Women are so COOL and SMART and CREATIVE and to have a whole short film about these women being intwined in each others lives because women have a fundamental and inescapable understanding of each other when they let themselves,,,I could write essays on how the love from the others that Julien received helped to rescue a child self and nurture it while for Phoebe they burned everything down to walk away and for Lucy they rebuilt everything I-

Turning up and turning out for RENAISSANCE, a film by @beyonce 🪩✨
The thing about Shapiro's Glass Onion rant is that it just encapsulates everything the film wanted to say about dumb, rich, far-right people so succinctly and effortlessly, that for a second I was convinced that it was a fake Shapiro twitter that had been created to advertise the film.
But they're so layered. Like: I've noticed that at the end of Emily I'm Sorry in "The film" only Phoebe actually smiles.
Julien and Lucy's faces are neutral. And my take on that is that they're not there to judge.
They can't fully know what Phoebe's really feeling, because it's her love story and so they can't tell whether they should cheer for the courage she's found or be sad about it. So they're just neutral, respecting her way of living through the experience of letting go without judgement and helping her find the strength she has lacked. It's beautiful!
