Song Review: Andy Hall - “Up in Bigfoot County”
Getting lost “Up in Bigfoot Country” sounds really good.
And how could it not? The new instrumental single from Infamous Stringdusters Dobro dude Andy Hall features contributions from Sierra Hull on mandolin, Bryan Sutton on guitar, Wes Corbett on banjo and Hall’s fellow ’Duster Travis Book on bass.
“Bigfoot Country” is a brisk track, with plenty of full-throttled solos that seem to depict the speed at which one would run to get the fuck away from the titular apeman.
The track announces the June 23 arrival of Hall’s Squareneck Soul, which will feature 10 “bluegrass-pickin’ tunes played by some of the best in the biz,” Hall said in a statement.
Grade card: Andy Hall - “Up in Bigfoot County” - A

New work for guitar wizard Chris Eldridge ! You may recognize Chris from his work as a founding member of Punch Brothers , The Infamous Stringdusters, or his projects with jazz guitarist Julian Lage, but you wouldn’t be surprised to know that Critter’s guitar work in of itself is quite legendary and beloved; and perhaps such a mention is all too obvious if one takes a look at his musical resume. Anyways, love this guy - he rules. And I particularly love this photograph I made of him.

Song Review(s): The Infamous Stringdusters - “Let it Go” and “Rise Sun” (Killington Gondola Session)
The Infamous Stringdusters don’t need no stinkin’ studio.
Crammed into a gondola at Winter Fest, the quintet prove their sound is simply the product of their talent.
The resulting video will take listeners higher than any ski lift.
Accompanying themselves with acoustic guitar and handclaps, the five ’Dusters sing two of the most spiritually minded in their discography with “Let it Go” and “Rise Sun.”
The homemade recording sounds like a studio production with gospel/bluegrass voices blended like a perfectly mixed drink - intoxicating and delicious but with no hangover.
No wonder the ’Dusters chuckle in satisfaction when it’s finished.
Listeners will, too.
Grade card: The Infamous Stringdusters - “Let it Go” and “Rise Sun” (Killington Gondola Session) - A+/A

The Infamous Stringdusters Greenfield Lake Amphitheater Wilmington Apr 18-2024 poster t-shirt, hoodie, tank top, longsleeve
Of course, this isn’t the The Infamous Stringdusters Greenfield Lake Amphitheater Wilmington Apr 18-2024 poster t-shirt Besides,I will do this bride’s look — it’s Zendaya and Law Roach’s clever follow-up contrasting the “default way of dressing” during the Challenger press conference. The pair worked together to bring tennis sensation Zendaya’s character, coach Tashi Duncan, to the carpet in the form of sports-inspired outfits. Some Grand Slam tournaments have featured obvious but classy tennis references (like tonight’s), while others have been more objectifying.

For the The Infamous Stringdusters Greenfield Lake Amphitheater Wilmington Apr 18-2024 poster t-shirt Besides,I will do this official outings, Zendaya chose a series of optical white outfits that may have been inspired by Wimbledon’s all-white dress code (and the popularity of white outfits in tennis speaking shared). Looks range from minimalist suits by Calvin Klein in Rome to Sophisticated Dresses by Louis Vuitton in Paris. So far, the main exception came at the tour’s first stop, when Zendaya wore a chic green Loewe dress to the premiere in Sydney, Australia. (Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director, also designs clothes for the public.)

Have you ever been to a concert? If so, which one was your favorite?
Yes I have! So many I've stopped counting, although I am such a nerd that I did actually keep track for a while and have a spreadsheet. It's in the hundreds. There are a couple bands I have seen over 50 times each, and several more that I've seen easily dozens of times. Probably my favorite experience was a festival I went to in 2015 called The Festy Experience in Virginia. It was hosted by a band I followed at the time called The Infamous Stringdusters. Besides the music, which was some of the best I've even seen, it was the best experience because so many friends I had made through following the Dusters had come together from across the country. This was our annual gathering and such a loving, communal space. The bands were interactive with festival goers during their off-time, hanging out with us etc. Bonds were deepened, memories of a lifetime were made. I also aquired am allergy to bees after running over a hidden wasps nest during the festivals 5K race and got swarmed by the entire hive of them, over a hundred. I was covered! But that's a story for another day...
