Every time I think that it's a pity that I live in Italy and I never write anything set in my country (I love historical fantasy and mainly write that for my fully original works)... Every time I think that and then I try to research something historical/artistical here that's not the two villas in Pompeii, the Coliseum or the Uffizi Gallery, I spend at least one hour cursing like a sailor because everything is done with the apparent purpose of kicking people away and making finding informations difficult, and close everything like this:

#personal crap #I had to draw a fucking villa in pompeii and I spent three days pointlessly looking at italian websites with no results #I was about to ask friends living in Naples if they could please go there and take some photos for me #after they kindly sent me the leaflets and map they got the last time they went there #when I found infos and photographs on an american website #which I didn't check before because you know #I'm a mothertongue italian #I may as well look up for informations in my own language no? #no. #on the other hand I had to research old Colchis for a Medea illustration #And it took me half an hour on Georgian websites because I stopped to look at recipes and local food #Everything was well organised and easy to research with plenty of photos #Tbilisi ended up high in my list of “Places I'd like to visit”

#shallow rambles #uni isn't exactly over cause there is grad show happening and i have my work being displayed in it but some things need to be fixed first #but after thats done i won't have to worry about it until patrons come around and the actual grad show night/grad showings occur #having my uni work be displayed in this years grad show is... something i never actually thought would happen. #LET ALONE that i would have some works be up for sale. which is completely optional but as a printmaker there are some prints i can sell #to people who are interested in my work #the title of grad show is misleading because i graduate next year technically. i have two courses left but they are separated by semester #last time i checked them on the course options/info listings #anyways. since i've been gone it might take me a while to remember everyone's urls and names so uh... yeah...
