櫻の園 | THE CHERRY ORCHARD (1990) dir. Shun Nakahara The annual production of The Cherry Orchard has become a firm fixture at Oka Academy – even more so this year as it marks an important anniversary for the school. Yuko, who is playing a maid, arrives at the school looking a little different – she’s had a giant perm. Yuko’s hair is less about self-expression than it is about catching the attention of a crush – not a boy, but a fellow student, Chiyoko who has the leading role in the play. Yuko keeps her crush to herself but unexpectedly bonds with delinquent student Noriko who has correctly guessed the direction of Yuko’s desires. Yuko’s hair is very much against school regulations but she figures they’ll get over it, yet, fortunately or unfortunately, Yuko’s hairdo is the least of their problems. Based on the manga of the same name. (link in title)

he wants so badly to be dead but he just can’t die. he’s indestructible. his wife’s boyfriend is a famously excellent shot so he gets into a duel with him so he can die and instead he manages to shoot the boyfriend. he would win the fight accidentally. also simply the lines ‘my face, already pale, becomes distorted by fury / i seize you by the collar with my big big hands / and i shake you from side to side / until your face shows a sufficient degree of terror’ and ‘and i don’t know what deprives me of the pleasure / of smashing your head in with this’. and then he has the audacity to say ‘i shan’t be violent, don’t be afraid’ thirty seconds later. he’s awful i love him. also he like. v heavily implies he knows his wife is fucking her brother. he’s insane he could beat the shit out of you and he would be crying just as heavily as you afterwards. love him hate him. ALSO ITS JOSH GROBAN COME ON GANG. he’s drunk he’s pissed off he’s a beast of a man he should be a tumblr guy.
