Oh wow!! I just want to say thank you for your great work on this blog! I read for the first time last year all the books of the saga and then I found your blog and I fell in love with it! (I spent an entire month seeing all your posts) For me all you answers are canon in the story and nobody can change my mind 🤣

Now my question is for Lazuli ( I only read the first book of the twins, because the others never arrived in my country 😭 so if the answer is spoiler for me, don't worry, it's ok) how do you feel about the twins? Do you have a favourite one? Do you feel something for one of them, or both?

Ps: I love Artemis and Holly 💜 and I know that they're just friends, but let us dream about something more 💜

Lazuli: The twins are my favorite humans. I guess I get on better with Beckett than Myles, but Myles is more dependable in a pinch. Both of them are like the little brothers I never had, and I'm indebted to them for so much.

Though the trouble they get me into, I'll soon have repaid that debt.

Lazuli: I was put in a pocket sub-dimension for a bit because I was lowest on the popularity poll. No one could remember me while I was there, but I'm out now and I'm... fine? I don't remember what happened in there.

I just started rereading Artemis Fowl, and now I’m very confused about Lazuli’s genetics.

Spoilers for the end of The Fowl Twins book 3

So, Lazuli is supposed to be a hybrid of elf and pixie with a little bit of goblin, and at the end of the last book it was revealed that her mom was the fairy that Artemis gets the fairy bible from. Initially I thought this was really cool, but while rereading the first book I realized that her mom is a sprite? Does that mean that her dad is also a pixel with a bit of goblin, and Lazuli’s phenotype just doesn’t show any sprite traits?

I considered that maybe Artemis mistook the fairy for a sprite when she actually wasn’t, but that seems unlikely since she had green skin, which as far as I know is only a trait that sprites have.

So I managed to find a copy of the first Fowl Twins book on the internet archive and finished it within two days. I'm not sure if it was an earlier manuscript or something but that was easily the most flaunting Eoins done in his writing. Halfway through it I was like God damn, he's *really* flexing here. But again, I dunno if that was a "beta version" or something. But it was enjoyable, to be sure.

It reaches a level of absurdity of character traits that bordered on anime levels of wtf, which I appreciate greatly.

Seriously, a 150 year old fancy pants British noble, a fucking nun, and an extremely small troll?

And then the twins, my God the twins. Two different kinds of autistic, and yet they work so well together.

Much like the book, tbqh. My only gripe is that Lazuli felt a bit under developed in terms of her backstory. We learn alot about her being a hybrid, but not alot about her life and personality. But I'm sure we'll get more in a later book.

Also the opportunity to see Holly made me so happy.

Playing loose and fast w/ this headcanon but going off of TFT lore I'm choosing to believe that unlike Fowl Manor, Villa Eco doesn't really have staff and is mostly automated, with the Fowl parents doing what little still requires a human hand after Artemis hauls Butler off to space with him- and considering Angeline is very busy with her Psychology Career it's often Artemis Senior loading the dishwasher and sending ominous text messages to the twins to let them know that they need to bring him their laundry hampers right now or he's "not responsible for what happens next..."

Well, I’d never read the Artemis Fowl books before, and now I’ve finished all 8 in the main series. And I got really inspired:

I had fun working on this piece because I don’t normally draw detailed backgrounds or incorporate these kinds of lighting effects. It’s not nearly as detailed as I would have liked, but I think with a couple more years of practice, I’ll develop these kinds of skills 🥰

The twins are like big brothers to her so she mostly think of them as older play-pals, she'd catching bugs/playing hide&seek with Beckett or even doing something explosive in Myles's lab (an act which makes them get scolded by Artemis multiple times)

To anyone who'd like to answer, what little thing, like a minor inconvenience or an accidental misfortune, frustrates you the most?

Holly: Just missing the tube. It's so annoying when the doors shut right in your face. I get why they do but-- it tempts me to risk the traffic.

Mulch: Have you ever been eating something soft and then your whole skull shakes with an unidentified hard object between your jaws? That, but with soil.

Juliet: When any of the parents at the twins' school try to talk to me. They know I'm not their mom, and so they try to ask "friendly" prying questions. I've started telling them I'm not allowed to talk to civilians.

Myles: Yes, that approach makes us very popular.

Beckett: For real! Juliet is the most popular not-mom in the school! A lot of boys from school want to come over to meet her.

Myles: That's my annoying inconvenience.

Foaly: The lack of centaur-friendly seating-- anywhere.

Root: HR.

Butler: Mine is when boundaries I thought I'd established are breached without warning.

Artemis: Mine is passive aggression. On a completely unrelated note, because I cannot for the life of me conceive of a smooth segue: what are you wearing?
