Never expected that a cgi raccoon would make me an emotional mess but here I am two days later and still tearing up whenever I think about it.

Spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy 3 below:
I am so grateful for how they resolved Peter and Variant Gamora’s relationship. It would have been a disservice to both Gamora’s and Peter if they had just pretended she was the same person/made them get back together.

Chris: The Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was better than the second film because of the plot, building upon the continuity from the previous films was good, great effects but none of the songs motivated me, Rocket Raccoon’s origin story was better in The Incredible Hulk comics, but this is one of the more entertaining recent comic book films because the characters are treated with care, Watch: Rent.
Richie: It was better than the second Guardians of the Galaxy movie but not as good as the first, I thought it had an excess of characters and everything else got watered down because of it, also it wasn’t as witty as the other films, the hallway fight near the end was good, Watch: Rent.

No cause this means that when Gamora heard Groot and understood him, SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY AGAIN

I just realized why Rocket gets so pissed at Drax for nearly getting them all killed for revenge in volume 1
He blames himself for not taking Floor and Teefs and just running after Lylla got shot.
"That's no excuse to get everyone else dead along the way" he says, recalling that when he took revenge for one friend it led to two more dying.

okay so GOTG Vol 3 is great all round but my new favourite canonical piece of MCU information is that rocket the raccoon, a literal genius who can build anything from anything and escape any prison he’s put in, who would get viscerally angry at people who called him a raccoon. didn’t get angry because he thought he was more than a simple animal he genuinely did not fucking know he was a goddamn raccoon.
