Cinderella Castle Dream Lights: Magic Kingdom (2007-2019)

So these were the annual holiday lights they put on the castle, and my gosh, the photos do not do them justice! They are absolutely gorgeous and just SO magical!!! They used Covid as an excuse for them not coming back after the pandemic, but now that its over, they are keeping these lame dim projections. Now, normally i like the castle projections, but NOT FOR CHRISTMAS! It cannot near compare to the absolute magic of those dream lights! It makes me so sad!

Old Cinderella Castle colors: Magic Kingdom (1971-2019)
Propaganda:
Ever since opening, the castle has always been blue and white, well in 2019, they started painting it pink and white, which is closer to the color scheme for Disneyland's sleeping beauty castle. While it is pretty to look at, it just isn't the same! The blue was just so iconic and more closely related with Cinderella anyways. Here is to hoping they change it back soon now that the 50th is over, but i highly doubt it

DISNEY+: ecco tutti i nuovi anime in arrivo appena presentati al Content Showcase 2022
Tokyo Revengers cambia casa, la Fenice di Tezuka risorge e altre novità ci attendono nel 2023 e oltre.
Considerato che a distanza di più di un anno dal precedente appuntamento, tuttora alcune delle serie annunciate in occasione dello scorso Content Showcase di Disney devono ancora cominciare ad arrivare su Disney+, fa un po' sorridere (e anche un po' piangere) che la casa di Topolino si affretti comunque a sbandierarne delle altre.
Quanto ci metterà ad imparare la stessa lezione impartita a Netflix? I fan non amano aspettare troppo, soprattutto se si parla di titoli dal grande richiamo, ma andiamo con ordine.
🔶🔸TOKYO REVENGERS: CHRISTMAS SHOWDOWN
Togliamoci subito il dente e veniamo alla prima notizia, che come per "BLEACH: THOUSAND-YEAR BLOOD WAR" penso farà mettere le mani nei capelli a diversa gente: ebbene sì, l'attesa seconda stagione dell’action supernatural drama, tratto dal celebre manga di Ken Wakui (che qua in Italia possiamo leggere grazie a J-POP Manga), sarà distribuita in esclusiva da Disney. In Asia, fra l'altro, gli episodi verranno passati in simulcast, a partire da gennaio 2023, mentre qua in Occidente non è chiaro entro quando li vedremo arrivare.
Faccio notare che la licenza in questione fa parte di un pacchetto, ottenuto tramite un rinnovato accordo con la casa editrice Kodansha, quindi prepariamoci a una guerra sempre più aperta fra i vari servizi di streaming on demand.

Disneyland gets the best in Bishop Marvin Sapp
The Disney experience has been an integral part of the lives of Bishop Marvin Sapp and his children. Sapp and his family have made annual trips to the Happiest Place on Earth for the greater part of more than two decades. The magic never gets old for the longtime minister and veteran gospel singer.
“I’m a Disney fanatic,” Sapp said during a video conference interview. “ For the last twenty-seven years, my children and I have gone to Disney World twice a year. We go every August, and we go every Christmas. And that has been our thing as a family… to the point that my daughter…she has Disney stock."

“So the fact that they thought enough of me to invite me to be a part of such an amazing event, I’m just honored. I’m just ready to get there, hit the stage, and give my very best, and hopefully, you know, people will be blessed by that which they hear, we share, ” he added.
This year, Sapp, the recipient of 24 Stellar Awards and 13 Grammy nominations, was invited to participate in the Disneyland Celebrate Gospel mega event, which features local and well-known gospel choirs.
Sapp, along with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, are the headliners as Disneyland incorporates the sound of gospel music into the theme park as part of its Black History Month homage.
Known for his gospel-tuned megahits “The Best in Me” and “Never Would Have Made It,” Sapp’s adoration for the Magic Kingdom is not about the rides. What has made the Disney touch come alive for the “My Testimony” singer is the entire ambiance of what Disney is about, he said.
“Whenever I go to Disney, I look at things different than most people go,” Sapp said. “I can count the number of rides that I’ve ridden on the last twenty-something years. But whenever they’re doing a re-model or they’re building something, they always put plaques of you know, things that Walt Disney had said or different statements. When they have their parades or when they do their shows, they always have a message that’s in there that’s positive, that talks about what you can do and what you can accomplish.”
“And honestly, as a preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you know, that environment in itself, you know…I go there just to retreat and to be around that environment and literally forecast for my future and forecast for my church’s future. So we can say that it’s a magical place. I choose to think that it’s an empowering place that gives you…For me, it ignites the fire on the inside of me that allows me to go back home and do great exploits.”
Sapp is one of the greatest gospel singers in the world. Disneyland and its guests are blessed to have this phenomenal singer and minister in their presence. The month of February is celebrated worldwide in recognition of all the contributions Black Americans have given to the United States and worldwide.
From slavery to the Reconstruction era to Jim Crow to today, at the core of the existence of the Black American experience has been the gift to sing our hearts out. My grandmother and mother used to sing those old hymns around the house all week and on Sunday mornings when we attended church.
The sounds of gospel stalwarts like Mahalia Jackson, The Jackson Southernaires, Rev. James Cleveland, Gospel Keynotes, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Dorothy Love Coates and The Gospel Harmonettes, Shirley Caesar, and Sam Cooke resonated throughout my house as I grew up. It was always present. You could not escape it.

That generation of gospel music gave way to individuals like Sapp, Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Andre Crouch, The Winans, Donald Lawrence, Fred Hammond and Commissioned, and John P. Kee and The New Life Community Choir. Today’s gospel music has shifted to a more Hosanna sound that features more praise and worship.
Sapp and Cobbs Leonard are both throwbacks to an era of gospel music that this writer grew up with whereas the more contemporary sounds of William McDowell and Tye Tribbett are ushering this tradition into the future. The genre of gospel music may have shifted, but the tie-in to Black History Month is one of the same, said Sapp.
“Gospel music is Black history,” Sapp remarked. “That’s just fact. You know, even when you go back to the time, you know, of individuals in slavery. The songs that they sung, from Harriet Tubman until now, it was a call. There was a response. It was a message of hope and help. And I think that, you know, gospel music still is that. It’s the good news of Jesus Christ, but it’s also a message of help. It’s also a message of hope that says that no matter how difficult or challenging life may seem to be, that there is a way out. And that way out may not always be physical, but it’s definitely spiritual.”

9 Merry Must-Dos at 2023’s EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
We’re continuing our holiday fun this week with a special look at some can’t miss experiences at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth.
This popular EPCOT festival is a celebration of the holidays like none other - packed with dazzling live entertainment like the popular Candlelight Processional and Holiday Storytellers along with delicious seasonal treats, family-friendly activities and more.
Today, we’ve got nine popular things you need to do before the festivities end on Dec. 30.
Candlelight Processional is Disney Parks Tradition
Our first must-do is the guest favorite EPCOT Candlelight Processional - guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit. This special retelling of the Christmas story by celebrity narrators features an amazing choir of Disney cast members and local community groups and a 50-piece live orchestra with herald trumpets.
Here’s an updated list of list of celebrity narrators performing now through to the end of the festival:

Spaceship Earth Shines Bright for the Holidays
When the sun sets, the iconic Spaceship Earth attraction is a sparkling must-see during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The colorful lights can be enjoyed every night and the display is accompanied by the Disney100 anthem, an original version of “When You Wish Upon a Star.”
Holiday Kitchens Cook Up Festive Recipes, Drinks
There are so many treats to enjoy at more than 15 Holiday Kitchens this year. We’re cooking up recipes and festive drinks from around the world, including favorites like the Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl and Slow Roasted Turkey as well as Spiced Pumpkin Punch and Cranberry Mimosas.
One-of-a-Kind Holiday Cookie Stroll at EPCOT
The Holiday Cookie Stroll is another must-do festival experience featuring delightful cookies from the Holiday Kitchens. Cookies include:
- Linzer Cookie
- Gingerbread Cookie
- Black and White Cookie (Plant-based)
- Snickerdoodle Cookie made with SNICKERS bar pieces
- Spiced Chocolate Cookie
- Peppermint Pinwheel Cookie
- Holiday Sugar Cookie
- Jingle Sugar Cookie made with M&M’S chocolate candies
And at the Holiday Cookie Stroll, when guests purchase any five cookies from the official locations and collect matching stamps in their Festival Passport, they can bring it to Holiday Sweets & Treats to receive a specialty treat.
Visit Santa Claus at EPCOT Until Dec. 24
At the Odyssey Pavilion at EPCOT during the festival, you can also visit Santa Claus to say hello, pose for a photo and share a Christmas wish.
The classic tradition of photos with Santa begins each day at 11 a.m. and can also be experienced at 12:30, 2, 3:30, 5 and 6:30 p.m. now through Dec. 24.
Holiday Storytellers Share Traditions from Around World
While exploring World Showcase at EPCOT, there’s also a sleigh full of merry Holiday Storytellers to enjoy as they share each country’s holiday traditions. Here’s the list:

During the festival, guests don’t want to miss an uplifting performance of music in celebration of Christmas and Kwanzaa with JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season.
Performances are daily (1:15, 2:20, 3:25 and 4:30 p.m.) at the World Showcase Plaza Stage.
Disney Attraction Sparkles with Holiday Decorations
Seen the must-see holiday lights sparkling at Living with the Land – Glimmering Greenhouses especially for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holiday?
Guests can celebrate the most bountiful time of the year with a special journey through the greenhouses decorated for the season while seeing how Walt Disney World horticulturalists are using innovative techniques and cross-breeding crops to help feed a growing planet.
Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt
Everyone should also try this year’s Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt! Each journey begins with the purchase of a map and stickers, available at various festival merchandise locations, which lead guests on a delightful quest for traditions that Olaf has discovered in every pavilion.
Festival-Exclusive Magic Shots from Disney PhotoPass Service
And whether it’s Olaf and Sven or The Three caballeros, there are several different Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots that add a memorable Disney touch to photos exclusively for the festival.
