[Spoilers for the general concept and how these characters all meet if you’re interested, but it’s all towards the end and I tell when the lore begins]

First things first, I haven’t been posting a lot of pictures because I just got cleared three days ago from a concussion (that I got on March 23rd 🤦)

I have a some art I made during that time regarding these silly gremlins, so if you like these posts, don’t worry, there’s more to come! ^-^

I’ve been getting into the game Dead by Daylight for some time now and have been maining a single character for my killer gameplay: Ji-Woon Hak. This man is just a poor little meow meow 🥺 (they said sarcastically).

I’ll get more into the different characters here in a master post that I’ll make on my main blog where I’ll reblog these Inferno Ingroup posts. If I ever start to move my fandom art to there, I’ll pin a post saying so for a couple weeks/a month or two.

I’ve decided to give Beyond more square eyes rather than oval eyes as I want the characters faces to look different from each other (as Jeff already has tall oval eyes and Johnny has tall rectangular eyes). You can see this in the last Beyond picture and my newer works (although they won’t get posted until I’ve posted my concussion work here).

Alright, now time for some lore!

I finally know what I want to do with this story:

Beyond goes to Los Angeles to secure everything he needs for the LABB Murder Cases, including his career as an “unprivate” investigator. The year is currently 2001 and we follow Beyond through some of June in a series of scenes to establish his character.

One day, June 28th, he comes across a body that the LAPD are investigating and gets worried that the case will divert their attention to it instead of his killings. Beyond sees a man in the crowd who doesn’t have a lifespan or full last name above his head and follows him to a Taco Bell.

The man then slaughters everyone in said Taco Bell while Beyond stands outside through the window, watching in amazement. Johnny then grabs a Cherry Brainfreezy and leaves and Beyond follows him some more.

Nny talks to the Revered Meat (which Beyond can’t see so it looks like Johnny is just talking to himself) about how he wanted to stop killing people and hates how he blows up at the smallest things.

Beyond stalks Johnny to his house and rings the doorbell posing as an undercover policeman. Johnny freaks out and gets hostile which make Beyond reveal himself and his true intention gif meeting with Nny: he wants to team up with him so he can learn different ways to kill and torture someone (how sweet, I know 😌).

Beyond will only kill people whose time is up and Johnny can kill whoever he wants. Johnny agrees as long as Beyond promises not to use any guns. Beyond swears he won’t and the two agree to work together. Nny lets Beyond live at his house and later that night introduces Beyond to Squee (who Beyond refers to as Todd due to his shinigami eyes).

The two later go to a convenience store where they are unknowingly being watched themselves…

The next day goes by and that night, Johnny gets attacked by a 13 year old boy named Jeffery Woods who has a glasgow smile and no eyelids. The kid was trying to kill Johnny because he wouldn’t go to sleep (Nny is still an insomniac), but Beyond is more concerned about the carved smile of Jeff’s face. The two help Jeff (since he’s still a kid whose time isn’t up yet) and Beyond gives Jeff stitches so that his mouth won’t get infected.

Jeff asks if he could stay with the two 23 year olds because he has no place to go (because he killed his parents, which he stated were horrible) and they both understand him unlike anyone else he’s met (read: they’re all murderers). Nny and Beyond both agree to take in the kid.

Some slice of life stuff happens with the three before they get sucked into a black fog where they wake up near a campfire. It’s basically the Dead by Daylight campfire place and the Entity from the game brought them there. There are references to the game and the Entity needs to know if these three work better as survivors or killers. So, they get their killer forms: Beyond is “The Shinigami” (design pending), Johnny is “The Maniac” (his Nightmare form from the Invader Zim Halloween episode) and Jeff is called “The Killer” (and is… well… basically the same).

They take on the four main survivors, Dwight, Meg, Claudette, and Jake, in their own separate rounds before moving onto a survivor round. The Entity puts the three with a survivor named Yun-Jin Lee, who is familiar with the killer they’re going up against (and can also speak some fluent English due to it being a business language and her being a manager).

The Entity brings them to a new place for the hunt (I still need to think of what place would be best for the story since I haven’t fleshed it out yet), but Beyond spawns separately from the rest, who all spawned together. Yun-Jin explains how the rules work and how you just have to pretend you’re fixing a generator which will eventually magically work (although Yun-Jin herself actually knows what to do). Johnny asks her who they’re up against, and Yun-Jin stated that the Entity wanted her to help the new group because the killer they’re up against is the K-Pop artist she formerly managed, The Trickster (Ji-Woon Hak).

Beyond tries to look for Johnny and Jeff, but accidentally comes across Ji-Woon. Some hijinks happen, Beyond loops Ji-Woon, the two fight/flirt, Beyond gets put on a hook, Johnny nearly gets a panic attack thinking about how dirty and rusty that hook is, Jeff, Nny, and Yun-Jin complete all 5 generators to power the exists and all 4 survivors escape.

They go back at the lobby where the Entity pronounces the three newcomers “Killers” and Ji-Woon is very happy. (He and Yun-Jin are there.) However, the Shinigami King talks to the Entity in private and demands that it put Beyond and his friends back in his original dimension. The reason: the Shinigami in the Shinigami Realm are having a great time watching Beyond and company. The Entity begrudgingly agrees and gives Ji-Woon and Yun-Jin the opportunity to come along with Beyond, Johnny, and Jeff.

Yun-Jin takes it without hesitation and Ji-Woon goes just do that he can continue to be adored and talked about by everyone (and the routine of killing survivors was getting old).

They go back to the Jhonenverse (as I’m going to call it in these lore dumps) and Yun-Jin goes to the police with information about the killers. Naomi Misora, an FBI agent, is directed to help Yun-Jin and arrest the killers.

Meanwhile, Ji-Woon is upset that he’s in 2001 and not 2020 since the internet isn’t as prominent and, well, bigotry is easy to come by when you’re a pan South Korean man who dresses rather flamboyantly (but the rest of the Ingroup makes sure anyone who insults him is taken care of, after all, Johnny and Beyond have had similar words thrown their way).

So now we have the full Inferno Ingroup!

The plot afterwards is a mix of slice of life and story as after summer ends, Jeff goes to Skool where he meets Squee, Pepito, Dib, and Zim, Johnny slowly realizes he has feelings for Beyond, Beyond and Ji-Woon are in a relationship but are wondering if they’re better as friends with benefits (as Beyond also thinks he has feelings for Nny and Ji-Woon wants to travel more than Beyond does), and the supernatural forces that drive Nny to madness are still around, trying to mess with not only him, but also Beyond.

The Los Angeles BB Serial Murder Cases :3

Just remembered yesterday that the story exists and OHMYGOD i need to read it again, even though i already know the story, but its in these moments that my poor memory comes in hand cause i actually forgot some parts and besides theres something about rereading stuff y already read that i really enjoy mainly because you may notice some important parts of the plot that you may have missed or actually connect certain stuff together . It definitely pains me that the book isnt actually canon in the death note lore but it would be kind of impossible since how would Mello know all that and be able to narrate and predict the future , but anyways its a fun read ESPECIALLY if you like crime stories since this is pretty much the story of a murder case (title : P) and theres some pretty nice plot twists (not only the obvious one if you're familiar with BB but never actually read Another Note)
