Hey how did you do the coloring for her skintone in the gifs from Mine and I Bet You Think About Me? Really struggling to make her skintone look normal and not have a colorful filter, while still having the rest of the gifs be colorful

hi anon! first of all, i'm so sorry for taking so long to reply but ever since i've gotten your message, i could only see it in my activity page so i've been waiting to use tumblr on desktop instead of mobile (but work makes things complicated during the week)

soooo i'm not a coloring expert but i've said it sometimes that my favorite adjustment layer is the curves layer. i think that no matter the version you're using you'll have a curves layer to select and an auto button. when i found that single button, it was life-changing to me lol

so if you click that button while pressing the alt key on your keyboard, something like the image below will pop up and you can mess with it until you have a relative normal coloring

you can mess with other adjustment layers after that like brightness/contrast layers (i use them to adjust contrast-heavy videos like the speak now tour for example and sometimes to balance the blacks of an image a little), as well as level layers

for colorful gifsets, you obviously have to work with other types of adjustment layers such as selective color layers. coloring a mostly red or yellow prominent gif is particularly tricky to me because a lot of skintones will have some of those colors (like it happens with the ibytam mv), which means there's the risk you mention about making the subject's face weird and unnatural. so sometimes if it's easy enough i'll use a layer mask to define the area where i want the selective color layer to be applied on; other times messing around the magenta option instead of the red one is enough too

i'm not very good at explaining though so i don't mind sharing both the PSDs i used back on those gifs and you can see for yourself which layers i used. i'll warn you though: my psds are super confusing (meaning: i duplicate a lot of layers and mess around until i'm satisfied with what i'm looking at) but here you go: ibytam / mean

I’m the anon who came in this morning saying swiftie sleuths figured out the IBYTAM video was filmed in LA at the end of August-beginning September. To answer your response to that other anon, here is what swifties found:

First of all, there is almost never any proof with Taylor. Only evidence and common sense.

Secondly everything about filming the video in LA at the end of august fits. We know for sure it was filmed in LA. Joe got off her plane, and someone else who could have been her also got off the plane Aug 26. Deux moi got a tip that she was doing something with Miles Teller at that time. Deux moi blinds are often full of it, but now we know she actually did work with him, so the timing fits perfectly. And Deux moi has been accurate about other things relating to her filming things, though not always timing and location. For example they had Taylor filming something about a bride with Blake lively, but because some filming was going on in her building in Tribeca at the time, people assumed it was that project. But now we know IBYTAM was filmed in LA, so people were getting the two projects mixed up.

And the timing simply makes sense. It usually takes at least a couple of months to get a music video shot and edited. Not always, but usually. And especially when we know she was busy working on the ATW movie, a very big project, in NY in mid-late Sept and Oct. She wouldn’t have done both videos at the same time on opposite coasts, and we have no evidence whatsoever she was in LA later.

Kaylors (including me) were skeptical that she was even in LA when she supposedly was under that umbrella because why would she be there? But now we have a reason.

It all fits so I don’t see a reason to doubt this timeline.

Anyway, well that's the last time I tell anyone anything about animal anons plans, otherwise they will be spoiled and ruined by my friends! Oh well, it's all in good fun (and also forced me to keep my commitment of posting tonight despite being depressed that Jurgen got sent home...#gbbospoilers)!

Well as many people have predicted correctly, I passed the Bar! Hallelujah! I was sworn in as an attorney this week so I am officially an esq! I also am scheduled to received my dolly booster shot next week and earlier this month I started a new (not 80 hours a week) job! So I have had a fabulous month and have many things to be thankful for including my epic sock purchase! Which is perfect timing for the holiday ahead! So I wanna know what you are thankful for this year? I know it's been a tough year for so many so it can be as small or as large as you can think!

This year I’m really thankful for my job. I got it about this time last year, and it’s been really awesome to have a job I actually like, that doesn’t completely exhaust me mentally and physically. Even the weeks I work overtime are better than the regular weeks in my old job. I’m also super thankful for my tumblr besties. Moving to a new city for my job in the middle of a panini means I haven’t really made irl friends yet, but I don’t feel isolated because I have all of you. And, of course, I’m thankful for Taylor, which is so fucking cheesy and I’m too old for that but it’s true. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her.

It’s wild to me how Taylor can release two videos a couple days apart that are so vastly different in tone and style and I love it so much because they’re both so incredible in different ways. She’s truly the songwriter of a generation.
