guys i know we're all focused on the quite literal things that are in the water this season. but what - and I mean, the fuck - is in the metaphorical AND literal water for Iskall and Beef in particular???? what is wrong with either of them (affectionate). both as individuals and when in contact with one another. cannot get enough of their episodes currently
losing it at both their POVs. their interactions have been some of my favorite things ever actually. big salmon is watching btw

S3 is so good in many ways, but some of my favourite ways are the dynamics
- the fallout between Allison and Viktor feels so real and painful on each end of the dynamic
- Klaus and Reggie? Need I say more?
- Five and Lila being frenemies (I love them so much)
- the Luther and Reginald dynamic!!!! It might have been a quieter thread through S3 but it definitely made itself known especially in 3x08/3x09 and I wanna scream about it so much
- Diego and Stan - just the idea of some kid from 1989 being like sure I'll fuck over a guy I've never met and Diego immediately adopting said kid, no notes
- Sparrow Ben and literally any of the Umbrellas - my dude my guy my emotionally stunted idiot and the embodiment of chaos family bonding:)

okay. i need to rewatch the episode probably but i think my current feeling is that i like most of it a lot (rome, ken, the siblings not getting ceo, etc), think the tom ceo makes sense from a logical/character perspective but not sure how i feel about it from a broader more thematic lens (altho i'm leaning towards fine with it), and am very mixed on shiv's ending because i think it's well-conceived and meaningful from a broader thematic lens (shiv becomes her mother, the cycle always repeats, etc) but doesn't quite make sense to me from a logical/character one -- it could've worked, it could've worked brilliantly, but it was far too rushed and forced. it makes sense as an ending for shiv, but not her next step. i'm largely talking about her decision to return to tom, not her decision to vote against kendall (which i think should've been executed better and given more space but can understand given her character, mostly). i'm fine with it as an ending for shiv, but what i'm struggling to stomach is the way it played out -- it didn't feel like a choice the shiv we know would've made. it's an ending that makes sense thematically and for her character arc, but not a decision that makes sense for her character at present. that's kinda where i'm at right now

Currently feel like I'm mostly normal about Fantasy High Junior Year -
But I'm really hoping this next episode is where I start to feel unhinged about it

Episode 4 is my favorite so far. Live blogging thoughts beneath the cut.
FUCK YES S1 GAMORA'S STORY. This immediately makes up for my ep 3 mehs.
FUCK YES 2012 AVENGERS TONY.
THE GRANDMASTER, YES <3
TONY'S RELIEF UPON SEEING PEPPER. MY HEART.
Tony saying he put his party days behind him--again, MY HEART.
Only 4 mins into the ep and all I can think is that the writers are doing a damn good job with this Tony.
Valkyrie!!!!!!! MY LOVE, YAS!
Tony saying the following to GAMORA, of all characters, got me in the feels: "Victory? Glory? People died. I lost a friend. Do you know what it's like to see your home world destroyed? Almost brought to its knees by a madman?"
TONY HEARING THE GRANDMASTER SAY HE WASN'T A HERO BUT A NASTY MAN AND THEN TONY NOT ZAPPING GAMORA!!!!!!!!
SDKFJALDJSFSALDJFLAJDF
I LOVE THIS EP. LOVE.
Tony & Valkyrie kicking ass together is a vibe <3
BAMF Gamora <3 yasssss
Tony building shit <3 with a lil fuzzy critter on his shoulder <3
...how does Tony know campground rules 🤨 Howard did not take him camping. My first thought was Rhodey, but I bet it was Jarvis. FEELS. 😥
Grandmaster calling Gamora a moppet of Thanos and finishing that exchange with "Daughter, really? [scoffs] Sure, I'll stick to that story, too," was fucking brutal. Fantastic writing here, too, showing Gamora outside perspectives on her father and their relationship.
I want to give a huge fucking hug to whoever wrote this Tony because I love him. 100% spot on for what I'd expect from 2012 Tony after surviving, realizing Pepper was safe, and figuring out he might be able to get home. No perving, no giving into hedonism--only righteous anger for others being treated badly. Respecting and trusting and bonding with the individuals he meets <3 Tony's so charismatic and this is showcased perfectly. AND ACKNOWLEDGING HIS DADDY ISSUES AND TRYING TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE WITH THEIR OWN?? I JUST. MY. HEART.
Jeff Goldbum has so much fun with Grandmaster and it shows <3
The feels when Gamora gave Tony her name <3
King Valkyrie of Sakaar, yassssss.
Tony needing to get home to Pepper... AGAIN, MY HEART.
Tony and Gamora bonding and having each other's backs and taking down Thanos??? FUCK YES.
I loved this ep. As a Tony fan, this ep went HARD and it did not have to do that but it did and I just. jfdlajsflajsd. FLAILS, FEELS, ALL THE THINGS.

the new reverse 1999 event story is SO good!! i'm still blown away by the storytelling in this game, it's rare for me to keep reading everything after the first few... days (lol) of picking up a gacha but from day one to now i've been reading all the things
i think while the stories aren't necessarily super special/original/revolutionary or anything like that, they're nice and comfortable executions of familiar tropes (especially well done in this event where it's clearly deliberately tropey) that i really enjoy
and imo the translation has improved again, especially in the early chapters of the story. the first i think... two chapters? were like nearly perfect and a pleasure to read
there were still typos and errors littered throughout, but i feel like they've grown much more scarce. so really kudos to the team for making improvements on that front, and hopefully they keep it up!
(eta: unfortunately the tooth fairy side story still seems quite bad in terms of translation... fingers crossed these don't get neglected in the future because they seem pretty important for character lore)

I've only watched the first nine episodes of the fan sub of the Katrielle Layton anime, but I've cried at about half of them and the thing is that, so far, all of them have just been about love. And not necessarily romantic love, but the love between estranged brothers, childhood friends, parents and children - even episodes that don't seem like it, like the Ratman one, are about love. The love a child feels for his heroes. The love a father feels for his family. Or the one with the jewel thefts, that was just someone trying to protect the community that they love.
It is all love.

I personally am so happy that the episode was all a dream because I’m okay with there not being macdennis but if they had confirmed Dennis as a killer i would have been devastated. I do wish they’d explore more of his emotions tho- especially since Glenn has said he misses playing those colors. Like he’s got Big Feelings! This was more of his rage- but it’s a step up that he was able to curb that rage I guess?
Also people are saying it’s joever for macdennis but like… they didn’t fight or anything right? They’re still super close- and remember Frank vs Russia? That’s still a thing
Disclaimer I’ve just been seeing people’s post about it I haven’t watched this ep but I do wish it wasn’t the finale or they’d at least end it with a scene of the gang together
