Peeta: "If I'm going to die I want to be me. Does that make any sense."
Katniss: (one year later in the 75th Hunger Games) "I finally get it. Peeta is Brilliant. I don't want to be a piece in their games."

I don’t know if it’s unpopular of a opinion pre say..😅 but they definitely could went a little harder with those hunger game soundtracks
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
I think there are several on the sound track that I love, but I think two or three of them only end up during the credits. I definitely agree it had potential for such a great soundtrack. I would love to see HBO or something like that do a Game of Thrones style TV series were they can be more gruesome and fit more into the nitty gritty of what was actually happening and why it was happening in more detail than the movies did. I think if it’s stretched out over several episodes I think it would have great potential to have a fantastic soundtrack!

I forever resent The Hunger Games movies for imprinting in my head the image of Katniss and Peeta as Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson

After just reading The Hunger Games for the first time ever this month, I’m watching the movies for the first time ever as well. I am going into it with low expectations.
-Katniss wears her dads hunting jacket. Costume dept: “fitted leather? fitted leather”
-Gale wouldn’t purposefully scare off a deer though? ok
-Madge doesn’t give her the pin?

Hope. It is the only thing stronger than fear.

some of you have never seen the deleted scene from the hunger games where Katniss receives food from district 11 as a thank you for trying to protect rue and getting revenge for her death, and it shows.

A 'The Hunger Games' Movie Marathon
But so far it's only been 'The Hunger Games'.
And I've really just been thinking a lot about Cato's "speech" (if you will) while he was holding Peeta in a choke-hold on the Cornucopia.
I don't remember it word for word unfortunately, but even a Career from District 2 understood that the Games were more for Capitol show than the winning Victors District would ever gain. That, and Cato mentioned something like "I'm dead anyways right? That's what you want to hear?" But he wasn't shouting it at Katniss, who was wielding a bow and arrow right at him. No, he was shouting at the Capitol, the Gamemakers, everyone involved in this horrendous showing.
A District 2 Tribute, who more than likely volunteered for his position after a lifetime of training, hated the whole thing too.
I can't remember if the book is the same way, my apologies there, but I just came to realize his obvious distaste watching it again yesterday, and I've been thinking about it ever since.
Cato deserves some recognition I think in adding the figurative spark to an already dull rebellious flame. If a rich, prosperous, trained killer from a Career District can see through the veil of the government, and is so vocal about it on national tv, most everyone else can too.
I don't know, I'm kind of rambling now, but I hope I got my point across somewhere up there.

Imagine Marvel being pissed off at Katniss for getting you away from him earlier.
He’s not thinking with his brain when he attacks her. So Marvel doesn’t realize he didn’t kill Katniss, he just knocked her out.
You stay still and let the Career Tribute finish what he started. Just as he’s about to c/u/m, you shove a finger inside him and he drops you but not before splattering your front.

reminds me of this post in here that explained the differences of the west and east's idea of revolution and how the usa especially has undermined a lot the ability of their people to unionize and fight oppressive structures through its mainstream media cuz it brainwashes them into putting the individual fight on the pedestal. the superhero's archetype.

I love how awkward Katniss is during the interview.

“What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.”
