Hi Can I Order An Angst Where The Hashira's Father Figure Is Very Sick And About To Die How Would They Deal With This Loss?
An: for the fathers I go with their occupation from other fics.
Mitsuri's ff is a Baker. Giyuu and Rengoku's is a retired hashira. Shinobu's is a doctor. Obanai, muichirou, sanemi and tengen are people from their past.
--------------
Rengoku
After retiring you had become bed ridden.
The mark took it's toll on you but that wasn't going to stop you from celebrating your last birthday.
You gather the rengoku's and had a small party. You wanted no one to cry, so they didn't.
After the party was over you went into your room for your final night. You wrote letters to everyone you knew saying goodbye.
Tengen
It started off as a small fever that unfortunately got worse.
It was constant ups and downs. Some days you could walk around others you were bedridden. You could barely lift a finger of those days.
Sanemi
He used to distance himself from you but when he heard you were sick he moved you to his house.
He spent everyday he could with you. He even got along with genya in front of you.
When you passed he drowned himself in work. Not stopping to breathe.
It was a sad sight to see.
Obanai
You were his rock. When he herd you were sick he couldn't believe it.
You who had helped him at his lowest.
Now it was his turn to help you.
He did the best he could till you suddenly died.
Once again he still couldn't believe it.
Gyomei
Being blind, gyomei couldn't see that you were sick but he knew that something was wrong.
You never told him cause you didn't want to worry him. That's how it became serious.
You did go to shinobu but your illness wasn't detectable in its early stages. By the time she knew what was wrong it was too late.
Muichirou
He tries to get you up and moving every day, and everyday you have to explain to him that your body it slowing down.
He knew but he wanted to act like he didn't. Everyday it was the same routine.
You told him, he would help in anyway he could then he would go on missions.
When you died he cried in private nearly everyday.
Your memory of his fading with each day.
Giyuu
This happened before giyuu became a hashira.
You were the hashira of (element) and you had gained a demon mark at the age of 20.
You told him he could be the next water hashira and to meet a teacher on top of a mountain.
He spent most his days with you.
On your 25th birthday he made you a cake.
He watch you stop breathing that night.
In the morning he set off towards the mountain.
Shinobu
She knew before you knew but that didn't change the fact that she couldn't help you.
She sat by your bed everyday just to talk.
It took a big toll on her focus, she constantly thought about your illness and how to help you.
In the end you told her there was nothing that could be done and to stop worrying over it.
You died peacefully in your sleep.
Mitsuri
She came back from a mission to your bakery being closed with a framed picture of you place neatly with flowers surrounding it.
She didn't know what to think.
One minute you were there to wish her well then when she came back you were gone.
She still went by your shop before every mission.

Giyuu, Mitsuri, Rengoku and Shinobu with a foreign S/O
Request: Hello can u do the hashier w a y/n who is arab or like forgin @bedouin-rainbow
A/N: Thanks for the request, I decided to just go with a foreign s/o as I don’t know much about Arabic culture. Also I was a bit selective with which Hashira I did.
Warnings: no beta,
Fandom: Kimetsu No Yaiba: Demon Slayer
Genre: Headcanons
Pronouns: They/Them
Tumblr media
Giyuu Tomioka:
Couldn't care less about the fact that your foreign
Not in a mean way, he’s just encountered way weirder things than a person from another country
If he picks up on you feeling homesick he’ll ask you about your home
Tries his best to help if you struggle with Japanese
Rengoku Kyoujuro:
Super excited to meet someone from outside of Japan
Shares recipes with you
He's a pretty good teacher if your struggling with Japanese
Likes to take you sightseeing whenever he has the chance
Mitsuri Kanroji:
Also really excited to meet a foreigner
She's constantly asking you questions about your home country, culture and the food
Really likes any of your home cooking and is always excited to try something new
Not the best teacher there is but she tries to help if you have trouble with Japanese
Most likely to try and learn your native language to try to impress you
Shinobu Kocho:
A little distrustful, not because you're foreign but because you're a new person
Likes to have chats about your culture and shares some insight about Japanese culture as well
Is a really good language teacher, but she's busy a lot of the time.
Another thing she likes to talk to you about is the plants from your homeland
Also very likely to try and learn your native language to try and make you feel more comfortable

What YouTube accounts would Demon Slayer Characters have?
Tanjiro
-He would post motivational quotes and vids on yt shorts
-He would also accidentally post something really controversial and make everyone angry
-He would use all the "gen z lango" to appeal to more audiences but just become cringy💀
Nezuko
-She would be a kid's YouTuber
-Would probably post life hacks or how to make things with "simple household items"
-Maybe Tanjiro wouldn't even let her have a YT
 Channel
Inosuke
-Life Survival Hacks 💀
-He would do those vids of people surviving with only a loom bracelet or something like that
-He would also be that one YouTuber to go missing mysteriously for a few months and cause an entire investigation, only to be found living with wild bears in a cave
-So many controversial things would be said in his vids tbh and it's all just a bunch of screaming  and nonsense
Zenitsu
-All I can say is that he would be that one person who is constantly commenting on others vids and being overly obnoxious
-Def if it's a women's vid
Rengoku
-Muckbang
-that's all I gotta say
Shinobu
-Honestly I feel like she would be one of those ASMR channels
-Her voice is just so soothing
Mitsuri
-One of those gorgeous fashion influencers!!
-But she will most definitely be the one who doesn't censor any of her content (like she shows her pores and facial hair because she is a queen and promotes natural beauty✨)
-Girly would sadly get a lot of hate because of her revealing clothing :(
-But she has loyal fans too
Giyuu
-I'm pretty sure he would be a self defense teacher
-Like the ones who thoroughly explain how to not die and cool shiz like that
-Fangirls everywhere🙃
Tengen
-He would be one of those podcast guys
-The ones who are always like, "Bro, but I bet you didn't know this!" And then go on to state a completely obvious fact
-Rengoku would feature on here so much ngl
Haganezuka👺
-One of those welding channels
-He would also do those odd but really cool transition vids with his swords and stuff
Muzan
- https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC5OrDvL9DscpcAstz7JnQGA

Lady mitsuri how has rengokus passing been affecting you? My version of you wouldnt even accept slayer missions until 4 months after the fact.
"oh.. Um.." she mumbled. All the thoughts she had before had flew out of her head. The passing of her former teacher was truly heartbreaking, and she sent her love and hope to the rengoku family.
"Rengoku-san's passing has been... Effective over me. At first, I was thunderstruck and appaled at the news my crow had told me. It wasn't easy knowing the person who helped you, ate with you, is gone. He was my teacher after all." she said bit continued.
"I had requested for a break, and so did some other hashiras. I'm not sure how long, but I know it was a long time that I stayed off, before I had to keep strong for him, that's what he would say to me in these situations."

This is gonna be a lot so I hope you don’t mind
I like to think shinobu and tengen have this thing called “rich bitch do dumb shit day”. And it’s just them being the richest hashira (tengen obviously being second to the doctor).Going on shopping spree’s, eating a bunch of stuff for no reason, and getting absolutely WASTED.(he thinks she can use the fun every once in a while) But mitsuri and obanai have NO IDEA that it exists, in fact none of the hashira do (except rengoku because tengen accidentally told him about it). And the only way they find out about it is when they go looking for her to join them for lunch, but they can’t find her. Worried they go around asking all the hashira if they have seen her, but they can’t find tengen either. So they go ask his best friend (rengoku obviously) and without thinking he goes “oh! I think they might be having their annual rich day, or something like that!” And immediately pause at what he has just said. In a panic he just excuses himself and runs off as obanai and mitsuri stand they’re confused, but they have a plan. They’re gonna wait in her office until she gets home. Now this is where you come in, what do you think they say to her? I’ve been thinking and I need a second opinion.
that's so funny. i love headcanons of the hashira interacting since we rarely see some of them talk. i like to think tengen repeatively tries to get shinobu to let him babysit the butterfly girls as "practice for when he has children of his own" and she has yet to let him due it. she has caught him trying to kidnap them on more than one occasion.
this could also kinda work in a modern au where maybe tengen is a psychology teacher and so he and mitsuri get along quite well despite him being the most obnoxious dude alive and her being so quite and kind and also married to the so lovely and sweet art teacher. also i just get the vibe obanai hates him just a little bit so even funnier.

All Strongest Demon Slayer Characters: Ranked At The End of Manga
Tumblr media
From Muzan to Yoroichi, there are a number of strong characters in Demon Slayer, but who is the strongest demon slayer character? We will get to that. In case you do not know the story of Demon Slayer, it is about a young man named Tanjiro Kamado who lives in the highlands with his family. After his father passed away, he took over the role of family provider by traveling to the surrounding hamlet to sell charcoal. His world came down, crushing, when one day he came back only to find that a monster had attacked and killed his family. The only survivors of the catastrophe were Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko, who, although being changed into a demonic creature, surprised everyone by still displaying human thoughts and emotions. Tanjiro is taken to his former teacher Sakonji Urokodaki for preparation in order to become a demon slayer after meeting Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. This begins Tanjiro's mission to aid his sister in becoming human once more and avenge the deaths of his family. Tanjiro participates in a difficult exam following 2 years of arduous practice and is one of the few people to survive, earning him a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. Accompanying Nezuko, who has recently been hypnotized to cause no harm to humanity and who occasionally assists him in a fight, he begins his mission of locating and eliminating demons. One of Tanjiro's tasks takes him to Asakusa, where he meets Muzan Kibutsuji, the originator of all demons and the person who killed his family. He also encounters Tamayo and Yushiro, two demons who have escaped Muzan's influence. Also Read: 29 Strongest Naruto Characters Ranked: From Heroes to Villans 25 Strongest Demon Slayer Characters Ranked: All of the Fan Favorites There will be a total of 25 characters on the list. They will be listed in order of strength, with the first one being by far the toughest and the 25th one representing the lowest. 25. Kaigaku "Until you die, you haven't lost. You may rub your face in the dirt... you may lose your home or drink muddy water... people may curse you for stealing money... but as long as you live on... you can win someday. You will win. I have moved forward with that belief." - Kaigaku. Kaigaku is incredibly strong because he belongs to the Upper Ranks. Kaigaku is an exceptionally lethal demon due to his mastery of the sword and his proficiency as a Demon Slayer. Users of Total Concentration Breathing are much more resistant to the consequences of the Demon King's blood, which is demonstrated by the fact that Kaigaku needed a significant amount of Muzan Kibutsuji's blood to turn into a demon.  Zenitsu also pointed out that Kaigaku had consumed a lot of humans in the brief time between both the Hashira Training Arc and the Infinity Castle Arc, farther and farther attesting to his strength. 24. Enmu "All human hearts are the same. So fragile and weak, like glasswork." - Enmu Enmu was the most powerful Lower Rank one and came the closest to approaching the power of the Upper Ranks. His skills were significantly improved after taking additional blood from Muzan Kibutsuji. The extent of Enmu's capacity to transfigure was demonstrated whenever he was able to combine with a train-sized vehicle. Moreover, he was able to put over 200 people on the Mugen Train, notably notables like the Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to sleep and make them defenseless nearly entirely because of his unusual blood demonic art based on sleep. Enmu was capable of maintaining his own in direct conflict against Tanjiro Kamado, who'd already learned Total Concentration and Constant and was adept at dodging his sword strikes and routinely driving the Demon Slayer to sleep with spells.  23. Mitsuri Kanroji "Is it okay for a girl to be this strong? I still worry that someone may ask that, as though I'm not human. In my fear, I was suppressing my strength. But not anymore. Leave this to me. I will protect everyone."- Mitsuri Kanroji Mitsuri is an extremely strong and adept combatant as a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Kyojuro Rengoku deems it exceptional that she finished the Final Selection in just six months of preparation. Her skills were put to the test in the Swordsmith Village arc when she swiftly subdued and vanquished a cluster of demons summoned by Upper-Rank Five, Gyokko, and later played a significant role in the battle against Upper-Rank Four, Hantengu, particularly against his clone, "Zohakuten," which retains the mighty power of four Upper-Rank demons. Till dawn, Mitsuri managed to hold off the extraordinarily strong Upper Rank with the aid of her Demon Slayer Mark. 22. Shinobu Kocho "I once believed that the road of happiness continued forever and ever into the distance. When it was destroyed, I realized for the first time that it lies upon a thin sheet of glass." - Shinobu Kocho Shinobu is an extremely strong and adept fighter who serves as a Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps. Shinobu uses her resourcefulness, inventiveness, as well as other physical capabilities in order to make up for her lack of the physical power necessary to cut off a demon's head like an average Demon Slayer. Shinobu chooses to utilize a specialized katana that functions as a stinger to inject deadly Wisteria venom, which is toxic to demons, instead of the conventional technique of killing a demon by brutally murdering it with a Nichirin Sword. She is incredibly swift and nimble, in addition to being intelligent, which gives her a quick advantage over demons. Her ability to go toe-to-toe with demons, even trying to manage to overwhelm him slightly and win Doma's admiration, demonstrated her actual might during her encounter with the second-most potent Upper-Rank demon. 21. Kanao Tsuyuri "Somehow, I feel the people I care for and those important to me will still be alive tomorrow. But that's just my hope, and there's no way I can promise that with any certainty. Why do people... believe such things?" - Kanao Tsuyuri Kanao has received individualized instruction in the art of fighting from both Kanae and Shinobu, who is her Tsuguko. Kanao might eventually join the Demon Slayer Corps' Hashira because of her incredible physical proficiency and other physical capabilities. Kanao's abilities are further supported by the testimony of Tanjiro, another prospective candidate, who claims that even before they had even met, he could tell that she was the most similar to Hashira of all the Demon Slayers simply from smelting her and sensing her aura. 20. Inosuke Hashibira "Don't cry even if you have regrets! No matter how pathetic or humiliated you feel, you still have to go on living!"- Inosuke Hashibira Inosuke is an extremely gifted and knowledgeable swordsman because, despite receiving no professional training, he was capable of learning Total Concentration Breathing on his own, creating Beast Breathing, his own breathing technique based on his instincts and his early life among wild boars in the hills, and win the Final Selection to develop into a Demon Slayer. Inosuke is well capable of pursuing and eliminating demons on his own, as evidenced by the ease with which he dispatched the Horned Demon. He has demonstrated on numerous occasions that he is capable of competing and making a contribution in battles with the Twelve Kizuki's Upper-Rank demons, including Upper-Rank Six Gyutaro and Daki and the considerably more powerful Upper-Rank Two Doma. He is also highly gifted, with extraordinary dexterity, otherworldly reflexes, and an innate knack for warfare. Most astonishingly, Inosuke and his allies were able to repel Muzan, the Demon King, while sharing the same level of combat prowess as Hashira, the best swordsman amongst Demon Slayers. 19. Zenitsu Agatsuma "I hate myself more than anyone. I always think I have to get my act together, but I end up cowering, running away, sniveling. I want to change. I want to be a competent person." - Zenitsu Agatsuma Though he disputes it, Zenitsu gives off the impression of being a talented and skilled Demon Slayer right away. As his nerves that ordinarily prevent him from gaining his full capacity give out as he sleeps, Zenitsu's true mettle wakes. This makes him more sage, serene, and accurate in battle, which enabled him to swiftly and brutally murder the Tongue Demon and destroy the Son Spider Demon all by himself. Later, when Lower Rank One Enmu and Nezuko were attacking 3 full railway carriages, he was able to defend them. A few months later, with Inosuke's help, he was able to face off against an awoken Daki before blitzing her with Thunderclap then Flash: Godspeed. 18. Obanai Iguro "I want to die defeating Muzan, and I pray that it will purify my filthy blood. Then, if I am reborn as a human being in a peaceful world without demons, I will tell you of my feelings for you." - Obanai Iguro Obanai, a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, is an extremely strong and adept fighter. He was discovered to have a degree of blindness in his right eye, therefore he only had one functional eye when he rose to the top of the Demon Slayer Corps. This makes Obanai's achievement of Hashira rank all the more remarkable, especially considering his weak physical makeup and physical limitations (possibly brought on by his tough childhood). Obanai was capable of effortlessly beheading a lot of demons who were on par with Lower Ranks, even during Infinity Castle Arc, and restraining the recently hired Upper-Rank Four, Nakime. Obanai was capable of landing many blows on Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, during the period of the conflict, nearly decapitating him and severing limbs from him. Despite having had his eyeballs clawed out earlier in the battle, Obanai became the first to recover awareness and assist Tanjiro after Giyu, Sanemi, Gyomei, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Kanao were severely hurt by Muzan's onslaught. 17. Tengen Uzui "Do I look like someone with any talent? See, this country is vast. It's teeming with people who'd blow your mind. Some are complete enigmas. Some can take up a sword and become a Hashira in two months. Me, chosen? Don't give me that crap! Just how many lives do you think I've let slip through my fingers until now?" - Tengen Uzui Tengen is an extremely strong and proficient fighter that belongs to the Demon Slayer Corps as a Hashira. He is the second-strongest Hashira in the present generation and the quickest sprinter of all the Hashira, exhibiting impressive physical accomplishments of speed and endurance. He could equal the combat prowess of both Daki and Gyutaro, both Upper-Rank demons that already have previously battled and dispatched many Hashiras. To the same extent that he can't anticipate Daki to be an Upper-Rank demon at all, Tengen was indeed able to behead her without her knowing it. He managed to safeguard bystanders in the process whilst also being afflicted by a toxin that would normally kill a person instantaneously. This feat of resistance against Daki and Gyutaro's collective strength is remarkable. Tengen has also shown exceptional ability and accuracy when employing explosives, limiting damage to the environment while increasing destruction to his adversaries. Tengen's shinobi training has given him better tactical skills and keener senses, particularly his perception of sound, which considerably aided him in his combat. 16. Daki "Demons never grow old. And they don't need money to eat. They don't get sick. They don't die. They have nothing to lose. We beautiful, powerful demons... can do anything we want! - Daki Daki was a tremendously potent demon who held Upper-Rank Six as a second. Seven Hashira had been killed and eaten by Daki in the past, demonstrating the extent of her power. The collective forces of Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Makio, and Suma. The previous two of whom are skilled Demon Slayers, and the remaining two of which are kunoichi with shinobi training—could not be resisted by her flesh detachment, which took the shape of a conscious Obi sash. In the meantime, Tanjiro Kamado, who had started to aggressively wield the Hinokami Kagura in battle, had already been having trouble with a lesser Daki. 15. Gyokko "Hyo hyo! What a childish provocation! Did you think I, Gyokko, would be undone with such prattle? You seem desperate. It's embarrassing." - Gyokko Gyokko, who has the fifth-highest rank among the Twelve Kizuki, is a very potent demon. The Hashira, the much more accomplished and potent combatant in the Demon Slayer Corps, is no match for him because of his special Blood Demon Art and methods. This enables him to outclass common demons and provides him the advantage he needs to overpower and end even her. Gyokko is a member of Upper-Rank Five and is stronger than Gyutaro and Daki, who have each slain 15 and 7 Hashira, respectively. 14. Nakime Otokawa Nakime is a very formidable demon despite having never shown much fighting prowess; he holds the fourth-highest rank in the Twelve Kizuki. She was able to use her unusual Blood Demon Art to prevent Obanai and Mitsuri's attempts to decapitate her and delay the two Hashira for most of the Infinity Castle Arc without allowing either of the two strong fighters to even scratch her. She then demonstrated the new power to generate and detach numerous eyeballs from her body after rising to the classification of Upper-Rank Four and likely getting more blood from Muzan. She was able to spy on people far away because of this. Since Kagaya Ubuyashiki had gone to great lengths to conceal the whereabouts of his hidden house from all but the highest-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps, she was capable of efficiently uncovering and locating the whereabouts of practically all of the other Demon Slayer Corps members, too though. 13. Gyutaro Gyutaro, the actual Upper-Rank Six, was a very great demon with almost a lifetime of battle experience, having murdered 15 Hashira in the past, the much more formidable and skillful Demon Slayers in the Demon Slayer Corps. He was able to defeat both Tengen Uzui, the Demon Slayer Corps' Sound Hashira, and Tanjiro Kamado, a skilled Demon Slayer with experience fighting Lower Rank demons, and ultimately defeated both of them in battle. This demonstrated his enormous capabilities and powers. Although the battle swung in the Demon Slayers' favor, Gyutaro and Daki were able to seize the initiative and overpower their opponents without any trouble. 12. Hantengu "Since the day I was born I've never lied... not even once! I'm a good-natured weakling! I deserve pity, but no one has any sympathy for me."- Hantengu Hantengu is a very potent demon who holds the fourth-highest title among the Twelve Kizuki. He can make four identical copies of himself using the Blood Demon Art, and each of them has the same level of power as an Upper-Rank demon. Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Genya, who are all skilled and experienced combatants, were unable to keep up with these clones' collaborative power and were ultimately defeated. Genya claimed that Hantengu was especially challenging to kill since the Demon Slayers would be required to play cat and mouse, searching for the main body whilst also being pursued by four Upper Rank-level demons. 11. Giyu Tomioka "Don't cry. Don't despair. Now's not the time for that. Feel the rage. The powerful, pure rage of not being able to forgive will become your unswerving drive to take action!" - Giyu Tomioka Giyu is a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps and an extremely strong and adept fighter. Giyu was able to catch Nezuko from Tanjiro and his companions with ease and then knock him out with a single blow, demonstrating how much superior Tanjiro and his comrades were to him from the start. Eventually, he was capable of effortlessly beating Rui, Lower Rank Five, and the Father Spider Demon in his altered state, things Tanjiro and Inosuke, however, were unable to do. He sparred on an equal footing with fellow fighter Hashira Sanemi. Additionally, Giyu was seen defeating dozens of demons with ease, just like the Lower Ranks of the Twelve Kizuki. Giyu is a fantastic partner who can understand their goals and cooperate with them. 10. Kyojuro Rengoku  "Life is a series of decisions. You never have unlimited options or unlimited time to think, but what you choose in that instant defines who you are." -Kyojuro Rengoku Kyojuro was a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, an extremely strong and skillful warrior. Kyojuro had already proven himself to be a fantastic warrior prior to succeeding his father. He was able to revenge the deaths of the nine Demon Slayers who fell to the Flute Demon on his own, and he eventually defeated Lower Rank Two, Hairo, by himself. Hairo even gave him a swordsmanship evaluation before he died. Furthermore, according to his father, Shinjuro Rengoku, Kyojuro taught himself to become a Hashira by studying the Flame Breathing style's instruction manual, which only comprised three volumes, after he ceased instructing his son. 9. Akaza "You misunderstand, Tanjiro. I only despise the weak. I only spit on weaklings. Yes. Weaklings make me sick. It is the law of nature that they be weeded out." - Akaza Akaza is a very strong demon that now has the third-highest rank in the Twelve Kizuki. In the past, he has been capable of defeating Kyojuro Rengoku, multiple Hashira, and a great number of Demon Slayers. Akaza is endowed with amazing skills and traits, but his martial arts excellence stands head and shoulders above the swordsmanship of some of the most accomplished Demon Slayers. Additionally, he has the capacity to sense Fighting Spirit, which enables him to foresee his adversaries' moves and pinpoint their weak points, making him nearly unstoppable if they can't devise a defense against it. 8. Muichiro Tokito "Remember that boiling anger. Even if I lose my memories, my body will remember that anger that will not leave me until I die. It's why I trained so hard that I vomited blood to destroy demons. And more... to eradicate them!" - Muichiro Tokito Muichiro is a juvenile prodigy who has great combat abilities as a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. He is known to be extraordinarily gifted despite his early age, achieving his Hashira level only after two months of training, a feat only Gyomei Himejima, the finest existing Hashira, had previously achieved. Tanjiro Kamado and Genya Shinazugawa, two Demon Slayers who are older than he is, were no match for him. Even after Gyokko, Upper-Rank Five, assumed his actual form, Muichiro is still able to easily fight him by himself after activating his Demon Slayer Mark. 7. Doma "The idea of divine punishment is a joke. Wicked people going to hell after death? If humans didn't think like that, people with weak spirits couldn't keep going, right? I truly believe... that humans are pathetic." - Doma Akaza, who is ranked Upper Three, wouldn't have a chance against him in combat, according to Doma. Doma also outperformed Akaza in a shorter amount of time, demonstrating the vast difference in strength between the two demons. The fact that Doma hardly ever fights sincerely and rather than embraces a relaxed and easy-going outlook even in life-or-death circumstances with the most potent Demon Slayers is further evidence of his considerable power. Doma only ever becomes severe because once his life is in real jeopardy, such as when the lethal repercussions of Shinobu's toxicants have become evident, it is another testament to his great power. 6. Tanjiro Kamado "In order to soothe the spirits of those it killed, and to make sure it claims no further victims... I will swing my blade down and lop off the head of any demon without mercy! But... I will not belittle those who regret their actions and suffer over the things they did as demons. Because demons were once human. Because they were like me." Read the full article

< Rengoku Kyojurou >
observations I made while watching the movie and the questions I had. I figured I would put them here so you can all think about them and come to your own conclusions.
SPOILERS FOR KNY MANGA AND MOVIE.
Tumblr media
He’s very quick to respond to the situations as they arise- probably because of all his experience and whatnot.
I hardly notice Kyojurou flinching in the movie and the manga. even when Shinjurou threw his sake right past Kyojurou's face in the gaiden, he did not flinch.
He doesn’t make eye contact with Tanjirou the entire time they’re speaking with one another or really anyone else, avidly staring ahead instead. This is not to say he never makes eye contact- though his attention is hard to gain at first, once Tanjirou has it, he looks the boy in the eye and acknowledges the group.
But I'm very interested in Tanjirou and Kyojurou's tense conversation before the demons. His lack of eye contact during that moment and blunt, belted answers are something I want to take note of in terms of his personality.
The whole scene where Tanjirou and Kyojurou first speak is a great way to really figure out how Kyojurou speaks in general. Based on that and the fan book that was released, Kyojurou is known to be hard to speak with because he can make it feel as if he’s not listening to you, which is something Tanjirou experiences with Kyojurou on the train at first.
I'm also interested in just how quick Kyojurou is to offer the position of tsuguko to Tanjirou. I would love to delve deeper into that and fully understand Kyojurou's reasoning.
Maybe Kyojurou simply likes to teach others. He helped teach Mitsuri, and he is a constant teacher to Senjurou, so perhaps it comes naturally to him. It's hard to say.
Shinjurou does not turn around when Kyojurou is talking to him in his dream. Eye contact!!! The intimacy of knowing someone is listening and cares about what you are saying is something Shinjurou doesn’t provide. This can play into how he doesn’t quite meet people’s eyes all of the time, only doing so when he thinks it's necessary.
That being said, he makes pretty strong eye contact with Senjurou.
There's also the scene where he's pretty intense, hovering close and making that eye contact with Tanjirou inside the train once it becomes a demon, and then once again when it crashes. But these moments are impactful. The viewer is hyperaware of Kyojurou's eye contact because of how intense it is- they KNOW when he's looking.
So his lack of eye contact is honestly something I like because that means when he does hold it, it's something that you can't ignore. It's a bigger part of him and his presence than you realize at first.
He was also smiling during the entire introduction, but his face immediately falls and that smile goes away when he senses a demon's presence. That smile goes away several times when he's in the midst of fighting- but when it's there- I think it's because of the fact people are around him and watching him.
I think he holds eye contact and smiles when it's important as a way to reassure others that everything will be okay. Kyojurou has that brotherly way about him- like when the train crashes and he talks Tanjirou through his wound, he's not smiling. He wants the boy to focus. But after that, he's quick to reassure him with praise over a job well done and a smile. It's very brotherly, I think, and it shows how Kyojurou is quite perceptive... when he wants to be and it's important, at least.
I also wonder why Kyojuro’s dream was a memory rather than a happy scenario like the others. I wonder what it says about him and his mind. He could have had a dream where his mother was alive, his father was kind, but instead, he was brought inside a memory that wasn’t exactly pleasant but clearly an impactful moment. Not even the outcome of the memory changed, it still ended with Shinjiro being neglectful and disappointing him.
So what is it exactly about this moment in his life that he somehow sees in a positive light that he wouldn’t want to change?
This is where my thoughts end. This isn't really a traditional post so none of you have to really interact with it, this is just me rambling as I try to fully understand and pick apart Kyojurou's character. I love analyzing him and asking these questions so I can understand and fill in the gap.
Hopefully these questions enjoy you. Let me know your thoughts on some of the things I brought up, maybe!

What are your general thoughts on KyoMitsu as a romantic ship? Also good luck on your studies 🤎
(Thank you! I need all the luck I can get. T^T) KyoMitsu would be really, really stinking cute.
Since it didn’t blossom in canon, I’m not one to go fishing for it hiding in there, but had some circumstances been slightly different perhaps it could had been feasible. Keep reading below for light analysis of their canon relationship and playing with fluffy ideas for how it could had been different.
I think the fact that they started as a teacher and student pair prevented them from seeing eachother for romantic potential. Japan went through a Confucian revival in the Edo period which places a heavy emphasis on power balances and obligations and rules in different kinds of relationships, and that would still cast a strong shadow on warrior mindsets down in Taisho, which would thereby make a teacher-student relationship and its imbalances of power much more like a parent-child relationship than anything else (that, and my fandom brain is too influenced by Chinese wuxia like “The Return of Condor Hero” to see teacher/student relationships in martial arts as anything but scandalous, *gasp*).
These two don’t seem interested in scandal, they seem likely to accept the teacher-student relationship at face value. Even as Kyojuro recognizes Mitsuri as a peer once she graduates the Final Selection, and again once they both become Pillars together, he still finds her an endearing kouhai (underclassman) as opposed to simply being a naturally cute girl, and she finds him a doting and cool oniisama as opposed to a prince to sweep her off her feet. Not that anime doesn’t have a history of oniisama-complexes and sempai and, uh, teachers courting much younger heroines, but at least for where these two put their priorities in canon, they don’t seem interested in pushing counter-cultural relationships.
That’s only what we’re shown at the surface level, anyway. Again, slightly different circumstances, or perhaps slightly deeper reading, and maybe we could find some potential for romance even in their teacher-student relationship, and perhaps even because they got to know each other in this context without the pressure of "get married because you are a worthless girl in the Taisho era if you can’t” or “get married because you need to carry on the Rengoku family line.”
That said, it’s interesting that we never see Kyojuro consider his responsibilities to carry the Rengoku line forward. Even though he’s the oldest son and that should naturally fall to him, he seems relieved that the Rengoku family already has a second-in-line male heir, so romance seems far from his mind (again, for what we’re shown in canon; it leaves very wide room for interpretation due to the very absence of it). Had he been an only child, or had Senjuro been born a girl, he might had felt some Taisho era pressure (as well as ongoing Japanese family structure pressure) to take a wife. Instead, the pressure Kyojuro feels is to pass on Flame Breathing and raise someone to be a fitting Flame Pillar. By all rights that should fall to Senjuro too, but Kyojuro doesn’t feel he can leave that to him.
Mitsuri, perhaps, had initially hoped for Kyojuro’s interest. How could she not, as he was probably the strongest man she had ever met, and who was not bothered at all by her strength? Plus, he’s so kind, what girl wouldn’t fall for him? But, as I’ve analyzed her here, Mitsuri’s goals for entering the Corp were two-fold: finding a husband stronger than her was the primary stated goal, but ultimately she wanted a place to belong and be herself. Kyojuro was instrumental in fulfilling that second goal, and she’ll always treasure him for it. But the place he made for her was as a warrior, not a bride, so that probably framed her thinking of him very early on. So again, I keep coming back to them just not seeing each other in a romantic context in canon, because they have feelings for each other that relate more strongly to their place in the Demon Slayer Corp, not in wanting to be intimate soul mates.
Buuuuuuut, maybe, MAYBE if the context were a b-i-i-i-it different, like if Kyojuro did show more interest in not only raising Tsuguko, but raising children, or just generally having the comforts of a romantic partner. And maybe, maaaaaybe if Mitsuri found a different means of entering the Corp, training from someone who could purely feel like a teacher instead of someone to be a high-key soul mate, maaaaaybe that would open the perfect encounter for them to start off on a romantic note. And Kyojuro is indeed *so* high-key, if he set his sights on a girl, there would probably be no mistaking his affections. Go back through canon and replace every time he says “Tsuguko” with “girlfriend.” Go ahead, do it, I’ll wait here.
Meeting on a mission, perhaps. Kyojuro has his hands full trying to keep everyone safe and then out bursts an angel to help, who perhaps literally sweeps him off his feet. Oh my goodness. My gosh, that would be cute. And he asks her out to eat. She’s flighty and embarrassed because THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED, OH MY GOSH, IS IT HAPPENING, but she’s scared she’s going to scare him off with her appetite but HE KEEPS PACE WITH HER OH MY GOSH IT’S A MATCH. And they do nothing but laugh and smile and brighten each other’s faces simply by being in each other’s company and wow, they’ve never felt so happy??? (Meanwhile, Iguro Obanai is crying in a dark corner of the restaurant, where he had no intention of eating anyway.)
So let’s say that meeting each other in a romantic context leads them to become soul mates who seek each other’s light, while also providing endless encouragement. And they quickly agree that they’d make a good marriage match, in a proper Taisho cultural context, and also as Demon Slayer Corp members with a responsibility to raise the next generation of swordsmen, be it as Tsuguko or as offspring. Having such a strong mother bodes well for the next generation of the Rengoku clan and Mitsuri is thrilled that her strength can actually be an asset in a marriage, but also that she has such a kind husband in the first place (father-in-law maybe needs some time to come around, he grumbles that they’re both bound to die anyway… thanks, dad), and she and Senjuro go nuts in the Rengoku estate’s kitchen. The Rengoku family finances would be in trouble if they weren’t Pillars; because eventually when they have tons of children, all of those children have voracious appetites too. And bizarre hair colors, those children are the weirdest of the weird but their parents teach them to love and accept themselves so they are all super loud and confident and bizarrely strong and if Muzan isn’t beaten in this generation he’ll have no prayer when those Rengoku children come of age. They might have trouble picking up Flame Breathing, though. Whoops. (Meanwhile, Iguro Obanai is writing sad poetry and his facial wrappings mean he doesn’t have to try to fake a smile. He’s happy for them, really, there's no else he would entrust her happiness to, and a dirty person like him never deserved happiness, hello darkness my old friend, oh dear, oh Oyakata-sama, please save him.)

hello! for mitsuri's birthday bash may i request for how she is around her very own tsuguko or successor?
of course you can! thank you so much for requesting, this was very self indulgent to write so I hope you enjoy haha
Tumblr media
꒰🍡꒱ — mitsuri with her tsuguko.
sfw head-canons:
➥ pairing || kanroji mitsuri x reader
➥ warnings || mentions of food and eating
Tumblr media
when you first became her tsuguko, the day was filled with hugs, tears and long sappy rambles from her end.
just the fact that she has a tsuguko fills her heart so so much happiness and joy. mitsuri is honored you’d think she’s qualified to be your teacher.
being her tsuguko, you would live in her estate with her. before you first arrived to move in, she got your room all ready for you.
brand new futons, dressers, side tables; anything you would need but in the best quality she could find!
the love pillar would welcome you to her home with a large feast on the second day - after learning all your favorite foods of course!
probably one of the most welcoming pillars when it comes to their tsugukos.
mitsuri wants to not only be your master, but your friend as well! she’d always remind you that if you ever need to talk or need a shoulder to cry on to not hesitate to find her.
she absolutely cherishes you, no matter if you have a platonic or romantic relationship.
very encouraging and positive while training, even more so than rengoku!
when you first master one of the breathing styles, this sweet woman throws her hands up and cheers for you, giving you a big hug in celebration!
“I knew you could do it! that was perfect! you’re a natural! I’m so proud of you!”
mitsuri is also very nurturing towards you, always making sure you’re well fed and hydrated during your training sessions.
she wants so badly to go easy on you, hating to see you struggling or sore by the long training sessions; it takes everything in her not to apologize and rush to your side to baby you.
both obanai and kyojurou lectured her on the importance of not holding back. if she wants you to survive, she has to give you everything she’s got to make you even stronger.
and boy does she have a lot.
let’s just say when training sessions are over, she allows herself to overly coddle you and patch up anything that’s hurt.
speaking of obanai though, oof.
it’s a rough start with him. once he finds out the love pillar took in a tsuguko, he immediately finds out who you are and tries to sniff out your intentions (or snuff out any that’s present).
you’d be lying if you said you didn’t notice the murderous glares sent your way.
the times he comes over for lunch with your master you would usually hide in your room or work out on the estate’s training grounds.
the ice between the two of you would break.. eventually. it would take loads of time but seeing how precious you were to the other girl would eventually wear him down.
not that he necessarily accepts you, but you seem to be a good tsuguko to her, so he stops the threats.
for the most part.
mitsuri is also very protective over you, feeling personally responsible for your well-being and you in general while you’re in her care.
will defend you to hell and back if anyone was to talk shit about you; don’t mess with the tsuguko of the woman who is as strong as eight men.
when it was time to send to you the final selection, she’d be confident in your abilities but very nervous at the same time.
she knows how scary and horrifying the final selection is, so she sends you off with a large (wet) hug and a few parting words.
“It’s been an honor to train you! once you return, we’ll have a big meal and you can rest for however long you want!”
the bag she gives you for the selection is full of letters she’s written over the years (reminders, tips, compliments, funny stories, etc.) and snacks to last you the whole week.
the other hashira has never seen her look so worried for a whole week in a row.
when you returned - mostly unharmed - she’d gomp you aggressively and bawl in relief as she’d hold you close.
she’s so utterly proud and relieved; so much so that she couldn’t keep her emotions under control even if she tried.
as promised, mitsuri would let you rest and sleep as long as you’d like.
but expect to be woken up or poked at often as she wants to make sure any wounds gained were healing and ask if you needed anything.
the love pillar is way too kind and caring for both her and your own good.

Might Be Onto Somethin' (Kiss Me More)
Word Count: 2142 Rating: E Character(s): Mitsuri Kanroji Ships: None; Mentions of Rengoku Kyōjurō, Iguro Obanai, Sanemi Shinazugawa Genre: Smut Author's Notes: I... Have no excuse other than the fact that Mitsuri is cute and she deserves so much love. And many partners. Give her all of the partners please. She has so much love to give- This can also be read over on my ao3! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The perks of having your own portion of the compound meant the peace and quiet that came with it. It was nice to be able to just relax, to not have to worry about being walked in on. A nice soak in the hot spring had been well earned! A trim to the ends of her hair to get rid of any split ends and to keep the long layers still looking good, and then a bit of skin care! Mitsuri was even able to paint her nails! And her toe nails!
Evening was falling, the sounds of laughter coming from her siblings filling the air as she closed the shoji. Dinner was already done; they would all be retiring to their own spaces soon enough. Summer was in full swing, the heat of the day melting away, though that didn’t mean it still wasn’t warm- too warm to wear proper clothes. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d stripped out of her dinner kimono so quickly; she took a moment to simply stand in the nude, enjoying the slight cool breeze that drifted through the room from an open window.
Open window. Naked. Oh, no!
A squeak escaped her as she grabbed hold of a light cotton yukata, slipping it on to cover herself, cheeks growing rosy in embarrassment. What if someone had come by? And seen her? That would have been so awkward! What if it had been Tomioka-san? OR Shinobu-san? Oh, she wouldn’t have been able to look them in the eye! Or even Uzui-san!
… Or Rengoku-kun.
Or… Or Iguro-san…
Swallowing roughly, Kanroji turned on her heel and marched herself to her bedroom, chastising herself for even considering those thoughts. That- that wasn’t ladylike! Was it? No- yes? A groan slipped free as she flopped onto her futon, face pressed into the blankets. It wasn’t… Wrong to feel lust. She knew this. It also wasn’t wrong to feel love! And it… Wasn’t a bad thing to be attracted to people- to people she knew well! There wasn’t anything bad with that at all!
Kyōjurō had been her friend for years- they’d known each other long before they became Hashira. He’d been her teacher, even! And she’d watched as he grew- as they both grew! Cheeks tinting with an emotion she couldn’t quite place, she rolled over onto her back, staring up at her ceiling. Her window was open in here, too; from there, she could see down the hill to where the Rengoku compound sat.
Her gaze drifted to the window, watching as clouds began to drift across the night sky, the stars peeking out from behind clouds occasionally. It wasn’t a bad thing to… Want. Everyone wanted something, someone- it was natural. Her thighs clenched, an unconscious movement that drew a soft gasp out. Her eyes slid shut, the battle beginning to wane in her mind. This was okay. It was! Especially with… How good it would feel, oh- oh, it would feel good.
“This is okay,” she decided, speaking softly to the empty bedroom. Pushing herself up, she glanced around- as if making sure she was truly alone. Which was silly- of course she was alone! She would have heard if someone came in. A giddy smile curled her lips as she settled back down against her pillows, nimble fingers quickly undoing the tie that held the yukata together, allowing for the fabric to shift.
Her eyes slid shut as she drew in a slow, nervous breath. It wasn’t as if she never touched herself- she did, more often than she really wanted to admit. The tint in her cheeks darkened as she squeezed her thighs together again, creating a gentle sort of pressure that had a sigh slipping free. A hand raised- not her own, not in her mind, no, this hand was much larger than her own, somehow still so soft despite wielding a wicked blade- and came to peel away the yukata, baring her naked form to the room. She was proud of her physique- she was soft, her tummy softer than her fellow Hashira, but beneath that layer of softness was muscle she’d always had, would always have. She liked it- liked having soft hips, a soft tummy, soft thighs.
Iguro-san liked her thighs. He’d complimented her on them a few days ago- when they’d all been granted time off to have their blades sharpened. It had been an idle comment in a conversation with Shinobu-san, who had brought up the idea of a lighter fabric for their summer uniforms. They’d all agreed- it would be nice not to smother in the heavy, dark fabric. Tengen had mentioned how it was smart to have a uniform like her own- a skirt, which did mean she was able to cool off faster than her companions.
The conversation had drifted, which let Obanai murmur close to her ear that he enjoyed her uniform quite a bit- after all, it allowed him to see her beautiful thighs. It had made her blush, had made her squeeze her thighs together and hide a smile.
“Iguro-san,” she sighed out, hand drifting lower, nails ghosting against the skin of a thigh before digging in in a way that gave both pain and pleasure- something she was certain he would enjoy. Something he would do. “Please…”
He wasn’t the only one who looked- she would never admit it aloud, but she caught Kyōjurō looking at her chest a few times, his gaze soft, lids heavy before he caught himself and looked away, cheeks rosy. She thought it was cute! She was more than aware of her bust- it caused her problems at times, especially if she couldn’t bind the proper way before a mission. But oh…
A hand cupped her left breast, fingers squeezing the soft flesh. She pictured the hand to be larger, much larger and warmer, massaging and squeezing, pinching at her nipples just so, drawing out a soft squeal because oh, that’s sensitive! “Kyo-” she whined, head turning to the side, thighs parting as the hand shifted to the other, giving it the same treatment. “Sensitive,” she whispered, though she didn’t hear her own voice- the rasp of another, of a tongue drifting across her nipple, of silver hair and wild eyes.
The hand on her thigh slipped upward, dragging sharp nails along the inside of her thigh. It sent a shock through her system, her legs jolting with the pleasure it drew forth. “Iguro-san!” She gasped, and for a moment, she swore she heard a chuckle- his chuckle, but it only made her hand settle over herself, adrenaline and lust mingling in her veins. Her toes curled as she slipped her middle finger between her folds, surprised to find herself already wet. Then again-
She had been excited for days now, hadn’t had time to handle this.
Oh, but the finger pressing against a bundle of nerves drew her from her thoughts quickly, a moan drifting into the open air of the bedroom at the relief that brief touch gave. Her eyes opened, blinking in the darkness of her bedroom, the images dispelling for a moment.
Toy. She needed something. She needed to be filled- to feel full. It wasn’t as if she could just… Go get the real thing! No, instead she rolled over, grabbing an ornate box that looked as if it should hold jewelry, and tugged it closer. It was inconspicuous; no one would ever think of what it would hold. The toy itself was a good replica of the real thing, thicker near the base, thinner towards the top with a flared head. The material used was soft so as to not cause discomfort- perfect for her, considering how sensitive she could be sometimes. And tonight was certainly one of those times.
Rolling back onto her bed, she took hold of another pillow and slid it down, settling it beneath her rear. Eyes closing once more, images flooded back to the forefront of her mind. The toy pressed to her lips, and if she thought hard enough, she could imagine it having heat along with the weight it held. Her lips parted, the toy slipping in, her tongue curling around the head before she forced her jaw to relax. She’d never admit it out loud, but she’d trained herself with this toy, her throat relaxing. Fingers of another hand drifted low, gathering the slickness that had formed between her lower lips before slipping inside, drawing out a whine around the toy. Her brows furrowed as she tried to time the thrusts with the toy in her mouth, brushing against that one spot every now and then.
In her mind, it wasn’t her fingers in her, or a toy in her mouth- no, the fingers belonged to a man with golden and ruby hair who pressed kisses to her thighs as he opened her up and tore her apart, as he coaxed her closer and closer to the edge with his delicate touches. In her mouth sat the cock of the Snake Pillar, thrusting slowly, deeply, fucking her face.
Too close, too close- she pulled her fingers free and slipped the toy from her mouth with a whine, head falling back. Not yet, she didn’t want to stop yet. Licking her lips, she readjusted, bringing the toy down to settle between her lips, rocking slowly, the head nudging against her clit with each rock until she couldn’t handle it, slipping the toy inside slowly, a hiss slipping free at the stretch. It wasn’t painful, not in the least- no, it felt good, wonderfully so. She whined, nose scrunching up as it bottomed out. She took a moment to adjust, shifting her hips to get a more comfortable angle.
A hand settled at her breasts once more, groping, teasing as she began to move her hand. “Oh,” she whispered, brows furrowing, “yes- yes, like that! I like that, please, yes,” she began to babble as the toy sped up- no, not a toy. Obanai was between her thighs, Kyōjurō behind her, holding her, his hands on her chest as Obanai used her. “Harder, harder, harder- please, I’ve been a good girl!” She whined, lost to her fantasy. “Obanai- Obanai, please.”
'Only good girls get to cum. Are you sure you've been good?' The phantom image asked, voice gruff- Oh. Oh, that would be Sanemi.
“I have!” She squealed, hips rising as the toy began to hit that one spot dead center. “I have, I’ve been good! ‘Nemi, ‘Nemi!” She whined, body moving with the force she used. “Kyo- Oba- oh, there, there, there, don’t stop!”
'We won't stop,' Kyo’s voice whispered in her ear as his fingers played with her nipple, twisting, pinching, massaging. 'Not until you're sobbing and making a mess for us.'
“Fuck me!” She pleaded, something so vulgar that, had she not been in such a worked up state, would have embarrassed her. “Please! I’m a good girl! I’m your good girl! Fuck me, please, God- Obanai, you feel so good! So good in me, so good, yes, yes, 𝘺𝘦𝘴!”
'Gonna be a good girl and cum for me?' Obanai asked, panting. 'Cum on my cock like a good girl, Mitsuri?'
“Yes, yes- Obanai, Ob-” She clamped a hand over her mouth to muffle her scream as she tumbled over the edge, legs twitching, chest heaving as she kept fucking herself. “Harder, harder, please-” she begged, working herself higher and higher up before her hand stopped, body stilling. Tears spilled free, trailing down her cheeks as she removed her hand from her mouth, panting harshly. Wet- very… Wet? Blinking to clear her vision, Mitsuri shifted her hips.
Oh.
Oh!
“Oh, no- that’s- that’s new, oh dear, oh no,” she whispered, pulling the toy free so that she could sit up and gawk at the wet… Puddle. That was a puddle. “OH-” She squeaked, cheeks red as strawberries as she realized what she’d done. She couldn’t stand to clean off her bed- not yet, anyway. She’d clean the blankets and sheets tomorrow, but that poor pillow… “At least you were already ready to be tossed,” she murmured, a giggle bubbling up.
She settled back down on a clean portion of her bed, body relaxing. Sanemi? Kyo? And Obanai? Oh, my! She covered her face with her hands and let out a soft squeal. How would she look them in the eye tomorrow! She shifted, staring at the window- were her eyes playing tricks on her? Brows furrowing, she rose to her feet and stepped closer, poking her head out. No one was there.
Huh.
She could have sworn she’d seen golden and ruby hair. Strange.
Perhaps it was wishful thinking. Shrugging, she turned back to the mess she now had to clean up. Or…
“Or I could… Have some more fun?”

PLEASE tell me ALL about the good brother kaigaku & reincarnation ideas 👀👀👀👀
Okay so I have a few good brother au's so I'll just write down. Feel free to ask about a certain gb! Kaigaku au
High School/Kimetsu Gakuen
Kaigaku's a delinquent and Zenitsu is a nerd. But Kai acts like his guardian angel essentially. Living definition of 'no one bullies my little brother but me'
Kaigaku joins the Kamaboko Squad
He joins for selfish reasons in the beginning but starts to care about Zenitsu and his friends. I don't know if I will add an endgame ship but Zen will have a crush on his entire friend group at least once and only Kaigaku will be able to tell that he has a crush. (He totally hates knowing him so well because that means he's warming up to him)
Role Swap
Kaigaku takes Tanjirou's role and Zenitsu takes Nezuko's. Muzan kills Jigoro and turns Zenitsu into a demon before they can be taught any thunder breathing. Of course Kaigaku and Zenitsu keep their personalities. At first Kai hates Zen especially after seeing him as a demon but once Zen runs away instead of attacking he realizes that he doesn't want to be alone anymore and decides to turn him back. Mitsuri finds them and takes them in. Kai learns the breath of love. (The more time he spends around Zenitsu he finds himself calling him his 'little sibling' instead of a 'little brat')
Kaigaku gets a second chance
He gets stuck in a time loop that can only be stopped by making it past the final battle alive. The only way to do this is by Zenitsu's side. Due to his stubborn and selfish nature it takes him a lot of loops to realize this
Now for the reincarnation au.
I'm ngl I hated the last chapter with the great-great-grandkids. So I was like why not change it through fan fic.
Essentially they're in a school setting. Hashira are high schoolers (not teachers) and the younger bunch are middle schoolers. Nezuko and Muichiro are in grade school.
I have one main ship down, I'm still deciding on the rest. So far it's just InoZen. Maybe TanKana, TanGen, ShinoMitsu, ObaMitsu, you see my problem here? 😅
The characters start remembering their pasts back when they used to slay demons. I was thinking maybe the remember in order of character death? Rengoku remembers first and so on. I do know for a fact that Tanjirou will remember last.

here's several random hc's i have. some are nsfw, some aren't.
Mitsuri is obsessed with chubby tummies on other people. she's honestly kind of upset that her metabolism doesn't allow for her to develop one
Rengoku and Uzui regularly fuck, but like, as Bros™. Uzui actually really likes bottoming but he's a brat about it
Muichiro collects things. he doesn't know why, but he tends to collect interesting rocks, feathers, and leaves. he thinks, sometimes that maybe it has something to do with his forgetfulness and memory loss
Gyomei's cats have learned that he is blind and chirp whenever they're around him so that he knows where they are
Tokoyami is honestly one of the best friends an introvert can have. he can talk forever about his interests and lead the conversation, but he's also super into just chilling in silence while both of y'all do your separate tasks
Aizawa is demisexual, tho he probably doesn't use that word to describe himself. he doesn't actually dislike Ms. Joke, in fact he has a lot of respect for her as a fellow hero and teacher. he just hates her persistence in trying to get him to go out with her
Aoyama can't cook to save his life, but he's a fantastic baker
Mina is aro, though she doesn't realize it. she's in love with the idea of love and desperately wants a relationship, just like so many other aro/aces who haven't realized it yet
i should probably stop there lol

Hi!! Congrats on your 100 followers!! They’re well deserved! 🥺
I was hoping you could maybe do a KnY life for me? My personality type has been ENFP for a long time now but I do like my space and personal moments with special people. My friends have called me loving, easily-flustered, and enthusiastic. I’m hetero. My birthday is July 4th and I’m currently 19 :) I love pretty pastel colors a lot but I can’t pick one hahah
I’m very verbally and physically affectionate to the people I’m close to and I love animals. I enjoy fantasizing and I like to think I’m decently artistic; I like writing, reading, drawing, and music. I really value what others think of me so I’m always trying my best to be seen in a good light. I enjoy doting on and spoiling my friends as much as my finances allow fbhdhf I also enjoy deep conversations with people who have an appreciative outlook on life. I’m also prone to getting emotional at anything so I could cry very easily, not in a bad sense, though. I see a cute animal and I start babbling. I also like to think I’m very organized? Hmm I think that’s a decent description of me.
Thank you again!! Hope to see more of your writing in the future 🥺🥺
Hello bby! Thank you so much here’s your matchup also you didn’t put your gender so I give you a male and female as your lover because I don’t want to assume ^^
Congratulations you are a
Demon hunter!
Tumblr media
Breathing style: Breath of the white fox
Fun fact about the breathing style: Users of this breathing style are known to be stealthy, quiet and agile .The breathing style is very similar to the serpent breathing style but instead of mimicking the moves of a snake this breathing style mimics the moves of a fox
Bonus
Like Obanai you have a companion that follows you wherever you go, it’s a cute little white fox named Yuki which means snow
Are you a hasira?: Yes
Who is your tsuguko or mentor: Your tsuguko is Inosuke Hashibira
Lover: Giyuu Tomioka (Status: Married) or Mitsuri Kanroji ( Status: Married)
Family: Sakonji Urokodaki ( Father)
Who you are most close with/bsf: Kyōjurō Rengoku
What people think of you: You would make a really good teacher like your father
Description for your nichirin sword: The handle of the sword is a light blue , the hilt is in the shape of a fox’s head and the blade is white
Description of your haori: It is a white haori that fades into a mixture of pastel colors from top to bottom, this is the style of pastel colors,
Tumblr media
A good character trait: You have a good sense of smell
Headcanons
Unlike Tanjiro and Giyuu, you always wear the fox mask your father made you and whenever you’re training your, tsuguko Inosuke he always ask to put it on and gives you his to wear, he also loves to play with your fox,Yuki, but Yuki is afraid of Inosuke because he’s so aggressive
You and Rengoku are super good friends but are a lost cause, because whenever you buy or do something for him he immediately returns the favor because he appreciates you and wants you to know that, and when he does that you buy or do something for him as a thank but then he’ll do something again in return and it’s just this on going loop of you two doing things for each other and both of you refuse to stop because you two care about each other too much

MY TAKE ON MODERN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE.
where (almost) everything is the same as the canon universe of Kimetsu Academy Tale, but everyone runs a YouTube channel. What kind of chaos would rise?
W/N:  i might actually make this into a series on ao3  :frog emoji:  if you have any more idea on characters that are not added in here, please do let me know — send me a message through my inbox or ask, i don’t mind. the more ideas, the merrier!
Tumblr media
KAMADO TANJIROU (15), AGATSUMA ZENITSU (16) &. HASHIBIRA INOSUKE (15) — all three are full-time high school students who runs a collaborative gaming channel under an anonymous act. The reason why they decide to keep their identity anonymous is because they are still students focusing on their education, the last thing they wanted is to gain attention; though there is some speculation across the academy of the channels being run by them because their respective personalities are so distinct and familiar.
Tanjirou goes by Helios (titan god of the sun);
Zenitsu goes by Astrapi (lightning);
and Inosuke goes by Kapros (boar).
Their names are basically Greek translated.
Tumblr media
KAMADO NEZUKO (14) — a full-time high school students who runs a DIY and baking channel. Since the Kamado’s own and run a bakery, I feel like it’s fitting to have her as someone who pursues a baking channel — she has the experience to do it; and since I also see her as someone who loves to create new things based on her inspirations, her channel can be both DIY and baking.
Tumblr media
TSUYURI KANAO (16) — a full-time high school students who runs a gardening and lifestyle channel on YouTube. I got inspired by the fact that she’s a part of the gardening club in KAT so I thought why not have a gardening channel on how to take care of flowers and other vegetations? Her timid personality is endearing to fans, and they love her for it.
Tumblr media
SHINAZUGAWA GENYA (16) — a full-time high school students who runs a conspiracy theories channel, covering a lot of conspiracy theories and haunted places. I got inspired by Buzzfeed Unsolved for this and I feel like he would be someone who would be interested to do this. He films a lot with Tanjirou, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke, who are a good bunch since half of them are sceptics and the others are believers.
Tumblr media
TOKITOU MUICHIROU (14) — a full-time high school students who runs a film critic channel, covering every genre there is in mankind. At first, I was a little bit skeptical when my friend suggested this but then I understood why. His bluntness and nonchalant personality makes him the perfect candidate to run a channel like this; and haters hate him because he’s always right. When you got beaten by a 14-year-old. He runs this channel with his twin brother, and often with Genya and Tanjirou too.
Tumblr media
KOCHOU SHINOBU (18) — a college student majoring in pharmacy who runs a channel where she does simple but cool science experiment tricks that are safe enough to be done at home, but sometimes she does extreme ones just for the fuck of it. She runs a collaborative cooking channel with Mitsuri, and Giyuu often appears in her videos uploaded on her main channel just because she loves to use him as a subject. Her fans are petrified but amused.
Tumblr media
KANROJI MITSURI (19) — a college student majoring in art who runs a food blog — so basically, she goes around town and other places, and trying new restaurants and rate their service, food, etc. She never has rated any lower than a 5 stars. She’s an endearing person and it’s hard not to love her. She knows a lot of recipes, even the western ones, and therefore runs a collaborated cooking channel with Shinobu.
Tumblr media
RENGOKU KYOUJUROU (20) — a substitute history teacher who everyone loves. He runs a history channel where he covers a certain event in the history with facts but also making fun of people making bad decisions. He makes fun of people making bad decisions in history just in general. He’s loved by his fans because of his enthusiasm and bright personality, and the fact that he’s just funny. Sometimes, he joins Mitsuri in going around town to try out new restaurants.
Tumblr media
TOMIOKA GIYUU (21) — a PE teacher who never smiles and everyone is scared of him. He runs a channel where he narrates ridiculous stuff (see: Cr1tikal) in that monotonous voice of his, and even though he may be scared by most students and people in general, you can’t deny that it’s pretty damn funny when he describes sex positions in the most blunt way possible. He’s also a living meme because of Sabito filming and uploading a bunch of videos of him doing dumb shits.
Tumblr media
SABITO (21) — a full-time gamer and runs a reowned gaming youtube channel. He plays a lot with Tanjirou and his gang, and during meet-ups he often got questions about the three but never let their identities known. His eccentric personality is fun to watch, and when he rages? Hilarious. Often uploads videos of Giyuu doing dumb stuff in his vlogs and Giyuu just never told him to take it down, so he becomes a living meme because of Sabito.
Tumblr media
SHINAZUGAWA SANEMI (21) — a fitness trainer. I think that other than being a maths teacher, he would fit as someone who does fitness and/or training videos and runs a channel solely based on a healthy lifestyle. He gives advice on different forms of training and eating healthy, and just keeping a healthy well-being overall. His harsh personality may throw you off, but some fans found it encouraging and motivating.
Tumblr media
KOCHOU KANAE (21) — a substitute biology teacher who also runs a gardening channel. In fact, once in a while, Kanao and her both collaborated together and offers their own advice.
Tumblr media
IGURO OBANAI (21) — a veterinarian who runs a channel on animal facts / species facts. I think that he would focus more on reptlies, and to be more specific, snakes; he covers facts and fun facts about them, and how dangerous they are. He often appears in some of Mitsuri’s videos as well.
Tumblr media
UZUI TENGEN (23) — an art teacher. I refuse to believe that he would not run a beauty channel where he criticises beauty products and offers advice on which product to actually buy. While he also does this, he offers advice on how to do certain make-ups — again, I refuse to believe he would not do this.
Tumblr media
HIMEJIMA GYOUMEI (27) — he runs an orphanage and does not run a channel, but he usually makes an appearance either in Sanemi’s or Rengoku’s videos. His presence is usually calming and fans love him, even when he appears only for a second.

Kimetsu Gakuen AU Headcanons
This one doesn’t usually have any order depending on character, so enjoy this huge headcanon salad that gets more meme-y as you proceed.
Despite also working in order to help his family’s bakery, Tanjirou still gets really high grades and Zenitsu still wonders how he manages
The fact that he literally delivers bread to students and his personality made Tanjirou quite popular
At times students all over school come to him to get advice and    b r e a d
To note that Nezuko is quite popular too
Tanjirou, Zenitsu and Inosuke formed a group a little time after the school’s beginning. The group took Kanao and Genya in, and later added on Muichirou
And he sometimes accompanies the group in lunch breaks
Muichirou was supposed to be a junior high student however since he’s a genius, the discussion of him skipping classes and grading up to high school surfaced. Muichirou doesn’t want to grade up though, because it means leaving Yuichirou
The members of the group love each other so much that they pulled a prank on Tanjirou by setting a cute picture of him as their phone wallpaper and Tanjirou didn’t notice it for months lmao. They refuse to change it though (Got this idea from a comic I saw and really wanted to add this here! It’s from @hyolks! It’s really good!)
It’s a rumor that some of the customers come only to see the sunshine children
Tanjirou literally advertised the family bakery because the breads he gave were very g o o d
Zenitsu lives with his grandpa and big brother
Kaigaku is like a strict and cold brother to him but there are times when he shows his care (Let it be. The need a rest.)
The Kamado family sometimes visit the big uncle Yoriichi (Let’s say that he’s not that old here) and they have great time talking about anything and everything with him. They give a relief to Yoriichi’s loneliness and he is grateful for that
Zenitsu excels in every instrument, like, whoaa
Inosuke lives with his mom, and has a weak spot for her (who doesn’t love their loving mommy?)
Like he’s all feral and angry by default but when he’s with his mother he goes soft
It’s possible to see Nezuko biting onto different kinds of bread depending on day and time
And Zenitsu went out ‘’sightseeing’’ to find different kinds of Nezuko like it was h e c c i n p o k e m o n G O
It became Tomioka’s usual thing to chase kids who break rules with sticks
Seems like he especially targets Tanjirou.
Tanjirou steps in the school’s garden and they start the heccin tag
Giyuu: (swipes his stick lowly as the student jumps not to get hit in one of their tag games)
Shinobu: is this a new training regimen? (get that reference?)
Nowadays Inosuke learnt about the art of gopnik  so you can find him squatting around the school
At corners, on desks, on heccin teacher’s table, anywhere and everywhere.
He even brings semechki
Zenitsu asked him to cut it out because it attracts birds during their damn lunch
It’s not easy to understand Nezuko’s muffled words under that bread but it’s not important, she’s adorable!
And she ain’t going to bother taking it off or finishing it quickly. Bread is bread. Gotta take time eating it.
Giyuu is the whole damn academy’s one-man discipline department lmao (since Zenitsu doesn’t do anything)
Legends say that he studied urban Russian language to detect if Inosuke’s using bad words
Even the teachers and the principle don’t care about it. It’s like the students are allowed to do whatever they like at this point
‘’I think it’s wrong to force students and shape them all according to rules.’’ – Principle Oyakata, at some point
About this strict math teacher thing with Sanemi… Reminds me of some certain Baldi-
Sanemi staring at student trying to solve math as he rhythmically slaps his bendy ruler to his free hand.png
But no he doesn’t smack you if you get it wrong
He YEets you out of the heccin window-
Poor Genya.
Legends say that Genya can’t go out if he doesn’t do his maths :(
Muichirou and Yuichirou love pranking them neighbors. The classic twin prank. Oh yes.
Shinobu doesn’t do anything that’s straightly against the rules but who doesn’t love pissing Giyuu off? She loves it.
Kanao was taken care of by the Kocho family and they already look like real siblings. They wear similar butterfly ornaments and the idea of them standing near each other in the age order is very cute ( ´ ω ` )
The only thing that Shinobu doesn’t like about her house is that. biccass. neighbor. Douma blyat.
‘’That loudass excuse of a neighbor should talk with his bicces somewhere else or I’m gonna-‘’ - Quote, Shinobu
Kanae plugged Kanao’s ears so don’t you worry.
The first visit of Kamaboko Gang to Kamado’s house was d̶i̶s̶a̶s̶t̶r̶o̶u̶s̶ remarkable
Zenitsu’s first thought: ‘’How do they manage with this many children?’’ (That’s a question I ask myself considering the money and stuff…)
Inosuke has finally found his place: The ‘’Chest out in the open’’ Gang.
The gang includes: Inosuke, Kaigaku, Akaza, Sanemi when he’s too fed up and thankfully not Mitsuri. The gang’s open for anyone who has their chest out in the open.
Makomo and Nezuko are buddies.
Legends say that Kaigaku legit took Zenitsu out and rode the night on his motorcycle at full speed.
Of course they got beaten by good jii-chan Jigoro.
‘’The Twelve Demon Moons’’ are the legendary students who are known for their rule-breaking record. They incredibly popular throughout the school.
They’re following the tradition that was handed down by ‘’Master Muzan’’  who was the naughtiest student signed up to the academy, ever.
Inosuke was hyped when he met Akaza.
Kaigaku tries to be one of them.
Mitsuri is very well-known throughout the academy, much like Tanjirou, but if you mention her name to someone, they have the chance of knowing at %100
Tanjirou is already the embodiment of sunshine but what happens when he interacts with Rengoku and Mitsuri? BOOM
Say goodbye to your eyes because you’ll be blind for hours
Looks like lone man Tomioka found company. Sabito accompanies him in lunch breaks
It became a thing to gift Rengoku sweet potatoes and yell WASSHOI together on his birthdays
Senjurou is in Junior High. He is very quiet and he gets lost in the corridors pretty easily. (the academy is one complex building) One day Nezuko found him, after that day they became friends and she helped him find his way.
Senjurou protection squad where you at?
If you think Genya is different from his brother and rather silent? No that’s just an illusion you get under when he’s near Sanemi. He’s as angry as Sanemi and Inosuke with the exception of being able to speak without shouting
Well that’s it for now

Yesterday’s Gone (Oneshot)
Pairing: Kyojuro Rengoku x Hanako Fukushima [OC]
Words: 1,843
Warnings: angst, spoilers for the Mugen Train movie
Notes: Hello! This is my first oneshot I’m posting on here -- it’s based on lyrics from Yesterday’s Gone by Straight Line Stitch. Hanako is my Demon Slayer OC, and she means so much to me. This oneshot is also part of an upcoming book of oneshots about Hanako I have coming out called Beyond the Wisteria Trees. I hope you all enjoy! -

You lifted me up and fueled my dreams, now yesterday’s gone
The sign of Hanako’s beautiful, obsidian-colored crow flying to her usually meant information for another mission or a letter from a peer -- sometimes even Oyakata himself. Even though Arisu always closely followed Hanako, there were times when the crow would need to deliver and receive messages for the Flower Pillar. Though, the message that Arisu brought her on this particular blue-skied morning was nothing but devastating.
Hanako was at her mansion -- a large and beautiful home surrounded by several wisteria trees, with a variety of different flowers adorning the soft grass -- doing a bit of gardening. Kyojuro had told her before leaving to board Mugen Train that he would return here after the mission was finished. So, as long as there were no other missions or tasks to complete, Hanako was going to do just that -- wait for her love to return home, safe and sound in her arms.
A distant caw broke Hanako out of her thoughts about Kyojuro. She looked to the sky, seeing that Arisu was flying overhead, swooping down to greet her. A scroll of parchment was hanging from her beak, and Hanako knew this was one of two things -- it was time for another mission, or simply just a letter from a friend. She sighed, hoping it was the latter.
Arisu landed in front of where Hanako was kneeling on the ground over some sakura flowers. She looked at her crow, seeing that she had a sad look etched upon her little face. After years of being with her, Hanako could easily read her crow’s emotions. Instantly, Hanako felt a twinge of anxiety hit her gut.
Taking the note from Arisu, she unrolled it with nimble fingers. The message laid upon the parchment were the words that Hanako always feared she’d read one day.
Rengoku Kyojuro, the Flame Pillar, has died.
He was killed in battle against Upper Moon Three.
May his soul find peace in the afterlife.
Hanako had to read the note over several times to grasp exactly what she was reading. Kyojuro... dead? There was no way. Kyojuro was smart, he was strong -- but Upper Moon Three must have been stronger.
A sob escaped Hanako, the note dropping to the ground as she covered her face with shaking hands. Arisu, seeing her human friend in anguish, let out a soft coo, looking to the ground.
“It can’t be true,” Hanako sniffled out to no one in particular. “He can’t be gone.”
When I breathe I whisper your name in memory, ‘cause yesterday’s gone
She heard Arisu let out another coo before flapping her wings, setting off towards the sky. Hanako understood -- Arisu had orders and other things to do than sit there and watch her cry. Though, she wished more than ever that there was someone to console her. How would the other Pillars react? Would they feel the same? Or would they only think about it in passing, knowing that this was something they all had signed up for?
Tengen, Mitsuri and Shinobu were always so kind to Kyojuro -- she would see it when they shared meals together at the Corps Mansion. Even the normally quiet Giyu would crack a smile at his optimism every now and then. Hell, everyone loved Kyojuro. There was no way you couldn’t be drawn to someone that resembled sunshine.
Hanako guessed that she should’ve been thinking that way, too. That was their job as Demon Slayers -- protect those who can’t protect themselves, and die for the cause if necessary. She couldn’t remember exactly how many Demon Slayers (and Pillars in particular) had lost their lives since she joined the Corps.
Though, for whatever stupid reason she had created in her mind, Hanako never thought that Kyojuro would be one of those to join the number of people killed by demons. The thought only made her cry harder, the tears now coming in a never-ending stream. Tiny tears hit the soil below her, her once beautiful garden becoming melancholy.
With a sniffle and a hand wiping tears away, Hanako looked at the flowers surrounding her -- there were flame azaleas planted in large quantities around her mansion. Hanako kept a large stock of them growing because Kyojuro had told her that it was the flower he liked the best. She fondly remembered the memory of the first spring when she had grown them at her mansion.
It had been a few months after she was officially made a Pillar. Kyojuro was watching her plant flowers, helping out whenever she grew frustrated with something -- like he always did.
“Hanako, what are these?” Kyojuro asked, pointing to a bunch of flaming orange-yellow flowers. “And why do you have so many of them?”
She smiled at him, seeing that the ones he was pointing to were her favorites. “Those are flame azaleas. I like them because they remind me of you.”
He cracked a grin at her words, making Hanako’s heart flutter in happiness. “How so?”
“Well,” she moved over to where a flower had fallen from the stem, picking it up. “It reminds me…” Hanako padded over to where he was sitting. She held the flower up to the side of his face, tucking the short stem that held the petals behind his ear. “...of your hair.”
Kyojuro gently plucked the flower free, bringing it in front of his face and closely examining it. With his free hand, he grabbed a tuft of his bright red-and-yellow hair, bringing it next to the flower and comparing the two colors. Hanako giggled at the close proximity of the flower to Kyojuro’s face.
“And they’re bright and beautiful. So, I guess… they just make me think of you,” Hanako finished, voice soft and laced with shyness.
After a few seconds, he pulled the flower away, one his hugely adorable smiles painting his face. A barely noticeable blush had popped up onto his face, as well. “I think this one is my favorite, too.”
The memory of Kyojuro’s wide, toothy grin made more tears surface. After that day, he would always comment on the flame azaleas around her mansion when he visited. Hanako even brought him a bouquet of them once, making that same cute blush spread across his face as he accepted them.
But I know I can move on from that cold December rain
Another memory surfaced in Hanako’s mind as she finally got up, brushing away the dirt on her knees. Her hand immediately rested on her sword’s hilt, making her think back to tsuguko training.
Being his tsuguko, Kyojuro was the one who taught Hanako how to properly fight with her nichirin sword. If she was being honest, Hanako survived the Final Selection out of pure luck -- the trainer she had before Kyojuro did jackshit in training her how to defend herself. Though, she only had to kill two measly demons during her seven days on the mountain. Thank the gods.
Her tsuguko training with Kyojuro was progressing smoothly up until one day -- she was growing frustrated due to the fact that she couldn’t master a technique that he wanted her to get down.
“I can’t do this!” Hanako exclaimed, agitated beyond belief. The other breathing techniques that Kyojuro had taught her were easy enough, but for whatever reason, this particular one was a pain in the ass. Usually, she wouldn’t be so whiny about not getting a technique down perfectly the first time, but she wanted to impress Kyojuro.
He stood in front of Hanako with crossed arms, watching his tsuguko grow more and more frustrated. “What do you not understand? Let’s work through it together.”
Hanako looked up at him, and nearly choked, wishing she hadn’t -- he had shed his flame-decorated haori, leaving him in his Demon Slayer uniform. His strong, muscular arms could be seen through the greyish-black fabric. His bright hair was completely pulled back, leaving his sharp jawline open to Hanako’s wandering eyes.
Damn it. He’s too pretty for me to concentrate.
“I just don’t know why I can’t get this form right,” she explained, running a hand through her hair and looking away from him. I can’t be distracted by you, Kyojuro. “All of the other ones you’ve been teaching me have been simple enough.”
There was a pregnant silence. Hanako could hear the laughter of Gyomei and Sanemi in the background, the soft breeze blowing through wind chimes, and the rustle of the wisteria trees as she stared at the ground. Kyojuro had suggested he train her at the Demon Slayer Corp mansion, wanting her to become familiar with their way of life.
After what felt like an eternity -- but was probably only a few seconds -- Kyojuro let out a deep and hearty laugh. “But that’s the thing, Hanako…”
He began to move behind her, making Hanako wonder exactly what the hell he was doing. Though, when Kyojuro moved behind her, showing her the correct way to hold the nichirin sword, she thanked the gods and Buddha that she was in this moment.
His strong arms were holding hers, placing her hands in the correct position. She felt his chest at her back, his steady breaths tickling the top of her head. Kyojuro was wrapped around her in a hug -- except, they were training, not sharing a fond touch.
“You don’t have to get it right on the first try,” he finally finished, showing her the proper way to execute the technique she was trying to master.
“You’ll do great either way. You’ve already impressed me thus far. Just keep at it.”
Hanako knew, in this moment, that she truly loved Kyojuro. He was not just her savior and teacher anymore, no; he was her everything.
Regret filled Hanako at the memory, realizing that she had never properly expressed her feelings for him. Sure, they had discussed having a “talk” after he came back from his mission, but did he really know what she had meant?
Did Kyojuro know that Hanako loved him?
She was positive that everyone else already knew; with the way she looked at him like he was the best, most precious thing this world had to offer, she had been teased relentlessly by Shinobu and Tengen (making Hanako hastily hush them, saying “He might hear you!”).
Hanako glared at the ground, clenching her fists. Easy for you to say, Tengen. You have three wives.
Though, it made Hanako realize something; she could either live her life in regret, knowing that Kyojuro may have never felt the same way…
Or, she could continue to live out his legacy, and hunt down and kill Upper Moon Three. Upon thinking for a few minutes, she nodded to herself in conclusion. It’s what he would’ve wanted.
Wiping the remaining tears from her face, Hanako composed herself. She looked up to the azure sky.
I’m going to avenge you, my love. Even if it’s the last thing I’ll ever do.
Straight from my heart I wish you could see how I’ve changed
