Hahaha okay rant about this amazing fanfic (you probably heard of this one already but still)

So whenever it comes to explaining and writing under my posts I just get lazy but I need to push through this cuz I need to talk

So the fanarts were made for the lmk fanfiction sunbreak, that a lot of you (probably mostly shadowpeach shippers) had read, and it is amazing, I read trough it as fast as my brain let me and as you can see it has pleasantly scratched my brain so much so that I even (attempted) to make fanart for it

Ngl if I wasn't a major pussy I would try to illustrate the whole thing or make covers for each chapter but Im unable to work on something more than 2 hours and I would want those to look good, but good looking art (if I don't mess up) takes 6 hours ughh--- annoying much---

Anyways I'm not good with literature but man is this fix a masterpiece *chefs kiss* its everything its amazing, I was unable to put it down once I started it

Okay i dont think I have the brain capacity to explain how much I worship the writer of this masterpiece @ladygreenfrisbee , so i'm just going to talk about the drawings a tad

So first picture with Red Son and MK its sort of like an au in the fic where the whole lbd plot is somehow nonexistent and after Macaque gets to his sisters domain they settle down and raise the kids together without much of an issue aside from assassinations keep happening and trying not to get in trouble with the heavens

Id like to think that Gongzhu still wouldn't let the court tailors to put any form of red or gold on MKs outfits and only allowed the yellow after when MK was old enough to declare that yellow was his favorite color, but even now she would insist on some form of purple and shadow motives to let others know who the mother is

We also got baby MK and toddler Red Son and sassy LIF and Mac

Third pic with the lion: I don't know what it was or why but I just love general Song so much--- he's a major dickhead but sgvshshsevkdididhr (actually I kinda love all the original characters in this one, from the generals to the old lady in the beginning of the book, (gosh I also wanna draw some scenes from those chapters I loved how Mac and she interacted hshsjsj))

so chapter 34 was probably my favorite so far I re read it about two more times cuz it was amazing to see Macaque being the schemer he is and try to piss of Song lol

Last picture: its a sketch/a wip or whatever (probably not going to finish it but im still putting it there cuz its somewhat decent looking)

Its the part where Wukong remembered of Macaque finally finding him and asking for him to come back to flower fruit mountain.

I tried to make Macaque look more unhinged on this one but since I didn't finish it I dont think its that noticable so fuck that but I also gave him a halo like the saints to symbolise his suffering and what not (thought it looked cool and fitting think whatever you want about it lol)

What !! I actually forgot I made this ?? Anyway, me rating Hayhay's outfits <333 Ik I'm being too judgy, so sorry for my bby :( He lowkey looks so cute and sexy in nearly everything though hehe.

First victim, dad-day-out fit. Love the cap, ditch the hood though. The hoodie AIN'T hoodying. Looks thin and droppy, not a big fan of color block too. Love the sweatpants, looks comfy, would opt for smooth grey color next time, plus points for tucking into socks and not showing off the elastic ankles. Yeezys are fine, just need to get rid of that yellow sole. 70 smash points !

Second, red-hoodie fit. As always, love the cap, it's such a 'Hayden' thing. Like the logo and the green underbrim. THIS hoodie is hoodying. Red's not my favorite, but I love how soft it looks, rolled up sleeves are chef's kiss, plus shows of them cute bracelets. Some might say tshirt peeking is messy, but it gives the outfit some character. Little bit cheeky too. These sweatpants, GODS, yes. Love Essentials. These ones in particular have a slight color tint which I like. No shoes in picture and I don't necessary enjoy how colors of hoodie and sweats go together. 85 smash points !

Third, I'll call this questionable-pants fit because what is that. Look like washed out jeans but the ankles have elastics and there is a drawstring? Not a huge fan of top too, tshirt looks like it has no hem, the neckline is odd too. I like the color though. Used to wear a lot of tartan button downs back in middle school so I have an ick for them now. Again, this one has nice colors though so that's a plus. Overall looks like the most random fit from the bottom of the drawer after doing laundry. Hat and glasses, smexy. Love that for him. Cute bracelet, just looks lonely. 60 smash points ! random slow dances at noon. with the curtains closed and a big lamp being your only source of light. its so comfortable and calming. your head laying on his shoulder as his hand stays there on your waist. both your hands intertwined as you get lost in the music playing from his phone. everything becomes quiet and suddenly its just the both of you in the world. you can only see him and he can only see you. nothing is on his mind, just you. and vice versa. you find yourself just standing there together until your legs cant handle it anymore. it always end with a nap or even a dinner date. who knows, he just loves being with his angel.

showering together, only if you're both comfortable with it ofcourse. by this i don't mean it in a sexual way like at all. he feels like its his duty to wash and scrub your hair wish the perfect amount of shampoo, and you like rub soap on each others back ㅠㅠ. then afterwards he's blow drying your hair while your taking cute little mirror selfies or putting on skincare together. this is one of the times joshua feels content. he feels more than happy when he's with you right now in moments like this. he adores it when you do his hair too. he gives you little pecks and kisses all over your face as soon as your done. loves cooking for you. he secretly took cooking classes when you guys first started dating and now he's a five star michelin (ehe). everything in him is so curious and excited for your reaction everytime he cooks a new dish. you can find him constantly looking for new recipes for you to try. expect your stomach to never have issues ever again due to his godly cooking skills. you seriously don't know how he does it, but you let it slide as long as you're getting fed. he's super satisfied when he sees you full and tired from all the food he gave you. he always reminds you to always drink water afterwards and not to move around much. and let me confirm, he definitely has the 'kiss the chef' apron. and obviously you do kiss the chef! always. ♡

so the most recent fics I’ve read on my kindle are the first two parts of the time has come today series by teen_dean (@urne-buriall on tumblr I think). and these are so good. I’ll elaborate more in my fic review but I am excited to share the cover I developed for my kindle collection because I really enjoyed going through different iterations of this cover. I’m just posting the cover I landed on for now, but I think I will share some of the other iterations which include design choices that I cut and edited at length(in another post or reblog later).

fic review: I’m not always one to love casefics, watching cases passively on screen is one thing, but I can’t always immerse myself in a case to keep interest. I’m more one for character dynamics and the dynamics here are so interesting and introspective and funny I can’t get enough.

When it comes to the characterizations the author really nails it too. They are so close to canon that when I inevitably dissociate from atmospheric chemistry seminars and start thinking about supernatural, I can’t remember if something happened in their fic or on screen. I love these characters and teen_dean obviously does too because they treat their characterization so carefully. The cover I designed references scenery and plot points related to the case part of the fic, but I wish I could have incorporated the deep and thoughtful character analysis that is part of this fic.

And the imagery, particularly the west coast imagery, is. so. good. Very rarely am ever I struck with the desire to draw imagery described in writing, but it struck me at multiple times throughout this. most noteably the cas in the orchard paragraph highlighted in one of my pics towards the end of young hearts (will it be my first castiel fan art??? I certainly hope so.) chef’s kiss.

I really thought I would take a break after finishing young hearts, but I wasn’t ready to not know what happened to teen dean and past-cas in the next fic so I’m reading the rules of have changed today now and I have no regrets.

some notes on the cover design: I’m not sure this translates to the end result, but the glowing text of the title/author/everything-else was meant to represent the flickering lights of neon signage you might see in a dive bar. The description of Schaffer’s bar at the beginning and end of the first part is rich and another example of really capturing the feeling of canon (which I should mention is something the author does really well through scenery too). I don’t think I necessarily got the colors right (I initially imagined a larger color palette), but I’m feeling pretty good about the glowing aspect of it. In a print book format, I’d like all of the red to be metallic embossed.

Its very faint, but I included the silhouette of a mountainscape with silhouettes of dark watchers watching in the background. I think you have to zoom in to see them though. So I included a zoomed in image of two of the dark watchers. See if you can spot the other two!!

The last thing I wanted to mention is that I know arimaspians are typically one-eyed (on their heads). I took a creative liberty and put an eye on the hand.

lastly, a disclaimer: I know that teen_dean already has a cover and print typeset for their fic on their page. I just wanted to add my creative twist on it for my kindle collection and wanted to share it with you all :’). I should say explicitly that this was not designed in communication with the fic author. Enid’s followers immediately flocked to her stream when the notification popped up. They were greeted with the camera pointed upwards at a beautiful glass ceiling — showcasing the dark clouds and lightning that were in the sky

The phone panned downwards and around the mansion. Dark wooden walls that created obscure corners,  tall windows that loomed; paintings of people in all black, still, yet looked as if their eyes were following you.

The comments were freaking out to what was happening to their beloved wolf as they expected a bright and cheery greeting this February 14. A greeting they always get every year

The camera flipped and Enid finally showed her face.

“So I am totally freaking out. It may not look like it, cause I am trying really hard to contain my excitement but —” she moved closer to the camera until only the upper portion of her face was in the screen “I am at my best friend's house cause she invited me to the Valentine’s ball her family always throw”

The girl doesn’t know about her  love and she plans to keep it that way. Thank the gay gods the goth doesn’t have any social media.

“Anyway as I was saying, there’s a ball in a few hours and want to see what you guys think of my top picks.”

The screen shook as Enid walked towards the guest room. The werewolf steadied the phone on the bed and the camera only showed an empty background while shuffling came from her trying on the first dress.

The top three dresses she chose were flattering. It’s not like she’s trying to make Wednesday see that she’s attractive, no.  Because she’s long accepted that Wednesday wouldn’t ever see her as more than a friend. She’s just dressing for herself, totally.

“Okay guys what do we think of outfit number 1”

patpran's matching outfits

this was originally part of a thread on twitter but i figured i should stick it here too!

over the course of bbs patpran wear some...interesting outfits, but as they get together their wardrobe is a lot more coordinated and matchy 🥰 in particular, i think brown/orange seems to be associated with their happiness and comfort; red/blue symbolizes them together; and black/white i think is a little bit more of a pat motif but in the same way that stripes are pran's—black and white stripes show up quite often for both of them.

blue is pat's color and red is pran's; however, as soon as episode 2 we see that their night clothes have swapped this:

their most iconic redgreen moments—without a doubt i know this was intentional. (and also with pran's stripe motif weaved in all of them too!):

i'm sure everyone and their (baseball) mom has pointed it out, but their color swap at the top of the roof—pran in pat's blue, pat in pran's red—remains to be iconic of them. chef's kiss:

patpran in blue and orange, which incidentally are ohm/nanon's colors (except ohm is orange and nanon is blue) in reverse! idk if this counts as matching but i wanted to point it out:

this is when we start to see both of them mingle the red and blues together equally/in the same scenes, which of course indicates that their feelings are starting to become knowingly mutual 🥰 also special note that pat's shirt does covertly make it look like it reads "your man," while he's talking to pran

this one is less matchy but instead evidence that they share clothes—because yes, the sweater pat wears at the end of ep 7 is the same one pran wears at the end of our skyy 2, which is only fitting as the scenes are parallel (patpran (almost) kissing over food and getting interrupted by pa):

the black/white/orange-brown motifs my beloveds!! it's so basic at first in episode 8—indicating the start and novelty of their relationship—but is very, very obvious in the episode 12 scenes if you look for it:

and of course we can't forget their iconic matching orange shirts in episode 8 too—this is what made me feel like orange in particular is supposed to indicate their comfort with each other:

we start really early on with patpran both in red and blue together—really symbolic in how easily they've adapted into their relationship and each other:

i also found this really interesting—pat's shirt says "SUN SUN SUN" while pran's shirt has a rainbow on it (with "radiate positivity," lol) both of which definitely go together, however subtle this matching is!

and then of course when they go to the high school. this is definitely one of the most visually standing out matching outfits between pat and pran, the red and blue and pran's tote bag and the necklace bag all blending beautifully together. pran carrying his necklace bag, a gift from pat, while pat carries pran's tote. pat in the blue and light red, and while pran is mostly wearing his red and white stripes, you can really notice in this shot how many things he has are shades of blue—shades of pat:

episode 12

we see pran in pink a lot even when pat is donning pink/red himself—so of course it makes sense for pran, in the last scene, to don some blue. also, together comes the return of the black/white/orange-brown color palette! and of course pat wearing the smiley face shirt we saw from a brief pan over in episode 1, which we know makes pat think of pran (that shot led right into the pond flashback)—it's also the same type of smiley face that was on pran's bag when he was in high school, and fits in with the rest of the smiley faces in pran's room, symbolizing that this is where pat has always belonged: with pran.

special mention to:

Dior's latest bullshit and the increase of mamianqun on my dash is encouraging me to yell excitedly about them, from the not-at-all-professional perspective of being Just Some Guy Online who thinks they're Really Neat. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

And like, first of all, THE COLORS??? Nowadays you can get mamianqun in all kinds of fabrics, colors, levels of fanciness, and even some length variations, but I'm an absolute sucker for jewel and metallic tones and holy shit do mamianqun deliver on gorgeous reds and blues and greens with golden or silver patterning, UGH, who needs literally anything else to look fabulous when wearing a mamianqun.

Second, the sheer versatility with modern fashion tastes? Wear 'em to work or dates or errands or Just Because, with traditional or modified or Western tops - it's all gorgeous! The Chinese street fashion that folks post just KILL me.

Third, their weight. They have a lovely kind of swing to their weight when you walk, especially if it's made of brocade and full-length, which settles something in my autistic sensory sensitivities. It also makes them a pleasantly warm layer!

Fourth, their construction. I'm super amateur in my sewing skills - I can do some basic tailoring, but that's about it, and I've got mad fucking respect for garment makers of any cultural background because gods know I can't do that creating-from-scratch shit (yet!). The sheer CLEVERNESS of their functionalism in allowing horseback-riding in a way that covers the legs and preserves modesty without having to go side-saddle or wiggle around trying to untangle fabric from under your ass, while also keeping it looking classy af, is just /chef's kiss. The pleating that is laid out Just So at the sides really satisfies my need to fidget with things to make them Just So, and I often find myself stimming by just running my fingers over the pleating folds, ahahaha. And, being a wrap skirt, it lets me adjust as needed for days when my delicate snowflake body is particularly sensitive to pressure, so, yay! Accessibility stuff!

January of 2020 feels like it was a lifetime ago, but here we are. Fine Line the album just came out in December and after preforming the full album twice, once in LA and once in London. Harry's back in London for award season.

The pics aren't revealed til later but H rings in the New Year in the INFAMOUS "But Daddy I Love Him" shirt <3

Later in January arrives at Radio one in a gorgeous Bode jacket carrying Gucci's Jackie purse.

But girls (gender neutral) get comfy because it's time for the Brit Awards and the look we need to talk about is this one.

LISTEN!!! The girls that get it GET IT! Because this was EVERYTHING EVERYTHING!!!

To DATE I think this is the best award show look he's ever worn, contending only with the leather suit at the Grammy. I really thought this was going to be the new style. It's sexy, it's slightly punk, it's BRIT POP references chock full!

The Mary Janes, the Brown suit with the purple sweater and blue lace color with the pearls and the HAIR! THE BRIT POP PUNK HAIR! This was *chefs kiss* I am absolutely devastated that we never got anything like her again.

Also at the Brit Awards he wears this yellow suit paired with purple necktie, and Treat People With Kindness pin. For his beautiful falling performance he wears a full lace ensemble including gloves. This night is also includes my blog name's origins.

Fine Line promo continues and Harry wears a myriad of cozy outfits.

In New York he wears a JW Anderson cardigan, later to become TikTok famous with the "Be Healthy, Eat Your Honey" shirt and Gucci jeans. Later he wears another sweater vest (staple of the FL Era,) and for NPR's Tiny Desk he wears a Gucci mohair sweater.

At the beginning of the end March 2020 Harry's shoot for Beauty Papers comes out. One of my FAVORITE editorials he's ever in.

These photos are gorgeous, camp, sexy, kind of eerie. He's photographed and directed by Casper Sejersen who I think absolutely killed it. Beauty Papers always has amazing queer camp shoots and I highly recommend paying attention to them.

The world goes into lockdown and H releases the previously recorded "Watermelon Sugar" music video "Dedicated to touching."

Most of the ensemble is Gucci but some pieces were vintage thrifted including the loose-knit tank (right.)

Harry grows out his facial hair and becomes even sexier somehow.

September 2020 Harry becomes the first man to ever be on the cover of Vogue!

Y'all I was so excited when this first came out. So imagine when I opened the magazine and saw the absolute trash outfits they put him in for it. Like literally all of these outfits are some of the worst he's ever worn. Like honey clean up! Vogue is here!

The only piece I adored from this whole shoot was the custom Bode pants. Bode has a chokehold on me and I wish Harry L would've featured more of them in this shoot.

In October of 2020...

The MV for Golden is released after being filmed in Italy and heavily features both Gucci and S.S. Daley pieces. The Eliou necklaces he covets make their first official debut in this video as well.

In November he films (released in December) this performance for iHeartRadio. He's wearing head to toe Gucci with a custom Eliou necklace. His hair and this performance is so dreamy. (Left)

He also starts filming Don't Worry Darling *crowd boos* and among his cozy on set looks this is my favorite. The pictures of him this day really made me go gaga. He wears a Free & Easy shirt paired with Elder Statesmen sweatpants and New Balance sneakers.

2021

It's 2021 baby! Harry rings in the new year by releasing the video for TPWK with Phoebe Waller Bridge

We're jumping to March 2021, I'm scared to hit pic limit again lol, with the GRAMMYS!

Harry wore three! outfits to the Grammy's where he took home his first ever Grammy for Song of the Year. All three looks were Gucci and all featured feather boas which he never wore again! Which is odd because it really seemed like it was going to be a tour staple, but wasn't!

Throughout the summer and into fall his personal style is very casual, this makes sense. We're still in a pandemic and everyone is trending to a more casual fit sense. I had to include the pink beanie because every time I remember that it's $112 I go inside. Girl I got the same one for like $10 from Forever21 5 years ago!

April/May

In April Harry stars in a Gucci campaign along with many other celebs (left,) he also attends the Brit awards in May (Right) wearing a Gucci ensemble that isn't bad but is nothing to write home about. This is the first time we see him in Gucci Gazelle sneakers which will later become a staple.

September the long awaited Love on Tour officially starts!

The tour kicks off in Las Vegas with a fun sparkly Gucci outfit, and continues with these suspender/open shirts/high waisted pants that we saw on the Fine Line cover. These outfits are underwhelming but do ultimately make sense.

Like the vamps catch the hunter near their turf and Moon wants to stop them permanently while Sun just wants to keep and befriend them? Cue Moon originally tolerating yn for his bro's sake but then accidentally catching feelings for the poor human. I know yandere vampire stuff is probably an overdone trope but it's been bugging me since i saw the cute yet creepy SCP Sun and Moon pic and the whole big scary murderbeast getting attached to a more vulnerable creature trope is one i really like.

If we were going with the second option, imagine Sun and Moon were initially worried when they realized y/n came from a long family history of vampire hunters (or idk alternatively they could've just watched a 10 min youtube tutorial and chose it as a profession) and scoped them out from the shadows.... only to realize they had utterly no idea what they were doing.

Like they'd pretend to be super dumb and killable, letting y/n believe they had the upper hand, only to escape at the last minute every time while y/n goes on some long monologue about how they were made for this or some shit kjgtivjiorjiojrtogjotr

Sun/Moon decide to keep them alive at first just cause they're fun to play with as such, being an overpowered immortal does get boring, but over time they get attached. Protective. Territorial.

Ooooo and maybe eventually they have to save their hunter from actual danger... and that's when they show their true colors :> *cue violent dismemberment of anyone tryna hurt y/n oh no*

Yes. It's none of the epic shoot hissatsu that always get all the spotlight and love from fans. THIS is my personal Eternal Blizzard sorry guys

It's always been my favourite Hissatsu, ever since I can remember liking the series, and it means so much to me as a result. Like, everything about it is SO good. I know the scene where Tenma first awakens it by heart. I tell you I teared up when he used it again in the final CS match.

The way it symbolises Tenma's wind blowing through everyone... it's kind of an embodiment of Inazuma Eleven itself to me. And the breeze of the Hissatsu itself is so pretty too!!!!

20-Favorite character design(s)

Once again I am being basic but out of the main characters I love Shindou's design so much. His hair looks so fluffy and perfect and his eyes are so beautiful. Especially in videogame cutscenes and such like, bro he looks ethereal in early GO1 (screencap very related)

For not-so-main characters, Katora's visuals are my absolute favourites.

I'm a sucker for the princess aesthetic and she's really pretty to boot!! Her clothes are probably my favourite outfit across all seasons, they made her color scheme work really nicely... she's so gorgeoust. mwah. chef kiss. love her (insert 3749 heart emojis here)

LAST but not least. For the most underrated. Bea Jou A.K.A Biju from the videogames (thanks random pic I found online for telling me the JPN name)

There's only one right answer to this and it's Kageyama Reiji.

I thought I'd be free from him after three OG seasons of torment but then he showed up in Galaxy and you know what? Whatever his subplot with Shindou was in there was real good. Unexpected but welcomed.

He wasn't even a villain but he clearly wasn't fully on our side either, and as much as I think trying to win jr. high soccer tournaments by killing kids is really NOT it, he makes the show really entertaining. Him having his 'redemption' arc via death in FFI only to come back as an absolute bastard in GCG was glorious.

I genuinely think he's a compelling chara in his own right even if most of his actions are inexcusable but. Yeah. Unfortunately I think he's very interesting.

dane is very much levi stocke. this image is the one that made me pause and do that leonardo dicaprio pointing at my screen. i mean, come on, even the poses? my heart. just gotta remove the tattoos and shave the sides of the hair and there he be. ofc this man is like the ultimate face for wattpad mafia/gang stories but still fits as our little himbo.

mona has always looked like kehlani in my head, although her body shape is very different, the face is still very much alike. especially in this image (that still makes my heart go pitter patter), and this one as well. while mona's skin tone is several shades darker and tattoos are all black and white, it's still my go-to look when thinking of her.

since angel is gender selectable, they get two face claims. for m!angel, it used to be can yaman, but it switched to michele morrone when i was on my endless pinterest scroll the other day. it all changed with this image, which quickly found me this and this. just add a bit of gray in the hair and some depth to the skin tone that's m!angel for sure.

f!angel has been monica raymund for as long as i remember. i don't know where i first caught a pic of her but since the very beginning, she's been the face for f!angel. i think this picture is the one is most associated with her now, but this and this? chef's kiss, absolute perfection. switch the eye color to more prominently hazel and add those stray gray hairs and deeper skin tone again and you got yourself f!angel.

sam was a bit trickier to put a face to since they're so particular in my mind's eye, but i'm certain rain dove gets so very close, especially if they had red hair and more freckles. this picture for example, it has the perfect facial details (minus the eyes that should be green, and the hair that should be naturally red). there's also this image, and that's as close as i've gotten to finding a suitable face claim for sam, sadly. that face with this hair (although lighter in shade) and a slew of freckles all over and they would be perfect ngl.

and thirteen... well, i can't share their face before their helmet comes off in-game lmao. would ruin the mystique! just know they're on par with the rest of the squad.

i hope this hasn't ruined anyone's conception of them!! they aren't a 100% accurate of course, since the crew has scars, freckles, tattoos, moles, all that, but now you have something to add to the names <3

Enterprise Season 4 18-finale

Episode 18

So this is the episode they were filming when they found out they were cancelled? It's almost strange to think about it now in the era of streaming when the show gets filmed in entirety before it gets released and then two weeks later, you learn it's done. I wonder how you have the motivation to still do your best when you know you're getting fired.

The intro is interesting, but doesn't hold a candle to the real one. The effects are obvious, but it does its job in showing us what the people of this earth value- might over exploration.

Episode 19

You know... this two-episode chunk has apparently been a fan favorite... but I'm guessing it's mostly nostalgia and seeing this crew in the uniforms of TOS(?). I'm not enjoying it at all. It is kinda funny seeing how colorful these sets are though.

Nice touch that it has the blaring alarm and name 'Battle Stations".

I guess they were planning to have more of these mirror-verse episodes in future seasons, though I can't believe they continued shooting and airing these episodes after hearing they were cancelled. It was complete whiplash and I didn't find that universe interesting at all. There isn't even an explanation about how or why we're returning to normal Enterprise between episodes.

Episode 20

Sometimes I think these fascist/xenophobic plotlines are too on the nose and then I remember they're from 20 years ago and then I remember that we've always had to deal with bullshit like this. Even a hundred or two hundred years ago. The only difference is which side the heroes are on and how sympathetic the villains are in the story.

I just realized every person in engineering is apparently an officer. In fact the only time I've ever heard anyone referred to by an enlisted rank was in the mirror universe? I mean... Enterprise is (supposedly) exploratory but Starfleet has some military aspect to it. Maybe it's the former-enlisted in me but how does anything get done if it's all officers? lmao

Episode 21

of course the xenophobic leader is a hypocrite who uses alien dna. it's kinda lazy tbh.

They sure do like taking huge risks with tons of lives, don't they? Good drama, bad tactics.

Archer's speech here feels like what the whole series has been building to. I'm surprised that it wasn't the finale.

Oh... I was expecting the show to go to 24. I thought we were still a couple eps from the finale. I didn't realize this effectively IS the finale.

Episode 22 (These Are The Voyages...)

It is pretty silly that they've been supposedly doing this 10 years without any change in personnel or even a promotion. Talk about no upward mobility.

Why would they mothball Enterprise after ten years of operation? The carrier Enterprise was like 50 when it was decommissioned and it basically running on duct tape and paint.

I'm wondering if I should've watched this along with TNG instead of Enterprise.

ok, I thought this holoprogram was actually historical- that he was inhabiting chef while it was on and just seeing himself do the things, but repeating what was actually said. but then he slipped up and said 'Picard' instead of 'Archer' and Travis was like 'who?' which means that was RIKER asking Hoshi if she was ever attracted to Trip. Why? WTF? Is Riker a skeeze?

Only because it's the last episode and only because Troi (sp?) said something about it being sad he doesn't know he doesn't make it do I think they might actually take Trip out. That and the weird questions Riker's been asking about him like he's trying to figure out who Trip really was.

I don't like the 'formal' uniform variant. It looks like the flight suit with a white collar.

Really? They make a big deal out of the speech and then don't even let him-- oh, I guess they're saying that the thing Picard always said was part of Archer's speech?

I don't think I understand all the vitriol about the episode, but I do think it was an inappropriate sendoff. For one, you go the whole damn series without killing anyone just to kill Tucker and then you don't even actually memorialize him. For the other, it feels more like an episode of another show (TNG) than it does about Enterprise. Not knowing the story in TNG means that this is even more apparent to me- it's not nostalgia to me, it's just someone using the show I've been watching like a voyeur.
