Did you know that The Legend of Vox Machina is dubbed into multiple languages besides English? These include Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, German, French, Turkish, Portuguese, Japanese, and….sort of Polish.

Do you know what this means? If The Mighty Nein's series is dubbed into the same languages….we're getting a German dub.

Shoutout to the rise of more high-quality adult-oriented* western animated shows over the last few years

*by which I mean featuring darker stories and themes, more violence and profanity (as opposed to like your Family Guy-esque shows)

All of these shows feature incredible animation and great long-form storytelling and I feel like it’s important that we get more shows like this because they help to show how GOOD animation is as a medium, and help to quell the misconception that animation is ‘just for children’

Arcane and Vox Machina are UNDOUBTEDLY some of my favourite shows I’ve watched this year, Invisible was one of my favourite series of last year, as was the final season of Castlevania (I’ll admit I have my problems with season 3 of Castlevania, but season 4 was phenomenal)

All of these shows feature simply beautiful animation, and I feel very confident in saying they wouldn’t be nearly as good if they were done in live-action. I just. I love story-based adult animation!!!

I hope we get more shows like these! Especially from book adaptations, like Mistborn or The Lies Of Locke Lamora, they would just be so good!

These characters mean the most to me personally, and I really adore them. These are the ones that I point to and go ‘they’re the coolest’ or ‘they saved me.’

I haven’t seen many people talk about the boom there has been in adult animated series the last three or so years. It’s not only that we are getting good shows, it’s that now there is more variety too! If you want to watch a slice of life comedy show, you can watch something like Close Enough, Tuca and Bertie and Smiling Friends If you prefer an action story driven show, you have series like Primal, Arcane, Final Space and Legend of Vox Machina. Adult animation has been aiming to be more than just gore and sex jokes and having something to say. There is continuity and actual development you can get invested on. Hell, some of best animated content from this year has been adult animated shows. A few of these series are still returning this year. It doesn’t seem that this new wave won’t stop for more years. Which great, please, continue with whatever you are doing.
