How do we balance between "making the world a better place and setting up laws to improve it (utopia)" and "knowing this world is temporary and things are only going to get worse (dystopia)"? For context, I believe that the peace or pain we go through don't really matter because there's a spiritual war that's bigger than us. So do world improvements even matter? Doesn't Revelation say Satan is going to wreck it all anyway? I'd love to hear other opinions since we may not see end times the same.
This is a good question. It deserves a better answer than I am about to give it.
When I read the Bible, I see a lot that talks about the way we live in this life. I see “The Kingdom of Heaven” as the manifestation of our enacting all righteous instruction. In other words, the more righteous we allow God to make us, the more truly the Kingdom (rule) of Heaven has come to us.
To that extent, all our actions towards justice, fairness, kindness, mercy, and the acceptance of others who are different to us are part of the manifestation of God’s will for humanity. Actions founded in love and compassion for others are the evidence of what is commonly called the new birth.
Our time in this world is temporary and none of us knows how long we have left. For as long as there are those who are salt and light - preserving what is good (utopia) and showing what is true - what is wrong and bad (dystopia) cannot be manifested. Better to pass into the next life having been rich in good works, righteousness and friendships than to bury what we have for fear of losing it.
As for what Revelation says, scholars and wise men debate it to this day. My understanding of that book is limited. However right here and right now we have the opportunity to be kind, gentle and merciful. We should seek to show loving-kindness, charity, and righteous behaviour today for tomorrow is not promised to us. Yes, all things pass away this does not stop the flowers of the field bringing forth beauty while they can.
Jesus taught that those that God will call His are the ones that cared for those in need. Making the world a better place must surely be a part of that. Improving the lives of those around us is how we defeat the forces of evil.
When our lives are filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control how can we do otherwise than to make the world a little better?
I would love to read other takes or opinions on this question and my rather limited answer. Over to you.

Darling don't you understand I feel so ill at ease The room is full of silence and it's getting hard to breathe Take this gilded cage of pain and set me free Take this overcoat of shame It never did belong to me It never did belong to me
I need to go outside I need to leave the smoke 'Cause I can't go on living in the same sick joke It seems our lives have taken on a different kind of twist Now that you have given me the perfect gift You have given me the gift
For we have fallen from our shelves To face the truth about ourselves And we have tumbled from our trees Tumbled from our trees
And I can almost I can almost hear the rain falling Don't you know it feels so good So let's go out into the rain again Just like we said we always would

There has been a slew of massive earthquakes over the past week or so. Do not turn a blind eye to this.
"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains."

Matthew 24:36 ESV “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
Matthew 24:42 ESV Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
Matthew 24:3 ESV As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?”
Matthew 24:13 ESV But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
2 Peter 3:10 ESV But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.
Revelation 3:11 ESV I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.

The most anticlimactic end to Nagash’s narrative arc would be a Jezzail capping him right between the eyes with a warpstone bullet just as he’s about to ascend to godhood

I'll be honest, I'm not the best at asks. So what's something you want to be asked about? Or what's a topic that you want/love to ramble about but rarely get the opportunity to?
It has taken me two days to come up with an answer to this because I mean, there’s lots of stuff I’d love to talk about but I don’t want to annoy anyone with by posting and I couldn’t come up with anything good. But now I have it! I’ve been wanting to talk about this anyway, and I do love to ramble about it.
It is
The book of Revelation.
That’s right. The last, most easily misunderstood, and my favorite, book of the Bible. I studied it in college and have been re-studying it recently, because I see a lot of misinformation floating around about it and the end times in general and darn it I want to help people understand! Revelation’s not just a big scary book where God ends the world and judges mankind- I mean, those things happen, but they’re not the POINT. The point is that God wins! God literally told us that he wins and that Satan will be defeated! And that should give us HOPE! Revelation is supposed to cause hope, not fear and despair! It is also a call to arms for Christians to fight in spiritual battles and do our best to save people’s souls because there WILL be a judgement.
However, Revelation is often taken out of the context of the whole Bible, and also history, and therefore people see it as confusing and bizarre. People misunderstand that it was written both for us now and for John’s listeners in our past, so the book has multiple meanings! And also, the entire book of Revelation doesn’t deal with just the great big final judgement, it deals with judgements of peoples, countries and cultures who disobey God and invoke his wrath up until the final judgement. Those are what I like to call “mini-judgements” or, “partial judgements”, if you like. The Seal and Trumpet judgements are partial (the “4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse” would more accurately be called “the 4 Horsemen of the mini-Apocalypses”). The Bowl judgements, however, are all-encompassing, and thus part of the final judgement. Thus, Revelation meant something for John’s readers in the past, means something to us in the present, and will mean something different to the people in the future! Because this stuff happens over and over again throughout history.
Also 95% of the book is imagery that represents what something IS like instead of what it LOOKS like, which also seems to confuse people a lot. It’s written in the same way Daniel 7-8 is, which is a genre known as “apocalyptic literature”. Which is why its so wildly different from most of the Bible. People in John’s time knew this and would have understood it, but again, we tend to take Revelation out of context and thus make it harder to understand.
OKAY, well, as you can see I truly do love to talk about Revelation, so if anybody has questions about it please feel free to ask them! I do not have all the answers but I did study this book in a college class for a whole semester and have a lot of good books about it. And I love explaining and helping people understand things!
(And whether or not anybody asks me questions I will probably talk about it again because I love it.)

This is totally random but I wanna ask what will happen during the end times? You said everything will collapse on each other but I just can't visualise it, also, will it end in this century, more specifically within my lifetime? I'm 19 btw.
Okay so like. the world will be saved. But it will still go through an apocalypse of sorts. I've talked about this alot in my diary and on my other blog but. The world has been going through the current end times for a little bit. Every religion is getting a slice of the pie, it's not just Christianity despite what some are saying. I'm currently writing a book about it, but that's all personal and its fiction so it's irrelevant to this conversation. Well, as far as you know.
The earth is probably going to be fine all things considered. The end times the way it was told to me, by some pretty high up angels, cus I work with those, is that alot of people think it's much more literal then it's going to be. It's much more subtle. It's like a covert, secret ass apocalypse. We have atleast 8 years counting. In fact several people won't even realize we're in the end times, outside of maybe several norse pagans and christian fundamentalists. Yuck!
People aren't going to be zapped out of their clothes and brought up to heaven I'll tell you that. Certainly not left behind like in christian literature. The prophet thing is true. But the mark of the beast shit? Not what you think either but I'm not getting into that here. All christians wish to be a martyr. Sexy sexy martyrs. I joke but in all honesty, this thing- the apocalypse it's not happening in any bold way the way everyone is expecting it to. But is happening. Everywhere is in danger though. It's not just earth. This is so much bigger than earth. But that's for me and the gods to worry about. Not random users on tumblr.
I'm basically working with my gods, via spiritual worlds to save this planet. It's exhausting. I'm doing alot. But I'm a human. You here me HOOMAN. But as I always say. Don't worry earth is going to be fine. This is not the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last.

'“Beauty will save the world” ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Idiot
Dostoevsky not only preached, but, to a certain degree also demonstrated in his own activity this reunification of concerns common to humanity–at least of the highest among these concerns–in one Christian idea.
Being a religious person, he was at the same time a free thinker and a powerful artist. These three aspects , these three higher concerns were not differentiated in him and did not exclude one another, but entered indivisibly into all his activity. In his convictions he never separated truth from good and beauty; in his artistic creativity he never placed beauty apart from the good and the true.
And he was right, because these three live only in their unity. The good, taken separately from truth and beauty, is only an indistinct feeling, a powerless upwelling; truth taken abstractly is an empty word; and beauty without truth and the good is an idol. For Dostoevsky, these were three inseparable forms of one absolute Idea.
The infinity of the human soul–having been revealed in Christ and capable of fitting into itself all the boundlessness of divinity–is at one and the same time both the greatest good, the highest truth, and the most perfect beauty.
Truth is good, perceived by the human mind; beauty is the same good and the same truth, corporeally embodied in solid living form.
And its full embodiment–the end, the goal, and the perfection–already exists in everything, and this is why Dostoevsky said that beauty will save the world.'
