What are the sexiest things about EP's feature to you?
I like discussing things with you, guys. It's always nice knowing different opinions on things. So, here it goes my thinking on this... I hope you can share yours too.
Tumblr media
Every time I see Elvis doing two specific things with his body my mind goes blank for a little while. I always wanted to know if you feel the same (I have a feeling you do). I never seem to find the 'right opportunity' to address this theme — I don't know why — so here it goes anyway. It's really appealing to me when Elvis inflates his nostrils after he finishes a sentence or he's about to begin a new one, and also when he clenches his jaw and there's the visible bone (or muscle) structure on his exquisite manly face jolting out his cheeks. I know its not just me that pays attention to those details about him, but it's much more common to see the fandom talking either about the long fingers in his hands or his round cute little butt or his sexy grin (those things we frequently hear about). Although i still love those assets on him very much, of course, there's many more parts of his body and the way he moves it that are just as appealing.

Specially the subtle things keep my eyes glued on him.
Like, you know... I recently realized Elvis moves in a certain way when he shrugs in a playful manner. He does the same move (a special kind of shrug to him) during a quick moment on his 'Welcome Home Elvis' episode on 'The Frank Sinatra Timex Show' in 1960, and also during his Astrodome, Houston, TX (1970) press conference. This one-sided shrug:

Isn't it the cutest and also sexiest thing? 🥹
Yes, sexy doesn't mean it has to be explicit or vulgar someway. Elvis actually was sexy in a non-vulgar way - even tho the journalists thought it otherwise in the 50s as we all know.
Tumblr media
So, what are yours favorite things about Elvis features - other than the obvious?

The Frank Sinatra-Timex Special, also known as Welcome Home Elvis is taped at 6.15pm for airing on May 12. at the Fontainebleau Hotel
Elvis performed “Stuck On You”, “Fame And Fortune”, (his new single) and with Frank Sinatra a duet of “Witchcraft” and “Love Me Tender”, as well as verses in the opening group sing.
Colonel Parker had made the deal with the show’s producers months before Elvis was released from active duty. He had hoped that appearing with Frank Sinatra would introduce Elvis as a pop singer to a wide audience made up of adults and pop enthusiasts as well as teenagers and country-western fans.
Never one to take chances, the Colonel made sure Elvis would make a big splash by packing the studio audience with 400 members from one of Elvis’ biggest fan clubs.

Remembering Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935-August 16, 1977) on his birthday
Even though Frank Sinatra didn’t like rock ‘n’ roll at first, he grew to appreciate some of it later on, and he and Elvis Presley became friends.
On May 12, 1960, when he returned from the Army, Elvis guest-starred on The Frank Sinatra Timex Show. Sinatra and Elvis sang a duet of “Love Me Tender” and “Witchcraft.” The audience was filled with members of the Elvis fanclub, so that Elvis received a most warm welcome by screaming girls. The show garnered tremendous newspaper and magazine coverage, and the ratings were headlined in the Hollywood Reporter: SINATRA-ELVIS SPEC RATES 5 YEAR HIGH. Trendex gave the show a whopping 41.5 rating against CBS's 4.2 and NBC's 21.2.
Nancy Sinatra, Jr. guested on the show too and remembered that she was in love with Elvis. Later, she appeared in one of Elvis’s movies, Speedway, and became close friends with him. She also threw Priscilla a baby shower.
Nancy Sinatra, Jr.: “I was eighteen years old and in love with Elvis; totally in love with Elvis. He melted my heart, to meet him in person. I met him when he came out of the Army, when he got off the plane. I went as part of the PR for that special. Just to welcome him home on behalf of my dad and Timex. It was a photo op more than anything else. I was scared to death.”
Nancy Sinatra, Jr.: “I think both guys, I could say this with some authority, both of them were nervous. Because, I mean, here are two great legends coming together. They were already legends in their own time. Elvis, I think, had the edge on the nerves, however. I think he was a little edgier than Dad. But it turned out to be a very, very cute moment in history. It's a great moment in time.”
On May 1, 1967, Sinatra let Elvis and Priscilla use his private jet to fly from Palm Springs to their wedding in Las Vegas and to their Honeymoon. Priscilla explained in 2022 that Sinatra had offered them his plane to escape from the paparazzi.
Holding a picture of Elvis in front of Sinatra’s plane, Priscilla said:
“This is Frank Sinatra’s plane. Frank had offered us the plane so we could keep everything low-key and keep it again private. It was very gracious of him to do this because it helped a lot. After the wedding, the paparazzi definitely was after us. We were saying goodbye to some friends in Vegas and getting ready to get on the plane. It was a nice treat for us.”
Journalist Chris Hitchens revealed that Sinatra tried to get Elvis to quit doing drugs, shortly before he died.
“Tom Jones and I met up for a drink with [Sinatra] in New York and he told us that he had just been on the phone to Elvis."
He then described Sinatra telling the pair: "When I called the hospital in Memphis, the girl on the switchboard asked, ‘Who’s calling?' and when I replied, 'Frank Sinatra’ I fully expected her to say, 'Oh, yeah, and I’m the Queen of England' or some such dumb line.
But she must have recognised my voice because, a few seconds later, Elvis came on the line. I told him he’s got to look after himself and quit fooling around. He’s too young to die, and I told him so.”
After Elvis’s death on August 16, 1977, Sinatra made a statement about Elvis, saying: “There have been many accolades uttered about Elvis’s talent and performances through the years, all of which I agree with wholeheartedly.
I shall miss him dearly as a friend. He was a warm, considerate and generous man.”

𝟐𝟒 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐬: 𝟔𝟎'
I apologize in advance for the longer than normal blurb. 1960 is one of my favorite years for Elvis and literally SO much happened that it was hard to keep it short. 😂
On March 5th, 1960, Elvis was officially discharged from the U.S. Army and made his way back home to Memphis, Tennessee. From there on he would start several projects for that year, beginning with his fourth studio album 'Elvis is Back!'. The album would include hit tracks such as 'Fever' and 'Such a Night' and would go on to reach No.2 on the Billilboard's Top LP's list. Next he would begin recording the soundtrack for his 5th film, 'G.I. Blues' between the months of April and May. While the film wasn't wildly praised by critics, the album would end up charting at No.1 for 10 weeks on the Billboard Top Pop Album chart. Also during this time, Elvis would make a very special appearance on 'The Frank Sinatra Timex Show: Welcome Home Elvis' which was a special television program featuring Elvis' first TV appearance since returning from the army. On the show he performed his new hit single, 'Stuck On You' which reached No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Finally the year rounded out with Elvis' 6th film 'Flaming Star', which would be his first serious dramatic role, something Elvis himself was very passionate in pursuing.
I'm sure I missed a million other things that happened this year, but there's honestly too much to include. Elvis truly popped off in 1960. 👏

TV Guide -  May 7 - 13, 1960
Francis Albert Sinatra (/sɪˈnɑːtrə/; December 12, 1915 – May 14, 1998)  Singer, actor and producer who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide
His first TV program, “The Frank Sinatra Show”, 1957-1958 was a disappointment to both Sinatra and the audiences.
In 1957, Sinatra formed a three-year $3 million contract with ABC to launch The Frank Sinatra Show, featuring himself and guests in 36 half hour shows. ABC agreed to allow Sinatra's Hobart Productions to keep 60% of the residuals, and bought stock in Sinatra's film production unit, Kent Productions, guaranteeing him $7 million. Though an initial critical success upon its debut on October 18, 1957, it soon attracted negative reviews from Variety and The New Republic, and The Chicago Sun-Times thought that Sinatra and frequent guest Dean Martin "performed like a pair of adult delinquents", "sharing the same cigarette and leering at girls". In return, Sinatra later made numerous appearances on The Dean Martin Show and Martin's TV specials
Sinatra's fourth and final Timex TV special, Welcome Home Elvis, was broadcast in March 1960, earning massive viewing figures. During the show, he performed a duet with Presley, who sang Sinatra's 1957 hit "Witchcraft" with the host performing the 1956 Presley classic "Love Me Tender". Sinatra had previously been highly critical of Elvis Presley and rock and roll in the 1950s, describing it as a "deplorable, a rancid smelling aphrodisiac" which "fosters almost totally negative and destructive reactions in young people."  (Wikipedia)
Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977)  Musician and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as “the King of Rock and Roll”, or simply, “the King”.
During 1956 he made his television premier on “The Stage Show” followed by appearances on “Texaco Star Theater”, “The Steve Allen Plymouth Show”, “The Jack Benny Program”, “The Ed Sullivan Show” and “The Nat King Cole Show”.
On March 24, 1958, Presley was drafted into the U.S. Army as a private at Fort Chaffee, near Fort Smith, Arkansas. His arrival was a major media event. Hundreds of people descended on Presley as he stepped from the bus; photographers then accompanied him into the fort. Presley announced that he was looking forward to his military stint, saying that he did not want to be treated any differently from anyone else: "The Army can do anything it wants with me.”   Presley returned to the United States on March 2, 1960, and was honorably discharged three days later with the rank of sergeant.
Presley returned to television on May 12 as a guest on The Frank Sinatra Timex Special—ironic for both stars, given Sinatra's not-so-distant excoriation of rock and roll. Also known as Welcome Home Elvis, the show had been taped in late March, the only time all year Presley performed in front of an audience. His agent secured an unheard-of $125,000 fee for eight minutes of singing. The broadcast drew an enormous viewership   (Wikipedia)

Frank Sinatra's hypocritical outburst at Elvis Presley slammed by The King’s family: WATCH | Music | Entertainment
Frank Sinatra’s hypocritical outburst at Elvis Presley slammed by The King’s family: WATCH | Music | Entertainment
After serving two years in the army, Elvis Presley famously sang on The Frank Sinatra Timex Show: Welcome Home Elvis. But just three years prior the crooner did not hold back in his comments on The King and rock and roll stars like him. According to Elvis biography Last Train To Memphis, Sinatra wrote in a newspaper article: “Rock and roll smells phony and false. It is sung and written for the…

Nancy Sinatra
Tumblr media
Nancy Sinatra was born on 8th June 1940, to Frank Sinatra and his first wife, Nancy. Sinatra’s father was a famous singer and entertainer, and part of the infamous “Rat Pack” which also included Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Nancy Sinatra was the oldest of three children and was only a toddler when her parents moved to a new house in New Jersey. Fans soon found out that the house belonged to Frank Sinatra, and Sinatra’s mother was paranoid about the youngster being kidnapped as the windows of the house could be reached from the footpath. Her fears were well founded, as a few years later Sinatra’s younger brother was kidnapped, and Frank Sr. had to pay a ransom of $250,000 to get his son back. Apart from that, her childhood was a happy one. As Frank’s career took off and his time was required in Hollywood, the family moved to California to accommodate. Nancy Sinatra took a keen interest in the Arts. This was evident by her learning piano for 11 years, taking dance classes for eight years, and acting classes for five years. She also did voice classes for several months. These would all stand her in good stead for the career ahead of her. Nancy Sinatra’s debut was in 1960 when she appeared on her father’s television show, The Frank Sinatra Timex Show. The episode she appeared in was a special on Elvis, to celebrate his return from service. She went out to the airport to welcome him back home. For the next few years, her music found popularity in Europe and Japan, but success in the U.S. eluded her. In 1966, armed with a new image, she had a number one hit with These Boots Are Made for Walkin’. She had finally achieved success on home soil. The song was written by Lee Hazlewood, and over the 1966-67 periods, Sinatra had several hits written by Hazlewood and recorded with him as well. She went on in the 1960s to act in several movies, including playing opposite Elvis Presley and Peter Fonda. Sinatra also did several television shows, including The Ed Sullivan Show, but her heart remained in music. In 1966-67, Nancy Sinatra toured Vietnam to perform for the troops who were away at war. Even up until the present day, Sinatra still performs in charitable works to support the Vietnam Veterans. Nancy Sinatra continued to record albums into the 1970s, but by the mid-1970s, she stepped out of the spotlight to concentrate on raising her children and being a wife. She returned in 1981 to record a country music album, which had two songs reach the country charts. In 1985, Nancy Sinatra released her first book, Frank Sinatra, My Father. Her second book, Frank Sinatra: an American Legend, was released in 1998. Her next major event was in 2002, when Nancy Sinatra performed live at The Liquids Room, as part of the Edinburgh International Festival. The event was sold out but was recorded by the BBC. Nancy Sinatra released an album in 2004 and collaborated with several artists for the album, including Sonic Youth and U2. In 2006, EMI released an album in the UK which was called The Essential Nancy Sinatra. It was a compilation of her music which spanned over 40 years, and the songs were all hand-picked by Sinatra. The album made number 73 on the charts. It was the first time in over 30 years that she made the charts in the UK. Nancy Sinatra continued to work over the next few years with several releases, including online. At present, she manages the website, sinatrafamily.com. The website was set up for fans who wish to discuss any of the Sinatra family – Frank Sr., Nancy Sr., Frank Jr., Tina or Nancy, herself Source Read the full article
