What appears to be the earliest draft of the scene with the three girls. Found in Stoker's notes for the novel. Written on March 8, 1890 (one of the few dates for his notes we have).
I hope that if vampires are real, and I’m ever turned into one, that the garlic thing is a myth. Because I add like a metric ton of garlic to almost everything I eat.
As someone with dyslexia I have really struggled to understand several of the characters and long monologues in Dracula for over a decade. Too many words at once, too much dialect, etc.
Last years Dracula Daily helped, but mostly by you guys explaining it afterwards rather than my reading off it

Spoilers for this 125 year old novel and all, but he can just turn into a bat like in the movies. He is making a conscious decision to kick off his shoes and let his toes grasp those projections and inequalities. He did not need to move downwards with considerable speed, just as a lizard moves along a wall.
