torn between the beautiful comedy of the cousins and their- everything, and then the way Squak so clearly cares about so little other than Chirp, and the way Chirp is, like her cousin, Loves Mess, Loves Fun, deeply carefree but also. Chirp is canonically a person who gets pleasure from servicing others which is very haha nice 👉👉 but. there's something very earnest in her conduct even while she's invoking chaos and causing Problems and of course she's the one who fell in love and gave up her flight to keep them safe. And both of the cousins have been keeping up pretenses, one of compose and propriety but Chirp's real pretense went deeper, the propriety a thin veil over a love for chaos meant to cloak an earnest and self sacrificial kind of love.

And Squak's pretenses have remained simple, in some ways, about fake propriety over Mess and Resolving Mess, except the greater purpose, the greatest purpose- remains himself, and Chirp.
