You guys are crazy...
...for still following me, lol. But here’s my occasional “I’m not dead!” post. For an extremely quick recap that skips basically all the details:
- 2020: Hated it. Financial problems, went through a hurricane, got a dog, unstable living situation, no motivation. 2/10, would not do again.
- 2021: Year of respiratory issues, poverty, bad plumbing, and no wifi in a moldy slum; wisdom tooth removal (anesthesia is CRAZY); lost an old friend; started writing a book. 0/10, shockingly worse than previous year.
- 2022: PROS - WIFI, better finances, not being poisoned by mold, book writing is mostly finished. CONS - Had a terrible time trying to manage the office and finances for a business that was slowly dying in the changing economy and it has been exhausting
The business I was working for is shutting down, and I’m currently between jobs trying to update my graphic design portfolio. I’m older and richer now, so for the first time in my life, I can kind of take my time job hunting, which means I’m HOME and IN THE ZONE sometimes!
In addition, I’m also nearing the end of the proofreading phase of the book I’ve been writing, so I can finally return to other projects I had on hold, which includes the Faunal Frontier to some extent.
Now I’m not saying I’ll be consistent (have I ever been in the last four years?), but I DO have about nine illustrations that I did back in 2020 that I never released, and I’m gonna cue them up for the next few Fridays. And maybe I’ll be able to keep up a weekly post schedule for a while? Who knooowwwws!!
