American Christians, you may master the intricacies of the English language and you may possess the eloquence of articulate speech; but even though you speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, you are like sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. You may have the gift of scientific prediction and understand the behavior of molecules, you may break into the storehouse of nature and bring forth many new insights, you may ascend to the heights of academic achievement, so that you have all knowledge, and you may boast of your great institutions of learning and the boundless extent of your degrees; but, devoid of love, all of these mean absolutely nothing. But even more, Americans, you may give your goods to feed the poor, you may bestow great gifts to charity, and you may tower high in philanthropy, but if you have not love, your charity means nothing. You may even give your body to be burned, and die the death of a martyr, and your spilled blood may be a symbol of honor for generations yet unborn, and thousands may praise you as one of history's supreme heroes; but even so, if you have not love, your blood is spilled in vain. You must come to see that a man may be self-centered in his self-denial and self-righteous in his self-sacrifice. His generosity may feed his ego and his piety his pride. Without love, benevolence becomes egotism and martyrdom becomes spiritual pride.
—Martin Luther King Jr, Strength in Love, Paul’s Letter to American Christians pp 162-63 (1963

C.S. Lewis' Thoughts On Easter
Lewis argues that miracles are not just arbitrary acts of power meant to awe or overwhelm but are significant signs pointing towards a deeper reality and purpose. They are, in essence, glimpses of a new creation, breaking into and transforming the old order of nature. The ultimate miracle, according to Lewis, is the incarnation of Christ, God becoming man, which inaugurates the new creation.

“In Christ we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesians 1:7
Here's a piece I shared for this past Easter Sunday. I shared a traditional version of this piece in 2022. I liked it then but I wanted to do something more with the concept, so I started a digital version not long after. I really wanted to show Christ’s blood, since it is so integral to our salvation.
As I started adding the details, it made me truly understand what Christ’s sacrifice does to those who Believe: Jesus, who is God, willingly came to earth to take on human flesh to die a death we as sinners deserve. He took on every single sin, horrible thought, action, and decay to become our sacrificial Lamb. It’s astounding. When we turn away from our sins and believe Jesus is Lord, His blood covers all our sins. The Bible says, “Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:7-8). It’s just such a beautiful image. It’s even more beautiful that Christ rose again, conquering death itself! I’m so grateful for my Jesus 🤍

I’m genuinely not caring and don’t care for these worldly things anymore, and that’s when I started losing people from my life.

Nerdy Catholics: "So which one is your favorite Gospel?"
Me: "Love them all. They are equally cheesy as fuck."

The common translation by Christians in China for the concept of Logos, a Greek word and concept referred to as "The Word" in English transcriptions, as it appears in John 1:1, is Tao or Dao: "The Way".

hi, I know you’ve mentioned that you’re religious and I fully respect that, I was just wondering if you’re okay with someone of a different religion following you?
i am absolutely okay with that; in fact, my hope is that my faith may reach hearts unlike mine. it is through exposure, not comfort, that we learn and grow. did Jesus not eat with sinners? & i am just as great a sinner as the next person; i have no right to be picky. my Father commands that i love, so i do.
p.s. i’ve noticed that many of my followers have faced religious trauma in the past. however, Jesus is greater than religion. if you’re wary of church, start with the Word; read the Gospels for yourself. i promise you won’t regret it. dwelling eternally in God’s presence begins with the very simple step of coming to know & developing a personal relationship with his Son.

Did you ever think that maybe God just wants to ponder and cultivate the divine inspirations from now? To play with it, feel into it. Understand it’s varying symbolisms and goodgrace to yourself and the possible public?
Did you ever realize that you can’t solely stand to conjure up anything mediocre just for the sake of gimmick and profit? Did you ever notice you must stand firmly linked with your creations? Did you ever stand to think that there is no current demand for the greatness you so desperately want to work on and share (yet)? Did you ever think that maybe it’s just for you right now, and that’s good enough? Did you ever wonder why inventors have ideas upon ideas upon ideas, some being their entire life’s work, some having yet to come into fruition. Some just sacred and special for the inventor themselves? To commune with their holy genius?
Did you ever think that the divine insight that you are granted with also has a divine timing?
Rather on focusing on culminating your own rushed and assumed timing, perhaps you should get lost in the inspiration itself. That’s where you dance with Spirit!
It’s a fun place, a holy place, a private-place.
Some things are just between you and God.
Did you ever think that?
Instead of worrying of what more is to push out, trust what God is requesting you to master right now. Take into account whatever learned thus far, and allow yourself to be molded. This is how you become a shapeshifter. To just imagine and shift form causes for loose ends. But consistent imaginings with God…the next time you blink you won’t turn to sludge. You’ll obtain mastery no matter your forms.
