab.”
-
“Cara, I can’t get his teacher out of my head,” Din complained, sipping on his whiskey.
“Go for it, Mando,” she told her old partner, “You’re the worst at opening up to people. She seems to catch your eye for whatever reason. What’s the harm in it?”
“With our lives and everything... I don’t know if I could risk it. Then trying to figure out if I let her in that far. It’s hard enough juggling a kid with all this.”
Cara took a swig of her beer, “Well, you’re on call for the worst case scenario at the moment. Aren’t you? Just tell her you’re some pencil pusher.”
“She’s not even interested in me. All she is is Damien’s beautiful teacher who’s supposed to be nice. That’s all. I’ll get her out of my head soon enough.”
“If you need an edge, you could always pull out the Mando. A better personality than the current love struck puppy one you’re pulling right now.”
The pair heard the familiar shuffle of little feet roaming through the house. “Papi,” Damien said, rubbing his eyes, “can you read me a story?”
“I should get going anyway.” Cara patted his shoulder, “Tell me how it goes with the your beautiful teacher. Though it is tragic really.”
Din picked up Damien, giving her a confused look, “What is?”
“Doing what you do for a living and you can’t help but fumble when you get someone’s attention.”
-
You got dressed the next morning. Admittedly, maybe you had spruced it up a bit in hopes of seeing Din. You hoped the feeling would pass soon. Having crushes on students parents wasn’t ideal. Hell, you could lose your job over even the idea of it with how strict your boss was. Still you couldn’t help remembering his smile every so often. You knew that man longer as Boba Fett than you had as himself and he still made you feel like a hormonal teenager.
At school you got the kid’s breakfasts ready, already knowing them well enough to know who’d pick cold or hot.
“Papa, I’m hungry,” you heard Damien complain from the hall, “Look my tummy’s going grrr grrr.”
You smiled, amused as Damien rubbed his belly. “Morning,” you greeted the pair.
Damien rushed over to put his things away in his cubbyhole. “Morning Ms. LN!” He bounded over your give you a hug before dashing to his table.
“Always is an eager little guy for breakfast.”
“He really is, I honestly don’t get understand where he get it, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to run my pockets dry when he’s a teenager.” Din shook his head watching Damien open the school’s breakfast box. “Oh, here,” Din offered you the cup in his hand, “I didn’t know what you’d prefer so I took a chance with hot chocolate.”
You smiled, grabbing the cup. “That’s very kind of you, Din.” You took a sip, eyes wandering over him curiously as he looked around the room. He was wearing a nice button up and black jeans, his hair considerably neater than last night. That man hit exactly all the boxes of what you liked the more that you’d sneak glances at him.
“Okay you little gremlin,” Din said walking over to Damien, “It’s time for me to go. I really liked that pumpkin you drew.”
Damien hugged his father, pressing a syrupy kiss to his cheek. “Are you going to pick me up today?”
“We’ll see okay? I still have to straighten some things out at work.”
“Okay,” Damien responded, somewhat put out.
Din stood back up, turning to look at you. “Same time tomorrow?”
You grabbed a wet wipe and went over to clean off the syrup from his cheek. The small imperfection annoying you. You gave him a sheepish look, “I’m sorry, I’m used to the kids.”
Din put his hand over yours, eyes trained on you. “It’s okay,” that increasingly familiar blush tinted his cheeks as he took the wipe, “I should really go now.”
You nodded, “I look forward to seeing you around more often, Din.”
“I look forward to seeing you too.”
He made his exit as more of your students made it into the classroom. A strange look from Alexis’s mom didn’t seem so bad in the long run. That man was going to drive you absolutely crazy if he kept this up.
“My dad told my tia that Ms. LN was beautiful.”
You couldn’t help a small laugh when you heard his table mates let out little gasps.

Well, that went quickly...
What day is it? I’m starting to lose track of how long I’ve been here...
Well, it’s been a week since my last post, and it seems that a lot must have happened, but honestly I feel like I’ve just been cranking through a bunch of comic books.
But I do know that Friday and Saturday involved a good deal excitement, so I guess we had might as well pick up pretty much where we left off!
Last Friday was Orientation for ICB, which meant getting all of the 35-40 instructors, 10 staff members, and the 6-8 people in charge of this program together in a room to introduce us to...basically what we’d been doing all that week. Also, aside from a couple study-abroad-undergrads and my officemate and me, everyone there had probably already heard the spiel.
It was scheduled from 5p-6p with a buffett afterwards, but a bunch of the Communications people from my floor were going out to eat (again?) afterwards, so I made plans with NR. She wanted to try this Mexican restaurant in what I’ll describe as the “international district” of Beijing. Most everything around us when we got there looked like it belonged in literally every metropolitan area in the world. Every major brand you can imagine had a store. Multiple. Too many...
But the Mexican restaurant we visited is owned and managed by a Mexican expat, apparently. He even stopped by our table to ask how the food was, and let me tell you: that quesadilla was the BOMB!!! And the margarita was pretty good (not as good as MHO’C’s, though!). By the time we finished up dinner, it was kind of late, so we wondered around the shopping center, found a bookstore. You know: the usual.
Fun fact: when a store or restaurant wants to indicate to their patrons that they are getting ready to close, they play smooth jazz and turn the lights down. Like for real. Had their not been windows open to the pavilion outside with it’s hundreds of light displays, I would have been seriously concerned when the lights in the place just went out and Kenny G popped up on the speakers.
We entertained the idea of finding the cinema nearby to see Alita Battle Angel, but during the 15 minutes that we spent wondering around in search of the complex, it seemed to elude us. Plus it was getting close to that time when the subway shuts down, and I wasn’t exactly hankering for a taxi ride this early in my stay....if at all.
The next morning, I got up early to meet back up with NR at the National Museum near the Forbidden City. Now, for the most part, the stairs I get don’t bother me. But I will say, if you’re going to stair at the pasty white guy with a hard-to-describe-its-color-accurately-beard, maybe don’t do it when you’re going 15 mph on a bike, facing in the wrong direction! *sigh.....Some people’s kids...
But what really bothered me, especially at the time, was the father-of-three who straight-up filmed me on his phone from 5 feet away for a solid 6 minutes, three hallways, and two escalators! I get it, I’m funny looking. But I really think I a picture would have done just fine...
One of the things that bothered me the most about that experience was that (a) he had a shit-eating grin plastered on his face, (b) his daughters seemed rather embarrassed, (c) he filmed me with the screen aimed at me so I could watch myself on his phone, (d) there was text on the screen, and (e) it went on for a solid 6 minutes.
In hindsight, I was wearing sunglasses and a hat, in a subway system, in the morning, heading to the center of Beijing. Maybe he thought I was a celebrity? I had spoken to a Communications graduate student the other day who happens to be black, and he told me the story of how a citizen here pull out their phone with a picture of Samuel L. Jackson on it, and gestured to him as it to ask if it were him...even though SLJ is for sure at 70 years old and this kid is no more than 35. And he looks 25. #smh
Anyway, after dealing with whatever the hell that was, I got to visit the museum! They, for whatever reason, were not allowing people to bring their charging blocks into the museum (external battery that you can use to charge your cell phone and other devices on-the-go), but more surprising to me was just how many people carried one with them! At least, it was surprising until I took a moment to think about it. As I’ve mentioned before, basically every payment made in Beijing is through WeChat, which needs internet access, so I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising. You also really can’t navigate through the city with some sort of Maps app; there are just too many bus routes, train routes, terminals and stops to keep logged in your head.
As far as the museum itself goes, the gifts to China from foreign governments exhibit and the Ancient China exhibit themselves took most of the day. Also, no surprise: the gift that took up the most floor space was given by a U.S. President. I also got a refresher in 8th Grade Social Studies. Too many small countries to remember all of them, and that space made me feel somewhat moronic.
The Ancient China exhibit was exceptional, though. They broke up the last, oh...750,000 years of human-ish life in China into 8-10 separate eras, the first few cataloguing the life and evolution of Homo erectus pekinensis into Homo sapien, while the latter eras were segregated dynastically. I’ve never seen the progression of human evolution laid out in such detail! The rock tools became better rock tools, then pottery and paper, stamps, buildings and so much more! There were even ceremonial helmets that would put the Juggernaut to shame!
It was strange, though, to have all of this knowledge just beyond my fingertips both literally and figuratively. The literal sense isn’t too shocking, as I’ve been to a museum before and know not to touch the pieces, but to have placards written in a language that would take years to learn was frustrating. Fortunately, NR has a never-ending supply of patience, and she translated much of the text. She even quizzed me on several of the characters. I’ve worked out how to write “rock” for sure.
After the museum, we wondered over to a nearby mall that, honestly, puts the Mall of America to shame. No joke. This place was huge! It just kept going and going and going! There was a particular alley that has all of the “exotic foods” that you might see on The Amazing Race, which I haven’t tried yet but intend to, but the rest is mostly-outdoor shopping center. Our reason for being there was to find food (we had been in the museum for a bit over 7 hours), and then sit our fine asses down in a movie theater to watch Alita.
We found a restaurant that served food traditionally found where NR grew up. It was exceptional. And the beer just made it better. :P
The movie experience was something else entirely. I’ve gotten used to watching television and movies with subtitles so that, when people decide to talk to me, I can follow along with both bits. Or if people are just talking near me while I’m watching television, I don’t have to rewind the show. That helped a lot; the movie was still spoken in English, but there were Chinese subtitles. I recognized the Chinese character for “1″ frequently enough, but that was about it.
The movie itself was way more than I expected. I shouldn’t be surprised, given that one of the primary characters is played by Christoph Waltz. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should definitely consider it.
Also, additional fun fact: I’m thinking that most (if not all) showings of major motion pictures here are in 3D. *shrug* Side note: we’re going to see Captain Marvel tomorrow and I’M SO FREAKIN’ EXCITED!!!!
After the movie, we wandered back to the subway station and parted ways mid-subway-ride to head home. The next day I spent playing Kingdom Hearts 3 and sipping some beer in the 3rd Floor Lounge. All day. It was blissful.
This workweek has consisted of four main things: teaching responsibilities, a bit of dissertation work, trying out another one of the cafeterias on campus, and reading comic books. Oh, and beer. But that kind of goes without saying, doesn’t it? There’s a convenience store on the other side of the building in front of the Guest House that has cans of beer. You can buy them individual for 3 yuan, or roughly 45 cents. I won’t lie to you: I bought 12 of them and it didn’t cost me more than 6 bucks. And it’s really not bad, and even more convenient than the liquor store I lived by in Denver.
Anyway, as I said, I’m going to see Captain Marvel tomorrow, then to “W-Town” (originally Watertown...so glad they shortened it...) in northern Beijing, which sits at the base of part of the Great Wall. More than 20 people from ICB will be heading up to their on Saturday, so I imagine one of them will take pictures. Probably ML or S. So you’ll have those to look forward to since you know I won’t be taking any!
Oh!!! I almost forgot the biggest thing that happened this week! Actually, it might be the biggest news of my entire stay!!!
I did laundry.
And I washed my slippers. I’m not convinced that they’ve stopped smelling, but I’m holding out hope that I’ve finally figured out how to resolve an issue that I know humanity has been seriously struggling with for decades. I’m on the verge of a breakthrough, people, I swear!
Anyway, time to finish this beer, read a bit more of Scott Lynch’s Republic of Thieves (WE FINALLY FIND OUT ABOUT SABETHA!!!!), and head to bed. Big couple of days ahead...
Sláinte,
BeardyAllen
P.S. I bet you thought I was gonna forget! After class on Wednesday, I worked out how to make a phone call from here to the States to wish my Mom a Happy BIrthday. Caught her at work, and we got to chat for a good long while. It really put a nice cap on my evening, and it seemed it gave her a good start to her day. Anyway, I hope you had a great evening, found something nice at C&B and enjoyed that glass of wine you mentioned! Love you!!

Ep. 8: “The leftovers. The unchosen ones. The losers.” - Najwah

We just got back from tribal and Ryan was blindsided 3-1. I feel bad for the guy because he had no idea this was going to happen, but that' Survivor for you. I thought there'd be a merge at 13, but Jay's questions at tribal put some doubt in my mind. If it's not a merge, then I think I'm an ok spot if my tribe has to go back to tribal. I'm just praying to the Survivor ORG gods for a merge today or tomorrow.

i don't know how they did it but let's take a moment to shout out james and najwah making it through tribal! no idol needed. im so proud of them. i feel like james will gladly come back to our original alliance once we merge but najwah's commentary always leaves me feeling uneasy. no offense but like do you want to play with anyone, najwah? lol. you have to somewhat trust someone at some point in this game. i would love to work with najwah for as long as possible if she is still around after the merge but unfortunately all of the comments that have been made throughout the game will keep me from promising her anything longterm out of fear that she will run around like a crazy person at merge. also, i believe that she will be the first person to mention my name from hanuha in hopes of it becoming a big move that she could put on her resume. maola doesn't know me yet. i guess they could see me as a threat because of being picked as a captain but like i don't consider maddison a threat. lol. pedro and kalle seem to want revenge. i think it would be fun to get her out first at merge. i'm just rambling now. i'm hungry. we got the new challenge. it's some mini online games or something like that. idk. i'm not a gamer so i was like i have therapy and can't do this bye. i wonder if they think i'm making up my therapy sometimes but like if you guys have ever questioned it i promise i'm not. i have it monday, wednesday, and fridays lol. anyways, cody pedro and kalle are playing. i really only trust me and ben so like fml. hopefully pedro and kalle understand that they are playing for their lives and we win again. fingers crossed. ok i'm going to get chicken tenders. bye.

Things post tribal did not go according to plan. I would've put money on us merging tonight, but instead we have another tribe challenge. There's a small part of me that thinks Edge of Extinction is play in this season. After this challenge, we will be down to 12 people and seasons post 30 that have a 20 person cast merge at 13. I think there's a chance we do merge at 13, but the 13th person is the Edge returnee.
As far as this challenge is concerned, video games aren't my strong point. I'm not a gamer, but these games are pretty straight forward. If we have to go back to tribal I'm voting Amy. Voting out Najwah would hurt my game because it would show the rest of Hanuha that I'm not #Hanuhastrong and it would tie us back up at 6 original Hanuha and 6 original Maola. Voting out Amy gives us a 7-5 advantage heading into a potential merge, shows I'm #Hanuhastrong, and weakens Maddison who I think was the ringleader of Maola 1.0.
Najwah
Last night's tribal was interesting and actually the hardest tribal council. Ryan started a group with James and I 7 minutes after Palena was formed which already made us weary of him. He then tried to blindside me and made me believe he's blindsiding Amy and asked me about James and his previous alliance and it was just a mess. He's an awesome person and great team player but it was just too much scrambling and we all feared he'd flip flop throughout the game, which is dangerous. I'm trying not to use this space as therapy sessions lmao so I'll keep it short. Uhm, I think i have a good thing going with Amy and James. I just really hope we win this challenge, or rather, don't come last so that I can work with them going forward. Amy let me know she has a steal a vote and I told her about my fake idol and we'd like to work together. I really like these two people. A LOT. I lied in tribal when I said I didn't want to keep things Hanúha strong going forward. I can't believe I have to lie and blindside now lmao its becoming HECTIC. I'm really hoping we did enough to at least place second in this challenge. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Olivia A
I’m doing so bad at all of these games rn and I feel so bad bc I asked specifically to not sit out of this challenge. I play little phone games and stuff literally all the time and am really good at them and for some reason am just doing so so bad today. If we lose then it’s probably my fault but also my alliance of 3 is really solid rn so I’m not actually worried about getting voted off. I still feel so bad I hate this so much.

if tomorrow is the merge IMMM GONNA DIEEEEE...we won once again..cause we the baddest.....honestly how am i still alive?...LIKE HOW??....chilllleeee
Olivia A.
Okay woah I’m so happy about this win I was so nervous. I feel like we’re in a really good place going into the merge I’m excited :)
Pedro A
i was about to write my pled for help to the 3 hanuha original members..so they could keep me over kalle...but now who cares...i will throw anyone hunder the bus ....to get to that final
Cody A.
Coming into this game being the competitor that I am, I never imagined even entertaining the idea of throwing a challenge.... BUT when Ben came to me with the idea of making a big move on Zack, I’d be lying If I said I didn’t think about it.. That being said however, I didn’t throw it, but I also did not try as hard as I could have.... I’m very surprised we are not talking to Jay at tribal right now.. Moving forward though, we need Zack.. I need Zack.. If we are merging tonight it is strictly a numbers game from here. I am ready to get my hands dirty, make big moves, and WIN THIS DAMN GAME!!!

After that whole challenge experience and this entire week, I don't even know what to say. It's been a tiring experience. Being on a tribe where no one really connects is the worst. I tried telling James that the other tribes were highly competitive but for some reason he was okay with his scores? This entire week I've barely had any sleep. Even now, it's almost 5am and people are just on our tribe, OKAY with low scores? We were doomed from the beginning. The leftovers. The unchosen ones. The losers. Honestly, it messes with you psychologically too. I'm tired of scrambling and relying on tribemates to make an effort. I wanted to work with Amy but she's so difficult to get hold of/unresponsive even though we are on similar timezones. James is hellbent on keeping it Hanúha strong and really, hope he isn't playing me. My heart honestly cannot deal any betrayal so close to merge, I'd also like to just enjoy my Saturday. I deserve to be on the merge tribe. Will most likely be at the bottom ass of the tribe but I want to be in it, nonetheless. I worked for it. And right now, I'm exhausted. Annoyed. Frustrated. Fucking mad. This tribe swap has honestly been DRAINING. Everyone is too nice and meek and people just don't care about winning lol.  I hate the anxiety and sleeplessness of these past few days. I forgot what life was like before this ORG lol what did I do? I miss Leanne, still. The best person in this game. I hate it here. I just want to get to merge and be able to breathe again.

Ahhhhh I can’t believe our tribe, Maola, won the challenge by so much. I legit thought we were going to lose and didn’t have high enough scores. Aimee freaking killed it on her scores, wow. I have been telling Aimee how to buy the small perfume bottles that give you advantages and where to get coins to buy them. She used FIVE on that challenge yesterday (I wouldn’t have used all five butttt). Part of my strategy during this tribe swap has been buying/playing advantages so we don’t have to go to tribal because I still don’t know who is close to who, and the more I’m with this tribe the more I feel like they really just don’t talk to each other and there’s not much gameplay happening. Part of my strategy with convincing Aimee to buy and use advantages was also so I know how many coins she has because that can come in handy at Merge. I also wanted to give her information about the idol hunt (which I got from others— I’ve never actually idol hunted not knowing where or what I was getting) so she could trust me. I FREAKING hope tomorrow is the Merge! How awesome would it be for our original tribe to have the majority and for me to still have an idol. I feel like after this tribe swap, Cody and I will be in the best position in the game when it comes to all of our connections with people. We have our group with Zack and Ben, I feel close with James and now Aimee, and Cody feels close with Najwah. So we really are kind of in the middle and as long as people don’t find out about how close we are, we can just get all the information from others and share with each other. I guess I won’t stop posting a brick.... sorry.

welp. i think this is it. could we finally be merging tonight after tribal? or are we swapping to two tribes of 6? that would be super lame. all i know is something is happening and i'm glad because i've been so bored in this tribe. we keep winning. there's no reason to play. i need action. the third tribe that starts with a p is going to tribal again. i don't remember the name. hopefully james and najwah stay hanuha strong so we can go into the merge 7 / 5. if najwah turns she will be my #1 target. she's too dangerous for my game to allow her to run around. other than that ... we came in second during the last competition. we were so lucky. the maola tribe killed it. i wish i would have played because our teams scores were low key pathetic. the p tribe could have beat us if all their players had participated. like is kalle even playing the game? is she here? i talked to her once. i know i should reach out in case it is the merge but it almost feels pointless. i'm sure she will run back to the 3 girls in maola. pedro seems to legit want revenge for john and is open to work together. i hope he isn't lying because i truly do want to take him as far as i can. look, i know i'm talking kind of cocky but i believe in acting in the way you want things to go. i'll be a clown if i'm blindsided. i don't mind. i like clowns. however, this is the way i see it going down in my head ... - we stay hanuha strong - we get out the 3 girls from maola - we get out kalle - we take out aimee and kalle - we take out pedro and james - we then take out sarah - then we have ben cody and i at finale 3 just how we planned it it could honestly work. we just have to figure out idols and make sure no one plays them correctly. and that's where i'm at right now. wish me luck.
Aimee
http://rebloggy.com/post/gif-pokemon-cute-anime-kawaii-charmander-s01e01/106470386286 Happy dance! I’m all for keeping this tribe together. Haha I may have gone a little over board on making sure I did my best on the flash games, but you really never know what the other tribe is going to be doing or getting on these challenges. I hope this doesn’t make me look like a challenge threat if I make it to merge. Sarah has really helped me with idol hunting and finding coins and where to find the advantages. This is great trust building! Thanks Hanuha for the free coins I yoinked from one of your bags at your camp.😏 After everything that happened in the last tribe and despite me voting for her, Sarah and I have really come a long way! I truly had the wrong read on her before. She is actually now someone I am very close with and get along well! Last night after we won immunity she told me she really wants to work with me moving forward in the game! Let’s do it girl! I really enjoy talking to Grae. They seem really genuine and such a kind-hearted person. They keep giving me little messages that seem to hint at wanting to work together. I think at this point it’s unspoken but we both know we would love to. We just get along so well. I also vibe really well with Maddison and I know she could be a very good ally in the future in this game. Olivia proved she is a total team player on this tribe and listened to our advice during the immunity challenge and really stepped up her scores! I am having such a much better time on this tribe and am really enjoying myself. These relationships feel WAY more organic. I will do what I can to help keep this going! I would love to see all of us make it to merge. I’m also so so happy Najwah is still in the game after her last tribal and hopes she makes it through the next tribal!
James Hayden
We are 45 minutes away from tribal and Najwah messaged me saying Amy is ok. We were worried about her because she's been MIA over the past couple days. Per Najwah, Amy will not play her vote steal. It sounds like Amy wants out of the game and if this is what she wants, I will oblige. There's a small part of me that thinks Amy is playing us, but I don't think that's the case.
Maddison
Everyone is expecting a merge tonight, and original Maola is down in numbers. Hoping I can find cracks and worm my way in.
Pedro A
SO i told everything to zack......he seems to rule that allience....so he will 100% tell the others....and will try to take grae and maddison out...
Pedro A
Grae and Maddison just create fake alliences.so people dont write their name down....and make people feel safe... AND im here to make justice for john PERIODTTTT.... #justiceforjohn
Ben Kessler
I hope we are merging. Pedro is out for revenge against his former alliance. Zack is a threat and I need it to be known. Cody and I are hopefully solidified. If we merge, grae and maddison are apparently big threats according to Pedro. So that is fine with me. Just gotta keep making sure the people I'm closest with stay in.
Kalle N
hey I'm super high rn and I don't remember if I did this already or not so her I go. I hope we merge soon so I can vote people out that have wronged me. can't believe we won the last challenge even after I did basically nothing. ok gtg ily bye
Amy A
So this round has been tough. My Internet issues were definitely the reason my tribe lost and I wanted to quit cos I felt so terrible but I think Najwah and I can do something with my steal a vote. I’ll steal hers and vote James so no one will suspect we’re working together and then go into the merge with our little secret alliance. Bliss
Olivia A
I’m excited for merge but not sure if we’ll able to get numbers together and have a majority.
Najwah
All I know is that shit is going to hit the fan at this tribal and I'm scared as hell. Only three of us. You'd think it would be easier but it's terrifying.
Cody A
https://youtu.be/QM4CiTbrjgw
Pedro A
im scared of the merge...scared of the girls allience...scared of me being a target...for being a wild card ...and scared of maddison and graeee.....kill me at this point

Barista in Love (10/13)
Chapter 10
The days went by and you and Jae acted like nothing had happened. Hoseok had called you and you both spoke. He said he rushed everything and that you rejected him was just the cherry on top because currently he has some problems and just overreacted by drinking so much. Both of you apologized and you two decided to be good friends. Hoseok told you that there was a party Haru wanted to go to so you planed to get together as a group or at least learn how to coexist. So Jae, Haru, Hoseok and you wanted to go out on saturday.
---------------------------------------------
(Sungjin's POV)
You wander through the crowded halles of the university and search for Jae. When you finally spot him you ran over to him real quick.
"Hi. Ca-"
"No, I don't know where Haru is." Jae just walked away but you ran after him.
"That's not what I wanted to ask. I wanted to know if she's happy." Jae stopped abrupt.
"What?"
"I want to know if Haru's happy."
"I think so. I don't know. Why?"
"I just want to see her happy. Even if it's with another man." With a smile you walk away and leave a puzzled Jae behind. As you walk outside the building you see Wonpil already waiting for you.
"Hey wanna go to the mall?"
"Sure, I wanted to buy new strings for my guitar anyways."
"Nice, let's go." You took the bus to the mall through the ride you two spoke your usual nonsense and had a lot of fun. You realized that you missed those joyful times and that you forgot about your sweet best friend because of a girl. You two entered the mall and went straight to your favorit music store to look for some cd's. You both couldn't find anything and proceed with your tour. On the other side of the hall there was a store with instruments and you pull Wonpil with you. As you enter the store Wonpil instinctively goes to one of the pianos and plays a little melody. You grab one of the guitars nearby and play some matching akkords. Suddenly the owner comes up to you.
"Nice playing but you can't just randomly grab everything you want."
"Sorry Sir, we fooled around a little."
"I see that. Don't break anything boys!"
"We won't." You put the guitar in her previous spot.
"Do you have strings here?"
"Sure, follow me." You go to the frontdesk and he shows you several options. You pick one and pay.
"You wanna play a little in the arcade?"
"Oh yes great idea!" Just like two little kids you ran into the arcade.
"DDR?"
"You bet!" You played 5 rounds and you always won against Wonpil. He's good but you're better.
"Told you you can't win against me. Loser."
"You're a bad winner."
"And a worse loser." You both laughed but stopped as you hear a familiar voice who was fighting with someone else. As you peek around the corner you see Brian who catches the fist of an unknown person, who probably is the owner of the arcade.
"Oh my... let's go before he sees us." You two ran off.
"What do you think he has done to get punched?"
"I don't know and most certainly don't want to." You two ate something before you left. On your way back home you where a little absent. You starred out of the window making up your mind and sorting your thoughts. Suddenly you feel Wonpil tapping your shoulder.
"Look who just got on the bus." You looked in the direction Wonpil was pointing and saw Haru. You wanted to talk to her.. but here? You where lost in your thoughts once again. What should I do? The bus came to a halt and you watched as Haru got off. You stood up.
"We see us tomorrow Pil." You smiled and left the vehicel. You walk slowly behind Haru trying to find the right words but before you can think about any words your body already reacts by tapping on Haru's shoulder. She looks at you with a curious expression.
"Mh?" She takes out her earbuns.
"I wanted to tell you that... I like you very much." You smile fondly at her. You're nervous because she takes so long to say something but as she wants to answer you you cut her off.
"I.."
"It's ok. You don't need to say anything. It's just that I might regret it... if I don't tell you what I feel. I saw you with Brian and I just want you to be happy. Be safe on your way home." You turn around and go into the direction you came from. It's not that far to your house and the fresh air is just what you need right now. Although your heart aches you're happy and proud of yourself.
By now you're lying in your bed and before you go to sleep you ask Wonpil to meet you at the spot you always meet up.
At the next day you feel relieved and you're bubblier than the past months. The day went by pretty fast and in the evening you meet Wonpil on the bridge. He's already waiting for you. He looks at you but doesn't say anything as you approach him. As you stood next to him you two looked into the distance watching the sunset. Suddenly Wonpil holds something out to you, you grab it just to see the friend-keychain he once gave you. You must have lost it without realizing and you're happy to have it back although you haven't missed it in the first place.
"Thanks." You're almost wisphering.
"I'm glad to have you back." The sadness in his eyes stands in a contrast with the happyness in his voice and it breaks your heart. After a while in comfortable silence it got dark as the sun disappeared.
"Hey you wanna go out?"
"Mh sure why not. Do you have something particular in mind?"
"I heared there's a 90s early 2000er party today in a club nearby. You wanna go?"
"A club? You sure Pil?"
"Let's give it a try. We can always leave."
"OK. Let's go."
---------------------------------------------------
([Y/N]'s POV)
You were already ready and stood infront of the mirror checking your outfit a last time.
"Hey [Y/N] Hoseok is here. Are you coming?"
"Yes." You grab your purse and leave with Jae.
"Hey guys." You get into the car.
"Hey." Hoseok smiled wide and Haru just nodded without saying a word. Wow.. That's going to be so much fun...
"Where exactly are we going?" Now that you think about it you wanted to ask that too.
"Haru said there's a party where they play music from the 90s and early 2000ers."
"Sounds like fun, doesn't it Jae?"
"Mh.. sure." He definitly wasn't as excited as you.
"Hobi do you mind picking up someone else?"
"Someone else? I thought it's going to be just the four of us."
"Nah I asked YoungK to come with us."
"Could you please call him Brian?" You gestured Jae to shut up and he just rolled his eyes. In moments like this you realize that the things between you two weren't cleared.
"Whatever, where do I pick him up?" Haru explained the way and after 15 minutes we saw him standing at a bus stop. He quickly got into the car so we wouldn't block the traffic.
"Hi... if you had told me that it's going to be so tight on the backseat I could have taken the bus."
"To late babyboy." Brian scoffed but didn't counter. The next 20 minutes went by very slow and in total silence. Maybe that wasn't a good idea. You felt releved as you finally reached your destination. Haru and Brian walked inside while Jae and you waited for Hoseok.
"OK lady and gentleman let's have some fun!" Hoseok was very cheerful and that's exactly what this situation needs. You walked inbetween the boys and hooked your arms under. Even outside the music was pretty loud but it was bearable so you got in. You spotted Haru and Brian at the bar real quick. You join them and although Haru was annoyed you stayed for a while. You chat and drink some cocktails. All of you began to relax and even you and Haru talked a little bit. After some time you really wanted to dance. Haru and Brian didn't want to and Jae didn't dare so Hoseok and you got on the dance floor. You two danced and goofed around. But then you accidentally bump into someone really hard and stumble. The stranger catches you before you fall.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah sorry.. Sungjin?"
"Mh..? Do we know each other?" You explained him that you're a friend of Jae and heared of him.
"Oh ok. Haha I was really confused for a second."
"Sure. Are you alone?"
"No my best friend is with me."
"Wonpil?"
"OK now it get's creepy." You both laugh.
"Oh when you speek of him." Wonpil approached you.
"Hi?" He looked confused.
"You wanna come over to the bar? The others are there and we could drink something."
"Sure." Sungjin pulled Wonpil behind him because he didn't know what was going on.
"Hey guys, look who I met. Sungjin and Wonpil." Haru smiled shyly at Sungjin and turned back to her drink. Maybe the two of them actually spoke. You planed on asking him later. You ordered 8 rounds of shots and you all drank them quickly.
"Wow ok. I needed that." You laughed and loosened up a little more.
"You sure you know what you're doing [Y/N]?"
"Sure Jae." You smiled at him and he returns it.
"So back on the dance floor who's with me?" Sungjin put his hand up. You looked at Hoseok but he made a 'X' with his fingers. Seems like he needs a break. So you and Sungjin dance together. You're having fun but you have that feeling that someone is starring at you. As you turn around you're eyes met with Jae's who lookes urgently at you with dark eyes. You shiver and although he is such a cutie he can be fucking scary. A few songs later Sungjin gestures to the others and you follow him.
"Break?"
"Not for me." You order a cocktail and chuck it down like a shot.
"So who's gonna dance with me now? Jaeee?" You tried sounding super sweet but he shook his head. You pout but then feel a hand on your shoulder. It was Brian.
"I'm gonna dance with you." He winked, took your hand and dragged you along. You didn't have to look at Haru to know that she's trying to kill you with her stare but you didn't care. You just wanted to dance and nothing more. At first everything was fine but unfortunatly the following songs were very sexy and people danced very obscene around you. You tell yourself that you can't do that with Brian but the alcohol is moving your body against his and he's definitly enjoying it. You tried to be responsable and excused yourself and went for the restroom. You're lucky because there's no line and you can hide in a cabin for some minutes. When you calmed down and actualy peed you got back to the others but you couldn't believe your eyes when you saw a blonde girl sitting on Jae's lap and making out with him. Before you could interrupt them you hear Haru talking to you.
"Look the maneater is back."
"Maneater?"
"Yeah you heared right bitch."
"Wow wow wow calm down what the fuck."
"Don't play the innocent one. We all saw you grinding on YoungK and dancing close with Sungjin and before him with Hoseok."
"I WAS JUST DANCING COME ONE YOU'RE FUCKING KIDDING ME, AREN'T YOU?" You were fucking furious. Even Jae and that little bitch stopped and looked at you. That's were it escalated. You and Haru fought the alcohol wasn't helping at all. At least you  knew now why she doesn't like you. Because she's a stupid and jealous cunt. As she once again accuses you to want and fuck every man in your sight you lost it.
"I'm out I don't wanna talk to someone so freaking stupid like you. You really don't get anything, do you? You can fucking keep Brian for yourself. He's nice but not my type. I DON'T EVEN KNOW SUNGJIN so why would I fuck with him I'm not a hoe like the blonde bitch over there AND FOR FUCKS SAKE I just like your brother as a friend. I know that, he knows that, every-fucking-one seems to know that exept for you! FUCK ME, how blind are you!?" After your rage you ran into the mass of people and just got to the other end of the room and set down after getting another round of shots for yourself.
After some time Wonpil came over to you. He was totally drunk.
"Hi..."
"Hey [Y/N], can I tell you a secret? But pssssssst you can't tell ANYONE!" He giggled.
"Sure thing. Spill the tea!"
"What tea?" You rolled your eyes.
"Just tell me what you wanted to say."
"Oh yeah, almost forgot! There is this guy, his name's DoWoon and he is super sexy. He doesn't talk much and that makes him sooooo mysterious. That's totally hot!! Here I show you a picture of him." A little perplex over the fact that Wonpil seems to be gay and literally came out to you although he smoothly flirted with a girl just 5 minutes ago you stopped listening to him.
"Hey hey hey you listening? Here look, that's him. Isn't he good looking?"
"Ehm, yeah he's nice. Want a wingman?"
"Ha as if, he would never want me."
"Why do you think that?"
"Mh I don't know. Does he even like boys?"
"I don't know but it's worth a shot. You should take opportunitys and don't think too much." You thought to yourself: Maybe I should listen to my own advice more often.
"You're right I'm gonna get us some shots."
"Wait that's not what I meant..." But it was too late Wonpil already worked his way back to the bar. You shook your head. Oh my...
Wonpil was gone now for a while and you started looking for him but couldn't find him. Someone touched your arm and you thought it was Wonpil.
"Found you." Your hyped voice faided as you looked into Jae's face.
"What do you want?"
"Talk? Like what was that back there with Haru?"
"What do you mean what was that? She offended me and I had enough of her bullshit!"
"Wow you're really something!"
"I'm so- I'M WHAT!?" You couldn't believe it after everything she said Jae is on her side? You moved aways from him but he graped your arm.
"Where're you going?"
"To the toilet if I'm allowed to!" Jae just looked dumbfounded at you and let go of your arm. You lied but for know he didn't have to know that. You didn't want to go to the bathroom you went straight for the exit. As you walked outside the club you saw two shadows in an intimate hug wildly kissing. At least someone scored tonight. As you got closer because you had to pass them on your way home you glanced over and saw that it was Wonpil and Sungjin. You were a little suprised because Wonpil seemed to be head over heels over DoWoon but in the end you just wanted that sweet boy to be happy. You started walking not exactly knowing where you were going but you saw a big billboard that showed some advertations that you recognize. So you just tried to get close to that location. It was a windly night and although you're drunk you were freezing. Everywhere was light and there were people on the streets but all in all you were scared. What did you think? What if something happens? Dammit..
