Hi! How's it going?

Can I get some headcanons about the main four with a twin sibling!reader? How would the dynamic between them and people around them look.

You can choose if they're identical or fraternal twins. 

Main 4 Being their Twin Sibling

Warnings: none

Notes: Platonic, gender-neutral as well! Will be fraternal twins, since identical twins are typically the same gender. A little rushed, wrote most of this late at night.

Stan Marsh

Being Stan’s twin would be fun, I think.

You’ll obviously look similar, but not so similar to the point where people bombard you guys with questions.

You would be the older one, by about a minute, and you would definitely tell all his friends about it.

He hates you for it.

Since you’re related to Stan, you’re also related to Shelley, meaning you both get attacked by her.

Luckily she’s a bit nicer on you, only because you’re friends aren’t as annoying as Stan’s.

You don’t really hangout with Stan and his friends unless they need you as a backround character for a game, otherwise you would be with your own friend group.

Your personalities are very similar, people could probably tell that you’re related by just that.

I feel like Stan would be the type to scam you out of favors, but quickly feel bad then do something in return for you.

You used to both walk into school together, but after moving onto the farm and having to wear those Hemp shirts, it was embarrassing.

You both agreed that two people with Hemp shirts walking together was more embarrassing than one, so you split up.

You would be friends with Wendy, since gossiping about Stan is so fun for you both.

Imagine you and Stan both doing homework together, staring at the worksheet before eventually giving up.

You guys played Terrance and Philip on the TV afterwards, so it was okay.

“Tell me if Wendy says anything bad about me, please?”

Kyle Broflovski

Being Kyle’s twin sibling would be interesting.

Kyle would be the older one by about 3 minutes, but he isn’t obnoxious about it and doesn’t care.

Kyle tends to be the smarter one, so he wouldn’t mind tutoring or explaining every bit of work to you, you steal his answers when he isn’t looking.

You used to hang out with Kyle and his friends, then Cartman started going after you as well even though he hasn’t before.

If you ever get a partner with a stable relationship, Kyle would be happy for you, but I feel like he would be a little jealous since his romantic luck is absolute shit.

You guys are the types of twins where everyone can tell that you’re siblings, and it’s super annoying getting asked the same questions everyday.

Sheila would probably make you guys share a room, and you both hate it.

I know she would be the type of mom to dress you guys up in matching outfits when you guys were younger as well.

You and Kyle would be the type of twins that talk at the same time, doesn’t matter if you say the same things or not.

It’s so bad that some people swear you can mind communicate, you wish.

The only bad apart about being Kyle’s twin is that you’re practically engaged in everything he does, which is really annoying.

“Mom, do we really have to be matching?”

Kenny Mccormick

I think having Kenny as your twin sibling would be really nice.

Although your household and environment at home really isn’t great, you both still make the most of it.

You guys might share clothes, not often though.

Kenny is older than you by 5 minutes, bigger gap than the rest, but he genuinely doesn’t care.

You guys don’t really look alike that much, so it’s only when they realize the last names are the same that they notice you guys are siblings.

It’s a good thing nobody notices though, or else the questions would be a hassle.

You and Kenny would definitely each take turns taking care of Karen, hanging out with her or getting her small things from time to time.

I feel like Kenny sees you as the other half of him in some way, not because you’re his twin, it’s because you’re his twin.

He would take you down to work at City Wok, so that you guys could make some extra money.

You and Kenny both payed half and half for that Sony PSP, using your saved money from City Wok.

You guys fight over the PSP daily, not bothering to make some actual working time distribution on the device.

You would definitely find Kenny cheesing all the time, in the act.

All you do is walk away because you don’t really care, you just hope he doesn’t get into too much trouble.

“Do you like it, Karen? Me and Y/N saved up for it.”

Eric Cartman

Cartman definitely hates you, partially.

You’re his twin, and he sees that as a terrible thing because of how he exaggerates having to be stuck to you all the time.

You DEFINITELY don’t look like Cartman, at all.

Maybe there’s only some similar features, but you should be glad to not look the slightest similar to him:

Cartman would make fun of you for being to nice, than start screaming at you once you become annoying like him.

He can’t make up his mind over anything, and it only makes him angrier when he thinks about how you’re older, only by a minute.

You’re embarrassed about being related to him, but at least you kind of secret information to blackmail him with if he ever gets too annoying.

Liane let’s you guys do whatever you want, as long as you and Cartman are together most of the time.

You guys are forced to become partners all the time in projects and school assignments, and you almost always are the loudest ones in the room because of your arguments.

You genuinely feel that living with Cartman is like hell on earth, and you can only assume he feels the same but with amplified hatred.

Sometimes it seems like he likes you though, it’s weird.

One time you were coming back from a sleepover and he came to hug you, talking about how he missed you sooo much, he made you do his homework in return for being affectionate.

If you ever get a love interest or partner, Cartman is already on his way to asking everything about them.

It’s not like he cares, he does, he just wants to know who you’re really talking with.

He’ll probably be really weird about it for the first week, then get over it and start being annoying once more.

a subtle kyman moment no one talks about

ok i’ve talked abt this a lot before how cartman & kyle have A LOT more in common with each other and are more similar to each other than they are to stan with a lot of moments of those two either gaining up on stan together or selling him out some good examples are “all about mormons” when they made fun of stan for being friends with gary and made all those gay jokes (wow projecting much), the obvious betrayal in “you’re getting old” & “ass burgers” when kyle replaced stan with cartman, & ofc in the black friday trilogy when stan wanted to be on the ps4 side but cartman & kyle wanted xboxes. in fact stan was the first one to initiate not wanting to be friends anymore in “south parq vaccination special”, which goes to show imo that stan is the real outsider of the group at this point and doesn’t feel supported by the other boys in the dynamic. but what i wanna talk abt is that scene in “the pandemic special” where they’re at build a bear and stan has that breakdown and cries and shit bc that was lowkey a kyman moment too but ya’ll didn’t see it. what really stood out to me in that scene was how much cartman & kyle fucking gaslit stan and made him out to be crazy….for you know HAVING NORMAL HUMAN EMOTIONS ABOUT THE PANDEMIC. it pisses me off bc stan is way more rational than cartman & kyle are and he keeps his emotions in check way more often and then puts up with all of THEIR bullshit when they’re constantly acting out and throwing tantrums like a baby in every episode, so it’s like they couldn’t let stan have this ONE moment where he got to express his feelings and act out and do something bad??? even tho cartman & kyle do dumbass reckless immature shit and act on their emotions all the time???? they make him out to be the bad guy for going to a build-a-bear that’s closed and trying to stuff a bear for butters (even tho he was just projecting his own feelings abt the pandemic) with no employees there. like bitch please, i mean yeah breaking into a closed build a bear is a dumb thing to do but cartman & kyle shouldn’t be acting like they’re the saints here bc they’re not and they’ve done WAY worse shit lol. i mean that holier-than-thou attitude can be expected of kyle but it was surprising to see it from cartman too. and there are so many moments were stan goes along with their bullshit when they wanna do something that’s illegal or fucked up, but the one time stan gets the idea to do something fucked up they’re like “noooo that’s wrong”. the part tho where cartman is literally backing up KYLE and not stan and is like “stan you really need employee assistance for this” had me like

bc u would not expect that from cartman considering he’s a sociopathic maniac so if another boy gets an idea to do something fucked up and illegal he would be totally on board LOL like how he was willing to help stan steal the baby cows in s6 but at this point in the series you can see how the chemistry between cartman & kyle has grown so strong to the point that it’s like neither of those two give a shit about stan anymore and wanna support him on anything, when before stan was like the glue that kept the group together and it seemed like cartman & kyle wouldn’t even had been hanging out with each other if it wasn’t for their mutual friendship with stan. i think that goes to show that cartman has developed A LOT and he’s become more similar to kyle and values kyle’s opinion above the other boys when the dynamic used to be more of cartman getting stan & kenny to gain up against kyle. ESPECIALLY that scene in “bebe’s boobs destroy society” where cartman suggests they kick kyle out of the group or all those times when he’s like “ok guys i guess we just have to kill kyle” LOL

* Painted In Shrouds by courtanie. Y’all want some Kysterion? This is one of my favorites! And NOBODY does Kenny like this author seriously. We got espionage! We got organized crime! We got overworked cfo Kyle! We got working together to take down the bad guys! We got blood and injuries and falling in love!

* Swansong by OrcaTimes. Fair warning this made me ugly cry. No one writes Craig like OrcaTimes YALL the Cryle destroyed me and doctor Craig always slays!!! It’s a beautiful story about love and grief, just GORGEOUS!!!

* Collector by cement_shoes. WHOLESOME STYLE ONESHOT!!! Them over the years, taking care of each other, Kyle handling bugs for Stan when he’s scared of them, growing up together and the trials of being human, but with someone always on your side. This one is SO sweet and gorgeously written, and a quick read too.

* A Ballad Of True Hearts by luckypoppies. Dude we all know I’m feral about SOT Style and THIS RIGHT HERE EATS!!!!! The history, the betrayal, the FANTASY VIOLENCE AND THERES THIS FIGHT SO FAR THAT SLAYS SO HARD! Being falsely accused of treason and subsequently exiled, tasked with escorting your prince to safety, GOD you just FEEL for the boys in this (plus we got them taking care of each other like yes yes gimme that fantasy whump) the world building is AWESOME I love sot AU’s and how different authors come up w the lore!

* Behind The Wall by Jwink85. Alright this one STARTS OUT nice, and is such an accurate representation of manipulative abusive relationships. Damien man holy shit. There’s so much going on in this, and the STAN PLOT OMG (yes style I love them) Kyle and Stan reconciling, Ike is my DISTRUSTING KING, high school angst, Tweek and Kyle friendship, Kenny being an icon, and I’ve said before but I love when Kyle’s written as generally wanting to see the good in people but still fiery in his own right, this is (a lot of jwinks stuff really that’s why I like their works so much) a great example of that!

* Simply Expandable by Kivea. YO WHO ORDERED THE MOB AU!!! Dude we got private investigator Craig, rival gangs, supernatural elements and mystery, conspiracy, fucking MOB BOSS KYLE?!?!? Kyle’s a bamf in this holy shit and bodyguard Stan, (this is Cryle btw and it’s fantastic) former k2, twenny, underground fighting rings, some KICKASS gang fights and the true antagonists bro the reveal was SICK! And when I say it’s a The Gangs All Here fic, I mean EVERYONE it’s wild and such a fun read it had me on the edge of my seat!

* And The Lightning Cracks The Sky by PastorCraigEnjoyer. Yeah yeah it’s cringe to rec your own shit sue me. But like Druid prince Kyle, Smokejumper Stan, forest fires, little mermaid but in the northern rockies ass plot, OVERLY PERCEPTIVE KENNY, mutual pining, magic, my beloved injury recovery (I gotta fuck Stan up ok) (I’m the worst)(giving Kyle chronic pain who me never) falling in love and saving each other’s lives, EVIL Cartman, I LOVED WRITING THIS ONE SO FUCKING MUCH it’s truly my baby.

* A quiet place (where I can scream how I love you) by sleep2thefr33zing. Coming of age style!!! So much emotional tension dude the pining is so fucking good, the first chapter is Stan’s perspective and the second one is Kyle and it’s BEAUTIFULLY PAINFUL WHEN THEYRE BOTH DOWN BAD BUT THINK THE OTHER ISNT!!! I love them being there for each other through all the bullshit of growing up, how resonant their falling outs are, it’s just so incredibly gorgeous and you really feel their emotions along with them.

* Knives by SparrowGrim. Ok so kyman isn’t my cup of tea but I’m putting it on the list bc some people do like it and this is an OBJECTIVELY FANTASTIC STORY!!! Tbh I only clicked bc I saw that it was Kyle centric (and that injury tag what can I say I eat that shit up) but I was HOOKED! Dark urbania, gangs running the streets, THE CODE NAMES SLAY SO HARD, we also got creek bunny stendy dip, the character relations are all so cool and the plot is WILD! Also Butters Kenny Stan and Craig are so badass jesus. Not even a ship I like but I loved the story.

* Peering Through Windows by Jwink85. C’mon I gotta have another jwink on the list and this one is SO. FUCKING. GOOD. K2 has been one of my favorites lately and THIS!!! We got dark cryle (my beloved) but when I say dark I mean CRAIG IS SO DEPRAVED!!! Like dude. But the story is THRILLING and artist Kenny is so kickass, Stan is a dad I literally cried over that small detail lmfao and I love jwinks Kyles and their idealistic nature (also I’m a sucker for any artist character) this story broke my heart and mended it again it’s incredible.

* Hunger Pains by Bellweather. Ain’t nobody doin Stan like bellweather MY SWEET PRECIOUS BOY UGH!!! The style is so great omg. The main four dynamic in this is wonderful, them trying to help Kyle through his ED (damn I really do read a lot of shit where Kyle’s suffering huh) all the characters are so well fleshed out and IKE I LOVE IKE IN THIS! The chapters have individual content warnings which is a great touch. Craig having prophetic dreams! Kenny dying multiple times! Chaos! Teenage camaraderie! There’s plenty of humor to make up for the dark shit but it DOES get dark. The mystery element in the beginning is really cool too I definitely have read this one multiple times.

* Find Somebody by hypercatt. STYLE!!! Stan-centric and so so so good, I love a platonic stendy team up too. some of the senior class goes “missing” and WHEN I TELL YALL I WAS so nervous that I read it out of order to make sure everything turned out okay lmao seriously this one had me WRITHING! There’s a gorgeous analogy throughout of physical hurts as a metaphor for mental illness and healing that just SPOKE TO MY SOUL!!! And there are so many beautiful moments, especially near the end, and the message of opening up and not running from your problems is beautifully written. Another one that occupies my brain lmao.

* To Have And To Hold by courtanie. Yes this is another one where Craig is SERIOUSLY DEPRAVED but hear me out!!! The plot, like I would DIE to adapt this to the screen, you feel like you’re watching a dark kidnapping race against time when reading this. And THE K2 IN THIS HOLY FUCK!!! Another one of my favorite Kennys ever and it’s so frustrating for the reader and the characters because WE ALL KNOW WHO TOOK KYLE BUT THE COPS ARENT DOING SHIT! The ending is unbelievably satisfying and the rest of the gang teaming up is so awesome STAN AND KENNY GOING FERAL OVERPROTECTIVE I live for that. But god the shit Kyle is subjected to, but he doesn’t lose that fire (Kyle ily sry)

* When The World Shakes, Hold Me by Bellweather & Blinkxs. The world building in this is PHENOMENAL!!! Post apocalyptic stuff, survival, STYLE!!! Some serious dark themes tho this is a heartbreaking read like damn check the tags frfr but the writing is MAGNETIC!

* -South Park- Style Sickfic/ Injury Fic Requests by AlwaysInSTYLE. Alright alright we all know I love my style hurt comfort and this is a request book/ oneshot series that’s JUST Stan and Kyle taking care of each other and I LOVE IT. you’d think it would get old but it DOES NOT. they’re not repetitive at all, and really fun reads! If you check it out, tell her PCE sent you we’re homies.

* Rookie Mistakes by espyonz. I love me some stenny and BRUH STANSTERION!!! Long oneshot that had me hooked. We got gentle hearted detective Stan who truly wants to protect and serve and is out of place in a corrupt police department. KENNY AS MYSTERION we know I love that shit, and he’s so awesome in this!!! The team up of Kenny Stan and Wendy to find missing people and uncover the truth behind their disappearances is AMAZING. We got Wendy as the tech girl which is SO slay (plus she and Heidi are together asjdhdks) and Kenny is hilarious in this, like he’s such a little shit and I adore this adaptation of his superhero persona. This one dropped LAST NIGHT and I’m so glad I didn’t make a red list post until now bc THIS NEEDED TO BE ON IT!!!

* Seven Candles by courtanie. Yep another one I’m tellin u, one of the best Kenny writers out there. So uhh Kyle in a Very Bad Situation again, like some of it was really tough to read. BUT!!! We got a war between heaven and hell!!! KENNY AS A FUCKING ARCHANGEL ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? (I live for courtanie’s overprotective kenny holy shit) this is legitimately my favorite Kenny interpretation IVE EVER READ HES SO FUCKING AWESOME!!! Plus we got satan being Done with Damien’s shit lmao and Kyle making friends with a hellhound which is fun. THE FINAL BATTLE WAS SO COOL TOO I LOST MY MIND!

* Why Remind Me by Kasen. One of the best style oneshots BRUH it’s so good with such a wholesome ending and the FEELINGS CONFESSIONS!!! The boys playing superhero, then later we got high school style and an accident that leads to a reminder of a kiss and UGH ITS SO CUTE!! Just- just read this one I love it sm.

THE SOUTH PARK PJO AU IS IN MY HEAD RENT FREE RN SO HELLO!! THIS IS SUCH A COOL QUESTION LMAO

I wanna write a fic that focuses on the main four boys being kids and fucking around and saving the world and being a surrogate family. I just love when fics can really capture that spirit and aspire to do that myself.

Like I love seeing these bastards interact, I love the dynamics and the jokes and the clashes and the drama and the brotherhood, I want to give that feeling to someone else through my writing.

Like when I was reading Hunger Pains for the first time that’s what stuck out to me most, how well the group dynamic is captured. It’s also why I’m so obsessed with PCE’s orangejuiceverse (go check out @1moreoffkeyanthem) because they have this talent of being able to translate the friendships perfectly and make it fun to read while still honouring the complexity of the characters, ie what they do to Cartman in their fics to make him actually enjoyable?? Even with him being a dick?? It’s witchcraft but so impressive that I legit take notes 😭😭 Similarly, I’ve defo been inspired by the fanfic called “the mysterion mythos: cthulu fhtagn” in regards to wanting to explore the kids’ mentalities and use that to look into mythology. Read it if you haven’t, it’s awesome.

Another massive part of it is probably my desire to write a story that can follow the “adventure + coming of age + mythology + sarcastic asf main character” narrative that Percy Jackson has going on, except with Stan being the main character of this fanfic I think it’s a slightly different tone to pjo?? (Stan is more chilled out in his wit, like I imagine him being sassy and cynical asf but just keeping it in his head, unlike Percy who just says it, because who tf has the energy dude–)

Another massive part of it is getting to explore how each character might act in this universe while also trying to incorporate my headcanons for the godly parents in a way that doesn’t feel like I’ve just randomly assigned them, like all the kids have plots directly related to their godly parent or lack thereof that I think is fitting (Cartman you unclaimed bastard, keep on searching for a dad bro, get that validation, or Kenny I’m so sorry that you’re alienated and forced to be the “quiet kid” being a son of Hades, or Kyle you Athena kid with perfectionism and an inferiority complex 😭😭) and I also want to do this in a way that respects and even honours alternative headcanons, that’s why I love hearing different assignments even after I’ve assigned a kid a godly parent in the fic.

Like I wanna add alternative plotlines between this kid and that god or aspect of the mythology, I wanna honour what you see in that headcanon, I don’t want this to be a story that only I can enjoy.

Oh, and also slow burn. Style that takes literal years?? Sign me up, owls and ravens mf.

an: this is part of an sp au where different versions of the reader has hanahaki and is in love with the main three! read the other two parts here!

Hanahaki is a disease something that affects many daily. From a small seed in your lungs, you’ll experience petals and flowers coming out from your mouth. It could take days, weeks, months, or even years to develop. Many hypothesize that it happens because of a love not returned, a love waiting on a bench. 

Fortunately, it isn’t something that everyone will experience in their lifetime, although it is common. For those who catch the illness, you only have a few choices to pick from.

First, the sickness doesn’t last because the affection is returned. Many of those who survive this still need to receive medical attention for the healing process, depending on how severe the sickness had become. Many of these people who experience this are bound to live a happy life, though.

Second, you undergo a safe medical procedure that, while cures you, makes you devoid of any sense of love anymore. These operations usually do not pose many health risks, and the survival rate is high.

Lastly, you could just bear the pain, although you will suffocate to death.

You grew up in South Park. Subsequently enough, your best friend would be from there as well.

Although you weren’t his best friend, you considered Stan Marsh to be your best friend. You grew up stuck to him, always with a bright grin on your face whenever you saw him. You didn’t have many friends growing up, so there honestly wasn’t another contender for who could be your best friend. For you, it’s always been Stan and you against the world.

Back in middle school, the two of you had an undeniably embarrassing pop-punk emo phase. You two were the types to go to school wearing heavy black eyeliner and enjoy literary classics like Unholyverse, The Heart Rate of a Mouse, and the wonderful Petekey Manifesto.

You can recall Kyle and Wendy being somewhat embarrassed to hang out with Stan because of his edgy “you don’t get it” persona he had on. Stan remained close with them, yes, but the two didn’t want to associate themselves with the stupid shit you and Stan were doing. To be honest, you’re pretty sure you two enabled each other to go forward with your endeavors—to put it lightly.

Even so, that awkward and cringe middle school phase wasn’t all for nothing. You and Stan even formed a tiny band with Kenny. Stan was the vocalist and bassist, you were the lyricist and guitarist, and Kenny was the drummer. He recycled the name of his old band, and you guys were called the Crimson Dawn as well.

You didn’t get big or anything, no. You all were just a bunch of 9th graders who wanted to make noise and have fun. You did, however, have a lot of gigs around town. You guys found yourselves performing in bowling alleys, bars, parking lots, and even at a government-planned event (that last one’s because they wanted to be hip and show that they were in with the kids).

You guys received some extra cash here and there, but you all usually just spent it on replacing damaged equipment and for more personal uses. Overall, your band was doing good, and you were known in town as South Park’s little rockstars.

Now, you’re in your senior year of high school. How are you personally doing on the social ladder? Fine. Everyone knew you and thought you were cool, but no one had actually made the effort to get to know you, to be your friend. So, really, Stan and Kenny were your only close friends.

“You got anything new, YN?” Stan asked. Currently, you were in his garage with Kenny coming up with new songs.

Okay, band dynamics rundown first. Stan was the self-appointed leader that didn’t like leading but also secretly enjoyed it. You and Kenny didn’t mind that he was self-appointed because you two didn’t wanna deal with the logistics of contacting business owners for gigs and scheduling practices.

Kenny was the one who usually showed up late for practice and fucked around with your songs to have you and Stan mess up—especially at gigs. He’ll slow down his tempo, do half-times whenever he feels like it, and solo at the worst times possible.

You were kind of the mastermind behind the whole band. You composed the melodies and wrote the lyrics. Often, Stan and Kenny would just edit their parts to shape it to their liking. You didn’t mind that. You were just there kinda doing your own thing, but also having fun while doing so.

“Well, yeah, but it’s extremely bare-bones. I think I have a pretty solid riff for the song, though.” You sighed, playing around with your guitar and your effects. “I think it sounds a little different from our current sound. It also already has a bass part, but they kind of just clash together.”

“That’s fine. You think you can play it?”

“Sure.” You set your guitar settings to something more twangy, fitting it with the vibes your riff had.

“Here’s, uh, the guitar part.” You started to play. It sounded like it had the complexity of something Ray Toro’d write but with Mac DeMarco’s more upbeat songs. You continued with the bass, and it definitely was similar to Stan’s playing style, but it seemed like it would blend nicely with the guitar.

“Oh, yeah, you’re right. It does sound a lot different.” He said after you finished.

“Is it bad?” You asked worriedly.

“No, no. Don’t worry,” He smiled. “It sounds fresh and new. I like it a lot.”

“I could put jazz-style drumming over it,” Kenny said excitedly. ”Hold on—I’m about to become Andrew Neiman.”

“Then you’re gonna call me Terrance Fletcher and act as if we’re in an abusive mentor-mentee relationship,” Stan replied dryly.

“Then I’m gonna get in a car crash!”

You essentially went autopilot after that, playing around with your guitar while Kenny and Stan chatted in the background. If you had to recall, you think they were talking about Wendy and Marjorine. You weren’t exactly sure.

It’s about midnight. You were hunched over your desk, currently up writing the song you presented earlier. 

Suddenly, your body caught up to you. You were thrown into a coughing fit. Your throat started to close up on you. You were suffocating.

You thought you were having an allergic attack, which was nothing new. As you were about to drink your antihistamine, you felt like you were about to vomit. You didn’t quite, though. Instead, you spat out Amaryllis petals with strings of saliva attached. You were disgusted but also horrified. What the hell was happening to you?

You wanted to tell your mom but couldn’t since you were scared that you would be rushed to a research center—having to deal with a bunch of needles in your spine. If this was a rare disease then scientists might take you away from your home, you know?

Maybe you’ll head to the doctor tomorrow or rather later. Luckily for you, it would be a Sunday, so you were free to do what you wanted.

“I’m afraid you have Hanahaki disease, Mx. L/N.” The doctor said.

“What?” You asked, confused. You had never heard of it before.

“It’s a condition where a seed in your lungs grows flowers.”

“How could I even have gotten that?” You were even more baffled and confused.

“Do you have a crush?”

Was the doctor literally dodging questions now? When you could have a serious life-threatening disease? “No?”

“Well, you do. The seed is triggered when you develop feelings for someone.”

“That sounds really stupid.” You rolled eyes.

“Sorry, kid,” he sighed, clearly tired. Maybe he was being serious. “You just happen to be the unlucky few who got it.

“What can I do then, doctor?”

“Three things: either your crush reciprocates their feelings back, get surgery, or die of suffocation.”

You were taken aback by the last part. “The dying option sounds a little grim, don’t you think? I doubt people would actually just give up like that. Like, why not take the surgery?”

“Well, you see,” he said, looking at you with pity. “The surgery removes all your hopes, dreams, and feelings. Everything you feel emotionally will be stripped away after the surgery.”

“That sounds stupid. I mean, you’ll literally turn into a lifeless person! A zombie, honestly.”

“That’s why many people just go with death.”

You sat there, feeling absolutely puzzled. Who is it you could have had a crush on?

It was now Monday. You were sitting with Stan and Kenny. They discussed sending your songs to some label or something. You couldn’t focus, the news of yesterday preoccupying itself in your mind.

Okay, you only really talked to about five people a day. Two of those people were your parents, the other is your dog, and the last two is Stan and Kenny.

So you only had two contenders currently, and you were pretty much sure you didn’t like either of them. They both had girlfriends, first of all. Kenny wasn’t the type of person you’d be into. Stan was your childhood best friend, so if you liked him you would’ve already gotten this disease years ago.

So who was your mystery crush?

“YNNN? Hello?” Stan waved his hand right in front of you. You shook your head, snapping out of your thoughts. “Earth to YN.”

“What is it?” You asked with a slightly annoyed tone.

“How’s the song going? Once it’s finished, Kenny and I were thinking we’d send it to this producer that my friend knows. He said that they were looking for more bands currently.”

“Oh, well,” you trailed off. You didn’t get to work on the song at all. “There’s not much progress. Some stuff came up at home.” You casually lied, wanting to dodge what happened.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah, don’t worry.”

“You know Kenny and I are here for you, right?” Kenny, however, was busy chatting with someone on his phone—probably Marj. Stan elbowed him on the side as Kenny looked back up at him, offended.

“Yeah, YN. Like, no matter big or small it is. You can tell us.” Kenny chimed in.

“Thanks, you guys.” You smiled. Maybe you could let them in with what was going on instead of brooding around like a jerk. “Actually, I think I may have—”

“Hi, Stan!” Wendy cooed, bending down to him as she gave him a peck on the cheek. He blushed, lightly brushing the area where his girlfriend had kissed him. “Hey, Kenny, YN.” You two greeted Wendy—Kenny with a wave and you with a nod. 

“Stannn,” she hummed as she took his hand to stand. “Kyle and I need you for our Chemistry project. You’ve barely contributed at all!” She lightly hit his arm, seemingly a little frustrated.

“Shit,” he sighed. “Sorry, babe. I’ll go help you guys out.” He looked nervously at you two, silently pleading to have you stay. He desperately looked like he didn’t want to do the project.

You decided it would be best for him to pull his weight right now than later, though. “It’s fine with us. Don’t sweat it, Wendy.” You gave her a polite smile. Kenny joined in with you as well. 

“Thanks, YN!” She beamed, pulling him away from your table.

It was after class. Stan was still busy finishing up his homework, currently being reprimanded by Wendy. So now you and Kenny were underneath the bleachers, passing each other a joint he brought.

“You were about to say something earlier during lunch,” Kenny stated, waiting for the stuff to kick in.

“Yeah?” You raised a brow. “You still wanna know?”

“Sure, if you’re comfortable with it.” He leaned back on the metal pole holding up the seats.

“Well, I think I have Hanahaki Disease and—”

“So you like Stan?” He immediately cut you off.

“No. He has a girlfriend of, like, eight years.”

“If that’s your only reasoning as to why you don’t like him, then that’s pretty stupid, YN. It’s like looking at a cool shirt then going, ‘Oh, I don’t like that shirt cause someone’s already wearing it.’”

“Well, if I do like Stan, why only have the disease now? We’ve been friends for literally forever. Don’t you think I’d have Hanahaki a long while ago already?”

“You’re really in touch with your feelings, YN,” he paused.

“Thanks. I try.”

“You didn’t let me finish,” he said, putting his index against your lips. “You’re really in touch with your feelings,” he paused for dramatic effect. “But it’s hilarious how you can’t even accept that you like Stan.”

“It’s because I don’t.”

“Let’s say you do, though.”

“Which I don’t.”

“You should be a comedian. You look like a clown right now.” You simply dead-panned him. “Anyways, if you had a crush on Stan, what are you gonna do about it? He’s madly in love with his girlfriend, dude.”

“I haven’t thought about it yet,” you paused, seeming worried. “Wanna know why?”

“Why?”

“Because I don’t like him, dickwad.”

“I’m dead. Your clownery has killed me.” He said sarcastically. “It’s written in my will: if I die at the hands of YN, they have to either pay for my funeral expenses or confront the fact that they like Stan.”

“Can’t you drop it?”

“You know what I can drop?”

“How annoying you are?”

“A new hit single about how much you like Stan.”

“I hope you green out later.”

“Thanks. I appreciate it.” He replied snidely, taking another hit from his blunt.

You were now back in your natural habitat—your room. You sat in the dark, coughing up flowers.

Even if he meant it lightheartedly, you were now thinking twice about what Kenny said earlier. I mean, you could only have just developed feelings for Stan right now. That was possible.

Kenny brought up another good point: if you did like Stan, what were you gonna do then? Stan was head over heels for his girlfriend, so you only had two choices to pick from; death or death.

Either choice sucked, to be honest. You’re an individual who believed in expression, wild ideas, and creativity. To have those stripped away from you would lose all meaning to who you were. On the other hand, you could actually die. Like, literally. That didn’t fare to the other choice much better, of course.

You sighed, pulled out your laptop and your unplugged guitar, and do the only thing you know how to do—write.

Writing gave you the ability to think for yourself, but anyone can do that, though. Writing forces you to think more intuitively and to communicate those ideas onto paper, helping you understand and realize parts of yourself better. Sometimes, you think you already have a full thought, but when you’re writing, more and more things just come out. For you, that was the joy of writing.

Right now, however, you really couldn’t get anything out of your mind. You had some really cool riffs in your head that you’d like to translate, sure, but you had no lyrics. That was annoying.

Anyways, what were you gonna do with your possible feelings for Stan?

It was the next day, and you found yourself with Stan at the edge of your skate park’s bowl. You spent more of the day with him, of course after classes. You guys were record-hunting, thrifting, and even attending a local art show. 

The whole thing was his idea. A few weeks before, he mentioned wanting to spend more time with you again. Unluckily for him, he had been caught up in a lot of things, and so he didn’t really get to spend time with you, Kyle, or even Wendy. So, now, he was making up for it.

“Dude, I submitted the homework on time.” Stan was currently in the middle of a rant about how Mr. Garrison wouldn’t accept his paper. “The deadline was on that day, 4 PM. I visited him in his office at 3:30. He wouldn’t take it!”

“Well, you know how he is,” you sighed, plopping your chin on your knees as your body was sat curled up. “He’s been like that ever since we were kids. Honestly, I still wonder how he’s still allowed to teach.”

“Right? Like, besides the numerous amount bullshit he’s put us through, he’s not even that good at teaching.”

“Yeah,” you agreed, not saying anything else.

The silence was always comfortable with Stan. You could sit there and do nothing but still feel satisfied with the time you spent with him. 

Now, though, slowly coming to terms with your feelings for Stan, everything felt different. It felt weird. You didn’t know how to act or feel around him, knowing you liked him. Yeah, you might really like him romantically, but did that mean you now had to act differently around him? Maybe not, and even if you trying to fight against it, it felt like your whole world has shifted.

It’s even more awkward since he has a girlfriend. You had no intention of being with Stan, you knew how much he liked Wendy, yet how fragile their relationship could be at times. However, since you have feelings for Stan, any time you spent with him felt like you were taking him away from her. You felt awful, but neither you nor Wendy was entitled to his time.

You heard Stan downing a bottle of whiskey by your side. He’s always had a tendency to drink. It used to be a lot heavier when he was around 15, which was scary since he was so young. It’s what happens though in messed up houses like his. “You want some?” His hand out holding the bottle for you.

Just because you were worried over Stan’s drinking didn’t mean you weren’t allowed to do so, either. You were kinda exhausted from the whole ‘possible being in love with Stan’ thing, anyway. You needed something to unwind. “Sure, thanks,” you replied, taking the bottle from him as you took a few gulps from it.

It’s been over a week now since your conversation with Kenny. You certainly weren’t showing signs of recovery soon, so that’s unfortunate. How did you get away with all the coughing? You dismissed it, stating that it was just an allergy—it was spring anyway. The only person who knew the truth was Kenny. There was a chance Stan could pick apart your lie, though, never seeing you have pollen-related allergies growing up. Luckily, it didn’t happen.

Asides from that, you were practically sure that you liked Stan. Your feelings were written all around the small details. You liked when he’d pull his beanie down whenever he’d get flustered, you liked how passionate he often sounded when he talked, you noticed how cute he walks, and you liked a lot of things about him. 

There was this one thing you read online about once. You think it was called the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. Most people just call it the Frequency Illusion. It’s where, when you notice one thing, you start to notice that it’s pretty much everywhere. You believe that was exactly happening to you. Ever since it had been brought to light that you may have feelings for Stan, it’s like everything was a sign of it coming to fruition.

Have you told Stan yet, though? Soon, hopefully.

You had somewhat distanced yourself from him because seeing him would probably make a decision more difficult. You’d want to keep him in your life as much as you want, but you knew you couldn’t either way. Would giving everything up to have a completely different version of yourself be friends with him be worth it? A version of yourself that didn’t care about Stan, do note. Seems not, but neither is giving everything up already.

You were hanging out with Kenny behind the school. That’s usually where the goth kids spend their time, but they were busy drinking Irish coffee right now. It was after class on a Tuesday. He hadn’t bugged you about your feelings since then, but he would sometimes hint at it.

“Kenny,” you sighed. In response, he hummed. “I think I like Stan.”

“Shocker.” He replied sarcastically.

“What do you think I should do?” You dramatically wept as you rested your head on his shoulder.

“Whatever you think is right.”

“I think I should tell Stan.”

“About what specifically?” He scrunched his brows in visible confusion.

“How I’m sick. Maybe even my feelings if we’re at it.”

“Do you know what you’re gonna do first? Like, surgery or what?”

“I’m not sure…” You balled your body up, tucking your head on your lap that was folded up. You two sat there in silence as your mind trailed off, Kenny patting your back as he scrolled through his phone.

You know both situations don’t lead to good endings, but you hated the idea of losing all of the creativity and heart you have. Call you negative, but if there was no hope for a positive resolution, then what would be the point of sticking around?

Yeah, maybe facing your own mortality would be the right decision. It was never your choice to have this illness, to begin with, however.

“Stan.” You called. Currently, you were sinking into the sheets of his bed as you took a deep breath.

“Hmm?” He hummed.

You sat up, looking at him worriedly. “You know how I said that my allergies were reappearing because of the spring season?”

“Yeah, I find it kinda odd,” he replied, sitting up as well and placing his back against the headboard. “You don’t have allergies, yeah?”

“I don’t,” you sighed. “I have Hanahaki.”

“Like the flower thing?” He stared at you in disbelief. You nodded. “That thing exists?”

You clicked your tongue. “Yeah, I’m one of the unfortunate few who got it.”

“What are you gonna do then?” He raised a brow.

“I think you already have an idea.” You dryly laughed.

He immediately knew what you said. You could tell he combed through your options, and, knowing you, knew already what you would pick. “What? Why?” His tone was still calm, but you could feel that he was starting to lose it.

“I mean, it’s either that or I become some hollow shell of a person. You know I’m never giving up my creative freedom for some guy.” You grabbed him by the shoulder, trying to reassure him that everything’ll be alright with just a smile. “I’m better than that.”

“But… you’re gonna die.”

“You think I haven’t thought that through yet?”

“What about our dreams of making it big as a band?”

“I can’t stop the disease, Stan. I’m sure you know that I would’ve tried to get a cure if there was one.” 

As the room fell silent, you felt Stan wrap himself around you. You felt your shirt getting soaked in warm tears. You held him in your arms as well, upset to see him upset.

You never really got to see this side of him growing up. Sure, he was melancholy-ridden ever since you’ve known him. At his core, he was a pessimist. He never really seemed to allow himself to be upset when it came to you, though. It’s like he never wanted to anchor himself onto you. With Kyle, he did it a whole lot. With you, nothing.

You sat there, wondering if you meant anything to him. It’s funny that you still had negative and doubting thoughts like this even when you were sure he loved you unconditionally.

That’s the thing though. Since you only really had Stan growing up, you never really understood how someone could love another person conditionally. You never learned what it’s like to be loved conditionally. You’re sure it hurt, but your lack of experience made you question everything—including the people you love most.

That’s not to negate the fact you loved Stan. Even if you knew you’d never be his in a romantic aspect, you wanted to continue enjoying your time with him. Right now, time was ticking, and you couldn’t just sulk around and contemplate your life. That’s just stupid.

Now seeing him like this, you weren’t going to tell him that you like him. At least not for now. He was most likely in a fragile state, so telling him that you liked him, that he was the reason for all this, would break him. Especially since he’s never seen you the way you saw him.

At the end of it, you found yourself crying as well. You weren’t sure when or how you started crying. It started long before you could process it.

After everything was said and done, you spent the last few weeks of your life in your room. You and your parents concluded dropping out of classes, seeing how you were going most likely going to pass away. Your family was devastated, to put it lightly, but at least they knew what was going to happen. At least they had time to prepare for your untimely demise.

Your condition worsened as time passed. You experienced a lot of weight loss because of how difficult it was to eat. Due to that, you also lost a lot of the muscles in your body. Not being an avid daywalker before all this didn’t seem to help you as well.

Your last few weeks weren’t all too gloomy, though. While you still could, you spent many of your last days jamming with Stan and Kenny. Actually, during one of those last few days, you got to record one of your songs in a studio. The producer Stan got in touch with really seemed to like your work.

When you were back home, it was back to writing songs. As I said, it was the only thing you knew how to do. It was your escape. You wrote about your last days, your feelings about Stan, and other things. They weren’t brooding, you didn’t want to sound edgy, but they were genuine.

It was April 25th. You weren’t aware that that day was going to be your last, but you suspected that it would be anyway.

On that day, you were fixing your songs up, giving them an assortment of lyrics and melodies for them to work with. You didn’t write that much at that point because you were just too physically exhausted and weak to do so.

It was around 9:38 PM when it happened. All it took to take you out were just more flowers to block out your airway. You were coughing a whole lot, that’s for sure. Much blood spilled out of your mouth. You didn’t fight any of it though.

Around 10:15 PM Stan received a call from your mom. He already had an idea what the call would be about, but he wasn’t ready to hear it. 

“Stan?” Your mother’s voice is cracking. He hummed in reply, already knowing what was going to come next. “YN just passed away.”

Even if he knew what was coming, he still felt his heart drop. He would never be able to prepare himself for one of his best friend’s death.

Au where Kyle and Cartman wonder off in china, this is related to what happened to Randy in pandemic special as they were left with no choice but to search for Stan.

Kenny died in the “start” of the episode by being on the plane and some drunk passenger opened the door; the suction sucked Kenny (a couple of other passengers too) outside and he flew inside one of the engines. Kyle said his usual “you bastards” with the absence of Stan’s input.

Kyle was stressing the whole flight and at some point Cartman placed his hand on his to reassured him it’d be okay however Kyle snapped at him and told him to no touch him.

After getting off the plane they pull out the instructions given for where to go; certain areas they had been instructed to look specifically. Kyle was so pissed by this cause he genuinely just wanted to stay home and force Ike to watch tv together but Cartman just had to make a big deal about it and get “them” involved (even tho it was just Cartman dragging Kenny along and casually mentioning it bf Kyle butt in just to not look like an ass friend).

It was just him and Cartman walking for hours in search for items they truly gave zero fucks for feeling like Dora the exploradora just cause Stan depended on their help (surprisingly just Cartman's) and 'just cause Cartman couldn't let Stan down just ONCE'.

Kyle never managed to comprehend the dynamic Stan and Cartman had, neither did he bother to question it before, but he was damn sure that Cartman had always had a preference for Stan over anyone else from their group; respect in a sense. Not that he was jealous or.. bothered. But he did find it weird cause they normally don't hang out often or Stan seems to recoorperate the same sentiment for Cartman.

Actually, Stan will most definitely drop Cartman all together if he was given the chance and as much as it was easy for him to say he'd do the same that was far from the truth as hard it is to admit it. He'll always feel hesitant on dropping Cartman from their group. Someone has to keep close watch on that maniac and he had sacrifice himself for the job.

However, he can't help but feel unappreciated by Cartman because he show no signs on being more caring for him over Kenny and Stan. Or care for whatever thing they got, even being the most involved in his life compared to those two, he swore to god he wasn't jealous it was just unfair sometimes.

Cartman had always let him down in some way, in many ways.. while with Stan (someone who put less effort in him) not.

Anyways, continuing the plot, they scavenged a populated area with Cartman complaining about being too tired and Kyle bitching about it. So at one stop Kyle suggested reluctantly to rest in a fish stand which Cartman just made a gesture of disgust by the smell but Kyle wasn't having it so he threatened it was this or nothing and Cartman just has to settle with that.

Cartman's hunger was hard to ignore as his stomach growled and Kyle couldn't help but feel bad about it (and he was also hungry) so he acted like he was headed to the bathroom but in reality he went to go buy some ramen and beverages. But returning he was greeted with the surprise Cartman wasn't there so he asked the owner of the stand if he saw where he had left but he had nothing much to add but some other kid gesturing Cartman to follow him.

And that's were all Kyle's stranger danger alerts set on and ran in between the crowd desperately looking for Cartman the food and beverages in hand was long gone as he pushed people outta his way.

Kyle's worries grew stronger as he couldn't spot Cartman at all, anxiety bottled up and he felt he was losing air he hasn't gone through this feeling since that time he believed was about to lose Ike in Somalia.

But after almost an hour of desperately looking for him he spotted Cartman seemingly having fun in some arcade and Kyle straight up ran twoards him and punched him really hard in the face knocking him down; sweat pouring down his face, hands as his lip twitched and body shaked.

"WHAT THE F KAHL!???" Cartman whined in a cry as he rubbed childishly his sore eye.

"WHY THE FUCK DID YOU LEAVE ME STRANDED OVER THERE!?"

"AWE was the little ginger jew scared?"

"¡FUCK YOU! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FUCKING LEFT. I THOUGHT THEY KIDNAPPED YOU OR SOME SHIT."

"It's not a big deal, Jr here was literally showing me these cool games," Cartman gesture the small boy who look three years younger then them.

Kyle kept fuming though, "don't leave me like that.." he mustered barely, exasperated and a bit agitated as he sucked in air grabbing his belly.

Cartman's smug face dropped, worried was plastered in his features but immediately covered it up bringing up Stan again.

"Well we gotta get moving, the hippie is gonna nag us if we make him wait any longer with his dumb dad."

"Screw it," Kyle blurted out tired, he gulped, "let's go."

Kyle dragged Cartman by the hand which took him off guard by the abruptness.

"Kahl!! Aye! That fucking hurts it's not funny Kahl let me gooooo!!!"

"NO CAUSE YOU'RE BASICALLY SOME 4 YEAR OLD WHO CAN'T BE LEFT ALONE FOR A SECOND.

I can't risk you wondering off again."

"Why does it even matter we're still gonna be left searching for Mr. Marsh golden weed stash and leave until we find it, might aswell have a little fun while we're at it."

"Was there a need to leave me?"

"... you're no fun, and even if I've had told you, you would've say something along the lines with "no we have to go make sure Stan's okay and blah blah blah"," Cartman mocked with his free hand opening and closing it like a puppet.

Kyle rolled his eyes, much more calmer as he thought for a second; unconsciously squeezing Cartman's hand lightly.

"Alright," he sighed almost defeated, "what do you want to do?"

Cartman eyes lit up and his mouth was left agape, almost speechless; in shock.

He beamed, it almost seemed innocent and Kyle felt his stomach in a twist as his heart skipped a beat.

"I saw these skewl looking claw machines near by!" Cartman exclaimed excitedly, leading the way as they kept holding hands, "I didn't know Chinese people had these type of things aswell, thought they we're boring ass old culture people."

Kyle rolled his eyes once more, "Ofcourse you did, Cartman."

By then on they kept their search going while also stopping a couple of times to enjoy their somewhat tour around China.

And yeah, Stan was left annoyed by how long it took them to get to him as he had to deal with his drunk ass party dad for three days.

Cartman would absolutely LOVE giving Kyle the cringiest nicknames. Because Cartman is sickeningly lovey dovey like that (he truly takes after liane in that regard) and also, making Kyle squirm is basically his life’s calling.

6. Is creek really that great?

Um, yeah I'd say!! I guess it's really based on opinion. At the end of the day, it's very silly, and its origins are of being a crack ship, but I think that's what makes it so unique and fun and compatible with the show's tone!! It's such a fun pay on shipping culture and that's deeply tied to it's in show origins which is really fun (though also a bit disturbing) but doesn't really seem to take away from them naturally growing to like each other either. They DO have a good dynamic that works and we did sort of get to see them grow to be friends and get along better in a cute way.

It feels like the sort of thing that came together for pretty fucked up reasons but lasted because they work!

20. Name what jobs the main 4 will have when they grow up

I have no clue, I always end up giving them different ones. I'll just give some ideas I like:

Stan- Rockstar or alternatively a vet maybe. He technically has a medical degree or something in Post Covid so I think he could get into it!!

Kyle- Love that Kyle is a child psychologist, that's so sweet. I love making him really into computer science also, however. I could see him coding and maybe building/fixing computers as a side gig.

Kenny- SCIENTIST KENNY i can't take this away from him,, this is,,, this is peak Kenny,,, this is all I could ever want or need,,, He's an engineer specifically okay thank you

Eric- i have no CLUE,, business man probably. Though, he might suck at this. Idk, I have trouble seeing him staying in one job in general, most cases. Some sort of con-artist makes sense to me. I think he'd struggle though- Discipline is hard for him.

stan is definitely mike. there is no doubt. it's obvious. their families and lives are basically the same and their personality is pretty much alike! they're both paladins too??? like??? they're both seen as selfish at some point but they're just struggling! they hate feeling vulnerable and are really really stubborn when it comes to arguments. they have this inferiority complex they try to hide with their savior complex and both of them have this extreme fear of not being enough and losing the people they love!

kyle has to be will because he's super best friends in a definitely not gay way with stan (i had to make byler and style happen okay). they're both smart, sweet, love their families, they're done with literally everyone and follow morals and righteousness! maybe will isn't exactly like kyle because he loses his temper over nothing (it often is because of cartman, really) and is able to go to extremes sometimes. but i do think that when they get mad at stan/mike they're pretty much the same! and they fight for what's right and tbh they've been through a lot and they're trying so hard give them a breaaaak

butters is obviously el because he often doesn't understand what's going on and had a pretty shitty life (specifically because of his dad). just like el! they're both kindhearted but they aren't dumb and would do anything for their friends. plus, butters is pretty much bald already so- plus he became a main character only to cover up the fact that kenny was dead (cof cof el appearing when will's missing/dead cof cof)

kenny is max and i KNOW it probably doesn't make sense but hear me out! kenny is the only one who treats butters like he deserves and actually sees him as a person and not some guy they can just use. the way kenny/max act around butters/el is basically the same thing and they both help them get out of their codependent relationships! and kenny is like in a huge coma in between death and life?? hello??? max in S4/5???? and kenny would be the one getting vecna'd and dying duh! tbh their personalities are alike too! they are the cool ones of their group and have strong opinions on people! they have a shitty life too and abuse never stopped them from being heroes.

hear me out do not judge before reading this: cartman is dustin. AND I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING BUT HEAR ME OUT- please forget about everything awful eric does (i know it's hard but please do) and focus on the good stuff! they're both highly intelligent and always make the best plans. they're definitely the brain of the group and can get sarcastic and mean and low-key manipulative if they want. but they're actually sweethearts??? like obviously dustin is kind and sweet but eric is too! sometimes! not too many times tho--- but i swear he is sometimes! and avoiding the fact that the cartman/butters dynamic is toxic af, if you only see the good moments they have and the fact that they're canon bffs it could be similar to dustin/el. i don't agree with most of the things eric does but we gotta admit that when he is on the good team he has awesome ideas but!!! no one!!! hears him!! just like dustin.

tolkien is lucas it's so damn obvious- they have they same arguments with stan/mike because they just don't get to understand their struggles and they never seem to listen to them when they're the voice of the reason most of the time. both tolkien and lucas are pretty logical and goal-oriented and have awesome ideas! they just want to have fun and chill and they're both really really sweet and hilarious! i don't think tolkien is as chaotic as lucas tho?? he's more on the calm side. but i think they're both similar in a lot of other stuff!!

clyde is soooo steve coded! they're both seen as dumb and superficial and cool and everyone thinks they're just the "popular guy" when actually they're so so sweet! they care so much about their friends and they try so hard to make everyone happy!!! even if they focus a lot on dating and image. girls don't really want them for their true selves (they only want steve for his looks and money and clyde because of his dad's job). and they cry and whine for EVERYTHING they're so done give them a break-

craig is so so so so much like robin! they're seen as sarcastic and serious at first but then when they open up they can't shut up. they have the same issue with social cues and they use sarcasm as a coping mechanism A LOT. plus they're clyde/steve's bffs and their dynamic is basically the same. they're highly intelligent and always have the best plans, although they didn't even intend to be there in the first place.

tweek is vickie because i said so and because vickie gives me the adhd/anxious energy tweek has. and because tweek is dating craig and i really really wanted creek to happen in this au.

please forget for a moment that i said mike is stan and just focus on personality here! wendy is so much like nancy! both girlbosses, love journalism, i don't have any proof but nancy was def class president, and both would gladly use a gun if needed. they're so strong and smart and always fight for what's right!! literally the same character. when everyone seems to be against them and their ideas they always fight for their stories! i admire them so much for that

Ayyyy that’s wassup first up Main 5 vs Broken Bottle Quartet!

So in general OJV is more style/m5 centric, especially earlier in the timeline, and the Main 5 all grew up in South Park, attached at the hip frfr

All five of them are extremely attached to each other, which is why when they graduate they all find a house close to campus to hold onto that familiarity from childhood for just a little while longer. Cartman was actually the one to suggest that they live together that first year despite not going to college himself, because OJV Cartman is EXTREMELY opposed to change (I delved into his psyche on that matter before and had a lot of fun thinking abt it lmao you can find some hcs here) that’s why despite caring wholeheartedly for the other four, he’s still an abrasive asshole for the hell of it.

After the group starts getting their footing in the post sp world, they become less reliant on familiarity as a crutch and more of as a comfort. Aside from the couples in the group, their are other pairs that are especially close (Stan and Kenny, Cartman and Marj) Stan and Kenny especially have this extreme unspoken understanding with each other, my beloved Disaster Duo, and of course Cartman and Kyle still butt heads and shoot the shit out of the need to mentally challenge themselves (though not out of any real anger. Most of the time)

Stan and Kyle are ofc the lead players of the OJV, and for sure the most parental in nature of all seven of the main cast, which brings me to:

Their role in the Broken Bottle Quartet.

Broken Bottles From Apartment 2 was an idea that languished in my notes long before I came up with the ojverse, and I knew I wanted it to revolve around a mid 20s Craig and Tweek moving into the same complex as Stan and Kyle.

At this point in their lives, the Quartet is pretty well settled into their careers and their lives (I’ll get into the Tweek of it all in a sec) and Style especially has that Adult Thing going on. Don’t be fooled, they’re still massive losers, but since Stan is a little over two years sober when they meet Creek, they fall into the mentor role really easily, just happy to have new neighbors their age.

Stan and Tweek get really close as the quartet story progresses, and Tweek and Kyle soon after. Craig and Kyle are in the same boat and have things they can bond over and they find that their dissimilar personalities actually work well. The most difficult relationship to form, though?

Craig takes a longggg time to get used to Stan. I’ve said before that ojv Craig is autistic, diagnosed at a young age, and that definitely plays into his struggle getting comfortable with style (new people in general) despite the fact that he doesn’t initially hate them. The thing that first puts him off about Stan is that OJV STAN IS A HUGGER and Craig does nottttt like being touched without his consent. And Stan of course is an awkward sweetheart who just wants to be friends with everyone, so he struggles to find something to bridge that gap.

That bridge comes in the form of a little brown cat. YEP Moose breaks the awkwardness! He’s drawn to Craig because Craig is calm and quiet, and of course that cat is so charming and precious that Craig’s immediately curious to hear his Lore and Stan is THRILLED bc 1) he gets to talk animals 2) he’s having a real conversation with crog.

Boundaries and communication are the FOUNDATION of the Broken Bottles Quartet, as opposed to the Main 5 who have been practically fused together since birth. It’s very much more of an Adult friendship than the Main 5.

As for creek background, they didn’t grow up in sp, or even in the same town as each other, but met in college. They just clicked perfectly, balancing each other out, and their relationship moved really quickly. By the time they meet Stan and Kyle, they’ve been married for about five years. Which brings me to:

The Tweek Of It All.

So when Tweek and Stan have their heart to heart in chapter 5 of BBFA2, he mentions that he’s always been a really anxious person, and Craig was the only one who could get him to really calm down, but a few years after they got married, Tweek’s parents were arrested for being whole ass drug lords. Tweek had no idea about any of it (yeah poor guy did ingest some meth coffee growing up but his parents stopped drugging him at around 10) so when everything came to light, he felt like his entire life had been a lie, pulled out from under him. Suddenly it was all he could think about, and while he’d only been a casual drinker before, now he found that he couldn’t get his brain to shut up again, unless he had enough alcohol in him. It built up over time, and he started hiding it because he convinced himself that he was enough of a burden on Craig already just because of his general mental health issues, so he started to rely on alcohol more than his husband. He was drinking heavily for about two years.

That fic was really important to me in general, but especially the message of sobriety and a support system. I’m SUPER attached to Sober King Stan lmao he’s the CORNERSTONE of the Quartet and Tweek’s healing arc was gratifying to write.

oof I think I'm gonna have to say stendy for this one (again, no hate to stendy shippers, I've seen a lot of cute art for it which I do adore!!) I just really can't imagine stan and wendy having a romantic relationship beyond high school. they seem to bring out the worst in each other when dating, and not even in a fun way. (the exception is of course t4t stendy that shit absolutely rocks 😌). on the other hand, I LOVE stendy as a brotp. they may be fundamentally different people, but the fact that they know each other so well would make them the perfect supportive friends who aren't afraid to call each other out on their bullshit and help them blossom into their best selves. I'm honestly shocked we don't see more of this because I think there's so much story potential for them there!!

OOC:// I hope this is okay, but I've kinda been itching to say that the therapist bojack/ cartman and related threads that I've come across are so cool in concept and really well written on both sides! I definitely enjoy SP for what it is, but something about that dynamic kinda makes me wish it could be more story/ character arc driven like in BJH's storytelling. I don't think SP would ever go in a direction like that (without it ending horribly, especially for cartman), so it has been cool to see that explored.

Also, I'm not entirely sure how to put this into words, but I kinda like how you don't seem to put characters through behind-the-scenes reception arcs via headcanons before writing them. If they canonically have struggled with things or have negative traits, your characters aren't so reformed that those things won't come up or be a problem again. It seems like you stay really true to the idea that characters have the complexity to say and do inexcusable things, but still not have to be written as a story antagonist 100% of the time because of that. It's definitely more interesting when characters don't have to either be watered down into sweethearts, or get completely vilified and live on the fringes of society with no positive connections.

The amazing write of bojack horsman definitely helped with how i write him obviously (: I just like the idea of him having people around to care about him and vice versa as the show kinda ended rather bittersweet with him losing diane ): , though i love the message of accountability and how suicide is not the desirable outcome. people that think it would be better are so not understanding why bojack fans relate toe him i tell ya it aint due to how he treated sarah lynn/penny but more so depression/mother issues /a desire to belive you can be better even after being awful. The idea of bojack being anyone's therapist to cartman to me felt very bizzare even though it was my idea but i thought it be fun. I think on n some level it felt like he would hate the idea but when he's doing well, the advice he has for friends is rather decent mainly in s6 with dianes depression. and being a kids therapist would only work in south park really where they don't care at all about kids security. its def been fun to have him react to the insanity .. he spent his life wanting to be in a sitcom and when hes in one that happens to have mass murderor eric cartman its just too much man he can't cope xd. I find the idea of writing characters as perfect saints or devils to be massively boring, a trend i've eyed in other fandoms example azula has been treated as a misunderstood poor woobie who did nothing wrong ever and abusive ursa/iroh are to blame for her shengaians .. and it drives me crazy. ive also heard tales of zuzos woobification that come off as to me as imperfect victims with anger issues are unloveable if we don't remove their flaws. its very jarring to see angry charactres get turned into soft meowmeows. the south park fandom itself struggles to deal with Stan, Kyle and Butters, even Kenny being less than perfect. Stan being a shitty boyfriend? OOC. Butters being sexist OOC.. despite it being a real occuring trait of his for many many seasons.. as well as his own violent temper issues due to all the abuse he endures but cartman? not being evil and caring for his friends thats OOC.. its a real annoying problem in fandoms something I have zero desire to embrace. I love bojack due to his flaws, not inspite of em flaws make characters more empathiic, if you remove em they become stale and boring.

Also I'm not entirely sure if writing something for cr//eek would be too much of my interest to continue writing cause I tend to try finding fun in a fictional relationship just to keep myself entertained (which is what helps me create more scenerios for them), sometimes it's kinda hard for me to create scenerios in my head for characters/relationships when u have almost any content about them (yeah ik there was like three episodes about them but it's kinda like that's not enough for me😭). Soooo my headcanons ended up being super long, so everything’s under the keep reading bc I be talking and for what lololol

21. Which of their friends/family pokes fun at them for them getting flustered/affectionate?

oh my god are you kidding me? Stan and Kenny never. EVER. Let them live it down. Kyle and Cartman could literally be standing 2 inches apart at the bus stop, nothing’s even happening, and they start making gaging noises and poking fun at them. When they get affectionate, Stan mockingly “awww”s and Kenny almost dies laughing. It’s a defense mechanism tho. it’s how they’re processing the latest evolution in their group dynamic bc wtf.

When Cartman lets a pet name slip thru one day, ohhh it’s over. Their friends (like clyde, butters, etc) immediately say in gross pitched voices “hEy sUgArPiE~” when Kyle walks in a room. Even decent, neutral friends like Jimmy wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to make jokes at their expense.

Ike’s teasing is the most mild out of everyone. Waggling his brows, throwing a shit eating grin, telling Kyle to “Have Fun” in *that* voice whenever he announces he’s gonna hang with Cartman.

22. How do they apologize after arguments?

Kyle and Cartman go through a Whole Thing when they realize they can’t fight their way out of arguments like when they were kids.

Cartman's apologies are stacked in tiers based on how pissed off Kyle was when he left the room.

Kyle grunting and walking off is a category one: Cartman tidies himself up, puts on an outfit he knows Kyle’s likes and hopes for the best.

Kyle thrashing and screaming, punching the air, breaking something, is a category two: Cartman dresses up AND gets him something. Maybe cookies. Makes sure whenever he talks with Kyle, his voice is extra sugary.

A deathly quiet Kyle, rare as it is, is a category three: Kyle is highly likely to kill Cartman. Eric does every thing previously mentioned as well as convince strangers off the street to be backup dancers for a “take the stick out your ass (I’m Sorry I guess)” song he hastily wrote the night before. He believes the extra dazzle in his sorry is enough to keep Kyle from killing him….because ha! there’s witnesses. Kyle can’t do shit. But of course, this only pisses off Kyle more.

Kyle, in absences of pummeling the shit outta Cartman, criticizes him on all the things that he did wrong both in the argument and in his attempt at apologizing, without ever resolving the issue or addressing his own missteps. It leaves Kyle feeling more pent up and stressed than ever.

Kenny and Stan decide to step in and drag them away from each other for some space. and to talk their (ugh) feelings out with their respective best friends, bc they’re more in tune with emotions. And while in their company, they come to the realization where they fucked up and start plotting how to resolve it immediately bc god, it rly sucks to be without each other even for even a short period of time. Cartman’s overinflated ego and Kyle’ pride isn’t enough to overcome that deep, unexplainable need for each other. Despite themselves, they’re willing to try. Sensei Kenny and Stan send them off with approving grins. Though, not without first calling them gaywads for those sentimental words.

Doing anything moral has always been physically taxing for Cartman, taking accountability is no exception. He braces himself against Kyle and buries his face into his neck to keep himself from passing out as he admits his mistakes and what he should do to fix things.

Nothing on earth soothes Kyle’s fiery heart like a Cartman displaying humility. The cloud of his anger dispels and he’s able to see clearly how they can tackle the issue together. It doesn't take a lot to solve it though. Because usually, these huge arguments snowball from the smallest shit. This long winded answer to this ask stemmed from Cartman farting in Kyle’s face one too many times and thinking it was hilarious.

29. What is something they can never agree on? How do they meet in the middle?

Family Guy. Kyle likes watching it and, hey, he’s not gonna stop streaming it from Hulu when Cartman invites himself over. Cartman writhes and moans and his complaints drowns Peter Griffin’s nasally voice, even when Kyle turns up the volume to 100.

It’s more than Kyle watching the show in Cartman’s presence. It’s the fact that Kyle still compares the show’s humor to Cartman’s. He finds it deeply insulting, and his paranoia flares up. If Kyle is unable to distinguish Cartman’s sensibilities from Peter fucking Griffin, could Kyle also be severely misunderstanding Cartman in general? Is their entire relationship still operated on miscommunication, misunderstanding, as it was when they were younger?? His fragile heart can’t take it. He refuses to believe Kyle doesn’t know him as much as he thought he did.

So he tears a gate into imaginationland (sans song) and tries inserting himself into an episode in an attempt to one up its characters and make Kyle laugh harder. Kyle follows behind to stop him just in time, of course.

He’s fucking pissed that Cartman was, once again, acting out because he was insecure. He notices though, Cartman never once threatened anybody, nor operated on ultimatums. He was as civil as Cartman could be. Kyle asks why he didn’t simply try to kill Peter Griffin and Cartman rolls his eyes. Cause, duh, he’ll never understand it but the show matters to Kyle. Killing its main character would be a dick move and he doesn't want Kyle after his ass. The next best thing was to try and be a part of what he loved and make him laugh. And that mindless comment sends Kyle over the moon.

Kyle agrees to never bring up Family Guy, or compare it to Eric. and Eric in turn, stabilizes the space time continuum just in time for dinner. and stops making snide comments about Family Guy around Kyle too, or whatever.
