Why do you or your readers think Tim gets rumored and 'shipped' with some female co stars but not others? For example, I've seen nothing about his French Dispatch co star Lyna Khoudry, nothing about him and Kaitlyn Dever (Men, Women & Children / Beautiful Boy). On the other hand there's Maika, Lilly (rumored before the pics came out), now Taylor. They're all young and hot, they all played love interests... Any ideas?
There were some rumblings with Lyna during TFD promo. For me, it seems to correlate to how popular he continues to become and the age of sm that we are in and the amount of interaction we see between him and his costars.
Take BB promo for example- yes he and Kaitlyn had great chemistry in the film, but she didn't promote the film with him. In the beginning, it was he and Steve and finally just him, so there was no "narrative" interpretation of his chemistry with Kaitlyn for fans to over analyze in order to ship them in any meaningful way.
It isn't shipping when there is an actual relationship and it's all but confirmed that he and Maika had a short-lived rs and he and Lily were together for years all together.
Now we get his fanbase really growing and the internet communities for fandoms to breed and feed the madness online and with the explosion of him onto the scene with CMBYN- here we are. Drowning in Charmie madness, Taylor speculation. He's dating Leo. He's dating any rando he happens to stand next to or have dinner with. It will only get worse as time goes on.

Ewww-Fran McD and TC is cringe. Maybe A 7/9 year difference will be appreciated now?! Anyone ever see the movie Harold and Maude?? I'll be thinking about that movie when I see TC on the red carpet!!
Hello, Anon:
You do realize that these are fictional characters, right?
It’s funny that you should mention Harold and Maude. I saw it when I was 7 years old with my 17-year-old brother, who was supposed to be babysitting me at home, but took me to the movies with his friends instead.
And it’s now one of my favorite movies of all time.
He was the absolute coolest brother, and we were best friends, despite the decade between us. He treated me with dignity and respect, and really listened to me, like a peer, and I adored him for that.
He taught me that people of different generations can get along, can have things in common, can be genuine friends. Harold and Maude taught me those things too.
They also taught me that love is love is love.
To “Ewww” over consenting adults doing consenting adult things might mean that perhaps you’re not quite ready to handle life as a consenting adult.
Especially when we’re talking about people who don’t even exist in real life.
If it’s “cringe” because you don’t like seeing T with older people, then just don’t watch The French Dispatch, or any of the red carpet events or promos.
Problem solved.
Thanks for your comment. 😊

Have you seen the French Dispatch yet? If you haven´t just stop reading and forget this ask. If you have ... are you just as disappointed with herb´s 5 minute screen time as i am? i mean i knew it was a small part but that small? that little baby deserved more
Thank you for the ask and apologies for the v late reply anon, idk if you saw the post I made when you originally sent this but wanted to wait until after wide release before mentioning anything about his screen time. The official answers are that I finally had time to watch last weekend and wasn't surprised but BEYOND disappointed because I love him and he deserves the world :(
(Feel free to stop reading at this point because I'm about to ramble waaaay too much about love of my life Herbsaint Sazerac to the point that this is going behind a read more since there's a whole damn essay coming y'alls way right down to how charming his cute dumb socks are and yes he could leave them on 😔)
SO I'd actually heard about all his scenes / screen time right before the release so going in knowing what to expect helped but even then disappointed's a major understatement :(
Tbh considering the size of the cast and the fact that his roles in Wes movies clearly aren't ever going to be what they were I wasn't expecting more than 10-15 minutes tops but it did feel like a waste of a character with limitless potential, y'know? Not to mention Owen being so prominent in all the trailers and promo...
I guess for me the real letdown was expecting Herb's (hadn't thought of calling him that and LOVE it so thank you again anon 😂) contributions to be scattered more throughout the film rather than basically all at the start and therefore involving a little more interaction outside the newspaper office which was sort of a selfish wish just because Herb's unique, utterly beautiful, and Owen has chemistry working with everyone which is just plain fun to watch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe I just wanted more Herb scenes to look forward to but the genuine feeling overall was that the film was a fun watch but would've flowed better as a look at a typical, everyday print that happened to have those three stories simultaneously going on around town in between his travel interludes. Keep the opening as is then add in bonus intros to each new plot. Idk, say maybe before part 2 he's meandering around town talking about something lovely but mundane then swerves to avoid some protestors which segues into Revisions to a Manifesto, etc. Eventually the staff gathers and each of them think they've obviously got the lead story except Herb who's cool chilling out in his own world slightly perplexed there was so much going on around town that day or something.
Then you have throwaway lines like how he hates flowers which for whatever reason lives in my head rent free, somehow the character has soooooo much style / depth for the little content we got which makes the low screen time hurt that much more because he could easily carry a whole film. Look at that soft travel bb give him a series of specials asap and let him tour the world 🥰 Everything about him's immediately distinctive from the outfit (those socks AND the beret??? okay icon go on) to his approach around town and the fact that this is the only character Owen's played in a Wes movie that doesn't jump to please people or lean into a more social disposition which I'm choosing to look at as kind of an acknowledgement Owen's been looking for a fresh take on a lot of his recent roles (like his approach to Mobius) and that their irl creative partnership is currently in a similar form of maybe not necessarily being on the same page, kind of begrudgingly so, but there's still respect and appreciation to continue collabs however limited 🙃
(This is already the online equivalent of me talking nonstop for a year or something so giving it a rest but please know I could easily keep going 😂😂)

imo people think that if he didn't promote DLU and the French Dispatch he won't promote Bones and All since he'll be filming once again. But his role in DLU was small plus there were a bunch of A listers hoping for some awards to do the work so he wasn't needed. The promo for The French Dispatch was little so again, it's understandable why there wasn't much Timmy content. He's lead (and a producer for Bones and All i think?) so I'm expecting him to take part in the promo.
If you notice, the ones that were complaining about his lack of promo for DLU and TFD are the same ones that got bent out of shape because he didn't show up for the Met this year.
Like I said to a previous anon, he always promotes the fims he is required to promo as the lead. Those weren't "his" films and there were a lot of other actors from each that also didn't do promotion but they aren't whinging about that. No one is really worried that he won't promote because he doesn't believe in or want the film to perform badly but because if he doesn't, then they don't get to ooh and ahh over his appearance. Their concern is for their own enjoyment and has zero to do with the film at all. In fact, a lot of those same people don't even watch his films so 🤷♀️

I can’t believe we still don’t know what’s coming after Dune. I know he’s likely focused on his play right now, but he has to at least have his next movie lined up already, right? We literally have no idea what to expect in 2021...
With 4000 miles now announced I dont think its weird we dont know what's after cause that's second half of 2020 which feels pretty far away and I'm guessing autumn 2020 will be taken up a lot by Dune promo, weve got some possibilities for what's after with BOTT, and this PTA film 👀 I'm sure whatever it is is already lined up, for now weve got his play & The French Dispatch to look forward to next 🥰

"Taking A Break"
Guys, when Timmy said he's taking a break from acting I'm 95% sure he meant that he's just not filming anything anytime soon because he has The King, Little Women, Dune, and The French Dispatch all coming up with promo cycles and film festivals.
This then got turned into a clickbait headline.
Don't sweat it people, the finest actor of his generation isn't going anywhere.

Thank you!! Well, I think he shouldn’t go if there’s a chance he might feel bad for not being among the nominees. But also, imo, I think he’s too hard on himself (or maybe too confident?) if he gets that frustrated by not being nominated. There are a lot of amazing actors who never got the recognition and are still awesome, you know?
You know I don’t think he is hard or too confident. I think everyone would feel down being nominated for all major awards previously this season - bc it was Golden Globs and Baftas and if we look close mostly the same ones are nominated in the same categories (beside Oscars obviously).
And I think he is not going bc he also has some work to do right - like he has The French Dispatch to shot then Dune and quite honestly he might also use some time to rest after promo that he mainly done himself.
