Wrapping up listening to season two of The Magnus Archives.
I loved the arc that this season has went through, with Jonathan delving deeper and deeper into a paranoia that is pretty much warranted at this point. Really great stories in this batch, Fatigue hits close to home and the cyber horror of Binary is especially chilling to someone constantly online.
Michael is absolutely horrifying and I love him and his little laugh.
All set to binge season three.

shipping two characters you love equally is difficult because on one hand, you want them both to be happy, but on the other, you want one of them to be put in danger and the other one to go absolutely batshitfucking insane to get them back

Michael Distortion is utterly horrifying in TMA and then every depiction of him looks like an arcade floor threw up on a pile of twinky twigs

I literally think about oliver banks post post change alllll the fucking time. he accepted the deaths of everyone else. he accepted his own death. he accepted the world ending. he even embraced the world ending after it ended, accurately hypothesizing that the fears had doomed themselves to starving.
then the world doesn't end, and oliver is alive (presuming he doesn't get hunted down like simon fairchild.) how do you spend your adulthood accepting your ultimate demise and then suddenly you have another chance? you're given the gift of new life and it's so foreign that it feels like a loss....like oh we're really in it now
