Dynamite Comics Launches Kickstarter for GARGOYLES Classic Comics As Part Of The Show's 30th Anniversary.
Dynamite Comics and Disney Comics are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Gargoyles with the first-ever Kickstarter campaign featuring brand new graphic novels collecting long out-of-print Gargoyles comic books.
Tumblr media
Dynamite Entertainment brought back Gargoyles as a comic series in 2022 to great acclaim. Now the publisher is crowdfunding a reprint of the classic comics based on the beloved animated series. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Dynamite is excited to offer three beautiful tomes collecting all of these previous tales for fans. The set is initially being offered on Kickstarter to reach and communicate with diverse fans of all ages directly.
“I’m honestly thrilled that these three volumes will finally give Gargoyles fans easy access to these great stories, including the canon SLG tales!” said Weisman. “I think the Dynamite Kickstarter is a great way for Gargoyles fans to get the word out and to reserve their copies. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I hope our fans don’t miss out!”
The first volume is the hotly anticipated compilation of the first-ever Gargoyles comic series from 1995. This 11-issue title was originally released by Marvel Comics and is set loosely between the first two seasons of the original TV show. The memorable first issue featured a jaw-dropping cover by artist Joe Madureira, one of the biggest superstars of the era from his work on Uncanny X-Men. The series was written by Martin Pasko (Superman) and Mort Todd.
The second and third volumes of the Gargoyles Classic Years will be an incredible treat. From 2006 to 2009, a new Gargoyles comic series was launched from SLG Publishing in association with CreatureComics — the first written by Weisman. The main series, often referred to as “Clan Building,” was joined by a companion title, Bad Guys. Issues #9-12 of Gargoyles and #5-6 of Bad Guys did not see release and were only printed in paperback collections with small print runs. They were produced at a smaller digest size and have been incredibly expensive for years on the secondary market.
The three-volume set is available in multiple variations for different kinds of fans and collectors. Each is available as either hardcover or paperback. Deluxe hardcover editions with signed tip-in pages are being offered. For the Gargoyles diehards, the most premium option will be the Gargoyles 30th Anniversary Premier Editions limited to just 1,000 copies each!
In addition to the books at the center of this celebration, the campaign will offer several add-ons for backers, including lithograph prints of Jae Lee and Amanda Conner’s covers for Dynamite’s Gargoyles #1. The most premium art piece anyone can get will be a deluxe signed and remarqued giclée print of Lee’s Gargoyles art.
In addition to the reprint of the full series, fans can get special facsimile editions of the very first issue with gold or purple foil stamping. Sketch cover options are also available, as well as commissioned original art from Lee. Plus, collector packs of variant cover sets or premium limited editions and metal covers for Dynamite’s series can be added.

Jilian Kirby, Jack Kirby's granddaughter, posted this writing by Neil Kirby (father/son respectively) in which he responds to the new Stan Lee documentary currently available to view on Disney+:
"The 13th century Islamic poet/scholar Rumi said, "The Ego is a veil between humans and God." In the Disney+ documentary bio of Stan Lee, the veil is lifted. Presented in the first person with Lee's voice providing a running narrative, it is Stan Lee's greatest tribute to himself. The literary expression of ego is the personal pronoun "I." Any decent English or Journalism teacher would admonish their students not to overuse it. So, the challenge is extended to anyone who wishes to count the number of "I's" during the 86-minute running time of Stan Lee.
I (oooops!) understand that, as a "documentary about Stan Lee," most of the narrative is in his voice, literally and figuratively. It's not any big secret that there has always been controversy over the parts that were played in the creation and success of Marvel's characters. Stan Lee had the fortunate circumstance to have access to the corporate megaphone and media, and he used these to create his own mythos as to the creation of the Marvel character pantheon. He made himself the voice of Marvel. So, for several decades he was the "only" man standing, and blessed with a long life, the last man standing (my father died in 1994). It should also be noted and is generally accepted that Stan Lee had a limited knowledge of history, mythology, or science. On the other hand, my father's knowledge of these subjects, to which I and many others can personally attest, was extensive, was extensive. Einstein summed it up better; "More the knowledge, lesser the ego. Lesser the knowledge, more the ego."
If you were to look at a list and timeline of Marvel's characters from 1960 through 1966, the period in which the vast majority of Marvel's major characters were created during Lee's tenure, you will see Lee's named as a co-creator on every character, with the exception of the Silver Surfer, solely created by my father. Are we to assume Lee had a hand in creating every Marvel character? Are we to assume that it was never the other co-creator that walked into Lee's office and said, "Stan, I have a great idea for a character!" According to Lee, it was always his idea. Lee spends a fair amount of time talking about how and why he created the Fantastic Four, with only one fleeting reference to my father. Indeed, most comics historians recognize that my father based the Fantastic Four on a 1957 comic he created for DC, "Challengers of the Unknown," even naming Ben Grimm (The Thing) after his father Benjamin, and Sue Storm after my older sister Susan.
Through the conflict between Lee and my father concerning creator credit gets glanced over with little mention, there is more attention paid to the strife between Lee and Steve Ditko, with Lee's voice proclaiming, "it was my idea*, therefore I created the character," Spiderman [sic]. In 1501, the Opera del Duomo commissioned a 26-year-old Michelangelo to sculpt a statue of David for the Cathedral of Florence - their idea, their money. The statue is called Michelangelo's David - his genius, his vision, his creativity.
I was very fortunate. My father worked at home in his Long Island basement studio we referred to as "The Dungeon," usually 14 - 16 hours a day, seven days a week. Most of the artists, writers, inkers, etc. worked at home, not in the Marvel offices as depicted in the program. Through middle and high school, I was able to stand at my father's left shoulder, peer through a cloud of cigar smoke, and witness the Marvel Universe being created. I am by no means a comics historian, but there are few, if any, that have personally seen or experienced what I have, and know the truth with first-hand knowledge.
My father retired from comic books in the early 1980's, and of course passed away in 1994. Lee had over 35 years of uncontested publicity, much, naturally, with the backing and blessing of Marvel as he boosted the Marvel brand as a side effect of boosting himself. The decades of Lee's self-promotion culminated with his cameo appearances in over 35 Marvel films starting with "X-Men" in 2000, thus cementing his status as the creator of all things Marvel to an otherwise unknowing movie audience of millions, unfamiliar with the true history of Marvel comics. My father's first screen credit didn't appear until the closing crawl at the end of the film adaptation of Iron Man in 2008**, after Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Larry Lieber. The battle for creator's rights has been around since the first inscribed Babylonian tablet. It's way past time to at least get this one chapter of literary/art history right. 'Nuff said.
Comparison of the origins for The Challengers of The Unknown and The Fantastic Four, both involving the teams coming together in an altruistic fashion after a near death experience in a plane/ship crash, as presented in Showcase #6 (1957) and The Fantastic Four #1 (1961) respectively:

*Spider-Man is a Jack Kirby concept that originated between Joe Simon and C.C. Beck named "Silver Spider." Ditko has commonly stated that it bared too much similarity to The Fly, a character Kirby previously worked on at Archie, hence the change of hands on the project to Ditko. So far the presentation page and six page story Kirby did have been hidden by Marvel, with this Ditko drawing being our closest approximate:

**Kirby is credited in X-Men (2000) under "The Producers wish to thank the following for their assistance:"

What have been some of your big inspirations/points of education* with your comic work?
*could mean learning resources but also just, good advice you got once or improvements to your workflow you figured out
Thanks for this ask!! :]
I went to the School of Visual Arts, where I majored in Cartooning! A lot of what I learned, I learned from Indie Cartoonist Jason Little and DC/Marvel Editor Joey Cavalieri, both of whom taught multiple classes I've taken (mainly fundamental stuff but there were also some extra classes with them like Jason taught my Digital Comics course and Joey taught my History of Cartooning class). I learned how to draw trees from Jason. And from reading Pogo.
I've drawn a lot of inspiration in my storytelling from both Bone and Hellboy, mostly! Both Jeff Smith and Mike Mignola are masters of pacing in comics, and if you happen to be unfamiliar with their works, I can't recommend them enough. Besides those two, the rich, moody internal monologues of Spider-Man: Blue and Spider-Man: Evolve or Die are things I often think about when it comes to dialogue writing. That and (at least when it comes to writing Rouge's dialogue) my older sister. Just, like, in general. Pay attention to how the people around you speak. It helps a ton when figuring dialogue.
Hellboy is getting mentioned again because Mignola's heavy inks are something I like to look over in order to learn from and improve myself. Hellboy, Carl Barks's Donald Duck comics, Asterix & Obelix, Will Eisner's various works, Calvin and Hobbes ALL have this beauty in their inking that can really inspire. Personally, I'd like to get a bit messier with my inking. Messy inks feel so alive. They're so visually interesting.
For colors, I highly recommend this book. I've read it and re-read it as much as possible. It may be for painters, but cartoonists can and should learn from all kinds of art forms. The works of Moebius were also mega foundational for me in learning how to color my comics. The man knew his palettes and how to not confine himself too much to what's "realistic". Speaking of painters (you may roll your eyes at this one) I'm also a fan of Frank Frazetta.
For panelling, I only have one true inspiration, and that's the work of Tess Stone. I grew up reading Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name. It changed how I viewed the limitations of panelling forever. Of course, it may be harder to find that comic these days, so here's a snippet:
Tumblr media
Basic advice: really really take your time taking in art that you like, and try to reverse-engineer how it was made in your head. Heck, even if there's art you DON'T like, overall, but has elements you DO like, you can learn from that, too!
Okay! Sorry for rambling! Now here's the thing you're actually here for:
How To Think When You Draw collection of REALLY GOOD tutorials for whatever you need, these guys helped me out a ton when I was figuring the jungle scenes early in Infested.
This Pinterest Which Has Absolutely Everything You Can Possibly Think Of For References And Inspiration Sources.
An Extremely Good Font Site That Is Used By Professionals In The Comics Industry To Letter Their Comics.
The Most Important Book Any Cartoonist Can Read
A Different Book By The Same Man About Making Comics (for free, thanks Internet Archive)
Perspective For Comic Book Artists, thanks again Internet Archive
As for workflow... Man, I wish I could give you any kinda advice on that. I'm struggling with it, myself. I guess I've got two things?
If you have multiple deadlines for, say, multiple commissions or something, or you're trying to put out a weekly comic, but you're also doing something else, break the day up into time slots for each project, and switch the moment it's time to. Keep yourself on that schedule. I'm not very good at this.
I draw pretty detailed thumbnails, so sometimes I'll skip the penciling step in comics and blow up the thumbnail to ink over that. It's faster for sure! It's not always the right solution, however.
Thanks for reading! I hope any of what I've said helps at all!

Hi Colleen,
I love seeing your work, so thank you very much for posting. I was wondering about those pieces noted as private commissions. Do you have to get permission from the owner of the piece to post them or is that even an issue? I really enjoy your blog and the "behind the scenes" info on being a professional artist. Stay well.
Hi, thank you! What a great question.
When someone buys a piece of original art like this, they are buying physical ownership, not copyright. The right of physical ownership does not mean I cannot use the art in publications, make prints of it and sell it, or anything else, unless there is a written agreement between me and the buyer conveying reproduction rights.
Since I don't own the rights to SANDMAN in the first place, I could not convey publication rights of this piece to a third party anyway.
Copyright means The Right To Copy. And it doesn't just mean one thing. There are as many copyrights as there are means to make copies. There are book publishing rights, book publishing rights by nationality, rights to print on clothing, fine art prints, electronic rights, film, etc. Each of these rights are separate copyrights and are negotiated individually.
Now for commissions based on the intellectual property of a company like Marvel and DC, some artists ( like me ) may have licensing agreements with the publishers to do art or make prints. For example, I have a limited license with DC Comics to make a small number of prints per year. But you never see me making Marvel Comics prints, because I don't have a license with them. And I am only allowed to sell prints under special circumstances. I can't open a shop and post them on my website.
Many artists do this without permission, but I don't like to push my luck. I've never done a print of IP I do not own.
While DC has no objection to me doing this commission or making a print, I can only make so many prints. And if I wanted to publish the art in a book, I would have to get separate permission for that.
I do Marvel-based commissions because I have a letter on file with Marvel telling me I can.
A commission of another company's IP is (likely) a derivative work, and while most publishers don't care if you make prints or do commissions, some care a lot. While they won't go after a fan artist, they will bring the hammer down on a pro artist, and I've seen them do it. I've had two publishers specifically forbid the creation of prints and commissions in their contracts, but I see tons of artists making prints and commissions of their IP.
So whatever.
Anyway, if a fan buys a piece of original art like this, they get the original art - not reproduction rights. And even if I sold reproduction rights, I would reserve the right to use the art for publicity and portfolio purposes, which would generally be considered fair use anyway.
A few times, clients have forbidden such use in contracts. I think that's outrageous and I don't work for these people anymore.
As a pro, I have to worry about these things because I have to respect my clients. As a fan, it's probably not a big deal because major publishers don't like to go after fans.
They will do it, but usually only if you really step over the line.
But no one gets reproduction rights when they buy a commission from me.

I'm in need of some money and I'm doing fanfic commissions for some extra cash. You can DM through twitter or here in tumblr. Here is a link to my ao3 to see some of my fics.
AO3
The limit to the fic would be 200 minimum with 3000 words max.
I will be writing:
Golden Kamuy
Transformers
Yakuza/Like a dragon
Marvel
DC Comics
Star Wars
Naruto
Trigun
With Marvel and DC cases I have extensive character knowledge so feel free to ask for any character there is a high chance I know of them. Could be just be characters or from groups like the X-men, Avengers, Green Lanterns, JLI, JSA, etc.
With Transformers the continuities I can work with are G1, Beast Wars, IDW1, Prime, RID 2015 and Earthspark.
With Yakuza I had played 1,2,3 and 7, currently playing Ishin so I can write characters from those games and settings.
I'm fine with doing oc work, I just need a good idea of what the oc is like.
Pricing (on US dollars):
$0.010 per word in any fic, so 200 would be $2, 1000 would be $10, etc.
$0.015 per word if the fic goes over the 3000 limit, so 200 extra words would be $3 extra, 500 would be $7,5 extra, etc.
Some rules:
I will not write stuff I'm uncomfortable with which be the basic no incest, pedophilia, bestiality, minor/adult relationship.
I don't have much experience with nsfw so I'm not doing those.
Self insert, also no experience there.
It can be general or ship fic.
1~2 weeks to finish the fic. I still have college and I'm looking for work so I'm doing it in my free time.
I need a good idea of what the fic is about, so the prompt needs to have the characters you want on it, basic plot and the genre you want the story to be, and what you don't want on the fic.
You can ask for the outline of the fic to be sure it is going how you want it.
Fic will be posted on AO3 under the commissioner's permission, if they don't want it to be public it's their choice.
We can discuss the fic length when starting the commission, payment is done after the fic is completed
Payment throught paypal or ko-fi.

Examples:
“He digs back into the dresser, and the clothes sink right up to his shoulders. At least it feels like that. It’s a hazy day, but they’ll manage. Eighties pop Marc can’t name plays from Steven’s record player in the living room behind them, and he tosses aside a few sweaters on Steven’s request and a pair of hole filled socks on his own. Jeans, boxers. Jake surfaces to tell them to chuck an old pair of gloves, hovering vaguely, and takes a dig at Marc’s collection of Chicago Cubs belt buckles lined up along the top shelf in the process. Marc quips back about the suffocating thickness of his pants, and Jake laughs heartily, and melts closer to front.
It’s hard, having them all so close at the same time. There’s a slight strain on Marc’s eyes and he keeps losing track of where his hands are, but it’s also warm. They’re each happy and content, and the reassurance of each other is a pressure he can stand. He wants to slap Steven when he calls black unfashionable, and he also wants to press against him like an affectionate cat, and they are blurred and strange and fuzzy.
It’s a weird place to be. It’s a lovely place to be.” (An Extraterrestrial Observing Earth)
— — —
“Everything’s buzzing, like a bass drum beating in his chest, fear rolling up the back of his throat in waves. It’s not all Marc, but he’s certainly not helping much, either.
“It’s not the end of the world if it’s not just you and me. We get along well, yeah? And this guy—”
“There is no guy.”
“And this very probable bloke is just doing his best to help.” Steven sighs aloud, hands wrapping around his mug. “Maybe he was the one in… Cairo, I think. I think something happened in Cairo.”
“Nothing happened, that’s not how this works. I’ve been at this longer than you and—”
“What? At this body?” Steven finds enough of an internal sense to scoff. “Marc, I’ve been here too. In a different way, yeah, but I’m not a bloody novice.”  ” (A Moon Knight and OC comm)
— — —
“It all happens so fast.
The resulting explosion triggers the emergency eject pods, pressurization separating them in a split second that Commander doesn’t register until it’s too late. He catches one last glimpse of Frenchie through the viewing port of his pod, eyes wide and fists slamming on the glass, before they’re being hurled in opposite directions in a haze of metal shrapnel and plasma.
And then he’s alone, the world spinning faster than he can keep up, his elbows banging against the thin inner padding of the pod as it hurtles into open space.” (10,000 Lightyears Somewhere Out In Space)
— — —
“The job is straightforward. There’s been a large, bat-like mutant picking off herd animals and townsfolk in a city just off the Salt Canyon shallows, and they’re paying a hell of a lot to get it taken care of. It’s about a mile West of the bluffs, visible from up high as soon as you get around them, nestled in the expansive ribcage of some old beast with nets and wire strung up around the perimeter and house lights twinkling from their place in the hollow marrow.
Rigel starts up conversation as they make their way down the slope, the sand giving way to coarser white dust as the dark expanse of the canyons loom ahead. Romero tunes most of it out, keeping his heels steady at his horse’s sides, eyes set ahead and scanning the skies.” (Misadventures, an OC prompt fill)
— — —
Additional full pieces can be found on my ao3, as well as under the #my fic tag linked in my tumblr bio and search tags
Info to include when commissioning this item:
1. For Original Characters/worlds
Unless I am very familiar with this OC/world, I will need some kind of informational document/bio to reference while doing work. Things to include on something like this involve name, pronouns, (if no art refs) physical description, personality, and important background knowledge required to do the requested story justice (like big life events, if they are married, if they have experienced a certain kind of trauma, if they have a nervous tic or stim, etc.). I will almost always ask clarifying questions or check for further info if I feel I need it (ex: voice quality, drink preference), but just remember you are giving me the necessary info to write your character. More information is always better for me
Preferred point of view and tense (first/second/third person, past/present). If not specified, I will default to third person, and tense will depend on what I think fits the story best.
Unless I am very familiar with this OC/world, a description/outline of the story you would like me to write, with details included to the extent you have them/want them. The less familiar I am with your character, the more specificity would be appreciated
Specific details may include information of the setting (ex: if it is set in a fantasy bar, or you have a specific idea of their house), characters reacting in a certain way (ex: at this point Larry pushes Tom back after being kissed and asks what’s wrong), what clothes or jewelry is being worn, etc. If the story is on the longer side, there will likely be more details needed. If details are not specified, they will not be mentioned, or I will make them myself based on the already provided info (ex: giving the fantasy bar drinks my own names, saying there is a couch by the door, having Larry kiss Tom back hard because he was described as a romantic). Remember, you are giving me what I am working off of, so include what you want me to include
The word count bracket you would like the story to be. Please make sure your story idea viably fits within the word count you are paying for. Example links above. If you are unsure, ask! :-)
2. For Fanfiction
The media the story will be from
The characters involved
The relationships involved
A description of the story you would like me to write, with details included to the extent you want them/have them (ex: Robin helps a hurt Batman get home)
Specific details may include character beats, interactions, or headcanons you would like me to include (ex: Batman has a scar on his neck, Batman worries about how long he’s been unconscious, Robin cracks a joke about cracking bones, Batman and Robin have watched Star Trek together in the past). Remember, you are giving me what I am working off of, so include what you want me to include
Preferred point of view and tense (first/second/third person, past/present). If not specified, I will default to third person, and tense will depend on what I think fits best.
(If applicable) The version of the character you would like me to write (ex: Bogus Journey era Bill and Ted, Batman Beyond era superbat, comics Moon Knight)
The word count bracket you would like the story to be. Please make sure your story idea viably fits within the word count you are paying for. Example links above. If you are unsure, ask! :-)
If you do not have a detailed idea for a fic, that is also ok! We can discuss things, and especially with characters I'm familiar with, I can go off very general stuff. Above info is for if you want a very specific story, so I can get you the creation you want!
Will do:
Most ships
Gen fic
Nsfw/certain kinks (further info, required details, and examples upon request)
Monsters
Horror
Tropes and AUs
Queer exploration
Reader insert (further info and required details upon request)
Ask if you have something specific!
Won’t do:
Stories focused on self harm or suicide (can be mentioned in passing, referenced, etc.)
Anything with incest, pedo, or bestiality. Includes batcest.
Kinks I am uncomfortable with or don’t feel like I will be able to do justice (ex: hard bdsm, scat, non-monster/inhuman bloodplay. you can ask!)
Ships I am uncomfortable with (sladick, khonshu x mk sys, star x david, etc. feel free to ask!)
Fandom characters I do not feel I have an adequate knowledge of. If this is the case and you would still like the story, you can follow the outlined info in the original characters section to know what to give me, along with any informational videos, articles, or other resources you think would help to delve into the character.
Anything I do not want to do! I have the right to refuse any commission
Payment method: PayPal or Ko-fi, but others will come soon
To claim a slot, contact me with your request via tumblr, instagram, or discord dms, or email me at [email protected]
After talking through your idea, I will write out a bullet pointed outline and send it to you. Payment is up front once that outline has been approved and we have have finalized that I am taking your commission (payment time can be flexible depending on situation, check with me)
You will be added to the queue, and get a message when I begin working on your commission
Estimated completion time will vary depending on word count, story type, my personal life, and your place in the queue. When I begin working on your piece, I will try to give you a time estimate for completion. This may range from a week to over a month, depending on the length of your piece, and my spoon level. This may be further impacted by irl events limiting my writing time, and if you are later in the queue it will also be longer before I get to you. I will try to be as communicative as possible, but prompt completion is not guaranteed. If you need it completed within a certain time frame, let me know!
I will check in with snippets and questions during the writing process when applicable, and you are welcome to request check ins on progress, or ask your place in the queue. If it appears there will be a significant delay with your commission once I've gotten to it, I'll let you know!
Once I have finished your commission, you will get a Google Docs link or PDF. If a different or specific form of receiving your story works better for you, let me know!
You may request up to 3 alterations once receiving your finished commission, further alterations or large changes due to something you did not specify initially will require an additional charge. (Tweaks based on something you included details for and that I overlooked/forgot will not count, ex: I wrote a character’s hair as brown when it was blonde)
If you are ok with your commission being shared, I may choose to do so on my preferred sites. For fanfic: I am not allowed to mention I have been paid to create a specific fan work, especially on ao3. It will be treated and talked about as a fic request. Do not say anywhere on ao3 that you commissioned a work from me.
If you have any questions on any of this, just ask :-)

writing commissions
so originally, i was going to wait until next year to open it. new circumstances have emerged rendering it necessary to start them now. my previous work can be found here. now for the nitty gritty. all prices are in usd.
the pay scale is 10 cents a word overall, but vague word counts can be negotiated. for example, if you want a piece between 400 to 500, a flat rate of of 45 will be given or if you give a word count of 2000 to 3000, a flat rate of 250 will be given. you will not be charged extra if i go over an agreed upon word count.
please note that if you wish to go above 10k words, it is not a flat 10 cent per a word, but also an additional charge of 100 per each additional thousand past that threshold. so 1k words would be 1,100 usd, 11k words would be 1,200 usd, and so on.
we can discuss a special pricing structure if you wish to have a fic longer than 20k.
once a price is agreed upon, i will send a paypal invoice. half the payment is required before i start on your piece.
i reserve the right to reject a commission request. below the cut are a few fandoms i am familiar with enough to feel comfortable writing for, as well additional notes for commissioning me.
fandoms:
ace attorney
yugioh (duel monsters, 5ds, tcg)
superstore
doctor who
legend of zelda (a link to the past & all games featuring that link, ocarina of time, twilight princess, skyward sword, breath of the wild)
new girl
marvel (movie up to phase 3 & comic book lore)
dm if you do not see your fandom on this list and are interested. i will let you know if i'm familiar with it
will not write:
minor/adult
smut featuring minors
m+ rated gore
hurt no comfort
incest
sherry/aki
misty/aki
yusei/bruno
yusei/atem
yusei/judai
yusei/jack
yusei/crow
yusei/jack/crow
jack/crow
if you are a minor, please do not commission smut from me. as my will write is very flexible, please refer to the will not for hard limits. if you are uncertain, please dm me.

Writing ✍️ Commissions!
Baby’s First Commission page so be gentle. The only real reason I’m even making this is so I can commission other people for art. Probs will change where I use the extras for like. Stuff. But over all my commissions are for fun. So never any sweat or pressure. For the time being. I’m disabled AF after all
Tumblr media
Prices 💰
Tumblr media
10$ per 1k words
5$ for 500 of course
Extra 10$ for NSFW ((Depending on what the NSFW is does play heavily. So talk to me! : D))
For NSFW we will discuss in DM’s about such, and see if I need to toss on a extra 5 bucks if you want some elaborate stuff/Really out there stuff
CashApp For Payment!
$BellaDonnaBucks
This is currently my only form of payment, but I’m more than happy to speak about art trades/drawings for writings, or even if you have a Amazon account to just give me a Amazon gift or other types of gift cards. Alternatives exist and I’m open to discussing them!
Yes, I’ll be that one person that accepts gift cards. But, because of that, that sure makes refunds complicated and the “pay half up front” an issue. So obviously not preferred, but I need to open my branches as much as I can!
Fandoms I Write ✏️

Harry Potter Magic Awakened

I WOULD FOR THE COMMISSIONS‼️
Okay I've actually already gotten messages about it already so... 😭😭😭
So I'm thinking maybe I will do this since my artwork itself hasn't gotten any hits lately and it might help get me to write on my fics more if I get into the "zone"
I'm thinking base prices might be something like
1--1.5k Words = 15$ (USD)
2--2.5k Words = 25$ (USD)
3--3.5k Words= 35$ (USD)
I'm thinking as well about 4--4.5k Words; but I don't know if I'd be able to do it (at least not in the usual time-frames) but if I did it would probably have a bit more along the lines of 2 or more parts so if there are time skips involved it's less jarring. So that would be base priced at around 45$ (USD)
Given how time-consuming writing is for me vs drawing, timeframe would be anywhere from 2 days to 7 days until the product would be finished! (More of some sort of family emergency/drama starts up and in that case I will let you know and provide updates when I can work on them!)
And given how time-consuming writing is, there would be limited slots available.
Big thing I don't write for in both SFW and NSFW is cheating. It makes me feel gross if the main characters cheat on an established partner, but it's one thing if, say, the main character has an unfaithful partner they know is cheating and intend to break up with, or if their cheating partner breaks up with them, or if they're divorced etc (which isn't cheating I know, but still)
But if you're serious I would need to know:
If it's SFW:
Fluff, or angst, things like that
An AU; Idk much about the coffee shop thing believe it or not, but a good AU example I can write for is soulmates (For an example, you can check out my A Rose Under The Moon Moon Knight fic in my Marvel Masterlist)
I can also do poly ships (sort of, if I can get the dynamics to work, you can check out my Kuai Liang x Harumi x Reader (In my Mortal Kombat 1 Masterlist) fics (both SFW and NSFW, so be warned) Or my Conflictions Pavitr x Gayatri x Reader fic as well.
If it is NSFW: (More below the cut)
I don't write certain kinks, such as:
Watersports, hitting (with the intent to cause injuries like cuts, broken bones etc) vore/gore. I could probably name more, but if I don't feel comfortable with a certain kink I will let you know!
I can write things such as:
Yandere (for my example of a yandere character you can check out my Eccentricities Yandere!Miguel fic in my Marvel Masterlist)
Dub-con (Dubious consent) [Some fics such as these can be categorized as role-playing that was previously agreed and consented upon but is acted out in a fictional scenario by the characters involved to spice up their love/sex-lives]
Non-con (Nonconsensual) [This is a big one, if it is related to a yandere character it goes with the territory, but if not related to yandere, I really only feel comfortable unless it follows the same lines as the Dub-Con where it is a fictional scenario]
Additional details:
I would need detailed character descriptions (if it isn't a reader insert for example) or a reference image.
Summarized character history if it is an oc.
Summarized plot including start points and end points etc. (or if you want to turn me loose like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and have free roam)
What fandom it is in. (If it's one I'm not familiar with at all I may not be able to do it, because I would probably need hella research to just get the fic going and mesh well.)
Payment Method is gonna be PayPal!
If it's not a fandom I'm familiar with <- If is an AU that changes established "canon" plotlines in anime/comics/manga/tv/movies then I might be able to do it. (I would still need summaries on characters involved/what franchise/fandom they're in if it is an AU)
I need to know your age. Regardless if it's SFW/NSFW. Please have your age in your bio and stuff I can see so I know you're not a bot!!!!
If I left anything out I can discuss in DMs!

Writing Commissions
~Momentarily Closed~
I’ve been toying with the idea of writing commissions for a very long time and have finally decided to bite the bullet. :D
If you’re not interested/can’t afford right now I’d still really appreciate a reblog
SFW/NSFW all priced the same.
--Pricing--
5$ for 500 words. (500 word min)
10$ =1k
20$= 2k
30$= 3k etc
Max 10k words
Every word past 5k is discounted at 5$ every thousand words rather than 10$ (ex: 60k fic would be 55$ rather than 60 etc etc. 10k stories for 75$)
Three rounds of edits for free, anything past that I will charge an additional 3$ So please please be specific in what you want. (this does not include grammar or spell check, those will be done before I offer first edit rounds)
I do tend to be long winded however.so if my imagination runs wild I will not charge over what you asked for. Creativity is a fickle bitch.
--Limits--
I will not write adult/child incest, beastiality, non-con/rape (dub con possibly), anything with scat or vomit is a no. No graphic self harm or eating disorders. Age limit for anything nsfw is 16.
On the other hand.
--Things I will write--
Basically everything else! Furries, mpreg, crack, watersports, feet, knotting, etc etc, go for it. Go nuts. Self insert, Reader insert, OC’s, RPF, whatever fandom you so please and whatever AU you’d like!
That being said, I do have fandoms I know better than others.
Voltron, Rise of the Guardians, HTTYD, Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus, Miraculous Ladybug, Marvel (Comics & MCU), DC,  Avatar the last Airbender, Blue Exorcist, Full Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, TMNT, Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss, Harry Potter, Arcane, The Legend of Vox Machina, Encanto, Red White and Royal Blue, Carry On Series, The Magnus Archives, Good Omens.
If none of these interest you please don't hesitate to ask for other fandoms!
--My Ao3 for writing reference is here --
My asks and messaging is open, please contact me there. Final versions will be shared on Ao3, if you would like it gifted please let me know.
Payment can be accepted through Venmo and PayPal.

Opening commissions
Hello! I’ve decided to open fic and art commissions. Rather than use my old post I’d thought I would make a new one as my situations changed and I’m adding a couple more fandoms to the list. I will link my Ao3 so you can check out my writing style
Pricing starts at £7 for a 1k-2k fic and I am happy to do longer fics. If you want a follow up fic, I am happy to figure out pricing for that as well.
I am happy to do x reader fics for all types of reader as well as OC inserts or just fics for OCs however in order to get the best result communication will be needed so I can guarantee I portray your character accurately. Very happy to do trans and queer characters as a trans and queer person myself as well as poly ships as I’m also polyamorous
I am happy to write anything apart from explicit smut and anything I deem Dead Dove Do Not Eat. Of course the definition for this tag varies among people so if you have a request but aren’t sure if it fits or not do reach out and we can figure it out together! I’m very flexible. I am also happy to write triggering topics as long as it’s exploration not glorifying. If you’re unsure, ask! No judgements from me. I can also do complete fluff fics if that’s what you’re looking for! Doesn’t always have to be angsty ;)
I will write many characters in the dc comics fandom including the batfam, the Gotham rogues, the arrowfam (I can do both RHatO!Roy and Roy Harper), teen titans both new and the fab 5, and various others so do ask! Even if I haven’t read the characters comics as long as I feel I can gather their character from meta analysis I’m happy to write them
I can do criminal minds up until the end of season 6 so characters and development after those seasons will not be taken into account when writing
For stranger things I will write nearly any ship as long as it’s not DDNE and will write for all characters. The only one I struggle with is steddie as it’s just not my ship, but I’m happy to give it a try as I love both characters individually. I will only write Chrissy x Eddie platonically. I’m happy to write the characters as any head cannoned sexuality or gender identity as long as it doesn’t erase any explicit representation from the show (I.e making Robin or Will straight). Poly ships are welcome (and awesome)
For umbrella academy I can do all seasons and the first two volumes of the comics and are happy to combine aspects of both for fics. I won’t do fics focussing on any incest ships however will write fics that discuss and mention Allison x Luther as long as it’s not in a way that approves of the relationship. Luther x Sloane is fine as is Diego x Lila. I will not write fics that completely vilify Allison, despite her actions in s3 she does not deserve to be completely villanised. These are nuanced characters and will be treated as such!
Will do bbc merlin! I don’t think any extra info is needed for this one!
Can do bbc Sherlock, however, while I have a good grasp of the characters, I’m a bit fuzzy on the events from the show so will need to refresh if requested!
Will do MCU bar ms marvel and agents of shield as I haven’t seen them yet but including defenders. Once again no incest ships but happy with whatever. Also happy to write fics with comics!wanda instead of the whitewashed mcu version. (I will write that version as well as I know she’s a beloved character in her own right) can also do xmen because those movies are the best.
Much more limited in my marvel comics knowledge but can confidently do black widow, Jessica jones, Clint Barton, daredevil and Wanda. As I said with dc, will try any character as long as I feel I can gather a good understanding of them from other sources
Julie and the phantoms! Headcannons welcome but won’t change cannon sexualities such as Alex!
Newsies including 1992 movie. Make sure to specify if you want one or the other or a combination. Go crazy with head cannons (if you don’t, I will)
I will do reader inserts for all these fandoms
There may be more fandoms that I haven’t thought to list so feel free to ask!
Communication can be done by Dm, discord or email if necessary (dm to get email). All payment is to be through PayPal
Art commissions can be purchased to accompany fics. These will be simple pieces as shown in my portfolio. My style varies so clarify which you’d like and price will be based off that.
I reserve the write to reject any commission I feel uncomfortable completing!
Not all my writing is on Ao3 so if you’d like to see more please ask

GOD SORRY LMFAO
I’M SORRY I’M RUNNING BEHIND AGAIN ON OPENING COMMS.
They’ll be open...probably tomorrow morning. I’m trying to use Ko-fi’s commission form so everything is nice and neat but I’ve not done this before so its kinda confusing lol
Actually honestly its pretty clean and has lots of little add ons and stuff that make organizing things really nice but I’m not sure how things will look on your end or how they’ll look on my end when a comm comes in so if I goof something up on the first part I’m so so sorry lol
Also I know I was REALLY lowballing sketch coms before but I can’t afford, nor do I have the energy, to do 15$ commissions for sketches. So the base price for a black and white bust sketch will be 30$. Thats still really low all things considered but I want to make things ...cheap and fast and also...worth my time and energy. This is a reminder that that price is EXTREMELY low and that artists who charge a more sensible price than that are not over charging. I’m lowballing bc I’m fuckin broke lol
If that price is too high even little donations help me out in the long run so if you want you can leave a donation for as little as 3$? 6$?Just remember to leave a comment that its a donation so I know its not a request
I also have a few new rules so please be mindful of that. ↴
I’d say the most important rule is do not message me on any platform BUT ko-fi and if you commission me please check your ko-fi messages. Most likely I won’t have anything to say unless you’re sending me references. I have my DMs off on all platforms and I don’t really want to use my email unless I’m sending something to you. Ko-fi will be the only way to contact me and for me to contact you.
The other important one will be no real people. I’m sorry I feel uncomfortable drawing a real person being it you, your auntie, or an actor you like. (If its like...a live action character that’s different bc I’m just gonna make them anime anyway lol)
The other OTHER new rule will be I have to limit what I can draw from marvel. IT’LL BE IN THE POST but basically I’m still under NDA. You’re probably okay to ask for stevetony....bc they’re dead :)  (Also my crew was well aware of my ST shipping lol)   But you can dm me first to ask what is probably okay. I know i get a lot of BuckyTony which isn’t my thing but I know you guys are thirsty. But since Bucky is still in the current mcu I don’t know...if I’m allowed. Things like Billy, Tommy, Teddy....probably fine if its comic book based. Its WEIRD lol There’s a lot of grey and I just wanna be able to get hired again yknow?? lmfao Absolutely NO spider-man at all. AT ALL. I’m not risking it.
Unless you were one of my crew members then (how’d you find this account???) ....i’ll just dm you privately lol
So yea if you’re interested in MCU, since I know a lot of people originally followed me for that....you gotta let me know first before sending your comm request in...I THINK?? I don’t exactly know who gets what first on the commission thing on ko-fi.
and then the usual rules like please no gore, please no NSFW (spicy is fine but not explicit), Maximum 2 characters, try to keep them simple bc they’re sketches not fully rendered pieces, Furries are okay but not recommended (I’d rather send you to a furry artist with comms open since I’m primarily an anime artist ...more or less lol) , PLEASE be mindful of things that might make ME uncomfortable. I’m very VERY open minded and most things DON’T bother me but remember I’m not really an open NSFW artist or kink artist or anything like that. I know I can come off as really wild or loose minded (????) in terms of shipping but there’s been a few times I’ve felt really uncomfortable with comms and I just did them anyway bc I needed the money. You can always ask me ahead of time if you’re really unsure. When it comes to shipping what you might think is comfortable might make me VERY uncomfortable.
lol THIS WILL ALL BE IN THE POST SORRY TO DUMP HERE  lol but i have more text space here
So yeah I need to make a graphic and then it should be up tomorrow.

Chitauri Power Staff Soldier - CR4 Monstrous Humanoid
A technologically advanced melee soldier based on the Chitauri from the MCU.
Tumblr media
Artwork is official concept art from Marvel Universe LIVE!, by Marvel Entertainment.
This creature was created as a commission.
Chitauri are an alien species of ruthless invaders with an extreme military society.  Although capable of acting and thinking independently to some degree, all chitauri soldiers within a fleet are connected with the other members of that fleet in a massive hive mind, and are subservient to their hive queen.  If the hive queen is killed, the entire force immediately falls dead, so the hive queen typically stays far away from combat (often in a vehicle or fortress of some kind).
From a young age, most chitauri are designated as soldiers, and are given cybernetic implants and drugs which improve their physical capabilities at the cost of stunting their mental and emotional growth.  Their entire culture is dedicated to combat and conquest.
This version of the chitauri is based on their appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially the 2012 Avengers movie.  There is an alien species called the chitauri in the Marvel comics as well, but they are shapeshifting reptilian infiltrators and bear little resemblance to the chitauri from the films.
Some of the chitauri soldiers in the films had actual guns, but others used a power staff which could perform limited ranged attacks, and I used that as the inspiration for this creature’s weapon.  The fact that it’s biologically keyed to the chitauri isn’t accurate to the films (Black Widow fights with one in a deleted fight scene), but I did it for balance reasons.  Of course, if you actually want your PCs to run around with stolen technological weapons for the rest of the campaign, you can remove that aspect - a good alternative limiting factor might be that the chitauri power staff counts as an exotic weapon, and any magical enhancement treats the staff’s melee attack and ranged attack as two different weapons that have to be enhanced separately.
Chitauri Power Staff Soldier - CR 4
The dark grayish skin of this extremely muscular soldier is covered only by gold-colored metal armor that appears to be fused directly onto its skin.  It’s carrying a metal staff that’s flattened on one side, the end of which buzzes with some kind of mysterious energy.
XP 1,200 LE Medium monstrous humanoid Init +2 Senses darkvision 60 ft., hive mind; Perception +1
DEFENSE
AC 18, touch 12, flat-footed 16 (+6 armor, +2 Dex) hp 45 (6d10+12) Fort +6, Ref +7, Will +6 Defensive Abilities fused armor

STATISTICS

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Chitauri Power Staff (Ex) Once every 1d3+1 rounds, a chitauri power staff soldier can use its chitauri power staff as a ranged weapon with a range increment of 30 ft. that targets touch AC.  The power staff deals 3d6 electricity damage when used in this way.
On the round following a ranged attack, until the end of the soldier’s next turn, a chitauri power staff deals no electricity damage on melee attacks.
A chitauri power staff is a technological item that is biologically keyed to its user.  In the hands of any creature except the chitauri power staff user it was created for, it functions as a heavy mace.
Coordinate (Ex) When a chitauri power staff soldier attacks a creature in melee, allied chitauri gain a +2 insight bonus on melee attack rolls against that creature until the start of the chitauri power staff soldier’s next turn.
Fused Armor (Ex) A chitauri power staff soldier wears metal armor that is permanently fused to its body.  This fused armor cannot be removed, but can be sundered (10 hardness, 30 HP).  This fused armor counts as light armor, grants the chitauri power staff soldier a +6 armor bonus to AC, and has no armor check penalty and no maximum Dexterity bonus.  These bonuses are already included in its statistics.
Hive Mind (Ex) Chitauri are linked to a hive mind, which consists of a hive queen and a maximum number of chitauri based on the hive queen’s hit dice.  All chitauri within 50 miles of their hive queen are in constant communication with her and each other.  If one is aware of a particular danger, they all are.  A chitauri does not lose its dexterity bonus to AC against an attacker unless all chitauri from the same hive within line of sight are also denied their dexterity bonus to AC against that attacker.  A chitauri is not considered flanked unless all chitauri from the same hive within line of sight of it are also flanked.
A chitauri immediately dies if its hive queen is killed.

Looking for a LITTLE!
Year: 3rd
Major: Neurobiology
Favorite Color: Green and Pink
Favorite Snacks: Snack: Idaho Potato Fries - Beverage: Wang Lao Ji Herbal Tea
About: I'm from the super-hot n' dry suburbs of SFV (San Fernando Valley), so I am very much used to crazy cramped streets and small towns. I was in a few sports growing up, such as marching band and swim team, but I was usually found either drawing or playing video games at home. I watched a lot of anime and read a lot of manga, which inspired me to draw digital fan art and even start taking online commissions from time to time. My favorite manga of all time is Devilman, and I am currently keeping up with Chainsaw Man. However, I have spent more time playing video games than watching anime, particularly JRPGs like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, and Persona games. I've recently been playing more gacha games as well such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.
In terms of popular culture, two of my favorite TV shows of all time are "Doctor Who" and "Monk". I am also somewhat into a few comic book adaptations such as "The Boys" and "The Sandman", in addition to generally most of the Marvel Universe. I am also very much into the arts, though my experience is as limited as my wallet. I enjoy watching and listening to Broadway musicals such as Hamilton, and I especially love attending concerts ranging from classical performances based on video games ("Final Fantasy VII REMAKE Orchestra" to punk/alt-rock shows ("The Offspring"). Museums are also a nice pastime for me, especially those related to shows I’ve watched (“Studio Ghibli Exhibit at the Academy Museum”) or games I’ve played (“POKEMON X KOGEI at the Japan House”).
Last but not least, if there is ONE fact to remember about me even if you don’t wanna read anything else up there: I LOVE cats. Especially BLACK CATS. Send me pics of small ones, chonky ones, mad ones, cute ones, ANYTHING ABOUT CATS. Thank you
What are you looking for in your future Big/Little?: I am looking for a Little who just really enjoys life! They don’t have to have the exact same interests as me or even the same career path. It makes me happy to see others genuinely happy, and if I can help make that a reality for someone, then all the better. I would also particularly like a Little who enjoys learning. The learning doesn’t have to be academically-related, but rather a personal enrichment kind. Passion for learning is the sign of someone who trusts in themselves, even if they aren’t 100% sure where they want to get to in the future.
