WHEN THE SLEEVE ART IS AS FIERCE & UNCOMPROMISING AS THE MUSIC HELD WITHIN.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on cover art to "The Great Southern Trendkill," the eighth studio album by American heavy metal/groove metal band PANTERA, released on May 7, 1996, jointly through Elektra Records and East West Records. The cover photograoh was taken by Zig Leszczynski.
Definitely one of the baddest-looking album covers in the last thirty years (well, almost 30), and I nearly fell under the serpent's gaze when I threw the album on earlier today. In fact, you don't even have to like the music in order to admit that it's just a really killer album cover. Stay @$!*#&% BRUTAL!

Hey all, I swear I was going batshit crazy with my post about The Great Southern Trendkill, this is the part I meant
I swear I can't record perfect shit 😭I think im playing too fast and my pinches are off AGAIN 😭
But notice how the tone doesnt actually sound like complete dogshit? yeah thats cause im using more gear adn ive properly positioned my uggboot mic stand
what would be the easiest pantera song to learn on guitar that you would recommend?
we'll grind that axe for a long time, walk, the great southern trendkill, sandblasted skin, and im broken were the first ones that i learned that i had recommended to me for easy ones :) walk and grind that axe are probably the two easiest ones out of that list and trendkill has what i consider the easiest pantera solo
I had no idea you listened to Crowbar! I saw them live a couple days ago and they were AMAZING. It was a beautiful experience and so fun. If you ever get a chance to see them play live, definitely do it!
i love crowbar! they kind of remind me of a mix of great southern trendkill-era pantera and something more sludgy like sleep. there is truly something in the water in louisiana to create such incredible metal bands. i'm glad you had a good time seeing them!
Fans of heavy metal were in for a treat on February 3, 2024, as iconic metal band Pantera took the stage for their first show of the year at the Amerant Bank…
