Cirrus

Honestly, willing to kick ass of anyone who made zir poor partner upset.

She does not take kindly to anyone bullying her friends, let alone people ze chose to date.

I've said it once before and I'll say it again.

Cumulus, despite how sweet she is, is the fucking scariest when she's angry.

Nobody, and I mean nobody wants to get her mad. And while in most cases it's because they just don't want to do anything wrong to such a lovely person... Some of them have actually witnessed her fury and would so anything to avoid it from happening ever again.

For you, though? She's the kindest, most cuddly Ghoulette ever.

She's gonna spoil you with affection, kisses, cuddles, everything.

Cirrus and her will absolutely not leave your side until you feel better.

She doesn't let anyone bully her partner. And neither does Cirrus, since the two come together. You date one, you date both.

Sunshine

She hates it when her partner is sad.

They should be happy and enjoying their partners! Like her!

You will get lots of kisses and love bites. She’s trying to cheer you up in a…chompy way.

Gets the great idea to pick you up and carry you outside to go explore the garden. Fresh air helps her feel better, maybe it’ll help you too!

If it’s a nice enough day? She’ll grab all the other ghoulettes. You’re all dating after all…and picnics are fun!

Plus that’s more people to come up with ways to make you feel better…though Cumulus is quite amused when you get shoved in her tits.

That usually makes things better.

Aurora

If she notices that you're sad, fae will cuddle up to you with a small pout.

They don't like faer darling being sad! She has to help!

She's still used to the standards of the pits, so by default, fae brings you things she likes.

Her favorite clothes and jewelry so you can have some comfort of her being there eve when she has to leave.

You might have to stop faer from bringing you dead animals (Ghoul are... sorta like cats. In many ways.) and ask her to bring you actual food instead.

They're gonna be extra clingy to you and smother you with kisses and hugs until you feel better.

Might get Swiss to help her out with cheering you up. You're probably dating xem, too.

Mist

Mist is…not the greatest at comfort.

He’ll try! But she needs backup.

You’ll be settled in his lap, right in kissing range as he texts another partner for help.

You can talk about whatever with her as you sit there, ranting if needed or just about something that makes you feel better.

Omega shows up quickly to help, just because he’s with Terzo doesn’t mean he’s not still in the polycule of the pack,

You end up sandwiched between Omega and Mist, with the Water Ghoul sliding you snacks and a plushie of either a comfort character or your favorite animal.

Just don’t mention that she has that stuff.

Menstruation and the ghouls:

I saw someone do this recently and since I was on my period this week I figured why not?

But first LORE!-

Ghouls aren't human in my headcanon they are some sort of demon creature. So they like blood, any blood (extra points if it's human). Luckily our ghouls are relatively well behaved so there have been very few incidents. But as a precaution, Siblings that menstruate are encouraged to go on some sort of birth control and all ghouls are sterilized when summoned. However, some people can not go on birth control or theirs is finicky and the church understands this. Most of the time the ghouls are able to interact with menstruating siblings with no problem. However, keep in mind ghouls are also territorial.

Dew- (TW for possessiveness in relationships) Dew is the most affected by blood especially if it's his partner’s. Your sent wafting around is gonna drive him a bit crazy and he may be more possessive of you. (it's not that he thinks you are weak it's more that he worries about other ghouls getting ideas) If you are not down for sex during your period he may need to separate himself from you but, if you are down to pound Dew will practically be begging to taste you. Oh! and fire ghouls are walking furnaces feel free to ask if you can use him as a heating pad. (he actually takes great pride in helping his SO)

Rain- Because he's a water ghoul he is naturally empathetic seeing you in any sort of pain hurts him. He will do whatever he can to make you comfortable. When you first get together he would be quite shy about it not because it grosses him out or anything but because he wants to respect your boundaries. If you ask for anything he's quick to do whatever it is you desire (praise kink) He takes pride in making you happy and that's about as territorial as he gets.

Mountain- The minute he smells your blood his pupils become saucers and he looks like a deer in headlights, might need to step out of the room for a moment to collect himself. My big boy is very gentle he's heard what periods are like from around the clergy your gonna have to tell him it's okay to touch you and remind him your not glass especially when it comes to sexy times. Once Mountain gets between your legs he’s in heaven (hell?) either way he will spend hours worshiping your cunt coaxing orgasm after orgasm out of you. He will never admit it but it might be his favorite type of sex. Mountain checks up on you throughout the day just to see how you're doing and make sure you're taking care of yourself. Mountain has never been super possessive but you do notice there are certain people he steers you away from if you're actively bleeding.

Swiss (Lest get nasty) - (Okay my head cannons for periods and swiss are just gross so major TW for just kinda creepy grossness) He is obsessed with your period the smell the taste and spends most of it between your legs especially fixated on the blood dripping out of your pussy. ( I can't believe I'm about to write this) Swiss would absolutely suck on a tampon. If you leave a pad or tampon in your bathroom trash uncovered he will pull it out and stare at it for a good minute. If you walk in on him he will discard it then hoist you up on the sink immediately going for your cunt. (I'm not down with piss but I'll write shit like this god I'm fucked up) Obviously, once you tell him that's not okay and makes you uncomfortable with it we would absolutely stop. Just remember his demonic side is very impulsive. He is the one ghoul who you can spill all the gross shit with like if you tell him about the massive period shit you just took he'd be like “that's fucking disgusting nice!” (will I regret writing this… yes am I still gonna do it…yes)

Ather- is probably the best when it comes to periods. Definitely has your period on his calendar. If you're coming over he's got a heating pad plugged in, gotten all your favorite snacks, and made a cozy blanket nest on his bed. Offers to go out and get you stuff even if it's the middle of the night. When he's on tour he will secretly arrange for chocolates to be delivered to you as a surprise. Of course, he's down for sex like the others but your comfort and safety are the top priority for him.

Cumulus- She gets get periods suck. Keeps your preferred pads and whatnot under her sink. Expect lots of snuggles and cuddles from her. She's pretty horny for blood for the others but menstrual blood doesn't really do it for her. Maybe it's because she knows the pain it causes or because of her own experiences either way, not her fav. If you want it, of course, she will go down on you and/or fuck you she doesn't find it gross or anything. It's just not as good as biting your thigh before she eats you out and, mixing the blood with your juices while she takes her fill.

Cirrus- Plans her schedule around you so you never have to be alone. (If you want to be alone she's okay with that too.) Makes a list of your favorite period snacks when she goes out she makes sure to always bring you something. Offers to hang out at your place so you don't have to leave the comfort of your own bed, even plans ahead and brings you dinner after particularly long days.

The ghoulettes used to hand out origami flowers made from the Mummy Dust dollars!

These usually had the name of the city they were touring in that night, along with personalisation such as googly eyes, metal studs, and plastic spiders. They'd also be coloured in in red pen.

The handwriting is the same on all the photos I can find, so I don't know if it was just one ghoulette doing it, or if it was a collaborative effort to make the flowers and just one ghoulette wrote on them.

I saw a post a while ago, I forgot who made it, but the basis was "we should give Aurora angst too". And I'm completely on board with that- thoughts/drabble under the cut :]

I also gave some of these thoughts to @moldycantaloupe, but this is a much longer (sorta) fleshed out version of that ask!

Aurora was summoned alongside phantom, the band needing the two of them for the upcoming tour. Aurora came out of the summoning circle first- little to no injuries, a decent mental state, maybe just a bit frazzled. But Phantom following right after, being all banged up and anxious? That's what caught the rest of her new packs attention. The poor scrawny, anxious little bug, who's scared of their own shadow. It's their first time topside, after all.

But everyone else seems so caught up with making sure that phantom's alright, that they forget that this is Aurora's first time topside too. She doesn't know what's going on, same as Phantom! The most she's gotten was a good greeting from the Ghoulettes, mostly Sunshine. And even then, as soon as they saw the state phantom was in, they went to go check on then, same as the rest of the pack.

It's no wonder that as the days pass on tour, she feels more and more isolated from her pack. Without sunshine on the tour bus, she feels more alone than ever. There's no one to go to after a long show, no one to cuddle with. Everyone's too busy paying attention to phantom to notice her!

And yeah, maybe she is a bit jealous. Because what's so different about phantom that they get all the special attention? Why can't someone just pay attention to her the same way that they do for them?

It's only once she starts showing more outward signs of feeling neglected- like skipping out on eating with the rest of the pack- do they really begin to notice. But by then, it's already too late, isn't it? She's been upset, and clearly so! Obviously she doesn't think they're being genuine when they express concern for her!!

Though, oddly enough, it's swiss that actually convinces her that they're trying to help her. That they didn't mean to put her on the backburner like that. And honestly, I think that she's the closest with swiss because of this. For all his bravado and flirty personality, he does genuinely care for her.

She grows more comfortable with being around the pack from then on. Albeit, she mostly sticks with swiss, but she's putting in the effort. She finally connects with phantom as she should have, with the ghoullettes, everyone. And it shows in her performance too- she's more outgoing with doing stage bits, she sings just that bit louder.

It ends alright for her, but those first few months were rough.

The ghoulettes!!!!! We need more of the ghoulettes being individual characters and not all being lumped together as ‘the girls’ and pushed to the side and forgotten about. Need more ghoulettes in fanart, fanfiction, just need them to be talked about more because they’re so talented, just as talented as the ghouls but they’re hardly talked about :(

Headcanons with how the ghouls prefer to snuggles and cuddle.

Rain wraps around or is on top of whoever he's snuggling where dew prefers to be smothered while getting cuddled otherwise he's balled up around a stuffed animal.

Sunshine is a little spoon but almost always grips onto a pillow, whereas Aurora is constantly changing to see what she likes the most, so far she prefers shoving her face into someone's neck while squeezing them.

Mountain is big spoon all the way, swiss and aether are too but are pretty flexible and are more than willing to be little spoons.

Cirrus is a firm believer in squeezing someone to death while snuggling and cumulus is often the poor soul being squeezed to death.

Phantom is still new to the whole snuggling thing and so far is not a fan and seems to be pretty touch averse preferring to snuggle stuffed animals or pillows instead!

Mushy May - Day Two

"I made this for you" - Sunshine, Cumulus & Cirrus

Look at me go, posting this before midnight!

Word count: 440

Sunshine wanted to do something for the other ghoulettes, a way to thank them for everything the two had done to help her adjust to and navigate life Topside. It was weird up here and not much made sense, but they were all doing their best, which was what mattered. It was her first time being summoned and she had found such a tight-knit pack full of love. They all had their own personalities and sometimes there were arguments, but it always ended with a ghoul pile.

There was always something new to try and Sunny wanted to experience everything. She had recently spent some time working with Mountain in his greenhouse, learning about different plants and doing small things to help out. One day Aether was helping out with some of the crops and Sunshine asked them for some cooking lessons. Once she promised not to pull a Dewdrop and set fire to the kitchen, they both agreed. She’d spent some time with Swiss learning how to use his camera, together they had taken some candid photos of the pack and he had printed them out for her. Most of them were tacked to the wall near her dresser.

Swiss had given her a few of the photos he’d taken of her with the pack and one photo that she cherished beyond words. It was one of her with Cirrus and Cumulus, they were all cuddled up together limbs and tails in a tangled mess, all of them asleep on the couch during a movie night. She had gotten a small frame from a sibling and worked with Rain to paint some clouds and hearts on it. Sunny knew both the girls would melt, the mushy stuff got to them.

After spending the better part of the late afternoon cooking and making sure everything was as perfect as it could be, she’d called the other ghoulettes into the common room. Dinner was set out on the table, it wasn’t much. But it was the thought that mattered and Sunny had clearly spent a lot of time and effort planning the night.

“I made this for you!” Sunny was bouncing with excitement. She passed the frame to them and took a step back, showing off the table and the meal she’d set for them. Cumulus was the first to look up from the photo, a smile on her face and ran over to give her a hug, Cirrus not far behind. After dinner they all curled up on the couch with a movie, falling asleep on the couch in a similar tangle of limbs as they were in the photo.

I like to headcanon that the ghouls cry their elements. But sometimes their elements aren’t all liquid so.

Sodo would cry magma tears, straight lava going down his cheeks. Don’t wipe his tears. You’ll burn.

Mountain would cry tree sap. It would take so long to go down his face. Sometimes it’s so sticky it’ll just get stuck there.

Rain would cry water, like any normal person. But when he’s hysterically sobbing. Then full on ocean waves come out. That’s why he cries in a bathroom half of the time. Cause he flooded the ghoul den. He needs his own weather news casting since he causes hurricanes with his sobs.

Cirrus and Cumulus would probably have water tears?? But they were would evaporate as their crying. Think of the water cycle but happening on their faces.

Sunshine would probably literally cry sunshine. Nobody can look at her while she cries without sun glasses because it’s so bright.

Aurora would probably cry the northern lights or something. Straight green and blue murky tears.

Since Swiss is a multi ghoul I feel like he cries every kind of tear at once. Tree sap, magma, water, etc. when bro is going through a crisis and starts balling hurricanes but everything is in it. Like ocean waves or tree sap and sunshine.

Phantom would cry stardust. I just know it. Meteor showers right in his eyes when they water. Since he’s a Quintessence ghoul and that has to do with celestial bodies. I think??

Aether would cry air. Simple as that. Bro is a hair dryer. If you get anywhere near him while crying your hair is gonna be a mess. I could also see him crying black tears though
