Sweet Child Micro Writing Notes!

So Kikimora and Hunter had a nice chat.

A chat where Kiki dissected all of Hunter’s insecurities and fears about himself and his becoming a father — and he struck back with the fact that she’s in prison and he's going to do everything he can to make sure she stays there.

Spoilers below!

Kiki manages to elicit a temper from Hunter and when he reacts she tells him that he is just like Belos -- challenging him to raise a child without that coming out in his parenting methods.

It hits.

But then, Hunter hears Kiki question Willow's faithfulness (even though she claims she's never met Willow, likely trying to avoid the topic that she's had her ass handed to her by the plant witch several times).

Hunter knows Willow loves him. He's secure in this and it helps him push through.

He gets some nasty information regarding the Miki Ultra and what it could have been.

Kikimora admits that Darius hit the breaks on it, but that he did indeed allow her to go pretty deep into what it could do. She also implies that the strain used on Hunter and the others in Nilsville was given deliberately to a mysterious person to be used on Hunter -- implying that the first time he'd met the Keepers (and the False Golden Guard) was not by chance.

Kikimora is also very certain that one way or another she will be pardoned for her crimes and released to make life for Hunter and his family very difficult.

She also reveals that the grimwalker book Darius had given Hunter, the one from which he'd been trying to get answers about the nature of himself and his child , is one of four. She's read them of course -- and she's pretty sure that Darius has the others.

Wearily, Hunter leaves to join Willow and Viney in the Department of Intelligence medical facilities for the exam he'd granted Darius. The one meant to tell if the Miki Ultra is still affecting him after all these months.

He's determined to discuss with Darius what he's discovered -- but ends up walking straight into yet ANOTHER secret that's been plaguing him for a while now.

How much can his trust actually be shaken before he loses it all together?

Beloses hand patted your head and you smiled at the attention before you looked away eyes downcast. Hunter glances at you seeming worried and you just nod indicating your alright. Beloses hand leaves your head and you focus on the meeting as it begins.

"Coven attendance has been higher than ever, more and more have decided to join the coven system. Wild witches are becoming an abnormality." Everyone cheers and you clap politely before the meeting continued.

You and Hunter had been granted the prestigious privilege of getting to sit in on a meeting typically reserved for Head coven members, yet here you both were on either side of Belos listening in as they discussed complicated matters that you barley understood.

Seeing EmberWolf across the table with her Beast Keeping insignia you stared longingly. Originally you had wanted to be in the Beast Keeping Coven and work under her. You'd connected with Beasts/Demons from a young age and having grown up in a family that raised beasts you always assumed you'd join that coven. However when you tried out for a higher position in the Beast Keeping Coven, the Emperor had other plans for you. Not that the Emperor's Coven wasn't great but it was a lot of pressure and you constantly worried about letting Belos down or disappointing Hunter. Kikimora and Lilith also seemed to have it out for you and it was just a lot for someone who never expected so much.

Belos believed in you, he invited you to live in his castle, to be apart of his coven. But there were days especially ones like this with long meetings and boring discussions where you wished for something more freeing. More wild.

You missed brushing out gryphon hair/feathers, going on long flights or walks, using magic to capture and than tame beasts, casting spells to help them, trimming claws for various creatures, and giving belly rubs and snacks to your favorite beasties back at your families sanctuary. You missed doing things you genuinley enjoyed. Since joining the Emperor's Coven you hadn't had a moment to visit family or check in on your animals. You were constantly around the Emperor training or learning or doing various other tasks.

"(Y/N)." Stiffening you turn and look at Belos realizing you hadn't been paying attention at all for what was likley several minutes. All the coven heads were staring at you waiting and you swallowed not sure what you missed as you had zoned out. The emperor chuckled and you knew with anything else he'd be impatient and angry but with you he simply repeated his question. "What do you think?" Eyes widening in panic you look at the plans to capture the rebels and have them indoctrinated into covens. Scanning it frantically you swallow.

You didn't know.

Things like this didn't make any sense to you and you felt unsure of why the rebels even needed to be captured. The coven systems brought order but Wild witches didn't actually hurt anyone. Infact you think you might have some wild witch cousins who went into hiding. Sometimes when it came to nature and the order of things you just needed things to play out.

Glancing at Hunter in his Golden Guard uniform hoping for help he simply nodded and you straightened before nodding back.

"I agree." You state and the room doesn't seem so tense as coven heads nod and begin to speak to each other. The Emperor simply hums before he pats your head again.

"You heard them, we have our plan of action." He states. You smile but your sure Belos and Hunter don't miss the way you look at EmberWolf rather than them.
