can i request a very fluffy domestic husband gojo i don’t really have anything else in mind so please feel free for the rest 🫶🏼
Pairings: Gojo Satoru x Reader.
Tags: FLUFF
Synopsis: He's a silly babie having sillier thoughts
A/N: HUSBAND SATORU WOULD BE SO CHEESY ME THINKS. ALSO I HOPE U LIKE THIS!!!
Tumblr media
You were fast asleep, for the most part at least but you were way too tired to get out of bed and see what Satoru has been doing for the past two hours.
For the past two hours, you've been hearing the clicking and clacking of things, doors being opened and closed every short interval. You were just so thankful you've gained the ability to sleep through whatever chaos satoru causes- he can even ask you nonsensical questions and you're capable of answering him through your slumber.
You wake up an hour later and find the house to be so silent. Eerily silent. You know he's safe or at least alive by sensing his cursed energy. Thinking it's always better to get ready for the day before even thinking of facing your dear husband. Especially now, you know something is up.
"Sato-" Your eyes widen when you see him, your husband, one of the strongest sorcerers of the era on his knees, looking sorry. You expected a prank, a joke, something random but not whatever this is.
Before you could recover from your shock he gets on his one knee, grabbing your hands "I'm so sorry for always annoying you and creating troubles but please don't leave me" he pleads.
"WHAT??? Wait wait- who's leaving you? What is happening?" You question him, bewildered by his strange yet worrisome actions, nose scrunched with your head tilted.
"...you?" he feared.
"why would i leave- wait did you.... did you cheat on me?" you ponder, you know he wouldnt but the heart aches even at the thought of it.
"WHAT?! NO I WOULD NEVER. WHY DID YOU EVEN THINK OF THAT??????" he was dumbfounded and quite hurt as well.
"then why would I leave you??"
"because you told me you'll leave me"
"I NEVER SAID THAT and i love you too much for that Satoru" You confessed cupping his cheeks, eliciting a shy giggle from him.
But he returns to the main topic pretty quickly and now you're both stuck in a weird questionable situation. Finally, he decides to explain how he interrogated the sleepy you and asked you all the wrong questions. Of course you said yes when he asked "would you leave me tomorrow when you wake up for always annoying you?" leading to the current scenario.
Though you had the magical ability to sleep through things but there was a major drawback- you would say yes to everything when being questioned.
You sigh as you pull him into your arms "My love, my dear husband of three years please do not worry about my unfortunate habit of saying yes to everything in sleep and me going anywhere." you pause, taking his hand in yours before placing a gentle kiss on the wedding ring while looking at him "i fear I love you too much to even leave you after death" you chuckle.
He pulls you in his arms tightly, causing the both of you to fall on the ground as his laughter echoes through the rooms "sigh, see at you making me worry for absolutely no reason! That is very bitter to do so, my kikufuku!!" he complains contradictory to the grin on his face.
"But nonetheless, let me treat my sweet wife like she deserves to be." He announces, making the rest of your time, his.
The rest of your day goes pretty well with him having breakfast with you where he insisted you both feed each other, as according to him, it helps make the couple love each other more. Him cleaning the dishes before settling on the couch which was surrounded by your favorite flowers where you both went through the special, as he called it, the special married couple skincare routine before the both of you painted each other's nails. Ordering the food through online services as you both binged your recent favorite series, intensely discussing the plot.
It was a perfect stay-in date, the one you both desperately needed to recharge from the exhausting lifestyle you both lead.
"soooo.... tomorrow even if you say yes to your most hated food, I shouldn't make it right?" Satoru questioned, his voice laced with mischief.
"Yes thank you. I mean yeah please don't make it" you doubly clarify so you prove that you're awake, causing the both of you to laugh.

do you think that somewhere, deep deep down inside heather, shes kinda into p!noah? (apologies, i’ve just seen the alejandro connection with p!noah and i was trying to stuff alenoaheather in with it)
anyway, ur b pfp messed me up when i was looking for u through who i follow and i was kinda just chanting ophe until i found it TT-TT
I think, deep deep down inside, Heather has a lot of introspective re-evaluation to do before she can even consider admitting to herself that she likes someone. And she's iconic for that. That doesn't stop her from forming crushes on people, mind you.
As for liking p!Noah? Well, (as a Noaheather Enjoyer myself) a lot of Heather's potential romance partners, in my mind at least, stem from the connections she can/does make with them. She's slow to open herself up to people, and really prickly, so for her to have positive feelings for someone else is a novelty. (*cough*gray-aro Heather real*cough*)
If Heather was able to foster some sort of rapport between herself and p!Noah, let's say by offering him something akin to an alliance (since it's only strategic to have a wildcard like Noah's turned out to be on her side- keep your enemies close and all), and see behind the many layers of crazy and deceit? She'd probably have a sense of begrudging respect for him, at least. It takes smarts and dedication to keep up a ruse like his for so long- Heather herself couldn't keep up the "nice girl" act for more than a few episodes- and she knows that Noah's deceptively smart.
Maybe that begrudging respect could blossom into more? Who's to say.
Maybe p!Noah also respects Heather's ruthlessness and cunning, since she was able to scheme and sabotage her way into the final three on Island. She's interesting, and Noah appreciates people who are interesting.
The main drawback of liking someone as eccentric as p!Noah is, as we saw with Izzy and Owen in canon, Heather would need to be able to keep up with him.
Obviously, Noah's not nearly as hyper and fickle as Izzy is, but he's just as impulsive and detached from reality. Heather can appreciate his cleverness and craftiness all she wants- if she can't deal with his callous madness, she'd have very little luck in trying to romance him.
The B pfp was an impulsive choice on my part but I'm not sorry for it because B deserves more recognition for literally carrying his whole team for the first few episodes. I do apologise for any confusion though!

This isn’t Yet Another Twitter Is Cringe post, I want to talk about it a little bit. Being a bit more active there as of late (’active’ being very much a stretch, I only retweet fanart and cosplay, and occasionally post “I love Specter/I love Dusk/I love Platinum”) the Atmosphere Of Posting there is a bit bizarre to me, the Kinds Of Posts you see.
Mind you, I am fully aware that I have an extremely specifically curated netspace here, where the only things I see are bizarre, absurdist posts, literary references, netlore, and crass humor (aka perfection for me), and I only follow friends or people that I have interacted with to certain degree, so I’m trying to let that not color my perspective too much, but where I am going with this is that the limited amount of characters you can put in any given tweet in addition to how visibility works in there, while you could argue fosters creativity and ability to synthetize your argument into something more concise (”if I had more time, I’d write you a shorter letter”), does also have many drawbacks, the ones I wish to focus on today being that the formatting of the website is a tad bizarre to navigate, since anything that does require a lot of words to properly convey or explain, needs to be broken into several smaller posts. This post, for instance, would be 3 and a bit of a fourth tweets long so far. It’d be Very Awkward. I think it’s very awkward.
That, and the fact that Twitter puts things on your timeline from people you don’t follow, based on how much interaction these tweets have plus how relevant they are to your posting, results in the heaviest, most popular tweets and users being people that post generic ‘prompts’: Since you have a limited wordcount and relevance is based on interaction, I see that a lot of “recommended” tweets are stuff like “Tell me what your OC feels about this following scenario/how they’d react” or “Do you enjoy playing [game]? What do you think could be improved about it?” or “Prove you watched this show by quoting it [screenshot of Courage the Cowardly Dog]”.
End of the day, Big Numbers there mostly come from things where the onus is on the retweeter, rather than the creator of the tweet. That is, the content of the original post is very lean, but it lets people talk about whatever they want, in their own terms. This isn’t bad, per se, it’s just different, and not my preference.
Most recommendations I get are art, because 95% of the posts I interact with are art, but sometimes these other posts like “What character do you ship your Doctor self-insert with?” or “What would you change about the game?” come up, which I have no interest in and would rather get another piece of fanart instead.
I think that system could improve if you could hit the meatballs menu (the three dots button) and click on an option that says “I am not interested in this post” so the algorithm remembers and starts having reference for what to place there and what not to place there. Unless I’ve not seen it, the option does not exist, with the closest option being “Mute this User altogether” which is... A bit extreme for a single post I don’t hate, but would rather not bear with the style of going forward.
This is all just musing about “what if Twitter was my main platform”, which isn’t and hopefully won’t be the case, as my preference is the “you make your own timeline” dashboard system that Tumblr has adhered to (it’s best aspect to be honest! A very good aspect, at that!). I dislike posts being recommended to me from outside of my follow list at all (another thing I like Tumblr doing is that it recommends blogs; Twitter does recommend users but also posts) but if I had to necessarily deal with it, I’d like for there to be a system to directly tell the algorithm what posts I strictly don’t want to see.
In any case, due to the prompt-like nature of these posts, I think posts there are impersonal to a fault; I don’t think we should know everything about everyone, especially on the internet, but part of what makes banger posts, bangers, is that there’s a certain pizzazz to the original poster, the way they decided to convey what is likely a funny story or concept, in their own particular way. If you ask me if I’d rather be known as the Clown Ejaculation guy or the My Wife Is A Demon (affectionate) guy or, among some more recent people, the Lucina Blowjob guy, etc, or Someone That Makes Prompts, well, I’d take all of the former. I want to get to know more of the former, even, that’s where my favorite kind of blogs to follow originate from.
Different strokes for different folks, obviously, but yeah, the Atmosphere in Twitter is a lot less personal, more sterile, “plastic friendly”, even, whereas Tumblr, with all of its numerous flaws, at least has more personality, and we can tell each other to fucking die if we want to, without it being more than a 5 minute interaction that we then just move away from.

if you had to introduce someone to k project with the intention of getting them into the series, where would you tell them to start from? im honestly torn between LSW, the side:red novel or MOR
Honestly? The first season of the anime. It’s uneven but it does a good job introducing the world and the main cast, and it’s a good jumping off point to get into the other side materials based on which characters a person is most drawn to. The issue that I think comes up when you start with the side materials is they don’t all do as much to explain the larger ‘world’ of the series because it’s assumed the reader already knows about the basic Slate and Kings thing, most of that is just given a quick ‘as you well know’ nod. Season one can definitely be confusing (I think it holds up much better on second watch when you know what to look for and can see some of the more subtle stuff they’re doing) but it does at least make most of the worldbuilding stuff pretty clear. LSW I think is probably the weakest of the ones you mentioned on this point, it pretty much assumes anyone reading knows what kind of setting this is and mostly just nods at the parts that are relevant for the story, which could be troublesome for a new person going in blind.
MOR has a better sense of worldbuilding but I think still has a general ‘feeling’ of assumed knowledge, to me that one feels very much like a companion series that won’t hold up as well on its own (it also spoils the whole thing with Totsuka’s death in the final chapters, I feel like it works better reading this one after you’ve seen season one so the end scene of episode one with Colorless hits better). I also think MOR doesn’t work as well as a jumping in point because the early chapters are focused almost entirely on minor characters who barely have any lines in the series proper, I think starting with that one would give someone an incorrect idea of what/who the series is about — even DOB would technically be better here because its focus is a bit more narrowed, Awashima gets a chapter early on and Fushimi remains a consistent focus throughout and he’s at least more of a main character than the alphabet squad are. I also feel like the emotional heft of the last couple chapters doesn’t work as well if you aren’t already attached to these characters, I think it’s just stronger when there’s already a base to work from.
Side Red I think would actually be a good entry point outside of the anime though, the main drawback probably being that as a novel it might be seen as less accessible than the anime. Actually if we were going for ‘best entry point besides the anime’ my pick would probably be read Side Red and then watch the Seven Stories Side Blue. Side Red I think works really well as a prologue to the series, it brings in the worldbuilding elements and hints at future developments without outright spoiling them and gives good characterization to the Homra top three as well as Anna, Yata and Fushimi, all of whom are main characters, and it brings in things like the state of Mikoto’s Sword and the previous S4. Side Blue then makes a good prologue of the ‘other side,’ though I think the anime actually manages to do better than the novel on this one. Side Blue was written very early in the game and I think it shows, I feel like Munakata is written more manipulative and antagonistic than he is in the rest of the series and the novel has the same issue as MOR where it spends a lot of time with Hidaka and co., who then go on to not really matter all that much in the anime proper. The Seven Stories adaptation narrows that focus more around Munakata, smooths out some of the characterization issues without completely softening them, adds some flashbacks for additional world building and hints at the wider picture with the Greens at the end. If we’re not starting with the anime I would probably say start with Side Red and Blue and then go into season one, and then from there choose where to go next based on which characters caught the viewer’s eye the most.

Okay I gotta admit it, I logged in today just to check my notifications and messages because I was curious. Seems like cold turkey isn't something I can do, but I feel like I've found things to occupy the time I'm not spending on tumblr anymore, so I feel distancing myself from the site is possible. Not having the app on my phone anymore helps.
Anyway, I took a quick look on twitter today, and while I didn't see any sxf spoilers, I did see a post about a thematic week that I won't be able to take part in, not even as an audience, because it will be centered around stuff I haven't seen yet.
And damn me, I want to read further into the story so bad. It's been almost six full months since the last episode aired, and I'm finding myself wondering what is happening next based on the vague spoilers I've gotten. And there's at least three and a half more months left. I just know, I know it, that I will enjoy the story three times as much seeing it animated - and like, if I'm truly honest, my main drawback from manga reading isn't that it's not animated, or acted, or even coloured. It's that my way of reading it is not how it's intended to be read. Like, if I could have the chapters printed out for me, that would be ideal. Like:
Tumblr media
Reading the story like this? Feeling the pages in my hands, seeing the wide and two-page panels in all their glory? Terrific. Perfect. 10/10.
Tumblr media
Reading it like this? Having to scroll up and down for long panels, zoom in for small speech bubbles and out for wide panels, pixels getting distorted based on how zoomed in I am? No, thank you, immersion go bye bye. If I had a vertical monitor I probably could have worked it out, but I don't have a vertical monitor nor can I afford one right now.
And you'll tell me, well, a lot of further chapters are available in the next volumes. And I'll say, I'll probably work only for half of July, my contract ends after that, and in August I may need to move out to a different city so I won't even be able to get a steady job that won't work me to the bone. And I'm on a tight budget, so even the forty euros (being generous here, cause volume 10 isn't easily available to me yet so 10 euros for it is a generous offer) I would spend on the next four volumes are money I cannot afford right now. Plus, I know they don't reach to the current chapters so I would still have a ton of spoilers to avoid.
I don't know why I'm explaining all this lmao. I just feel like I don't want people to think I'm an anime snob. Because by god with every week I feel my resolve break. If I actually make it to October without having read one single manga chapter it will be a miracle. It's such a weird challenge I'm putting myself through, I don't even know if y'all can understand it. It's not like it's a challenge I can "win", or a challenge I can award myself for passing. Maybe a bit of venting can help, idk. It's not like I'm asking for recognition or pity or something, I am aware of how weird my choice may seem. I just had some feelings and thought, "well, fuck, what do I have my tumblr blog for".
Idk. I just feel like I love this story so much and in such a way that I also want to properly enjoy it. If I lived in Japan and spoke the language, you know I'd be running to whatever stores sell the magazine where the new chapters are posted in every two weeks and sit outside the very store and read the new chapter before even getting back home (wait, are individual chapters even printed out in Shonen Jump? I'm not sure I've understood the whole thing completely). But since that isn't happening, my choices are a) waiting for a long time and not interacting with fans, but enjoying the story animated, with colour, voice acting, soundtrack and on wide screen (and yeah yeah it's an adaptation not the original but listen it's a good adaptation and this is why it's drawn me in) and b) getting the full story and interacting with fans now but seeing the story in broken-down panels and messed up pixels, while having to fix the zoom-in and -out on every page. And I know me. I know choice a will make me immersed in the story, while choice b will just give me the details of the story. Maybe I am a snob after all, idk. I'm not making any effort to explain or apologize for myself. I'm just venting, lol. It's been weird and lonely and IT'S BEEN TOO LONG AND OCTOBER IS TOO FAR AWAY T_T
Anyway. Been doing good other than that. I will probably revert to logging out every day in order to try and keep my distance from the site, but coming back every other day or so. We'll see. I have a few messages to respond to (and a few more spoiler-free manga panels to react to! yay!) so I'll get to those today.

You are given free tickets (including plane/train/bus/whatever tickets as needed) to go see one comedian anywhere in the world. It's the only live show you can see for the rest of the year. Who do you go see?
Yesterday I finished listening to the audiobook of The Holy Vible, written by John Robins and Elis James, and the final chapter was Z for Zappa, where John Robins talked for a while about how much he loves Frank Zappa for a while. At the end of the chapter, Elis James jumped in and they had this exchange:
Elis: He was hugely prolific and varied, so I would like to pin John down to the three Zappa albums he would take with him to a desert island. John: Oh, all right, then. Roxy & Elsewhere, Waka/Jawaka, Bongo Fury, Zoot Allures, Burnt Weeny Sandwich. Läther. Elis: That's six. John: It'll be ten if you're not careful.
That made me laugh because it's exactly how I answer questions like that; I'm a big fan of loopholes and copouts (though I usually make at least a cursory effort to find a loophole to justify my copout, which is why John made me laugh by just not bothering with that), and I do not like being pinned down to anything.
Okay, what are the parametres? Do I have to have to see whatever they're touring right now, or can the magic of this hypothetical have them right a new show, or could I pick something from their back catalogue? Would I get to the pick the genre of the hypothetical new show? Do they have to be performing at all this year in real life, or does the magic of the hypothetical situation solve that too?
Obviously the first thought is Kitson, but I have heard his current show before. It's a very good show, and specifically one where I think it's more fun if you're in the room and physically experiencing it, so that would be great. But also, it's a show I've heard before (a bunch of times, if I'm honest), and it seems a shame to use a literally magic opportunity on one I've already heard. Kitson, if in this instance he's got a new show (or is just doing one of his mostly improv WIP nights, and it's one of the ones where he's really on form).
If we can magically have them write a new show, Alice Fraser comes to mind, but she's specifically said she's not doing one this year. I've seen all her previous hours, and as much as I love her stuff, I can't use this opportunity on an hour that's already been filmed, or is likely to be filmed.
Which brings me to Andy Zaltzman, who has self-promotion skills that never cease to amaze me. He's doing at least one WIP this spring that I haven't heard him mention anywhere. On yesterday's Ask Andy episode for Bugle subscribers, he got asked what football players he'd compare himself to, mentioned someone from Salford, and because that had come up, happened to mention in passing that Salford is not on the list of the places he's going on his stand-up tour in November. This tour is not listed on his website or anywhere else that I could find with a Google. A show that I haven't heard before (and is unlikely to get filmed) is going to exist this year anyway, so I wouldn't need the magic hypothetical to create it. That's a strong candidate. Main drawback is most of the material in it would probably appear on The Bugle - I desperately want to see it but could I use magic for something that could be cobbled together from podcast episodes?
And then I also wonder if I can use this to magically make John Oliver do stand-up again. This wouldn't need to push the boundaries of reality all that far, because he did a stand-up tour last year. If I could make him do more performances of that, but this time not with Seth Myers (Seth Myers is probably fine any everything, I'm just not into him), and in Kitson-sized rooms. I'd use it for that in a heartbeat.
Josie Long is starting a new show, so there's another realistic one. The main copout loophole I like to use is just doing a bunch of honourable mentions/I could do this one, so I can get away with actually giving multiple answers.
Could I make Danielle Ward come back even though she's retired from live performances? Bit of a left-field choice, but it would be a solid use of whatever magic is in the hypothetical situation, getting someone whose stuff I loved (on Do the Right Thing, but also the one stand-up hour she filmed was very good) to come out of retirement. Would feel like I really used that magic well, rather than seeing a show I've already seen.
The answer's Nish Kumar, though. I didn't actually need to write the rest of this post, because the answer's Nish Kumar (I liked the idea of ending this post on an uncaveated statement like that, but sorry, I need to add: unless I could get a new show, even just a new unstructured WIP - or a back catalogue show of my choice - out of Kitson - actually the answer might just be Kitson, I mean I've heard Nish's current show too so having heard it before doesn't disqualify people, my answer is Kitson or Kumar, you've pinned me down to two, I'm not going to one, it'll be ten if you're not careful).

I came up with a mutant quirk based on a a cockroach and was wondering what you thought about it and what would be a possible superhero name for the user
Name:Cockroach
Description:This mutant quirk gives the user the abilities of a cockroach.the user would be able to hold their breath for up to 40 minutes.the user can go up to a month without eating.the user have a set of wings that allows them to fly.the user can run up to three miles per hour.the user can regrow lost limbs.the user has an exoskeleton that allows them to withstand up to 900 times their body weight and allows them to be flatten without being harmed.the user is immune system is way stronger than a normal human allowing them to eat and drink things than humans normally can’t.the user have small holes around their body that allows them to breath.the user can climb up walls
Weaknesses:Certain acids breaks down the user exoskeleton making them more vulnerable.cold weather causes the user to slow down and will eventually kill the user.low humidity will cause the use to become stressed.the user is sensitive to light.
I think that the overall idea works fine, but I think the execution needs work. The biggest problem I see is the applications. While these are all applications a Quirk like this could have, they don't really line up with what has been shown with Quirks like this. With Animal Mutations, there is often a massive increase in any traits an animal can have, or even evolutions of those traits. Tsuyu is the best example, having all the amplified traits of a frog and their ability to blend into their surroundings becoming full-blown camouflage with Tsuyu. Then there are certain traits that I don't think would be a thing. Because people with Animal Mutations are still mostly human. I would rework or remove certain traits, such as lengthening their ability to hold their breath or removing the fact that they can breathe through other parts of their body. I may downplay some traits as well. The main benefit of this Quirk is how tanky the user is and how much they can survive. To balance it out, I would try to downplay the flight and the speed. I'd certainly make it faster than that, but it's not a major factor. The drawbacks are fine, but I would remove the acid weakness, as that is such a specific drawback that it doesn't feel worth including, and the user being at risk of dying from the cold, as very few Quirks actually have something like that.

For your show ask/list....uh...5, 15, 23?
5: kinnporsche
god, kinnporsche.........i'll be upfront, i have yet to finish it just because each episode requires both a large time and mental attention commitment, but. it's absolutely gorgeous in terms of cinematography, especially on the budget they were on, and the acting and writing are both very solid. i think it's a really good example of how a common trope (bodyguard mafia romance) can be elevated above the rest of the media it shares its roots with through attention to and love of the craft on the part of everyone involved. there's a reason kinnporsche is, like, the only thai bl, or really bl period, that i can think of that has a fanbase that's still going strong not only for the actors, but for the show, the story. there are bits about it that aren't my favourite thing ever, but i can understand how and why they fit into the plot and the genre that the show is in. also, i've heard some utterly batshit things regarding how it even came to exist (apparently the novel it was based on had a lead based on (the persona of) the actor who plays him in the show???) which is always fun.
15: zhiming youxi/the spirealm
my darling my beloved my sweet sweet love. currently at episode, uhhhhh, 48/78? i really love that each episode is so short, relatively speaking, because it means i can sit down and watch three episodes and not feel too bad about ignoring other things because i've only spent an hour (or.......a bit more, if i'm screencapping for yelling purposes) watching them. i love the acting so much—everyone feels like they're giving their roles their all, and it shows, and i love that. and the chemistry between nanqiu! chemistry is, in my opinion, absolutely key to romantic shows, and even more in censored romantic shows, where they can't supplement the subtext with, well, text. and, god, the cinematography and costuming...........i want to talk to whoever costumed the show and shake their hand profusely—each character has an aesthetic and even if it shifts over the course of the show, it still fits them. and so many characters have memorable ensembles! zhuang rujiao especially, i just adore her costuming to bits. my main complaint about this show is that i wish that the way we wound up with it hadn't cut out the intro credits, because i'm sure they were fabulous.
23: spring fever (2009)
an explicitly gay chinese film? well, yes, actually! (because it's also technically a french film.) the thing about spring fever is that it's..................hard to describe? it's very artistic and atmospheric, but not a lot happens, which i can definitely see as being a drawback for people. i've seen multiple people talk about how confusing it was for them, to which i just shrug and say "kid, sometimes you're not meant to understand art, you're just meant to experience it". i personally think that the way the film is shot is very intentional and well-thought-out, but, uh, i also think that part of that "well-thought-out"ness was to make something that evoked emotion, not necessarily rationality. cons of this film are that it's basically damn near impossible to get your hands on—probably because of the whole mess with it being made while the director was still under censure for a previous work he'd made that pissed off the SARFT (state administration of radio, film, and television), and when i watched it, my reaction was basically "wow. you know, not art i would personally make, but i'm glad someone wanted to make it and now it exists because there's someone out there it'll mean a lot to". also this film features explicit onscreen drag! which i thought was cool.

dragon for zinnia and grass for adaman! :)
Does your f/o have a kryptonite? Does your s/i know about it? What about vice versa?
Physical or character kryptonite? Physically, Fairy-types are a lot more common than Ice-types, so that's gonna be her main kryptonite (though Ice-type does have a 4x weakness against a good half of her team).
Character kryptonite, she...has a tendency to not think very far ahead or about the consequences of her actions, at least at first. Or she knows about the consequences, but only considers them in a nebulous sort of 'ends justify the means' sort of way. She doesn't really anymore, but it was one of her major drawbacks that she needed to work on.
Yes, Rachel does know about it and boy did she chew Zinnia out for that when she found out her involvement with Team Aqua and Team Magma in order to awaken Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Thankfully, after actually seeing the impact it had on Hoenn, Zinnia realized that the ends she was trying to achieve weren’t worth gambling with people’s lives.
As for Rachel, her kryptonite is that she is relentlessly kind and is always trying to help people, which is an admirable trait most of the time, but she often takes it to a destructive degree where she’s willing to risk life and limb (quite literally, sometimes) if it means helping someone. She cannot stop herself from taking responsibility for so many things that she should not be solely responsible for and it weighs heavily on her.
Everyone who knows her knows that this is a problem for her and they have to physically force her to not get involved with whatever ‘end of the world’ shit is happening just so she can take a damn break. If they have to physically strap her to a chair to get her to take a vacation, they will.
You’re going on a picnic with your f/o! What are you packing for the trip and what does the scenery look like?
I don't have a lot of writing juice for the picnic prompt for Safeship September today, so this is gonna be my entry for it.
If it's something Rachel's actively planning to do with him, she'll either make something herself to take with her or ask Beni to surprise her with something special for him (he's a great cook, after all).
Probably something a lot more hearty and filling than what she would make on the fly, like some sort of mochi or rice dish with vegetables and such. She's not a master cook, but she knows what works in a pinch being out in the field and all and she can always ask Beni for pointers.
She'll grab one of the tarps and clothes from her lodge and grab a basket to carry everything and she'll bring along her Pokémon so that they can mingle while they eat. It does her a lot of good to see them play and get some enrichment while she's just relaxing.
In terms of where, she'll pick one of three places: the Obsidian Fieldlands (the scenery is nice, it's temperate, and it's relatively calm and peaceful), the Crimson Mirelands (as much as she dislikes how muggy and humid it is there, it is his home and she does really enjoy the scenery there and it would be most comfortable for him), or the Cobalt Coastlands (they both love the sea, it's warm and it's beautiful, and the Spheals by the shore are friendly enough company).
Aside from that, they just enjoy setting aside time for each other outside of their respective duties to just hang out and enjoy each other's time as equals and companions, letting their Pokémon bond with each other and relax to get away from the stresses of their individual duties.

thinking about....... salmonlings.........
Tumblr media
two main ideas, ones that evolved naturally and ones that evolved with help from the Alternian liquid crystals after the events of story mode in 3 (maybe there was some shit on the rocket idk i just wanted to design bitches lol)
Tumblr media
im gonna reffer to them as
Salmonling - Left, evolved with help
Salmonidling - Right, evolved naturally (and if anyone can think of a better name , feel free to suggest PFFH,)
Tumblr media
the little fresh guys, salmonlings! their hair usually has that main fin down the middle, but does not continue down their back. kind of hard to describe how the fins work, maybe I'll illustrate that later if ppl like these guys
their swim form is fucking adorable (scientific term) and they're closer in appearance to a regular, non-spawning salmon. because they had the aid of the Alternian liquid crystals, they can change their ink colour, unlike their natural counterpart. their fins change colour, including from about the forearm down. they have three fingers, a thumb, index, and a large flexible chunk.
Tumblr media
tbh i love the way these guys turned out, the silly (i still might make some changes tho, not exactly 100% on these guys)
salmonidlings are much more clumsy than their Alternian counterparts, but also stronger in some ways. like inklings, they can only swim in their own ink, and to counteract the constant onslaught of enemy ink, they can jump pretty damn far in swim form. I'd say they can swim a very short distance in enemy ink, and unless they end up in their own ink on the other side, they're forced into bipedal mode with a bit of damage already done. they have weapons that spread ink as well, I've been thinking of a few (the ladle was a last minute decision, i drew the left arm before the weapon 🫠)
their middle fin is much more pronounced than Salmonlings' are, and it continues down the back. in swim form, it peeks above the ink, but you'd be really lucky to have one swim close to you, their clumsiness mainly comes into play in their bipedal form. switching from swim to biped is much slower than ink/octo/salmonlings,(so they'd tend to swap farther away) but I'd be willing to bet their weapons make them something to be feared (perhaps you could pick them up once they're defeated.....🤔)
they have two fingers, thumbs and then one chunk, like a mitten. swim form of course, looks closer to a spawning salmon.
fun fact, they don't have ears, those points are extended gills. i dont know if salmon have ears to begin with! (probably in the splatoon universe at least, otherwise omega-3 would have a hell of a hard time selling) [i imagine they have ear holes, like some birds. maybe behind the extended gills?]
---
theres still some stuff im trying to figure out, like wether or not salmonlings can enter water. i imagine if they can, and participated in turf wars or the like, in order to keep it fair they'd have a bursting pack of enemy ink for if they fell in like in some of the Octo Expansion levels. either that or those liquid crystals fucked them all up i guess
i was also thinking about a salmonling specific ability, because salmon have amazing senses of smell, if they're standing still in swim form and press R, they can see everyone through walls, like Thermal Ink. The drawback would be a subpar sub weapon, like a splat bomb but smaller or something.
part of me doesnt like this though, because then every salmonling would be forced to use a small splat bomb. maybe it could be a main ability attachment to headgear? or maybe be its own sub weapon(anyone can use it this way, which I'd been trying to find a workaround for anyways), and while you do it, you can't recharge ink. I'm digging that last one
lots of thoughts. head full. love these. tell me what u think if u want. sorry all the drawings are on sticky notes i only ever really have the willpower to draw at work rn but i do wanna make these guys digital

Jumbled Thoughts: The Accidental Power Paradox
So what do I mean by accidental power? Well, it’s actually what it sounds like. “I have great, cosmic power! Power beyond comprehension! Reality is my bitch and I can do it all before even a cup of coffee! The drawback? I can’t control it. It works when it works and it doesn’t when it doesn’t.” There is a lesser version of this that’s also “The character’s ability is luck.” Especially when it comes to bad luck and there’s a reason I highlight the bad luck more than good luck ability actually. In both cases though, the explanation is supposed to be that randomness and chance are a major factor in the outcome. That for as hard as they may try, they can never force it. Which... On paper sounds great. It’s a rough position for a character to be in to know that the next time they cast a spell, it could just not work. Or do something they don’t want it to. Or any of a million possibilities. But let’s evaluate from a story perspective how that manifests. What the possibilities for it are as written: 1. It never fails when it’s needed. The character’s bad luck makes them lose twenty bucks but when they need something to keep itself together just long enough for someone to save them, it does. The magician couldn’t fix the bar that his barbarian companion destroyed because the aetheric currents said no but when the dragon was about to roast them all, he summoned his magic and didn’t just make a shield, he actually turned the fire to his will before using it against the dragon itself! The hero who sometimes has his powers couldn’t save himself from bullies but after chanting to himself, screaming to the heavens and running there depowered anyways, he transformed just in time to save his girlfriend! And... This is how it goes every time. We never see the trauma or tragedy that would befall them if the coin hit tails when everything was at stake. This is the most common honestly for the power side of things. And, as a subsection 1. B: I’m clumsy! But not in a fight or a way that matters. It’s weird how many characters get clumsiness as a trait, especially when they’re meant to be formidable or the like. It makes them out to be a bit of a goofball, lead to some silliness and from time to time might make it so they slip in battle before then spinning on the ground and taking out three guys while they’re laughing. Because... That’s totally a downside to a character and not just a visual gag. The problem for this one is also the most obvious. It stops feeling like there’s a drawback if there are never consequences caused by the drawback. And this admittedly goes for ANYTHING. You have a stamina or mana system? Then when you say a character is out of mana or something takes a fuckton of energy, it better actually be the case. If they manage to somehow draw up enough dregs of energy to cast a ninth level spell or come back as if they just had a twelve hour nap in five minutes, then you’ve broken your own rules. You’ve exposed the lie. That the rule was only ever in place for when it was convenient. When the plot demanded it. Even worse for this archtype when it NEVER goes wrong is that you never even get the angst caused by... Well, wait for it. Oh, and this goes triple actually for the ‘bad luck’ character who never gets in real trouble. Quick story about a really bad anime: A friend of mine told me to check out Tenchi GXP with him because we’d just watched Tenchi Muyo and I’d loved it. When they told me the main character had ‘bad luck’ though, I asked if it was actually good luck and they called it bad luck. My friend said no. My friend, bless their heart, lied to me. The moment this just shattered like glass (and it was pretty bad before now too in really egregious ways) came when the main character warps into a new part of space and suddenly space pirates by the DROVES start warping on his location. Their warp drives just... randomly brought them there. How unlucky! He has no way to fight them after all. Problem was that GXP stands for Galactic Police and they were hot on his trails for his shenanigans but still on his side so suddenly all these pirates now had to deal with a fuckton of police. It’s a rout, the main character is awarded the bounties of some of the hardest to ever catch criminals the force has ever found and given a captain spot and his own starship specifically so they can track him, wait for his distress beacon to proc, and go find the pirates because this is THAT PREDICTABLE A SITUATION. That’s not bad luck. That’s good luck. 2. It ALWAYS fails when it’s important. Oh, you’re a side character! Maybe a one off where the characters meet you, your life is sad and miserable and either the main characters figure out why you can never save the ones you care about and fix your problem or just go on after a “Sucks to be you!” 3. It sometimes fails. In all situations. Congrats! This sounds like the right outcome, correct? This is what it’s supposed to do after all. Right? Right?
Well... Now it’s time to talk about the paradox side of this. Because this was inspired by a friend of mine pitching that a character’s magical powers were meant to be random and by accident and that they didn’t know how they work. As I said at the beginning of this: That’s good in theory. In practice, you’re the writer. YOU know how it works. And if your excuse for why it doesn’t work or not in a given situation is random, it’s not. It’s what is commonly referred to as “The Hand of the Author.” Because you had to make a decision. You had to decide whether or not it worked and the consequences for it. That’s the biggest problem with this sort of power. You could even try to go full D&D on this and use dice and what not to decide when it works or not and you still won’t escape it. The dice say that as a blade comes down, their shield doesn’t activate? Well, randomness just decided that character is dead. OH but what about that romance subplot you’re really invested in? Wait, what if their shield fails, their life flashes before their eyes and then suddenly their new life stops the blade just in time to save them? Isn’t that romantic? Isn’t that such a sweet way for such a harrowing moment to go well? But you also just cheated your concept. And... That’s fine. You’re the author. End of the day, you’re in control of the characters and plot. Everything you have at your disposal to tell your story should be used. The question is if your audience is going to be okay with your reasoning when it happens. Because let’s say that we’re back at that sword stroke. You roll the dice and you stick with it. The character is dead, romantic subplot be damned. You made it random and stuck to your guns on it. And then people on Twitter or Reddit or in general LOSE THEIR SHIT. What about the time he stopped a friend from being torched by a dragon? Why couldn’t that guy die instead? Come on, his powers failed that morning when he had to fix a barbarian’s bar room brawl! He earned having his powers work this time! And you notice that readers do drop off after this. Maybe not a lot... But some have discerned the lie. Or shown that, honestly, the lie was never a strength of your story because if your only explanation is cosmic fate... You control that cosmos. And some people are going to realize and have an issue with that when something theoretically is 100% in your control hurts them. Now, you might reasonably ask why it matters if this is in the author’s control if they’re god in a story. Isn’t everything their decision? A character makes a mistake and you’re the one who told them to make a mistake, right? Well... 4. The power was never accidental at all. This is an option. The character themselves may think it’s random but it wasn’t. Let’s take that wizard. He was annoyed at his barbarian friend and didn’t want to help him. When he cast the spell, instead of just failing, it shattered the tables! It made the damage worse and he didn’t rightfully no why. The barbarian and the innkeep both scream at him, claiming it was on purpose, and so he goes out for a stroll. He’s sad, questioning his abilities and wishing he had answers for them. When a pack of assassins come for him, he tries to ward them off with magic but his heart isn’t in it. The one he loves recently had a fight with him and things have just been terrible in general. A small part of him honestly just wishes things would stop being so bad. And that small part wins out when the blade comes down, unlike against the dragon when his friends cheered him on! Told him how great he was and how he had to simply believe himself! They all that day were scared but they believed they’d make it out somehow! Someway. The only one of them that wasn’t scared was the mage. He believed his friends after all so why did he have anything to fear? All he had to focus on was how the dragon would be felled. Preferably by his hands. A savvy audience could put together the rules that the wizard never did. That even if they didn’t understand it, both the author and the audience did. It had rules. It had reasoning. It just could feel random because those rules might influence the outcome. Emotions can do a lot after all so having a spell be more powerful or more destructive than hoped for when influenced by them? Actually pretty good and a fun bit of flair rather than simply authorial intent. And that’s how you avoid the ‘god’ claim. When a character makes a mistake, if it’s rooted in the character’s flaws and the like, then you as the author can mostly only be blamed for putting the character in that situation and giving them the flaw. What they did in that moment simply made sense for them though. That’s how you get things like Greek Tragedies. When everyone is acting as they should according to their character and everything goes wrong. Because hey, this thing you have to make in a way that can be understood by people having logic to it weirdly benefits from having logic to it instead of just trying to mimic reality. And is there an upside for people who’s ability is luck? Well, weirdly enough: 4 b: Their power is based in good luck. This isn’t even a joke. Anyone who read the Halo Book “The Fall of Reach” might even be humming to themselves with a smile. After all, Master Chief in the books was not the best Spartan because he was the strongest, smartest or fastest. Cortana states that what makes him special is that he’s lucky. And most main characters are. They run into the right people, have patrols on the right cycle, have the right rainy days that put them under a bus stop with the girl they like, etc. like that. Suddenly, you’re giving an in universe reason for all those coincidences. Does that mean you should have them find a billion dollars or win every lottery they enter? No. That’s asinine unless that’s the point of the story. It’s also why you very rarely have characters who stick around long term with luck anything. It’s a bad mechanic in a story. Plain and simply. Conclusion: “There is no such thing as coincidence.” In life, I don’t agree with that. A Twitter algorithm happened to show you a piece from an artist you end up being friends with because you liked it so much that you start following them? That’s coincidence. You find twenty bucks on the street? Awesome. You forget the soda you put at the bottom of your shopping cart? Sucks. But it’s not some cosmic deity deciding today is a good or bad day for you. That is not the case in a story. No matter what an author says, or the characters in universe say, there is a deity deciding everything for them. It may be good and listen to them as characters but it still makes the final decision. And before anyone tries to be a dick: Coincidence in a story has its place. If a character was ‘just in the neighborhood’ but vital to continuing the plot, that’s okay. Sometimes momentum and emotion can be better than pure logic. In fact, commonly, a little bit of bending is best. But don’t try to tell me something will be easy to drink from when it’s a two foot long crazy straw. The moment it becomes annoying to drink with, I’ll start asking why it isn’t straight because at that point, the curves won’t be worth the trouble anymore.

Positive psychology and does it really affect your life
Yesterday at school, our English teacher showed us a Ted Talk, about positive psychology and how modern psychologists are dealing not just with problems of miserable people, but also with the task to make everyone happier with the help of technology.
To be honest, the Talk was extremely boring. It lasts 30 minutes and even though, the speaker - Martin Seligman, who is a famous American psychologist, looking like Tom Hanks in his worst days, tried to do his best, the speech had no energy, that would keep the audience alive till the end of it. Then, our class was given a task to write a blog, reflecting the Talk we just heard, which is what I am doing now.
My own Blog is a painful topic for me... I had many thoughts and plans about starting a YouTube channel, but they never went further than just an idea. Too Many hesitations and drawbacks immediately appeared in my head. I was insecure and thus chose to stay on one place doing nothin, because it always feels safe. Which incredibly comfortable connected with the topic of the Martin Seligman's speech, don't you think? Negative thoughts and emotions were my mental barrier that destroyed every idea of self development and growth.
Referring to Martin's words, there are three categories of a 'Happy Life' which is a goal of many people, including me:
Pleasant life - the main idea is to receive as much pleasure as possible.
Good life - unlike the pleasant life, your goal is not an instant pleasure, but the flow. A long process of working on one project or idea to reach a desirable result. It is normal to feel no pleasure during the flow.
Meaningful life - the idea is to feel good from knowing, that you did something helpful and important today. Thus you can evidently suggest your happiness and worth, clearly seeing that your life has sense.
Good and Meaningful life is my goal to achieve. I have nothing against pleasure in my life, but the feeling of pleasure is a chemical reaction, which has interesting characteristics. The more you feel pleasure, the harder it is for you to feel it again and even if you feel a great pleasure, it will quickly disappear. Needless to be mentioned that drugs have the same characteristics. I want to find my flow and follow it, because I am that kind of a person, who is able to do nothing for the whole day and then feel completely miserable about it for the next two. My dream is to find a passion that I will adore and work on it every day and to certainly know that every day I live isn't ridiculously wasted.
From the last paragraph you can think that I am a very mindful person, which is simply not true. I am just a lazy adolescent, who can easily spend 2 hours in a row, scrolling fucking Instagram, but sometimes, the voice of reason in my head asks me: 'Man, what's the purpose of your stupid existence?' and I have no clue to this question. That's why I want to split it to many easier questions: 'What's the purpose of your day?'. Which I will answer easily.
Thank You for reading!

Hisuian Zoroark
Tumblr media
I love this design for Zoroark. They took the edgy fox and made it extra as fuck. It also has a very unique typing. This is less a messing around with its balance as this Pokemon isn’t available in any competitive format, rather this is how I would compliment this Pokemon as a counterpart to my Zoroark Rework. I see this Zoroark as being a less controlled beast waiting to be unleashed or as a silent stalker compared to regular Zoroark’s more fun trickster attitude. So I want Hisuian Zoroark to be designed around slipping in and hitting hard.
Import
First thing I want to bring up when importing this Pokemon to the main games is the problem of its signature move. The issue is that it has a 30% chance of inflicting Frostbite, which has freeze as its counterpart. A Pokemon with that high of a chance of freezing an opponent would be broken, but incorporating Frostbite into the main series games would also be a bag of worms. Not because the status effect is inherently broken, but because it would be introducing a special burn-like effect to the game, which fundamentally alters the benefits/drawbacks to a physical vs special attacker. The way I’d probably implement it without causing systemic overhauls to the way the game is structured is to increase the base power to 65, make it always drop the target’s Atk and SpA by 1, and double that if they have a status condition. This would move would be great for shutting down one Pokemon in specific around mid to late game.
Stats
While I gave regular Zoroark extra bulk to allow it to stay in, I’d want to give Hisuian Zoroark extra ATK and SpA while being rather frail. In this case, I’d give it 55 DEF and SpD while raising its ATK to 135 and SpA to 130. It would retain its 110 SPD. The idea here is to make it so that H-Zoruark wants to either use its three immunities to predict a switch or it wants to set up a scenario where it can use its illusion to hide the incoming nuke. The stats here are meant to trade Zoroark’s versatility for raw power.
Moves
I think Hisuian Zoroark should have extremely powerful STAB attacks as well as powerful coverage moves. Consider that it already would have access to moves like Hyper Voice and Facade, which are more powerful than Base Zoroark’s Dark Pulse and Throat Chop. So, like last time, here’s a list of moves I’d add to Hisuian Zoroark’s movepool. A more thorough explanation for some decisions can be found in the Zoroark post.
Double Edge and Poltergeist
Meant to give Zoroark strong STAB options
Since Ghost and Normal are both strong neutral coverage options, I’d distinguish physical and special Zoroark sets by the SpA sets having wider coverage while physical has better neutral attacks. Especially since there isn’t much in the way of normal or ghost special attacks with a higher base power than 90.
Punishment
This is a more aggressive punishment for the target having stat boosts than I gave regular Zoroark, but I still want Hisuian Zoroark to be able to act as an offensive disrupter.
Triple Axel
Considering that Hisuian Zoroark already has a chilly theming, I think giving it a strong ice type physical attack wouldn’t be unreasonable.
Triple Axel would be extremely valuable for physical sets due to ice moves being very good for coverage. Especially since most of the physical attacking moves I’m choosing to give it aren’t from types known for being super effective against a lot of common typings. So Triple Axel is a big maybe. It really depends on how valuable it is compared to the rest of the physical kit.
Fake Out
A useful normal move, especially in double battles. And it’s STAB this time.
Psycho Cut
I just think this one fits thematically. It also gives Hisuian Zoroark a way to clap back against Fighting types, which gives it a reason to make the switch in.
Darkest Lariat, False Surrender, or Crunch
These are all similar power dark type physical attacks and its weird that Zoroark doesn’t have them, especially Crunch.
Outrage
Dragon is another good neutral move. It would also compliment the idea of Zoroark offensively struggling against fairy types. This is also why I don’t want to give it physical poison or steel moves. Tho I don’t know how much that matters since Zoroark already has a poison special move and I think giving it Flash Canon wouldn’t be unreasonable.
Close Combat
The reason I didn’t want Close Combat on regular Zoroark was that I felt the move would be too offensive for the Pokemon I wanted to design. But it works for this version of Hisuian Zoroark because I want it to be offensively threatening while being defensively frail.
Explosion
It would be funny. Also a good dick move for the opposing Slowbro to just outspeed and explode on you.
It’s a good offensive tool and a good way for Zoroark to reset momentum if that gets out of its favor.
Thunder, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, and Blizzard
These are all strong coverage moves for SpA Zoroark that exchange power for accuracy. The main issues with these moves on Zoroark are that if they miss the KO they’re likely to reveal Zoroark either due to the opponent figuring the moveset is wrong or the opponent’s Pokemon getting in an attack.
It would be pretty funny tho.
Moonblast
Moonblast seems thematically appropriate. It also gives SpA Zoroark the ability to threaten Dragon and Dark Types.
Glare
For spreading paralysis. It’s a funny ability and good for a utility focused Zoroark.
Defog
Same reasoning as regular Zoroark.
Destiny Bond
Same reasoning as regular Zoroark, but I feel like Hisuian Zoroark would be enough of a dick to pull that stunt.
Bounce
Idk I just think it’s funny. :)
Air Slash
More coverage moves for SpA Zoroark
Force Palm
Shadow Sneak
I want to give it a weak priority move. It’s already a fast Pokemon that relies on the idea of “kill before being found out” or “get in a favorable position before being discovered” so I don’t think giving it a ton of priority moves is a great idea, but I do like Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch on it.
Sneaky Bitch gotta smack you.
Spirit Shackle
While I gave regular Zoroark mean look as its trapping move, I really like Spirit Shackle as a potential move for Hisuian Zoroark.
This move is balanced out by Hisuian Zoroark being very squishy and Spirit Shackle not affecting normal types.
This move has the potential of being oppressive against fighting types that like to run choice items such as Galarian Zapdos. I’m sure the meta can evolve around this development tho.
It’s also important to note that this move + toxic could be quite powerful since Zoroark’s ghost typing makes it immune to Facade, and it can trap you with a damage over time move. Considering the pokemon’s frailty, this won’t let it become an unmanageable tank, but it’s still worth noting.
Ominous Wind and Hex
Admittedly Hex is more useful, but it deserves some ghost type special STAB moves.
Giving it conditional moves like Hex is interesting since those moves are balanced by them being both conditional and telegraphed, while Zoroark fucks with the telegraph. So there should probably be some testing before actually giving it Hex. It’s probably fine tho.
Flash Canon
Another way to hit fairy types on a special set. Since Sludge Bomb and Flash Canon aren’t particularly high base powers, it’s not like a physical Zoroark set can just slap them on to destroy fairy types. But their existences alone might be a problem.
I mostly want to replace Sludge Bomb with Flash Canon rather than give it both since Zoroark really doesn’t need both.
Snatch
It’s funny but also kinda useless
Howl
Another not very useful move but I could see it being okay in some scenarios and I don’t see a problem with giving this to Zoroark
Stealth Rocks
As a counterpart to regular Zoroark being given Spikes
It also would enable this version of Zoroark to be used as a lead Pokemon, which is important to Zoroark’s versatility. That said, it could also be a bad idea since the point of this version of Hisuian Zoroark is that it sacrifices its ability to act as a support in favor of raw power.
However, making it an anti-lead could be interesting. Especially since it’s currently built as a late game cleaner, running it like this could be a good way to throw the opponent off. But at the same time, giving it Stealth Rocks might give Zoroark too much versatility for its stats and coverage.
One thing I don’t want to give Zoroark is a grass move. The reason for that is it would give Zoroark too much power over Water/Ground types like Gastrodon. I don’t want this Pokemon to potentially bully Happy Slug out of the meta. I’m also iffy about giving Zoroark fairy coverage on its special sets because I don’t know how much that would translate to its physical sets or how much the threat of it running a special or hybrid set would interfere with the idea of physical Zoroark being countered by bulky Fairy types. Honestly, the best option would probably just be to remove Flash Canon and Sludge Bomb given my intentions. The fairy weakness is mostly meant to keep this Pokemon in check.
Signature Stuff
Same signature item and move as regular Zoroark. For the sake of not forcing anyone to read two things. This includes a signature item and move. The item gives it a x1.3 damage boost while illusion is up while the move is a base 75 dark type special attack that does double damage if illusion is up but it removes the illusion. I don’t think either of these additions get in the way with what Hisuian Zoroark is supposed to be. Both of this stuff is definitely stronger for special Zoroark than physical due to special Zoroark being more about coverage while I imagine physical Zoroark probably would prefer to run a choice item.
Conclusion
Probably the biggest issue with this Pokemon is that I overtuned it. It has a lot of coverage moves and a flexible position in the game which is backed up by overwhelming power. It’s basically too easy to slot on too many teams and is most likely more effective at its job than intended. Especially since common revenge kill moves don’t work on it due to its typing. First things I’d probably mess with are its coverage options. I think the physical set is relatively balanced since it has high damage but there are drawbacks and counterplay. The special attacks I gave it are what risks tipping it over. Probably swapping out moves like Fire Blast in favor of just Flamethrower would be more balanced since the lower power attacks available would make the player have to chose between power and coverage. Either way, I want this Pokemon to be extremely punishing in exchange for it requiring the player to get into the opponent’s head to best exploit. The other thing I’d potentially do to nerf it is to replace Stealth Rocks with Magic Coat, which would make getting up hazards on a lead Zoroark require running a prediction or using Copycat. I think part of the question includes how much damage is within the realm of reasonability for this Pokemon since the gambit’s probably going to be up the moment it attacks, even if illusion is still active. Also, while this is less versatile than what I gave regular Zoroark, it still more versatile than the average Pokemon by a decent margin, which could be a problem. But yeah, I want this Pokemon to feel like a beast waiting for the right moment to be unleashed, which is why its damage is so high.

random thoughts about tell me that you love me, episode sixteen
(the rest is under the cut because i'm worried about your eyes having to read ALL OF THAT and this post might contain spoilers)
The title of the episode is intriguing. What does it mean? (I do know what the word sympathy means, I'm just wondering what it means for the main couple)
I was not expecting to cry this much during this episode but here i am... HAHAHA! So much fun.
Seeing mo eun crying to her mom was a relief. She's always held back so I am happy she could be vulnerable around someone. Also, her thanking her mom for choosing her......... the tears haven't stopped.
I know this is the last episode and the writers are trying to resolve everything and everyone have a better relationship with others around them but I'm still iffy about do hun. The way he was written doesn't make any sense to me. It might be just me but he doesn't feel complete. It's like the writers forgot there were only three episodes left and decided to add a little backstory for him and everything feels rushed. I am thankful I can understand him a little better now but I'm not convinced about the development of the character. He still remains himself and doesn't want to appear too soft around others yet I don't know how to feel about him. It's one of the biggest drawbacks of the show for me.
I know the title of this episode is sympathy but it's hard to find a lot of it for do hun. It would have been better if the writers woke up earlier. The pacing of his story doesn't match the other characters' and it throws me off (not in the good way).
I must admit I like the bickering between seo kyung and do hun. It's refreshing to see the usual calm and collected seo kyung shout and being frustrated.
Ji yu and mo dam acting like the over the top cutesy couple was not on my bingo for this episode. But I'm glad my girl ji yu has been in a relationship for so long. She deserves to be loved and cared for.
YAY! I'm so happy the students are in a relationship with each other <3
The fact that mo eun's play resonates with her and jin woo's relationship.... And now jin woo will be able to understand it because there's a sign translator.... My heart is not strong enough for this.
Do they end up together or not? I'll choose to believe so.
That was a lot to take in... a 8/10
The title of the episode is intriguing.

3. “Storyworthy” by Matthew Dicks
Tumblr media
‘‘Your story must reflect change over time. A story cannot simply be a series of remarkable events. You must start out as one version of yourself and end as something new.” - Matthew Dicks
Book Title: Storyworthy
Author: Matthew Dicks
Genre: Memoir, Storytelling, Self-Help
Publication Year: 2018
Summary:
In 'Storyworthy' by Matthew Dicks, the art of storytelling takes center stage. The following three ideas helped me to tell better stories.
Be the Star: Matthew Dicks reminds us that in storytelling, we are the protagonist of our own tales. Much like the characters in 'Storyworthy,' we can make our stories captivating by sharing personal experiences, no matter how big or small.
Keep It Real: Just like sharing stories with a friend, authenticity is key. Fancy theatrics or dramatic language aren't necessary. The book emphasizes that storytelling should feel natural and genuine, making a real connection with your audience.
5-Second Magic: Throughout the book, we see the power of those five-second moments. In 'Storyworthy,' these moments change lives, just as they do in our own stories. By incorporating these moments into your narratives, you can captivate your audience and leave a lasting impression.
Main Characters:
Matthew Dicks
Reading Time: ~ 5-6 hours
Why I chose it:
I decided to read "Storyworthy" by Matthew Dicks because my father bought it and I read it later as well.
What I Liked:
I loved that the book was very authentic and the author managed to explain his own writing process for his stories very well. Throughout the book, he also told some stories from his life, which made the reading process much more worthwhile and enjoyable for me.
What I Didn't Like:
I didn't find any significant drawbacks in "Storyworthy”, but I would have found it nice, if the author could have included some exercises. He did talk about “Homework for Life”, where you are supposed to write one Storyworthy Moment down every day, but in my opinion, some more specific exercises would have been helpful as well.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall Thoughts:
"Storyworthy" by Matthew Dicks is a gem for anyone interested in storytelling, personal development, or effective communication. It's a book that not only entertains with its compelling narratives but also educates by sharing practical tips and strategies to enhance your own storytelling skills.
Recommendation: 👍👍
Additional Comments:
If you're looking to improve your storytelling skills further, consider attending a live storytelling event or workshop in your area. Sharing your own stories can be a transformative experience, just as it was for the author

Competition in identical Goods
This isn't an analysis in similar good, like granny-smith apples and honey crisp apples, but identical goods.
After being shown several examples, such as price competition in a dozen eggs I thought it might be interesting to examine how this function works through several methods. Socialistic, Capitalistic, and competition between both.
So if three farmers produce several dozens of eggs, the farmer who prices his eggs the lowest we will no doubt sell out first. If that's the total amount that a community needs, then the other two farmers won't sell anything unless they price competitively.
If demand is high, all three farmers will eventually sell all their eggs, and the farmer with the lowest price will increase his prices simply because the demand is higher than the supply and they will all eventually sell out.
Unless you price over what the customers are willing or able to pay, then all the farmers won't sell out without a price decrease. Remember, the customers are budgeting for total food, and they might go with a cheaper product instead. (Like a bag of potatoes, even if they're not getting their total protein intake.)
Which may result in eggs going bad instead of being sold.
If the demand is low, then one of those farmers will take a hit. He will have no choice. Unless one farmer undercuts the others, they may end up with product that goes bad before it is sold.
There's a few ways to ensure that all farmers get equitable payment, that also ensures the product is available to your average consumer. The first is through incorporation or conglomeration. A bunch of egg farmers get together, package their eggs together, and then divide the revenue amongst themselves. So if 5 farmers work together, everybody gets paid 1/5 an egg instead of competing together.
The problem with this is, that farmers are currently overwhelmed and underpayed by the current overlords that control most of the egg corps. Imagine working fast food, but instead it's chicken butts and cardboard.
The farmers are also expected to take loans from these corps to start up, which is where most of the profit comes from the corporate side, and the farms take the losses if they can't keep up with the demands of the corp, who also penalizes them for it.
See: Stray Dog Institute for more information
Another way is the socialistic method, the government sets aside money for the expected need of the population. The government buys the eggs from the farmers, and then sells it to the customers. This has a few of it's own benefits and drawbacks, one drawback is similar to the current problem with incorporation, in that the government might pay less than the farms put into producing the eggs. But a benefit, is that the government can afford to sell the eggs at a lower cost than they paid for it. They'll make the loss back through taxes.
We can see that both of these methods have the same drawback that many people would place solely on "socialism" and that's why it's key that there is both. If they are competing, farms can sell where they get more money, and customers can buy from where it's cheapest to buy.
The competition also means that they have to adhere to certain safety standards, and increasing safety standards can be a competition point.
The main drawback of the socialistic method is that there's no room for discerning "like items" except by the USDA grading scale. So "organic" and "cage-free" and similar methods that were often used to claim healthier and more tasty product yields don't fit, since both are more worried about low-price and product yield instead of product quality.
That's where the capitalist method, and allowing individual family-owned farms to shine. If they can find a customer base, they can sell outside the paradigm created by the worst of capitalism and socialism combined.
With enough effort, the standards of the family farm can make it into the safety and health minimum standards for egg production.
Currently, however, that's not likely. Since most people can't afford whole-foods, they're not about to waste what little money they have for food on food they might not be able to tell the difference.
This is the landscape we're facing today, and everybody already knows that you don't take the more expensive option when the only option is belt tightening. And that's going to hurt the individuals at the end of all these options.
Those farmers incorporated, the ones subsidized, the family farmers, and the individual consumer. They're all currently hurting, even though we still waste more eggs than we eat.
Isn't that something?
