World Championship 2008 Deck Profile: Blue-Eyes White Dragon

Once, a long time ago, Blue-Eyes White Dragon was the most powerful Dragon you could Summon (without Fusion Summoning). But with White Night Dragon rivaling Blue-Eyes in terms of stats while also boasting a powerful effect, ol' Blue-Eyes needed to adapt. The best way to utilize BEWD is to take advantage of its status as a Normal Monster, as well as its LIGHT attribute and of course its Dragon typing. This deck does so with Normal Monster support to make summoning it easier, as well as adding LIGHT support in Kaiser Seahorse and Shining Angel. The former makes it easier to summon BEWD from your hand (as well as Light and Darkness Dragon!) while the latter searches out Kaibaman to achieve the same goal. Because of our usage of the LIGHT attribute, this deck also enjoys Soul of Purity and Light, which helps further offensive pressure or provide a tribute in a pinch. Finally, when the time is right, Burst Stream of Destruction obliterates the field and reminds us that Blue-Eyes isn't out of style yet. The guest list for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Met Gala “leaked”. 

The event which - in recent years has been held the first Monday in May - has been moved to September 13th this year due to the ongoing pandemic.  As always the event is chaired by Anna Wintour, who last year was rumored to be dating her longtime friend, actor Bill Nighy and if that’s true, she need to make it red carpet official. He’s forever stylish.  Her fellow honorary chairs are Adam Mosseri who is the head of Instagram and designer/filmmaker/hater of mandals (me too,Tom!) Tom Ford.

This year’s co-chairs are Timothee Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman and Naomi Osaka.

This year’s theme is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion“ which will be a celebration of American designers and the event will be a two-parter with one event taking place now and the other on the first Monday in May 2022 with the theme “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”. 

In the past few days a few names from the guest list have been revealed and it’s heavy on social media influencers which isn’t surprising considering one of the chairs is over Instagram.  This, of course, has raised the question of whether the Met Gala has lost its prestige by these new invitees.  But it’s the same argument that was made years ago when models were pushed to the background and the event became the playground of actors.  Even designers and fashion hoi polloi stopped attending in part to the price of the tickets ($30k-$50k; tables $275k) and due to the focus on celebrity and not fashion. 

That’s why Iris Arpel, celebrating her 100th birthday this coming week and who once had 86 outfits housed at the exhibit, stopped attending.  

Who are some of the influencers who will attend? Allyson Felix, Noah Beck, Liza Koshy, Bretman Rock and Loren Grey.

Other well known influencers like Nikki Tutorials, James Charles, Jeffree Star, Charlie and Dixie D’Amelio and Nikita Dragun are also on the list. 

Look it’s not really a mystery why influencers are invited. The real mystery to me is how did SNL’s Chloe Fineman get on the list??

Was it her Timothee Chalamet impression? 

Here’s a look back at my favourite looks of these year’s attendees.  There are a ton to choose from but I’m going by who actually followed the theme. 

For some reason I felt more people adhered to the 2018 theme  Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. There were so many incredible looks that year. 

Rihanna who was the co-chair that year led by example with the stunning Margiela design.

Blake Lively looking regal in Versace.

Cardi B. during the same year in Moschino.

Zendaya won hands down for her Joan of Arc look by Versace.

Same year Jennifer Lopez wore this punk-y Balmain design.

2015′s theme was “China: Through The Looking Glass” and Sarah Jessica Parker wore an H&M dress with a elaborate Philip Treacy headdress. 

2016′s theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology and I think it was a hard theme for people to grasp the concept of.

The person who nailed it was Claire Danes with her light up Zac Posen gown

But Beyonce looked great in her nude latex Givenchy design.

2019′s theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” and the obvious winner was that year’s co-chair Lady Gaga who had four costume changes.

Followed by Kim Kardashian in a Thierry Mugler design that simulated a dripping wet look.

Kim-Cuc: Goes by just Kim in America, all her teachers always butchered her name so she just went by Kim. She’s the middle sister between Artemis and Jade, but always stuck closer to Jade and kinda followed her lead. She doesn’t have a close bond with her sisters like Artemis and Jade do, she doesn’t like literature or Alice in Wonderland like they do so she always felt a little left out. But she was the roughest of her sisters so she was always daddy’s favorite

Sadashi: Is obviously Emiko Queens half sister, though she stayed close to her mother and became an assassin like her mother, joining the LotS when recruited by Lady Shiva. She is a Green Arrow villain, though she’s aware of her half sisters relation to the family so she does feel a little bad when fighting them and won’t go hard on Kennedy, and rather will just trap them to keep them behind

Salma: Her father was an assassin from Egypt, and a descendant of Anubis, who had an arranged marriage with Talia but was soon killed by her when he tried to run away with their daughter and raise her by himself. Salma did grow up being loved by her mother, but also trained hard to impress her grandfather and win his approval. She uses the same swords as her mother and sways her hips a lot as she walks, and she also has the power to raise the dead and have an army by her side

Chariya: Younger than Rose by a year or two, her mother was a Tibetan assassin that had an affair with Deathstroke, and left the baby to him cause she didn’t want that burden. So Slade raised her by himself, Rose being with the Titans during the time, and Chariya’s first mission was to infiltrate the Titans by joining and betraying them. She eventually wanted to prove her loyalty to her father so bad that she copied her sister and gouged out not just one, but both of her eyes and is still an amazing assassin

Ryoko: So the story is still the same where the Dragun Clan used to be heroes of Japan, but slowly became villains over the centuries, and she has the Seven Powers of Orochi and dragon tattoos along her arms. She’s also inspired by Shang Chi, so she’s actually pretty cool and chill, just likes to kill people using fire, water, wind, earth, shadow, light, poison and thunder

Actually I will make a list of 10 makeup brands that have done shitty things and shouldn’t get your money.

1. Morphe, with all their racist collaborations, super shady startup, incredibly shady marketing tactics, lying to customers about if a product is vegan... just all around terrible.

2. Too Faced. The former owner of Too Faced did a “Rich Lives Matter” cake. And thought it acceptable enough to post it online. Didn’t even pull that shit in private, just put it out because he thought it was so funny. He doesn’t own it anymore but I’m willing to bet he still get checks. Also his sister, who worked at the company, was blatantly transphobic to a YouTuber who was blackmailed into coming out as trans (who they had also scammed during a collaboration years prior), and now they have a lipstick called “Lady Balls” which seems!!! Transphobic!!! Given the history and context!!!

3. Sigma beauty. Yeah, they’re one of the most popular brush companies, but they started with an MLM business structure which is literally unforgivable.

4. P. Louise. Owner is a white lady who said the N word and then said it was okay because her boyfriend is black. Then made a “Cancelled” collection about ti and the “needless hate and bullying she faced”.

5. COLOURPOP. Colourpop sucks and frankly is my mortal makeup enemy. They literally ignored the fact that skintones darker than mine (fair) exist at all for literal years, only pumping out ashy and pale palettes and blushes despite the fact they literally release like 10 new collections, not just products but multi-product collections, a month. 10 a month, no products for people of any deep skintones. Then when they actually did come out with one after being called out for years, it was Wild Animal themed. About being “sassy” and “untamed” and “can’t behave”. Literally. Scummy, scummy racist company.

6. Barely even want to mention it but Jeffree Star cosmetics. Just-just never even touch the stuff. Horrible human being.

7. Dragun Beauty. Owned by another racist YouTuber who’s been constantly throwing/going to massive parties during the pandemic. Constantly tries to blackfish, wears box braids and “tans” to the point she’s literally dark skinned in some photos. 

8. One-Size Beauty. Another YouTuber who parties and then tells people to fuck off when they criticize, friends with the girl mentioned above, also wears box braids and things like that without being black.

9. Anastasia Beverly Hills. Currently run by a girl who bases how/when she conducts important business meetings on star signs, almost collabed with an MLM and when called out the CEO basically said “Oh I didn’t know what an MLM was and I didn’t do any research on this other brand we were going to make an exclusive product with!” Also got exposed for being really shitty to black employees and black content creators they partnered with. Never really addressed anything or worked to make it better. The current person running it is the founder’s daughter and only has the job because of nepotism, people who were actually qualified got passed over so she could get the job (she’s also friends with blatant racists).

10. Benefit. They’ve got less of a rap sheet, they just have a history of severely ignoring that dark skin tones exist and working with racists in their campaigns.

Bonus 11! BH Cosmetics. Released a ‘pretty little psycho’ themed collection for Halloween and did that thing where they glamorize and villainize a mental illness at the same time.

When rating my favorite archetypes in Over the Nexus, I'd say Dragunity and Laval are on top, along with Red-Eyes since Red-Eyes Wyvern makes them an official archetype. But the others are harder to place for me. Flamvell, Jurrac, Elemental HERO, Six Samurai, Gusto... It's just hard to say! Not to mention the Earthbound Immortals, which are among my favorite build around cards, and the potential of archetypes I haven't even played yet to be favorites, like Fortune Lady. I just wish learning to play new archetypes was easier for me!

One of my biggest mistakes was not bringing blushes and highlighters but when i'm in Seoul i don't use highlighter instead i use a lot blushes and bronzers for mistake i brought with me the Dragun Beauty face kit let's call it like da ladies n gentlemens don't buy this product issa waist of time and money this girl put a fucking fake ass synthetic wig w/makeup idk but you but ain't feeling it she waisted so much money on the packaging da she forgot the formula and pigmentation is what will make her business successful this kit lacks of pigments and the formula is not greatest or the baddest theirs a lot of kickback coming from the contours the shades in my opinion are not for everyone sorry hunny this ain't universal to me da shade in the top left corner is to dark for my fair friend Kioba and on me da shade looks grey-ish the other shade da looks like chocolate looks to orange for me the blushes are a no no as well the one da looks pink/red-ish call babygirl is ashy the other one a lost case u suppose to use powder blushes w/brush right? This blushes as soon u dip on em and tap the exes of the brush is like the blush fly w/the wind they literally disappears from the brush is like the brush didn't pick nothing the highlighters are good for a lids inner corners moment this is something da nobody ask for cuz we all have our own blushes, highlighters and contour da we luv in other brands this is more for the people da stan this brand and this person living a fantasy CANT RELATE i prefer the realtea of the world i regret so much bringing this with me

This right here is my favorite part of this video ahahaha i went shopping to Tony Moly issa Korean makeup/skin care brand the majority of the time their makeup and skin care is animated they have bunnies, Rose's and pandas in their packaging i bought what i think was fitting for me to take with me home i bought the bunny glosses, two setting sprays, one water cleanser, a powder for the pores witch is da cat cute compact, makeup remover wipes and a bunch of masks ik and we all aware k beauty targets just one demographic however don't let da down you cuz i have use korean makeup in the past like very specific products such as lipsticks, blushes, bronzers, highlighters, eye shadows, glosses and lip tints everything work like wonders like any brand in the beauty industry not all are pigmented and with good formulation if u want good products u need to buy from specific brands if you're a on the go gal da luvs everyday settle makeup k beauty might be for you the skin care is for everyone and girl the have pretty good quality products

I hope one day K beauty becomes more diverse because they have amazing products i think a lot of y'all will like this is all about trying new things and see other sides of makeup when i'm here in Seoul i use a cushion foundation dewy setting spray n a lip tint and i'm ready ahahaha i will make more K beauty hauls and more give details of the products and why they're worth to try from my favorite brands a look up to when i'm doing shopping i might do as well a skin care favorites da might work for y'all also ok my Alpha Gang i hope you guys enjoy this tiny vlog of mines i'm so excited to continue making more vlogs but idk if u enjoy this Katzha Vlog let me know in the comment section and lets make this a thing ahahahaha thank guys so much for watching i see you guys soon 🐺
