What do you think about Jenny Nicholson's video about brony fandom? I wouldn't say it's outright bad but the part about "dark side of brony fandom" that I've recently watched rubbed me the wrong way in some places, like how she said that guys were homophobic because they didn't want to be seen as gay because of watching a show about colorful ponies. One of the guys said something like "you can't catch the gay by watching the show", and she showed this bit as proof for homophobia, isn't THINKING that a show can make you gay alone is homophobic? Or how she talked about "sexualizing fictional children"? All that stuff. This part of the video I don't really like...

I'm not watching that shit for the sake of my blood pressure.

All I'm going to say is that I'd like to remind you that Bronydom was at its peak in the early new tens, right before LGBT acceptance became as Mainstream as it is now (for better *and* for worse).

So like gee I dunno maybe there's a fucking REASON so many of us were so defensive that we weren't gay or sissies for liking the show.

And that reason being that before a certain pink cunt started a harassment campaign whose aftershock still echoes today with the same Parasitic RadFem Rhetoric that's infected virtually all nerd spaces today, the big group who insisted that we were all secretly pedophiles and bad people for the horrible crime of liking a cartoon pony show were Meatheaded Frat Douches whose egos were threatened by our lack of discomfort liking a girl's cartoon.

Man I love it when Self-righteous Lefties accuse you of being a bigot over something that you yourself are victimized by, don't you? It's the best! I totally don't feel bitter by years upon years of hearing the same moralizing bullshit over from people who CLAIM to be on my side, no not at all!

I love how normalized it is for Leftwingers to look at the natural defensive response people have in the face of being bullied and declare that you're a bad person for not liking being disrespected and told that you're something you factually aren't over something so ultimately trivial! It's so wonderful how these fucking people fundamentally just do not understand how being human works and will happily side with people they claim to hate if it means they have an excuse to dunk on other people they don't like or don't bow to their whims! I love it!

I especially love how people are STILL wringing their hands over pony porn while they flick their bean to smut from every single thing else THEY enjoy and refuse to leave us the fuck alone~! I was hoping I wouldn't have to make any posts about this, but I feel it necessary at this point. I know you will be reading this, Pumpkin. I'm disappointed in you.

The user @/pumpkin-frappe has been harassing and triggering me for years. The reasoning seems to stem from harassment I leveled at him as a little kid (12-13). I used to hate him, due in part to jealousy and mainly due to him shipping Tomtord (which triggers me due to my abuser having shown it to me), and my behavior was unacceptable as a whole. I have since apologized.

However, my apology was never accepted and he has since continued his campaign of harassment and disgusting behavior towards me and other people.

This is the same person who sent me borderline nsfw of my trigger ship (which he is aware triggers me because I was raped by the same person who introduced me to the ship)

He also told me to slit my throat, but unfortunately by the time I tried to take a screenshot he had deleted his account to delete these messages.

This person is 18. An adult. Who enjoys triggering minors PTSD and harassing them ??? PLUS seems to love suicide baiting and guilt tripping everybody around him (note him blaming me for his s/h and suicidal thoughts, plus mentioning his dead dog????)

Please do not harass him. Two wrongs do not make a right. I am simply posting this to call this behavior out and hopefully force him to make an apology.

When I originally tried calling him out for sending me those images of Tomtord, he threatened to kill himself. This behavior has flown under the radar for far too long.

And to Pumpkin: The way I treated you was horrible. I am aware of this. But it happened 2+ years ago at this point, and I apologized to you. For you, an 18 year old, to be behaving this way is genuinely fucking disgusting!!

Discord screenshots are SUPER easy to fake. Like so easy. You want to see a screenshot of my wife getting whitelisted for Dream SMP season 2? I have it!

Obviously in this situation the other person didn't even try to mimic Dream's typing style, but the point is that like. You gotta remember that Discord allows multiple people to have the same username, it's just that the numbers AFTER the username are different. But those numbers don't show up in things like DMs. So as long as their username is the same you can fake it.

"But ruffboi someone might notice if one of their friends or servermates changed their username!" And you're right, they might. The thing is that also, for DMs, you don't even have to change your username. My wife took that screenshot. (and yes, I gave a couple people a heart attack with my icon change, but only bc I used my actual main account)

She nicknamed me in discord. So for HER I showed up as what she nicknamed me, "Dream", but for me I still showed up as me.

AND, if you go back to older messages, they'll still turn up as whatever nickname you give them. And add on top of THAT, if they briefly change their icon for any reason to one that matches or seems to match a person you're trying to implicate, loading old messages that may be inappropriate will show the new icon AND the nickname. Like so:

Never mind that, of all things, the easiest thing to photoshop cleanly, with effort, would be the icon. It's just a circle. Clean lines. REALLY easy to screenshot and (if you're careful) replace with someone else's icon. So if you have ever gotten inappropriate messages from someone (or messages that would be inappropriate if they came from someone else), then it's... REALLY easy to fake that.

I am actually NOT, despite the person chosen in our examples, taking a stance on any specific discourse, but I do want to show that just... if you want to fake discord messages, it is actually painfully easy to do so, especially if you plan ahead date-wise or have previous messages that could work for your purpose. Don't take discord messages as unequivocal proof of fuck-all, guys. Please.

I’ve heard it may be canon so i’m probably wrong, but in my personal opinion diagnosing Gristol Malik as a delusional narcissist (at least in the clinical sense of those terms, and without further elaboration) is a fairly shallow interpretation of his character. I think it’s important to make a distinction between delusional versus deluded, and narcissistic versus entitled.

Given the vague religious imagery in his mind and the parallels to Imperial Russia, it’s very likely that the Maliks believe in the divine right of kings, meaning he’s been raised since birth to believe that he was literally chosen by God to be Gzar, and questioning that or himself would be nothing short of heresy.

The ride in his mind is explicitly filled with propaganda--which begs the question of who that propaganda is meant to influence. He doesn’t seem to be expecting visitors, but he does go through the ride himself, probably on a regular basis. And it’s not like he’s pathologically incapable of critical thought; in his mind post-game he ponders the implications of his plan’s failure, only to pause and then quickly revert to the same old i’m-the-rightful-gzar narrative right when he could have realized something. In the physical world, he sings the propaganda song to himself, maybe trying to shut down these thoughts.

Like Raz, Gristol been raised on a false narrative that’s been passed down generations--but he actively chooses to fill his own mind with propaganda rather than admit that he’s been lied to.

I've noticed a trend in these spaces. Queer spaces, but like also other ones.

A lot of people are fleeing from people who are queerphobic, which yes. Very fair. A lot of it is also very Christian though--the things they're fleeing from. At least, in these American spaces especially. Can't speak for anywhere else, I'm stuck on this sinking boat too.

They tend to leave, usually with the revelation they're queer, but that's about it. People seem to forget that Christianity isn't just this giant boogie man, it's a system of beliefs. They're all woven into a book that you're forced to read, sewn into what you're fed in church. It's not as simple as just leaving.

If you're at a church against queer people, you're probably at a church also against polyamory. If they're against polyamory, you know they're going to be against other "atypical relationships" like kink and BDSM. Remember, if they're against kink too, they probably think of sex as something only done after marriage! By the way, only do it for baby making.

There's more and more the further down the rabbit hole you fall, obviously. Beliefs that weave into each other about how a person's soul works, what sin is, and all that nonsense. I just want to highlight that particularly for a moment.

A lot of queer people realize they're queer and/or come out, and just seem to think they can no longer be queerphobic. I mean, they're queer! How could they be against themselves?

There were Jewish Nazis, there are black white supremasists, and I feel like the existence of TERFs alone should tell you that there are queerphobic queer people. It is possible. It happens.

Even if they try to address their queerphobia, it tends to never go deep enough. All this kink at pride discourse and screaming about THE CHILDREN just serves to remind me of my Evangelical grandmother. Her sitting there, afraid I Kissed A Girl would turn her daughter into a nasty, dirty lesbian. "Think of the god-forsaken children!"

The queer community is not a place you come with all that baggage. I mean, in a way it is. You should come to unlearn it. To embrace leather daddies (and mommies!) Learning to share a table with people who wear pup masks, to share a table with queers with nasty kinks. A place to adjust to the idea that relationships can look rather different--can be polyamorous or not even romantic at all. The idea that people can just do whatever, so long as no one is hurt. (Or at least, y'know. They can consent to being hurt in that way. If you catch my cold.)

A lot of baby queers (and others, it's not just the youngins and newly out, though they are terribly loud) haven't realized that. A lot of them are crawling into online spaces and trying to sanitize everything, the same way Christians wanna. I've seen queer people unite with the worst of the worst simply because they hate the same "bad" queer person, for fuck's sake.

Unlearn your bias. Trace back their roots. Look at where they interweave with other beliefs. The idea that "gays" are dirty and "trans people" are confused all tie back to the rest of their ideas on relationships. Even if you grew up atheist or something, I want you to look back on it. If you grew up in a culture like America's, Christian ideas don't have to be fed to you BY Christians.

Figure yourself out, or leave me alone.
