ok i’m sorry this is gonna be long full analysis mode.

first of all when reader was reading and remus shows up i would have thrown the book in a panic. she’s better than me coming up with lies out of thin air!!

but also the story about sirius eating a moonflower sounds so cannon to me like he would eat random wildlife and not think about the consequences!!

i screamed when remus sent the note to alice like PLEASE WE ARE RIGHT HERE!!! LET ME LOVE YOU!!! LET SIRIUS LOVE YOU!!! LET US TAKE CARE OF YOU!!! like how do i show you i could treat you better??? ALEXA PLAY TREAT YOU BETTER BY SHAWN MENDES!!!

when i tell i audibly went “oh my god bro WHO INVITED YOU?!?!?” when evan, barty, and snape appeared like how can someone be so entitled??? and the way they were treating reader??? it pissed me off she couldn’t defend herself like shawty needs a gun at this point 🙄 give them a good old american welcome

but when they mentioned the bow???? omg???? I LOVE HOW MY POOKIE WENT THE EXTRA LENGTH TO. PROTECT US AND IT JUST MAKES IT SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL WHEN. SHE GAVE IT TO READER AND THW WHOLE KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR JOKE LIKE ANDENJSNSKS

leading to the shrieking shack the way barty talks just makes me mad for some reason like idk he’s just so annoying but besides that the way reader didn’t just give up and actually fought to try and get out? i love her and how smart she is like finding a iron poker and trying to open the door and then using the silencing spell to her advantage to be quiet when she was sneaking around to the room and using it as a weapon??? what a clever fox!!!

SPEAKING OF THE ROOM SHE BURST OPEN!! REMUS!!! my boy being so concerned about reader he doesn’t even question why she’s here just trying to make sure she’s ok ☹️ he’s everything! the “ Remus was completely focused on you, he wanted, no, he needed to comfort you.” destroyed me. like his need to comfort reader??? are you kidding me??? sobbing.

AND REMUS FOUND OUT READER KNOWS!!!! OMG FINALLY!!! remus just going “i wanted to tell you” like babe you don’t owe us NOTHING!!!! you don’t need to tell us anything you don’t want to???

but remus asking reader if she knew any defensive spells and reader going you mean MURDER SPELLS?!?!? hell nah i burned that shit. and remus being upset like you need to defend yourself and readers little “if it comes down to me vs you i’m picking you” THROWING MYSELF OFF THE ASTRONOMY TOWER OMG!!!!

ok but can we talk about the “Don’t be so fucking stubborn and bomb the shit out of me.” and reader using that to remember a spell??? how smart is she???? like and the way she was so quick with it too and immediately put up a protective spell over her and remus??? AND THE WAND!!! LETS TALK ABOUT THE WAND LETTING READER USE IT!!!! we all know the whole the witch/wizard doesn’t choose the wand the wand chooses the witch/wizard and how picky the wands can be AND YET REMUS’ WAND LET READER USE IT AS IF IT WERE HER OWN?!?!? I LOVED THAT DETAIL SO MUCH!!!

but back to reader and remus i gasped so loud when reader realized this was exactly like her dreams LIKE NOOOOO!!! but i loved how she used the nightmare to her advantage and used it as a guide almost? AND WHEN SHE USED THE WHOMPING WILLOW AGAINST REMUS!!! (or rather moony) I CANT SAY THIS ENOUGH SHES SO CLEVER AND SMART AND QUICK!!! (ahem ahem 🦊)

when reader ran to the woods instead of the castle my thoughts were “well maybe now she can find the moonflower!” and then it mentions her finding the moonflower and all i can think about is “PROPHET PROPHET!!! IM A PROPHET!!!!” 😭

also the bones of the fox??? and moony just appearing out of no where??? that’s literally horrific. but when she was trying to reason with remus but used moony instead and HE LISTENED!!! THAT WAS SO SMART!!! LIKE I LOVE HOW YOU MADE REMUS AND MOONY TWO DIFFERENT BEINGS!!! AND THE WAY IT SEEMED LIKE MOONY WAS ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION AND LISTENING TO READER?!?!? IT WAS SUCH A COOL MOMENT!!! AND I WANT MORE OF THEM INTERACTING!!! because now i’m wondering if the reason why people couldn’t reason with werewolf’s wasn’t because the wizard/ witch couldn’t reason with them but because they’re literally gone and it’s a whole different being that has different relationships and a different personality! which is why moony didn’t want to attack prongs, wormtail, and padfoot! BECAUSE THOSE ARE MOONYS FRIENDS!!!! like how james, peter, and sirius are remus’ friends!!!!! OMG SO MANY THOUGHTS AND I KNOW THEY DONT MAKE SENSE BUT HEAR ME OUT ITS ALMOST OVER!!!

i was so upset when sirius showed up like i wanted to see more of reader and moony see if she could actually convince him to leave her alone but i get it from sirius pov he thought there was no reasoning all he wanted to do was protect reader and the way reader wanted to protect “fang”??? she’s a sweetheart

can we bring up how fucking smart reader is again??? like she keeps on putting everything together so fast it’s scary! the way she realized the animals around her were sirius, james, and peter??? and the way she was just so proud of her friends for becoming an animagus! BUT THE WHOLE “ Finally, you smiled, recalling one last trick you had under your sleeve.” I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE IT PLAY OUT!!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT SINCE I BROUGHT UP THE THEROY IN THE EARLIER CHAPTERS!!!! AND ITS FINALLY COMING AND THE CLIFFHANGER HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD!!! I NEED MORE!!!

i try my best to, but for various reasons comments will accumulate in my inbox and i might not respond to them until even a year later. but please believe me, i do read every single one.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

i write a lot of HEs... perhaps only an echo, since the entire premise of that (unfinished) series is an AU where Wu Xie isn't there to fulfill his ten-year promise with Xiaoge. rather than angsty endings, i write more angsty stories? in which case, the angstiest might be 千里自同风 | no distance too great as a canon-compliant post-canon fic that follows Fang Duobing's journey of grief. (but i don't think the ending of that is sad, tbh.) alternatively, 飞蛾扑火 | for you, i'll gladly burn is another contender given Shen Yi's big reveal in the last chapter (but also don't think the ending is sad). 红尘似水，万事入歌 | the world becomes song is pretty sad too if only because we the readers know the characters' fates in canon.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

honestly, i think most of my fics are HEs. or if not "happy," comforting for sure. most of my fics end with a promise to be together, to spend an ordinary life together, to have the chance to be in the moment together. it might not be super, like, grand or dramatic or anything - but i genuinely think all my fics have peaceful endings. so take your pick, peruse my works～

8. Do you get hate on fics?

rarely, and the few times that i have, i've simply deleted them.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

nope. i don't know how to, LOL

yes～ @naiwong-bao and i somehow churned out the 111k monster that was 懷月夢 | on the summit, sun and snow. to this day, i have no idea how we did that, LOL

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

impossible for me to choose～ recency bias will suggest 🦊🐼 青也, 🪷🐕 花方, and 🎨🔍 城心城翊 though～

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

my 往前走莫回呀头 | go forward and don't look back series 🥹 i had two more parts planned originally after Xiuxiu's POV... one was Liu Sang, the other was Xiaoge. (there was an undetermined Bai Haotian POV fic too.) i also definitely won't be finishing the sound of snowfall (and don't want to LOL)

16. What are your writing strengths?

atmosphere and rhythm, i think. maybe because i used to write a lot of poetry? i also have faith in my world-building (bc i do a LOT of research) and dialogue. in terms of tropes, it must undoubtedly be hurt/comfort.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

i'm not good at writing fight/action scenes (probably another reason why i literally cannot write smut). i also don't think i'm super great at description, but i think i've been improving.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

this is an interesting question because i actually write all my dialogue in Chinese first and then tl it to English since i pretty exclusively write for c-media now 😆 i like that a lot bc i think it helps me to more accurately characterize these ppl - but also it sucks tremendously when English is just the ugliest-sounding language in the world, LOL. (i always think my original Chinese dialogue is prettier and has more depth～)

19. First fandom you wrote for?

the first fandom i posted fic on AO3 for was Good Omens: i love(d) you. but in my life, it was probably like... Warriors (yes, the cats) or Shugo Chara..? idk, or maybe Case Closed (still love that series despite how insufferably long it's gotten).

20. Favorite fic you've written?

only children need to choose; adults can have everything～

About the Hyakki Yako Collab✨

Hyakki Yagyō or Hyakki Yakō (“Night Parade of the Hundred Demons”) is a concept from Japanese folklore that refers to a parade composed of hundreds of types of yōkai.

🧜‍♀️ Kohaku seems to be a Ningyo or Amabie

A Ningyo (“human fish”) is a creature with both human and fish-like features. Though often translated as "mermaid", the term is technically not gender-specific and may include the "mermen".

An Amabie is a legendary Japanese mermaid or merman with a bird-beak-like mouth and three legs or tail-fins, who allegedly emerges from the sea, prophecies either an abundant harvest or an epidemic, and instructs people to make copies of its likeness to defend against illness.

👻 Suika seems to be a Zashiki-warashi

Zashiki-warashi ("parlor child") are spirit-like beings that are said to be yokai that live in parlors or storage rooms, that perform pranks, and that people who see one would be visited with good fortune.

🦁🐶 Kinro & Ginro could be Komainu

Komainu, often called lion-dogs in English, are statue pairs of lion-like creatures, which traditionally guard the entrance or gate of the shrine, or placed in front of or within the honden (inner sanctum) of Japanese Shinto shrines.

🦊 Gen looks like a Kitsune

Kitsune ("fox spirits") possess abilities that increase as they get older and wiser. They can shapeshift and some stories speak of them employing this ability for trickery, but others portray them as faithful guardians, friends, and lovers.

👹 Senku could be an Oni

Oni are creatures from Japanese folklore that share many similarities with Western demons and ogres. Their function is to punish and torment those who are evil and unjust. Thus, there are bad Oni, but there are also good ones that symbolize protection.

🐉 Ryusui seems to be either a Ryūjin or a Kirin

Ryūjin ("Dragon God") was the tutelary deity of the sea in Japanese mythology. Many versions had him with the ability to transform into a human shape, the knowledge of medicine, and the power to bring rain and thunder.

The kirin (qilin, chilin, or quilin) is a hybrid horned ungulate (lion body, fish skin, and deer horns) from Chinese mythology, which is said to appear in conjunction with the arrival of a wise man. He is often depicted as having flames all over his body.

🦦Chrome appears to be a Kamaitachi

Kamaitachi appear riding on dust devils and cut people using their sickle-like front claws, delivering sharp, painless wounds. Their name is a combination of the words “itachi” (“weasel”), and “kama” (“sickle”).

🐈 Ukyo looks like a Nekomata

The Nekomata (“forked cat”) is a cat with supernatural abilities. It imitates the actions of humans, standing on two legs and walking upright thanks to the support of its forked tail. However, they cannot transform into human.

🐦‍⬛ Hyoga seems like a Tengu

Tengu (“Heavenly Dog”) are considered a type of yōkai or Shinto kami. The Tengu were originally thought to take the forms of birds of prey and a monkey deity, and they were traditionally depicted with human, monkey, and avian characteristics.

💀 Tsukasa could be a Yūrei

Yūrei are thought to be spirits separated from a peaceful life after death due to something that happened to them in life, lack of a proper funeral ceremony, or by committing suicide; for which they wander like souls in pain.

I have no idea what to do right now, so i’m here to dump my TROVE lore.

This is finna be very laggy, so only click the cut if you’re reaaalllyy ready.

(A voxel-based RPG on many platforms. A mix of DnD and Minecraft. It’s reeaaaallly nice.)

many of the radiant trovians believe the shadows are actually evil. the shadow tower bosses are actually very chill toward other shadows but if they see a piece of radiance they pretty much have devilish intentions to destroy it.

if a trovian somehow manages to consume a Heart of Darkness, Titan or Lunar soul, even a Despoiled Divinity, they will face the shadow that lurks within them. Those with high power are more at risk, due to their shadows being able to know their moves after all the time they have spent in the realm. Lunarus (My Tomb Raiser :) ) failed after consuming 5 HoDs, and became the Eclipse Evoker.

If a shadowed Trovian manages to get ahold of a neutral Trovian’s neck, they are able to spread their shadow energy into them and turn them to either Shadow or Lunar sides. Lunarus has done this to Hanzou (NN), Antonio (BR), Kieran (RV), Shade (LL), and Colt (KG). Lunarus’ mind still hungers for more spreading of the energy, and it has eyes on the Chloromancer, Vanguardian, and Solarion.

In the High Lands, high above lays a hidden biome called the Higher Lands (yes, this is fake). Some say that there is an all-shadow amalgamation between all the classes that will chase down whatever comes to see it. The four biomes of Higher Lands are named “Devastated”, “Doomed”, “Disastrous”, and “Destroyed”.

Nocturna and Q’bthulhu have three descendants: Selene, the Daughter of the Moon, the Weeping Prophet, and of course, Lunarus.

Eyes and Tentacles of Q’bthulhu do not hurt him. Q’bthulhu merely transfers a bit of his power to the creations he has.

Most of the spawns of Q’bthulhu are squid-faced creatures, and their limbs are comprised of (mostly) tentacles.

Nocturna and Elysia have spoken many times after the events of Sunfest and Lunar Plunge. They still don’t get along.

The three “gods” over the Trovian realm are Nocturna of the moon, Elysia of the sun, and Q’bthulhu of the shadow. Their spawns are found in many areas around Trove. Ancients say that Q’bthulhu created the Geodian realm as a hidden sanctuary for himself, but wanted to cause chaos anyway.

The lesser gods are the Builder and the Shaper. They created the Prime worlds and filled it with life. The Shaper was sent to the Shores of the Everdark as he created the devilish forms of Shadows for Q’bthulhu. His body is now in forms of stars.

Okay, enough of the gods and the Trovian realm sh!t, now for the classes!

Knights are always male, and Vanguardians are always female. (Apparently, this is real)

Kieran (RV)’s head was said to be torn off by Nocturna to give him shaping.

Hanzou is Japanese, with the accent. Lunarus is Russian with a German accent. Antonio is Canadian, Shade is of another realm and naturally speaks Lancian Fox. Kieran is British without the accent. Colt is Zealandian, with a British accent. (🇯🇵, 🇷🇺🇩🇪, 🇨🇦, 🦊, 🇬🇧, 🇳🇿🇬🇧)

Dr. Darknik is sometimes called “uncle” by Lunarus. Lunarus also calls Hydrakken “Dragon boys”, Vengeful “Papa Yata”, Selene “Sister Shady”, and Weepie “Brother Blasphemy”. He calls his parents “Father Flood” and “Mother Moon”.

The Solarion, Spark, seems to get along with Lunarus. Lunarus however always gets flustered by her.

The names of my classes are as follows: Lunarus/TT, Shade/LL, Hanzou/NN, Antonio/BR, Sugar/CB, Kieran/RV, Colt/KG, Howard/PC, Draco/DL, and Mosey/GS.

I’ll add more to this as I level on, but holy sh!t this is a lot. Sorry if I cause some lag.

Help why I am I thinking about Kurama in his fox form getting a trip to the spirit world vet and needing a cone on his head he is also in a pet cage. He got attacked by a demon on a mission and he was forced to turn completely into a fox 🦊 💀

hfkshfjd omg... ive thought before about something happening that traps him in his fox form for a while, but i havent ever pictured him being brought to a vet LOL

something tells me that he would really really not like being put in a pet cage and would find the cone to be ridiculous and unnecessary fbndbf hes like god damnit just bc im in my spirit fox form doesnt mean i revert to the consciousness and intelligence of a normal fox >:// (spirit world vet i imagine would not be fully aware of that and would treat him like a regular animal if the disastrous way the rest of the place is run is anything to go off of LOL)

after the visit kurama is handed over to hiei in a cage and hieis like "what the fuck" and lets him out still inside the vet and kurama just barely keeps himself from biting the veterinarian HFKDHF hiei speaks to kurama telepathically and kuramas like "please get this fucking cone off of me or im gonna use a plant to slice it." hiei immediately does so but not without making a joke about how stupid he looks with it HFJHDJF

Ohhh I’d love to hear what your anon thinks about Taehyung’s attitude; anon said they wanna keep their thoughts to themselves for the sake of positive energy which I completely understand, but I genuinely cannot find any army (that isn’t a toxic solo just calling him names on twitter) talk openly about how they view him. I feel like many people in this fandom just describe him as a special person in his own ways but don’t elaborate much or just call him mysterious and go with it? If you would like to comment I’d really appreciate your opinion as well after reading his weverse interview. I definitely don't want this to become an opportunity to dogpile on Taehyung. As much as his personality is unpleasant to me, I wouldn't want to feel like I'm kicking someone who's already on the ground. There are lots of asks about him in my inbox right now, I might go posting them slowly and not one right after the other because it becomes too much.

I saw this on a tweet the other day and it made me laugh but I inmediately thought of BTS and the fandom lmao. The fandom treats BTS as fictional characters, so they're "misunderstood" or "nuanced". The way they talk about them it comes across as very similar to how people talk about book characters in forums and stuff.

In real life you wouldn't be like "he's saying this because this or that" and finding million excuses and defenses for extremely simple stuff that there's no need to lie about; at least for me it would go: he either lied or he didn't. In fact, it makes more sense for people to be excusing and jumping through hoops for others they know in real life because you might know more precisely about their thoughts and personality and what they've been through; we don't really know BTS like that and some of them we know even less than others, so I really don't get where the fandom finds the confidence to speak for them.

Oh shoot I thought I responded to this, sorry fox!!

Yep!! Genshin is about your character, referred to as ‘traveler’ or ‘the traveler’ (aside from the name you chose), journeying across the world/Teyvat in search of your twin brother/sister, depending on which twin you chose to play as. Traveler used to travel across worlds and universes with their sibling, so they aren’t native to this world (an alien so to speak). You’re searching out each of the 7 Archeons, the gods of this world, trying to find your brother I’m the process. And you help out each of the nations you visit along the way!

It’s not completed yet story/plot wise, we’re still getting updates and stuff. So far, we have access to 3/7 nations: Mondstat, Liyue, and Inazuma. We’re actually getting an update soon, although not a new nation yet!

Gameplay wise, it’s very similar to BoTW! The developers/whomever openly admit they drew inspiration from that game, as well as others. It’s open world, there’s cool combat mechanics, you collect and level up characters/weapons/artifacts, and you can ascend your world once you reach certain levels so the monsters are more of an even match for you!

I love that I never expected to fall for Fox!! That when I first saw him, the first probably HUNDREDS of times I saw his face I just didn’t even pay attention ahfkfl like that’s so unique when it comes to my f/o’s

Mainly the place I saw him was on the special x fiIes episode of the si.mpsons. I liked the episode a lot as a kid but not because of Fox and Dana ahdjfl I vaguely knew who they were but I was never allowed to watch x fiIes cuz I was a kid.

But in tape recordings of the si.mpsons there would always be tidbits of the show and commercials about it. I knew who MuIder is, I’ve known for all my life. But I didn’t have too much interest in getting to know him.

There was no way I could’ve ever known!! How funny he is!! How good his heart is!! How brave he is!! How cute he is and how sweet he is!! And I never would’ve known if my mom hadn’t begged me to watch the x fiIes! I’m so glad she did!! Because Fox is so precious and I’m so happy I know him!! I really know him now!

sajgfkdsl look... I wouldn’t say that Fox and I are exactly a ‘friends to lovers’ thing. I mean, in a way we are. We call each other friends but the chemistry was there from the beginning, and we’re just kinda both playing it off and thinking that if we’re gonna get together, it’ll happen; we don’t have to try.

That being said, I love the idea that the turning point from “friends” to something else is that we’re having a really serious conversation about my past, and when he’s trying to show me that he’s there for me, the only thing he can even think to do is tell me he loves me. There’s no stopping it; the words are on his tongue and if he opens his mouth they’re coming out. So he says it.
