I drew Will Millar, from The Irish Rovers. I took a screenshot, for reference, off of a video. I love the original image.

The Unicorn - The Irish Rovers - 1968
Top o' the morning and happy St. Patrick's Day. As my Uncle Jeremiah used to say, "May you be a half hour in heaven before the devil knows you're dead."
Be Safe Be Kind And Be Awesome

Writing Prompt: Music Lyrics
"I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler, I'm a long way from home
And if you don't like me, then leave me alone
I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm dry
And the moonshine don't kill me, I'll live 'til I die"

And he sold it to the Bishop in the town of Castlegar

Me name is Frankie Kavanagh; in Ireland I do dwell
It’s of a family curse I sing the truth to you I’ll tell
A Banshee does appear to us a harbinger of death
A warning that soon one of us will draw their final breath
It was a dark and stormy night no moon to light the sky
I wasn’t more than four or five when first I heard her cry
A wailing lamentation that filled me with the fright
And in the morning was told your Grandad died last night
Perhaps it’s just the wind that's whistling round the window pane
Or maybe it was thunder or the rhythm of the rain
The old ones say an omen and death won't be denied
The devil’s out of a-hunting when you hear the Banshee’s Cry
Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh
She comes to warn the family that death is creeping near
Her eyes are red from crying as she sheds her bitter tears
A woman of the fairy folk she sings in mournful tones
And if you heard her keening it would chill you to the bone
Perhaps it’s just the wind that’s whistling round the window pane
Or maybe it was thunder or the rhythm of the rain
The old ones say an omen and death won’t be denied
The devil’s out of a-hunting when you hear the Banshee’s Cry
Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh
To hear the banshee howling is to make your blood run cold
Knowing that the devil's come to claim another soul
The family are all gone now; I’m the last you see
And every night I wait in dread to hear her cry for me
Perhaps it’s just the wind that's whistling round the window pane
Or maybe it was thunder or the rhythm of the rain
The old ones say an omen and death won’t be denied
The devil’s out of a-hunting when you hear the Banshee's Cry
Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh oh-oh

I was tagged by @acrossthewavesoftime (thank you my dear :-)) to share to share a few albums close to my heart.
Songs of Christmas by The Irish Rovers
I love the Irish Rovers and their interpretation of Christmas and seasonal music never fails to get me in the right spirit. :-)
H.M.S Pinafore (1950) by the Guild Choristers
H.M.S Pinafore was Gilbert and Sullivans masterpiece if you were to ask me. It is witty, it is funny, it is emotional – all in one. I like this older version, since it is a bit faster and upbeat.
A White House Cantata by Leonard Bernstein
Bernstein was a masterful musician, and A White House Cantata shows that in my opinion. Some parts are simply hilarious while others make you really think.
Les Misérables Complete Symphonic Recording
What can I say? I love the book; I love the musical and this recording will always be close to my heart.
I am tagging @joachimnapoleon, @ouiouixmonami and @my-deer-friend.

I had to look this one up, Anon, and apparently you shave his belly with a rusty razor, put him in a longboard til he’s sober, stick him in a scupper with a hosepipe bottom and I think I don’t want to know what the hell that means, and put him in the bed with the captain’s daughter.
🎵That’s what we do with a drunken sailor early in the morning!
Way hay and up she rises early in the morning! 🎵

Have been listening to my Irish Rovers CD during my short errand runs after a week of being stuck at home sick and now my brain sounds like an apartment complex with thin walls where one room is playing Lavender Town remixes, one room is playing the theme songs to my favorite podcasts, one room is my angsty middle school music, and one room is OH YE CANNAE SHOVE YER GRANNY OFF A BUS!

Day 23:
Another Rankin-Bass pick? You bet! The other day I mentioned there's a stop-motion version of the Rankin-Bass Frosty. You see him in this special - Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July. That's right, the two team up... and with Frosty's wife and children too! It's another favorite, and also yet another wonderful performance by Paul Frees. I just love his voice. I found it in full here if you'd like to see it.
Song pick for today is a lovely tune that's been a part of Christmas for me as long as I can remember. My family is heavily Irish, so some good old-fashioned jig music is never too far away. It's one of my favorites.
Only two days left for everyone who has one of those Deco My Trees. You can add an ornament to mine here:
