I want someone to explain to me - not just explain to me, but talk extra slowly and use the smallest words possible, okay? Baby, explain it to me like I’m 5. Explain to me with a straight face how besides the 1602 episode, there isn’t really any place it would’ve been “appropriate” for Sam to appear in a show that is literally titled What If.
Sell that shit to the tourists, because I’m not buying it.
They didn’t know what was going to happen with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier? Mmm hmm. Well, sure, but I bet they knew one thing lmao. I bet they knew Sam was going to be Captain America or doing something Captain America adjacent at the end of it. Logically, there were only so many ways it could’ve gone. Sam got the shield at the end of Endgame, as far as the audience knew, he was Captain America in the MCU at that point. He’s been Cap in the comics multiple times. A show is coming out called The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Steve isn’t in it, and Steve has already given Sam the shield.
Now, what does one plus one equal to y’all? 🤪
No, none of us could’ve predicted the plot exactly, but I bet the WI writers knew Sam was still gonna be kicking around in the MCU, so they could’ve put him in their little cartoon 🤷🏾‍♀️ Hell, they put people in it that aren’t still kicking in the MCU. You know why? Because the show is called WHAT IF! I just—
Why are people playing right now? He could’ve been Falcon!Sam. He could’ve been Anybody!Sam - what are y’all even on???
Anyway, if you just don’t care that Sam wasn’t in What If (I don’t count that zombie mess), or anything else, then that’s fine, that’s your prerogative, you can do what you want to do lol, but when you say stuff that doesn’t make a lick of sense to defend your opinions, it’s weird, just sayin’

It's actually kind of funny how completely predictable it was that making the MCU movies and streaming series depend on each other would make both completely unwatchable to casual viewers, and yet they went and did anyways, the mad lads.
Just thinking about how crazy it is that they sacrificed legitimately good shows like "Luke Cage" and "Jessica Jones" to make "Falcon and Winter Soldier" and "Secret Invasion" on a proprietary streaming service.

Lily, are you ready to give up all hope on mankind? Because I sure am. The new Guardians of the Galaxy film had some animal torture scenes in it to show how evil the villain is, and Marvel fans on twitter are now sucking the movie's dick for how much "the MCU has finally matured with its audience" while blissfully ignoring She-Hulk, a law drama about sexism and corporate corruption, just because it had a goofy twerking scene in it. Not to mention the Falcon & Winter Soldier show and both Black Panther movies, which all addressed racism as the main theme. It really does seem like these fans see misery and literal torture as the only signs of maturity instead of actual serious grown-up topics.
I'm not going to give up hope on humanity just because Fandom is predictably boring

Name of fic: bad idea right? Pairings: Jeremy Renner x OFC (Simone), Anthony Mackie x OFC (Simone - brother/sister relationship), Sebastian Stan/Anthony Mackie. Plot summary: Her half-brother Anthony invited Simone to an afterparty where some famous people go to have a blast of a party. But it feels like the more time she spends at the party, the more she wants to go home with Jeremy… it’s a bad idea, right? Fic inspired by: The song “bad idea right?” by Olivia Rodrigo. Author’s note: I’m not gonna keep saying “half-brother”, so if it says brother then you know what I mean. And don’t worry Simone is 22, so she’s old enough.

Simone’s POV
Halloween. 2023.
My black curly hair was up in a ponytail as I wore a loose, revealing black dress, see-through grey tights, really long, black leather boots and cat ears and tail – with black makeup on my face to show a cute little nose and whiskers, and of course fangs – I walked into the undisclosed location of an afterparty somewhere in Los Angeles. I was Anthony Mackie’s plus-one, and I was his half-sister, surprisingly.
“Simi!” And that was his annoying voice. I was joking of course. I could see he was dressed as zombie Falcon – a very unoriginal idea if you ask me. But I noticed him talking to Sebastian Stan – who was Cowboy Ken – and someone else; I waved at him as I walked over to the group and as I got closer to them, I realised who the third person was.
No fuckin’ way.
“Jeremy?” I exclaimed out loud as I recognised the dimples in Renner’s face when he smiled. Yes, I didn’t acknowledge Anthony or Sebastian that much, but can you blame me? I haven’t seen Jeremy since I did some voice work for his film, Arctic Dogs.
I was trying to figure out what Jeremy was wearing exactly. Was he like a vampire? Or some kind of Joker? I could see some kind of temporary hair dye in his hair.
“Hey, Simone!” I heard him excitedly say back to me, and I then felt him hug me and softly kiss my cheek. I tried not to freak out as I heard snickering from my brother’s mouth. Jeremy had a confusing look on his face as we both pulled away.
I gave Anthony a look, tilting my head with a look as I glared at him. “Anthony Dwane Mackie. Don’t you fuckin’ snigger at me.” “What? I-I was not sniggering at all!” Anthony said, looking like I offended him in some way and a hand on his chest, gasping out loud, to which Sebastian playfully slapped his ‘friend’s’ arm. “Anyways, are you dressed as a sexy cat?” “Mh-hm. A sexy vampire cat, to be more exact.” I explained to them, showing off the bite mark that was on my neck and the fangs of course, which made Sebastian have a confused look on his face. “I didn’t know cats could be vampires…” “It’s called using your imagination, Sebastian,” Anthony remarked. “Well, I think it looks good on you, Simone.”
I heard Jeremy complimenting me and I tried not to blush at his words.
“And what are you supposed to be, Mackie? Because going as your own character is so predictable for you.” Jeremy then asked Mackie.
I just nodded at what Jeremy just said, his laughter was quite loud. I could hear him trying to get his words out, his drink going down the wrong way.
“I’m sorry, but that costume is so unoriginal!” “Oh, so going as a sexy vampire is any better?” As Anthony said that, Jeremy had a confused look on his face. ‘Was he not a vampire?’ I thought to myself. As he showed my brother that he didn’t have any fake fangs in his mouth, it was clear that he wasn’t dressed as a vampire.
“Does this look like I’m a vampire?” “Not really mate,” Sebastian said casually, with a shrug of his shoulders. “What are you supposed to be exactly?” “I’m supposed to be Lucifer. From the show? Hence the suit and the slight red hair dye….” Jeremy tried to explain to Anthony, Sebastian and myself, but the Falcon and Winter Soldier duo couldn’t see it. They then started to complain about where his horns and wings were.
But I was digging the costume. It did look like he was blooded up and the suit was teared up. He looked quite hot like that.
“Doesn’t Lucifer have horns or, at least wings?” Anthony asked him. “Well yes, but even though he does have them, does he show them all the time? No.” “Well, I think it’s a cool outfit idea actually,” I said out loud, but I wouldn’t expect to say the next thing that came out of my mouth. “It’s actually quite hot.” My hands went to my mouth as quick as the Flash, and my eyes noticed Anthony – again – trying so hard not to laugh out loud. Sebastian was facing away from us, so I couldn’t tell if he was sniggering.
Of course, I was too scared to see Jeremy’s reaction.
Little did I know that he was smirking at my unique choice of words.
“Ooh, they’re doing karaoke!” I exhaled as Anthony changed the subject, but I was dreading for him to ask me to sing. “Sis, you should definitely sing!” “Wait, you can sing?” That surprised Jeremy as I sighed, shrugging my shoulders. I didn’t want to sing in front of a few hundred people. That was not my thing. “Y-yeah…?” I said with slight hesitation to my voice. “Please could you sing for me?” Anthony pleaded with me.
All that I could was freeze for a moment. But it looked like Jeremy could see the nervousness in me as he placed a hand on my shoulder, which seemed to calm me down slightly.
“If she doesn’t want to sing, then she doesn’t have to,” Jeremy told Anthony with a stern look on his face. “Fine, fine… But anyway me and Sebastian are going to go up. C’mon, Seb!” “Wait what-”
I didn’t even hear Sebastian trying to get his words out or see Anthony pulling his best mate towards the karaoke machine as I was quite distracted by Jeremy himself… Which only left me and Jeremy on our own. My anxiousness rose as soon as I realised that it was only the two of us together.
I couldn’t think of anything to say to him. Other than…
“So how have you been since… y’know?” I asked him, not wanting to bring the taboo subject up. I didn’t know if it was a good thing to ask him about his well-being after his accident. But as soon as I heard him say that he was well, that lifted my spirits a little bit. “I’ve been well, I guess… how about you?” He asked me with a soft smile. “Meh. I mean, my career in both music and acting is going alright. I was in the Barbie movie-” “Oh shit yeah! You were the… daughter, right?” I just nodded as Jeremy continued to say. “I didn’t mean any of what I said about Barbie…” All I did was laugh. “Don’t worry Jeremy. I don’t take offence to any of that.” She chuckled with a slight blush on her face.
Jeremy also laughed softly, with a small smile on his face.
“That’s good. I don’t want to be mean to you.” Jeremy said to me, to which I raised an eyebrow at what he said. “What? Jay, you’ve never been mean to me… what do you mean?” I asked him with a confused look on my face. “Well, I’ve never wanted to be disrespectful or angry at you. I know how you hate grappling with emotions and people being mean to you. It makes you annoyed–” “Jeremy… what are you going on about?”
Jeremy moved closer towards me and cleared his throat.
“Well…” Jeremy was trying to get his words out, and I realised he was trying to avoid eye contact with me. Not deliberately of course, but I had a feeling why he was being like this around me. “Jeremy… is it because you like me, not as a friend, but romantically?” I asked him, with a blush on my face, hesitantly touching his arm. He looked at me with a slight chuckle coming up his throat, managing to face me again. “I guess that’s what I’m trying to say, yeah.”
I just looked at him with a bright smile, and he could see the blush on my face. I saw him move even closer towards me, and it felt like the world had stopped spinning. Did his arm accidentally touch my own?
“Do you want to get out of here, Simone? This party is a bit of a bore, right?” Jeremy asked, standing beside me and unconsciously parting his lips, clearing his throat. “You want to leave my brother and his friend here?” I retort back, noticing that Jeremy was sipping his drink and licking his lips. “Well, I think he’s doing quite well here actually,” Jeremy said as he pointed towards my brother, who was clearly flirting with Sebastian. I knew that they had a thing, but I always thought that it was a joke or something.
Anthony and Sebastian were still at the karaoke machine, singing some kind of rap/hip-hop song – to which I couldn’t figure out what the song was – and I noticed that my brother was sexually gazing at Sebastian, exploring his body. And then Sebastian was reaching out to slide his fingers down to Anthony’s hand and pulling him close.
“Okay then. We can get out of here.” I smiled at him before he took my hand and led me out of the undisclosed location of the party.
Tumblr media
As we both got to his place – as he had a house in LA if he was visiting the city – he had some things to take into his home, so his hands were quite full as he was carrying some bags. “Do you mind getting the door? My keys are in my pocket.” Jeremy angled himself so that I could get to his pocket. I put my hand into his jeans pocket but there were no keys that I could feel.
“Uhm… darlin’, those aren’t my keys.” Jeremy awkwardly said with a slight chuckle, as he looked away. “Oh shit! Fuck, I am so sorry Jay!” A flush creeps across my cheeks, as I moved my hand out of his pocket as quickly as lightning, my ears turned red as she thought sweat was falling down my forehead. “It’s okay. They’re actually in my jacket pocket. The one closest to you.” Jeremy said with a chuckle and a smirk, as he watched me slowly putting my hand in the pocket of his suit jacket. I started to rummage my hand around it until I felt them, taking them out.
I took the bags out of his hand for him, as I wasn’t sure which way the key turned to unlock the door, so he did that whilst I waited for him to open the door. After he did, he smiled as a ‘thank you’, taking the bags out of my hands and letting me in first.
As he closed the door behind us, I watched him walk over to the kitchen and put the bags on the counter. He must’ve gone shopping earlier in the day. A lack of eye contact was definitely there for me, realising that he was walking back towards me.
“Please Simone, make yourself comfortable.” He gestured towards the couch in the room and I nodded slightly, slowly walking over towards it. As I sat down in the seat, Jeremy was simply leaning against the doorway with a smirk on his face, tilting his head like he was quite interested in me.
And I instantly knew he was DEFINITELY interested in me.
“So..?” I said with a nervous tick, a small smile grew on my face as I observed him walking over to me. Was he trying to change his posture and walk to fit the character he was dressed up as? Or was it normal? “You romantically like me then?” I asked him, to which he chuckled softly.
He then sat next to me, putting his arm around me. “Yeah, I do…” He then placed his other hand on my face, before leaning down and gently pressing his lips to mine. It made me gasp softly as our lips met, and I felt an electric charge jolt through my body. I was lost in the moment, consumed by the heat of his mouth on mine.
As we pulled away, we both shared a soft intake of breath; we looked at each other with a smile and all I could say to it was, “Wow” as I heard Jeremy chuckle softly.
“You liked that?” He asked me – my face was as red as a tomato – as I nodded slowly. I then gained the confidence to put my hands on the back of his neck, pulling his head closer towards mine. “Oh… you want another one, darlin’?” He asked me with a smile, innocently letting me take the lead on what was about to happen.
“Perhaps I want something more…” I decided to flirt with him, to which I noticed him raising an eyebrow with a smile on his face. “You sure about that?” Jeremy retorted back at me. “Jay, I’m only 22. I want you to be my first time, I’m sure of that.” I nodded at him, confessing that I hadn’t had my virginity taken from me yet, and Jeremy was going to be my first time. And he was quite surprised about that.
“Wait, y-you’re a virgin?” He asked me with a raised eyebrow. And all I did was nod nervously, biting my lip. “Simone, it’s okay. I’ll make sure your first time is… memorable.” He said to me with a smile, to which I retaliated back.
I felt his hand lifting up my chin, and his thumb rubbing my soft and delicate bottom lip. “Really?” “I’m definitely sure, Mona.” I heard him chuckle deeply.
I instantly blushed at the nickname as I felt him pull my body towards his, as close as he could, before kissing me again passionately. Of course, I kissed him back, feeling his hands on my waist and I moaned softly against his lips.

Just a big marvel discussion that bounces around. Think of it as a thought exercise. Basically a mess. Feel free to ignore! I don’t really have people to talk about this sort of thing with me so if you want to join in, I’d be happy to have you! :)  I’m glad Kevin Feige is finally saying to slow down on the Marvel content. I love Marvel, but it’s become such a homework assignment to understand everything. I am WELL AWARE the “No one is making you watch it” bit, but I can still say my thoughts.  If you haven’t seen like...5 different shows and movies, Ant-Man is going to be hard to understand - and I’m basing that off the trailer and non spoiler reviews. I LOVE Ant-Man, so I’m sad that it’s getting bad reviews, but it’s getting messy and complicated. I really felt the MCU should have ended at Endgame with maybe a mini series of what each major set of characters are up to. Meaning, like 5 or 6 episodes - one to the major groups. Just an idea. Spoilers for Falcon and the Winter Soldier below.
I mean, Kang the Conqueror, Skrulls, Galactucus, possibly Dr. Doom (This is a guess!!!) that’s so much. I am NOT saying they are bad story lines or bad characters, but it almost makes each “worst villain ever/biggest threat ever” mean a little less when they are all rather similar. However,, a lot of people’s contracts are ending soon so I think we’re basically going to be spending the a lot of movies and shows with our favorites being killed off. My predictions are literally most of the Guardians of the Galaxy.  Possibly Bucky in the future because Seb’s contract is ending soon so I’m thinking Thunderbolts? I hope not, but I’m not sure. His Winter Soldier character has been so wasted. I hate how his story line was literally summed up in a montage. No discussion with Yori that we see, we don’t get to see him work for forgiveness with A SINGLE person on his list. NOT ONE. But he gives it to his therapist and is like I'm done :) I LOVE Sam’s storyline. I cried a lot, but Bucky? Utterly trashed.  Anthony Mackie has several movies to do and I’m excited to see him. Don Cheadle talked a lot about how he’s basically ready to move on. Basically anyone that has been there 10+ years I think is in “danger”. The young avengers are safe, and I definitely think it’s going to be a show despite Marvel saying there won’t be because we know to expect the opposite. I’m not sure how long Tom Hiddleston will be around after Loki season 2. I feel like his time is ending and personally, I felt like his character had something off and I really don’t like Sylvie. I think that’s one of the problems, some of the characters aren’t exactly likeable that are going to take over. The Eternals is a good example of that. Shang- Chi is going to be a great character. Dr. Strange, IDK.  This is why I’m only accepting request for the Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye characters at the moment because while I LOVE a lot of other characters, I think it’s better to try something new with the characters I know well before branching out to others. I think the super-hero movies are starting to get oversaturated like westerns did 50 years ago. To keep up, we need quality. Not quantity. Those are just my opinions, no one has to agree with m, but I’m always happy to discuss.

fanfic writer asks
tagged by @bisamwilson; here are some answers to some questions
How many works do you have on AO3?
17!
What’s your total AO3 word count?
106,109 words! A number that is absolutely bonkers to me, tbh.
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
On AO3 specifically, seven fandoms: The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Kissing in the Rain, Green Gables Fables, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Rogue One, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Cloak and Dagger.
(RIP to that one Teen Wolf fic I posted in college and deleted last year.)
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
i never planned on no one like you (1569 kudos)
love at first sight's for suckers (at least it used to be) (1189 kudos)
hello, welcome home (868 kudos)
nothing in the world so well as you (451 kudos)
something good and right and real (353 kudos)
The first four are all Spider-Man: Homecoming; the last is the Anne/Gilbert fake dating AU I wrote for Green Gables Fables a million years ago.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Listen. I am fundamentally a wimp, so I tend to avoid writing angst because it scares me and I always feel like it’ll turn into melodrama. Having said that, the first chapter in the nothing in the world so well as you collection might win this title on a technicality because I unwittingly predicted one of the sadder moments in No Way Home.
What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
I am always all about the happy/hopeful endings, frankly, but if I had to choose between them, I think I’d go for parks and rebellion. It’s not overtly romantic or anything, but I just feel like it holds so much hope and promise for the future, and I am always emotional about people finding themselves a home and allowing themselves to be still.
Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?
Sort of? I’ve been referring to by land, by sea, by dirigible as “the C&D crossover” the entire time I’ve been planning/writing it, but since Cloak and Dagger and TFATWS are both within the MCU, I’m not sure whether that counts?
I did, however, back in the day, write @compactpersian some birthday fics that crossed over Warehouse 13 with Doctor Who, Veronica Mars, and Elementary (although not all at the same time.) They’re buried somewhere on this blog tho and definitely not on AO3 so good luck finding them.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Nope, but that’s less because I have anything against it and more because writing that stuff well is very very difficult and not a skill I have.
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Yes! I’m always so heartwarmed when someone takes a beat to leave a comment on something I wrote and I want people to know that I appreciate it. I try my best to get to them all, but sometimes on older fics, they sort of fall by the wayside and I do feel a little bad about that.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Back when I wrote Peter/MJ fic, I would sometimes get annoying comments from people who were clearly just looking for an excuse to shit on Michelle as a character, but those were pretty promptly deleted and it wasn’t really an issue.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Thankfully, no!
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, but if anyone wants to, they’re welcome to get in touch!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I don’t co-write, necessarily, but I have a select few trusted friends with whom I can freely riff on fic concepts or AUs and their input is always invaluable. (Technically, nothing in the world so well as you is co-written, but in that case, my friend and I traded off writing one-shots, so that hardly counts.)
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Obligatory shoutout to Sam/Bucky for spurring me to write fic after a nearly four year hiatus and to Anne Shirley/Gilbert Blythe for being effervescent in every universe, but I think the answer has to be Jyn/Cassian. It’s part of the bedrock upon which I bonded with my best friend, so I can’t imagine anything taking its place anytime soon.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
The modern Musketeers AU that features Porthos and Elodie in a marriage of convenience! It is very dear to me but there are so many moving parts that I think it’ll only ever live in my heart and messages with my friends.
What are your writing strengths?
My go-to answer is that I’m good at making the world of a story feel lived-in, but I’ve also been told that I have a knack for throwing in little details in body language or other bits of narration that open out the characters more or reveal something about their dynamics, and if I manage that one consistently, I’ll be a happy girl.
What are your writing weaknesses?
One day, my final sentences will be something other than just the place where the writing stops, but it is not this day.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
It’s tricksy and I really admire authors who can do it naturally. I’m always wary of throwing in languages I don’t speak, because of how sketchy Google translate can be, and the ones that I speak aside from English just haven’t come up organically in any fics I’ve written.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
I posted a Chuck fic on FFN in the wake of the series finale, but I’m sure I’d dabbled-but-never-posted in fics for different fandoms before that.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
At the moment, it’s by land, by sea, by dirigible, both because it’s a WIP that I’m actually on track to finish after years of fic based commitment issues and because, thanks to it slowly simmering over the course of a whole year, I have accidentally put my whole entire soul into it and I hope it shows.
tagging @birdhapley @philtstone @abnerskrill  and @ankahikoibaat if they’re so inclined

Finding Home
A story by me, under my pseud StuckyTillTheEndOfTheLine:
Although he won't admit it to anyone, Bucky is struggling to heal and move on. He's going to therapy like he's supposed to, but he tries not to share too much with Dr. Raynor. He doesn't need anyone else poking around inside his head, after all. Besides, it's not like she can magically bring Steve back from the dead. And then she suggests he write a letter to get down everything he's been bottling up inside. Even though he's skeptical, Bucky writes a letter to Steve. What happens next is something he couldn't have predicted in a million years.
OR: the time travel fix-it that was born after I read a poorly written fanfic where Bucky wrote a letter to Steve after Endgame.

Going back on Matt, I'm more frustrated on the fact that he seems to be a wasted opportunity. A former friend of the team versus a new friend of the team (the Matt vs Tommy angle they are going for) would have been so interesting due to their contrasting viewpoints!
It would've been more interesting to see a guy who's on edge with the team after being their former friend versus a guy who's fiercely loyal to them after being their brainwashed enemy!
Heck, making Matt a tense ally to the rangers a la Merrick before the inevitable turn would've been really interesting!
Sorry! I'm just really frustrated on Matt being a wasted character when he could've been good.
I can't call M/tt wasted because that would imply I saw any value in his existence in the first place but it's truly baffling that they chose the most whitebread vanilla route with him. Instead of leaning in to his previous traits of being an entitled meathead jock who wants to prove he's The Chosen One through any means possible, including hurting his friends and girlfriend, and turning him into a genuinely unique for this franchise, metatextual villain a la John Walker from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier or Jason from the newest season of Stranger Things, they just wiped it all clean in favor of the dime a dozen "oh he's a good boy who acts brave but he's secretly scared and just needs the right moment to prove he had the potential inside him all along uwu" trope. They gave him Year One Tommy's story but surgically removed the parts that made the conflicts of that arc interesting and make sense
Some people acted like it was a good thing M/tt wasn't evil after the Dome Arc because it would have been "predictable" (ARRRRGH) while missing the point that if he was a Green Ranger willingly turned antagonist, that would have made him a foil to Tommy, which narratively already gives him more purpose than just "guy who shows up sometimes so we can pretend he's part of the team because rangers not chosen by Zordon are valid is a lesson we needed to learn, apparently"
It's just clear to me that beyond Ryan's author bias for M/tt they just wanted the money shots of stuff like all seven MMPRs together and the Tiger/Dragon combo as quickly as possible so they steamrolled through all the potentially interesting parts to get them, without realizing that they sabotaged themselves by doing so. Or maybe they DID realize considering he's barely on covers anymore

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Part II
Bucky Barnes x OGcharacter
Tumblr media
The events in this chapter are the same as the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but with the character thrust in. 99.9% are the movie.
Now with an actual plan Alexandra, Natasha, Steve, and Sam attempt to find out what HYDRA is planning.
Word Count: 1,604
Series List
WARNINGS: Slight swearing, violence
Chapter 12
I waited on the roof of a building across the street with my rifle. The plan wasn’t to shoot him but to scare him enough to comply. Sam called Sitwell, and I waited for the signal. So I listened to his one-sided conversation. I watched through the scope. Making sure there were no surprises.
“Agent Sitwell, how was lunch? I hear the crab cakes here are delicious.” There was a pause. “The good-looking guy in the glasses, you're ten o’clock. Your other ten o’clock.” Sitwell’s mouth moved, but I couldn’t hear. “You’re gonna go around the corner, to your right. There’s a grey car, two spaces down. We’re going to take a ride.” Silence. “Because that tie looks really expensive.” That was the signal that I turned on the red beam. Aimed right at his chest.
He went white and followed Sam’s instructions.
Tumblr media
I followed behind Steve as he pushed Sitwell through the door to the roof.
“Tell me about Zola’s algorithm.”
“Never heard of it.”
“What were you doing on the Lemurian Star?”
“I was throwing up, I get seasick.” Steve forced him to the edge of the rooftop. He smiled. “Is this little display meant to insinuate that you’re gonna throw me off the roof? Not really you’re style, Rogers''
“You’re right. It’s not. It’s hers.” Steve stepped aside letting me kick him off the roof edge. I heard his screams as he fell.
“Oh, wait. What about that girl from accounting, Laura..?”
“Lillian. Lip piercing, right?”
“Yeah, she’s cute.” I wasn't sure why I was so invested in Steve going on a date with someone. I could focus that energy on myself.
“Yeah, I’m not ready for that.” Then Sam in his Falcon suit, flew over the edge holding a very scared man. Sam threw him onto the ground behind us. He held his hands up in fear.
“Zola’s algorithm is a program...for choosing Insight’s targets.” He frantically said.
“What targets?”
“You! A TV anchor in Cairo, the Undersecretary of Defense, a high school valedictorian in Iowa City. Bruce Banner, Stephen Strange, anyone who’s a threat to HYDRA! Now or in the future.”
“The future? How could it know?”
He laughed. “How could it not? The 21st century is a digital book. Zola taught HYDRA how to read it. Your bank records, medical histories, voting patterns, e-mails, phone calls, you damn SAT scores. Zola’s algorithm evaluates people’s past to predict their future.”
“And what then?”
“Pierce is going to kill me.”
“What then!” Steve said in a more assertive voice.
“Then the Insight Helicarriers scratch people off the list. A few million at a time.”
Mass genocide was their goal? I thought I was crazy.

We regrouped in Sam’s car. I’m sitting in the middle with a gun on Sitwell so he didn’t do anything stupid.
“HYDRA doesn’t like leaks.” He said.
“So why don’t you try sticking a cork in it.” Sam quipped.
“Insight’s launching in sixteen hours, we’re cutting it a little bit close here,” Nat said.
“I know. We’ll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly.” Steve said.
“What? Are you crazy? That is a terrible idea.”
“Can you just shut up?” I demanded. That’s when it started like clockwork. This time it was different. More defined, clear. I’ve only heard it like this two other times.
“Hurry,” I yelled.
If I would’ve blinked I would’ve missed it. The car window shattered, and I watched as Sitwell was pulled out of the car, and thrown into traffic.
“What the fu-” He was on top of the car and started shooting. Steve pulled the emergency brake. Throwing him forward onto the street.
I lifted my hand to shoot when a car smashed into us throwing me forward. I hit my head on the dash and dropped my gun. The Winter Soldier jumped back onto the car. Smashing his metal hand into the windshield, ripping the steering wheel out.
“Shit,” Sam yelled. I found the gun on the ground and blindly started shooting through the roof.
“Hang on.” Suddenly Steve was grabbing the back of my shirt, and the car started to flip. I grabbed onto Sam, and all four of us skidded down the street on the ripped-off car door.
We came to a stop, and I watched the Winter Soldier joined by HYDRA agents as they started shooting, we scattered. I ran off to find cover behind a car. The others went the other way.
Peaking over the hood of a car. The Winter Soldier shot a grenade at Steve. His shield protected him, but he still went flying over the overpass.
I only had one knife, and half a magazine. The agents are relentlessly shooting. I’m not getting a chance to get off a shot.
Taking a chance I peeked around to see a grenade heading my way. I vaulted over the highway divider just in time my cover was blown up.
I got to get off this bridge. I risked running across the street almost getting run over by a car. I’m about to edge when the car next to me exploded. Hitting me, and knocking me over the edge.
I adjusted myself so I landed on my feet. Not my head. Since I’m down here I could check on Steve. I ran under the overpass.
Because of the sun, I could see the shadow of him. He was looking out not down at me. I sneaked into a position where I could see him perfectly, and I shot. I must’ve hit him since he disappeared behind his barrier.
I moved. Once I was repositioned he reappeared, and started spraying bullets. I really pissed him off. I shot back till I was out, and I ran. Hopefully, I pissed him off enough that he followed me, and the others could get away.
I took a glance back, and he jumped down to the street. I picked up my pace.
I needed a plan. Distract him enough to get close. My combat skills have improved since last time. I hope I’m right.
I recorded an emergency message on my phone and put it on repeat. A little trick Nat taught me.
With it playing behind a car I sat and waited. I didn’t need to watch for him. Since I had a Winter Soldier beacon in my head. I didn’t risk him seeing me. The screaming got louder, and louder till it was deafening. He was right behind me. Then there was an explosion.
I jumped over a car and pinned his upper body between my legs. Taking out my knife I try and stab him in the chest. He grabbed my hand to resist. I tighten my grip with my legs as he tries to buck me off.
Throwing me back against a car my balance faltered, and he was able to throw me off. I went flying across the road. He was about to shoot me when his metal arm went limp.
Nat helped me up, and we ran. Around the corner, there were still so many civilians.
“Get out of the way,” Nat yelled at them. “Run.” A single gunshot rang. Hitting Nat right in the shoulder. She collapsed. Dragging her closer to the car for cover.
“You need to run.” She said.
“No way.”
He stepped around and was about to shoot when Steve came up beside him, and they started to fight. Giving me a chance to check Nat's wound.
“The bullet went straight through.” It wasn’t anywhere life-threatening at the moment, but she was still losing a lot of blood.
“We need to get you out of here. I’m going to distract him. You need to go.” I said.
With my knife in hand, I went out. Steve and I weren’t landing any attacks. Each punch was deflected. Every swipe of the knife dodged.
I got some good kicks, but I got in reach of his metal arm. He grabbed my neck and threw me into a van. I rolled over the hood and landed on the concrete. My head bounced on the ground.
I could only watch Steve fight this guy alone. My head was fuzzy, and I had a hard time moving.
I’m finally getting movement in my arms. Sitting up I saw The Winter Soldier losing his mask. Revealing his face. Then Steve just stood there, mouth wide open.
“Bucky?” Steve stood in the middle of the street dumbfounded.
Bucky? The Bucky Barnes? When Steve brought me to the Smithsonian to teach me his history he told me about his best friend. I even saw pictures. How could I not put this together? I’m smarter than that. Well, I thought.
When I saw the photos I felt peace and calm. Not this roaring rage when I see the man in front of me now. I thought there were similarities, but it didn’t connect. It was the eyes. Even the photos I've seen reminded me of the man in the lab next to me.
We all stood there for a moment. Steve was stunned, I was floored, and The Winter… Bucky was confused.
“Who the hell is Bucky?” He raised his hand to shoot at Steve. He was still standing there frozen. I tackled Steve to the ground just as Bucky shot.
Then there was an explosion. I looked over to see Nat holding a grenade launcher. I turned back ready for another attack, but he was gone. Replaced by police and SHIELD agents.
“Get your hands up. On the ground.” I do as they said.

When legendary offshore powerboat racer Tony Stark rolled his Iron Man boat at the Key West World Championships and retired two weeks later, the offshore racing world upended. When he announced you as his successor, not even you could have predicted that you’d win two world championships within the next four years.
But ever since Zemo Racing burst onto the offshore scene two years ago, you’ve been frustrated in more ways than you’re willing to admit. Since Zemo’s debut, it’s been two long years of second places, narrow misses, and drowning in his sea spray. It all comes to a head at this year’s Key West World Championships.

🔥 + marvel tv shows
Wandavision was great. It was well written and well produced, the set design was pretty great, and the homage to television history was a treat! It was a little bit predictable, but that actually added to the tone of the show and to the experience (at least for me) instead of taking me out of it.
Loki was pretty good. Pretty much the same as Wandavision, quality-wise, though I do think they got a little lost in the narrative, but they regain their footing and finish well.
Most of the other shows felt like they had a promising pilot and then slowly went to shit.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (which I watched solely because I knew Sharon Carter would return) was awful, as was Secret Invasion, and honestly I'm not sure which one was worse. I think I'd still rank S.I. higher solely because SLJ and Olivia Coleman are better actors and I was less annoyed throughout the show.

Hawkeye Episode 6 Recap: MCU’s Most Pointless Series Bids Adieu
Hawkeye Episode 6 Recap: MCU’s Most Pointless Series Bids Adieu
Hawkeye episode 6 — out now on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar — put a neat albeit predictable bow on a humdrum Marvel series, the smallest of the lot we’ve gotten so far. The Tom Hiddleston-led Loki was seismic due to its multiverse angle. The Elizabeth Olsen-starrer WandaVision was innovative and brilliant at times. And The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan,…

“Do you have precognitive abilities, James?” Are the first words out of her mouth.
“Do I have—what?” He blinks are her.
“Visions, dreams, predictions,” Shuri lists quickly. “Have you ever predicted the future?”
“I—how do you know that?” Bucky manages and she just smirks.
Or
Bucky's seeing the future in his dreams. Which would be weird enough if it weren't for the fact that he's only dreaming of Sam.

The Wandavision trio (Woo, Monica, Darcy)’s love language is little gestures like bringing coffee, backing up each other’s ideas, exchanging knowing looks around people they don’t like, and general supportiveness.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier trio (Bucky, Sam, Sharon)’s love language is bickering, snark, shared violence, and one-upmanship.
